The first two articles concern last week’s rioting. According to local sources, the rioters in the Hague and Utrecht are Moroccans.

Riots in Kanaleneiland [neighborhood], youths throw fireworks bombs
Utrecht — Riots broke out Friday evening in the Kanaleneiland neighborhood in Utrecht. In social media, including Snapchat, you can see how a bus stop was destroyed. Fireworks bombs were also thrown, and cars and scooters drove through the streets honking their horns.
Around midnight police blocked the area, and a mobile unit began sweeping the streets. It is unknown whether arrests were made. Around 1am, by use of a loudspeaker, police announced an emergency order was in force and that anyone still on the streets would be arrested.
“Surpass the Hague”
A resident of Kanaleneiland could see the rioting youth from her living room. “On Thursday, I saw a call on Snapchat in which they said they wanted to surpass the Hague. Well, it worked. The Hague has been surpassed. I didn’t know it would be so violent.”
According to her, the riots began around 8:30pm. “I am in shock over how many people there were. Every 15 minutes, you hear firework bombs. How can that be when the police are present?” The police won’t say more than there is unrest in Kanaleneiland. “There are many youths on the street; there is unrest and vandalism.” As to how many youths there are, a spokesperson cannot say.
It was further reported that a car was set on fire. “There was a car fire, which was put out by the fire brigade.”
Earlier in the day there was a call to riot in Kanaleneiland. “There was a report going around on social media that there was a call to riot tonight at the Rijnbaan. We don’t know how true that is and if it will happen. Yet we are calling on our youth to maintain the peace! Talk to them and above all, do not forget that we must protect our Kanaleneiland neighborhood,” the Kanaleneiland Information Center announced Friday afternoon on Facebook.
The second article is from the Belgian outlet Sceptr.net, but concerns events in the Netherlands:
Large-scale rioting in Schilderswijk [The Hague]

Wednesday evening a large group of immigrant youths caused a lot of damage in the Schilderswijk area of the Hague. At least 100 people came out onto the street, opened fire hydrants, lit fires, and caused a lot of damage to cars and street construction. When the police arrived to bring the situation under control, they were pelted with eggs and stones.
Rioting and looting continued in Chicago, forcing the mayor to order the downtown to be closed overnight. A police car was stolen by rioters and crashed into a parked car.
Meanwhile, gangs of masked Antifa rioters rampaged unchecked through Seattle, breaking windows and spray-painting graffiti.
In other news, in the English city of Birmingham, a 17-year-old girl was arrested for deliberately driving her car at pedestrians.

“The Caucasus is Ground Zero in the New Cold War between the U.S. and Russia.”
I wrote that several years ago, and it’s still true, particularly after Christian Armenia decisively repulsed a mid-July attack by Muslim Azerbaijan.
Perhaps dozens of Azeris died in the battles, including a major-general, colonel, and two majors. Armenia reported far fewer deaths and captured a new defensive position, even though Azerbaijan possesses a bigger arsenal, quadruple the GDP, and more than triple Armenia’s population.
Azerbaijan attacked Armenia’s northeastern border and has done so before. Typically, though, Azerbaijan attacks Artsakh (Karabagh), the de facto-independent Armenian-majority region that voted some thirty years ago for freedom from Azerbaijan, which rejects that vote.
Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin deceitfully annexed Artsakh and the ancient Armenian region of Nakhichevan to Azerbaijan in the 1920s. Far from being ancient itself, Azerbaijan was invented only in 1918.
Why should any of this matter to the rest of the world?
Why It Matters
Armenian-Western relations go back thousands of years. The US/NATO/EU (we’ll term it the “Western Bloc”) has been very friendly to Armenia and Artsakh and aided them economically for decades.
Landlocked Armenia, however, depends on Russia for most of its gas and weapons. Moscow also controls much of Armenia’s energy network.
Armenia (population 3 million), nevertheless, remains under threat from Azerbaijan (population 10 million) and Turkey (population 82 million) since the USSR’s dissolution in 1991.
Armenia under Siege
Turkey committed genocide against Armenians in 1915-23. The Armenian Highlands and everything else Armenian, particularly in what are now eastern and southern Turkey, were destroyed or confiscated. Azeris joined in that genocide in the Caucasus.
The Armenian Genocide isn’t mere history. The threat of Genocide 2.0 always looms.
Turkey and Azerbaijan (motto: “two countries, one nation”) won’t come to terms with Armenia’s existence. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev says all of Armenia should be part of Azerbaijan — without Armenians, of course.
This year’s 9/11 commemoration in New York City has been cancelled due to concerns over the Wuhan Coronavirus. Meanwhile, according to The New York Times, more than 40% of coronavirus deaths in the USA have occurred in nursing homes.
In other coronanews, New Zealand’s health czar announced that all those who test positive for COVID-19, plus their families, will be interned in “quarantine facilities”.

A sick old man called CDA

A few days ago I wrote about the election of Pipo the Clown Hugo de Jonge as the newly-elected leader of the CDA (Dutch Christian Democrat party*). I explained a bit that his election wasn’t the smartest move and why. Well, it’s going to get worse. A lot worse. At this moment the CDA is a very sick old man. With very fancy shoes, I have to grant him that. Unfortunately, he’s standing in a pool with hungry sharks.
On the 17th of March 2021 we will have elections. Dutch elections are rather complicated, because we have so many parties*. More parties than a month has days, to be exact. So a coalition government must be formed. We have 150 seats in parliament, which requires a minimum of 76 seats for a workable cabinet. The biggest electoral victory ever was in 1977 by the socialists (PvdA), who took 53 seats. Even with that huge victory they couldn’t form a cabinet. They thought they could demand the moon. Reality hit them very hard when enough other parties teamed up together to scrape the required 76 seat majority. Which they did. The PvdA spent the next decade in the opposition.
This Mr. de Jonge is as ambitious as he is incompetent. There was a debate in parliament in which he had to defend himself against Geert Wilders, the leader of the PVV*. He didn’t defend himself at all. He just sat quietly at the back, waiting for Mark Rutte to do the saving. Geert Wilders was at his best. And de Jonge? Not so much. He sat quietly in the corner like a naughty schoolboy waiting for the trashing to be over. Even poor old Joe Biden would have done better…
His poor performance means that the sharks have smelled blood. Now everybody is out to get a piece of the corpse. Not by attacking de Jonge directly. There’s really no need for it. His faith is far worse. He is ignored. Wilders mentioned him, sure enough. But only because he is the minister of health, and as such responsible for the CCP virus debacle. Wilders didn’t attack him, but his ministry and the cabinet. So will all the others. The CDA will probably lose massively. So much so that it’s not at all unlikely they will have to merge with the CU (Christian Union*, communist Calvinist Christians) to survive.
How did this come to be? That’s because of the CDA mastodons. There is a huge difference — just like in your Democrat party — between what the party elite wants and what the voters want. The party elite is staunchly against Wilders and pro-political correctness. The voters are exactly the other way around. Perhaps not really in favor of the PVV; otherwise they would have voted for it. But definitely not against a coalition with the PVV. Unlike the party elite, who would rather shut the party down than work with Wilders. Even Rutte has no real problem with the PVV. Provided of course that he remains in power. But the CDA would rather dies than give in. Not a big problem, I think. That can be arranged.
The election of de Jonge was an internal election. Only card-carrying CDA members could vote. Most Dutch people are not members of any party. Of a population of 17 million, perhaps 40,000 people are members of the CDA party. The CDA is a big party; most parties have far fewer members. That meant that the election could easily be directed toward the desired result. Someone who really hates Wilders, not the other candidate (Pieter Omtzigt), who is more open for a compromise.
That opens a new track for the elections. Left and right are looking for the corpse that is the CDA. The party elite wants to turn left. The electorate does not. They have to decide now where to go. Some will turn left. But I think most will have no other option than go conservative. Do mind that I say: conservative, not right. If you read the party programs of really right-wing parties, you might think you were reading the same nonsense of really left-wing parties. There is very little difference between the extreme left and right. (Also in America.) In Dutch politics the conservative parties almost all moved to the left, which created a gap. That gap is filled by the PVV and to a lesser extend the Forum for Democracy (FvD). The CDA is polling at around 16 seats right now. They’ll be lucky to keep 10 of them.
On Wednesday a man with a knife entered the cathedral (Duomo) in Milan and took a policeman hostage. There was a tense standoff with police for fifteen minutes before the officer was rescued unharmed.
The man with the knife evidently gave his name as “Christiano”. However, according to official information released later by Italian authorities, the hostage-taker is an Egyptian named Mahmoud Mohamed Zin Elaabdin Elhosary. That gives the incident a Mohammed Coefficient of 200%, which is very unusual.

July 28, 2020It can hardly be believed: The man (23), who is alleged to have raped a 13-year-old in Dortmund on Friday, apparently struck a month before!
On June 20, the Afghan allegedly raped an 11-year-old. “It was a similar incident,” confirmed prosecutor Börge Klepping about the earlier incident, when answering a question from BILD. To protect the now 12-year-old victim he did not want to give details.
Shortly after the crime, the man was arrested, but after only twelve days, on July 3, he was released from custody under reporting requirements. Reason: No risk of flight.
The prosecutor: “He had previously been named in a drug offense, but not in connection with sex crimes. He had a fixed residence, and so there was no flight risk.”
On Friday it is alleged that the Afghan, who has a temporary resident permit, lured a 13-year-old into a hallway and raped her. Because the girl gave a good description, her tormentor was arrested Saturday night.
Prosecutor Klepping: “He is in custody for serious sexual abuse (rape).”
