Bracket Creep Fundraising

Early Winter Fundraiser 2017, Day Six

Today is the final day of our quarterly fundraising week. For those who have been tardy about clinking the tip cup, there are still 24 hours left! After that, your carriage will turn into a pumpkin drawn by voles.

On my good days — which come and go — cooking and gardening are my favorite activities. With December coming in, my time outside is more limited, though I’m still planting spring bulbs. The skunks don’t eat bulbs, thank Heavens, but the voles sure do. So one of the things I do is bury each one with bone meal (for the bulb) and a healthy dose of cayenne powder in the hole to discourage the voles. Doesn’t hurt the bulb, but it sure does cause the voles some pain. Liberal sprinklings of powdered coyote urine also make them feel unwelcome.

As for cooking, it is the one thing I can do with almost no effort. I’ve been the supper cook in my house since I was ten years old: my mother worked, so I cooked. It was a matter of self-defense, because otherwise she’d come home and fix poached eggs. It wasn’t long before I was doing the weekly shopping. It was a long, hot haul from the grocery store to home.

The B claims I can take a pickle and a glass of water and make a meal for six. Okay, that’s hyperbole, but it’s also the reason why I chose this cartoon: I like to celebrate unlikely food. In this episode, Fat Freddy’s Cat knows darn well his Furry Friends don’t like mouses — he’s releasing them for his own future dining entertainment.

[Remember the late B. Kliban’s cats? My favorite was the one who did the BB King imitation, here. After reading the legalese on that site, it seems one daren’t quote it directly, but that’s still one of my favorite little ditties on cats’ favorite food. It must be the juxtaposition of the lyrics with that BB King-esque blues guitar.]

Tip jarThese quarterly fundraisers are much on my mind when I make my grocery list. How well we do in a given quarter decides the menus for the coming three months. But I’m used to that: being married to a starving artist taught me to make do. In fact, one of our first arguments was in a grocery store: living on very little (I was job-hunting then) meant watching every penny. So we came to the crucial moment of deciding whether to classify parmesan cheese as a necessity or a luxury. The Baron thought it was something we could live without, while I made the case for: “What is the point of living without parmesan for flavor?” Neither of us can remember who won that ‘discussion’. Probably moi — the B is ever a pushover for women’s wantings. Smart man.

I love the things Americans often consider the nasty bits — you know… those tasty entrails. For years I didn’t cook tongue or kidneys or sweetbreads because family members would flee. Now I cook ’em when I can get em’ while still maintaining a standard diet for the Baron and assorted relatives/friends. I love braunschweiger, and I know the difference between it and liverwurst; no one else will eat either one. Oh, well — more for me. Chicken foot broth, anyone? Actually, I prefer to combine the feet with the stripped carcass of the chicken; it makes for a more deeply-flavored broth. I’ve never had prairie oysters, but I’ll bet they make good eating, too.

It was too cold today to work outside so I stayed by the stove, making oxtail soup and pondering this post, this fundraiser… Pondering is a by-product of food preparation in my experience. When the broth was done, I removed the bone and gristle, skimmed the fat for other uses, and made a beef vegetable soup, roasting the vegetables first.

As long as I remove the bones and gristle, the Baron likes it just fine. I saved half the broth to make sweet and sour cabbage later this week. That’s one dish the B really likes, and it’s always better the next day. Once a guest of ours said, with tears in his eyes, that the sweet and sour cabbage I’d served for supper was as good as his Bubbe’s. I was touched by his declaration but made him promise never to tell her that; what grandmother could forgive such a betrayal?

Of late, the flavors of Indian foods don’t appeal as they once did. I’m returning to the comfort food of my childhood, which means that oxymoron, Irish cuisine — or what passed for middle-class food in Ireland when my mother was growing up. Back then, “Irish food” was cabbage, ham, lamb stew, beef brisket. Or shepherd’s pie [these days, I cut the starch by blending mashed potatoes with pureed cauliflower]. We seldom had roasts; they were too expensive. But my mother could wax eloquent on the size of the roast in her childhood. Or her mother’s recipe for trifle.

One time her youngest brother, my Irish immigrant uncle who lived with us for a while when he first came to America (my mother was his sponsor), brought home a steak and asked me to prepare it. I cooked it the same way I did every other piece of beef: braised in a thickened broth. In other words, a flatter version of stew. Ummm…it wasn’t a culinary hit; I’d committed the sin of “ruining a nice bit of beef”. To his credit, my uncle ate it anyway and the next day he came home with another steak and showed me how to prepare it properly. My first taste of rare beef! Who knew such a bloody thing could be so good?

Though she was an indifferent cook, my mother took to American foods with gusto. We could (and did) get buckets of fresh shrimp for ten cents a pound. And she loved collard greens with fatback. Grits with eggs and bacon on Sunday mornings. The point of ketchup was lost on her, though. Since it was decidedly American she’d buy a bottle…and after a year or so in the Florida heat it would gum up and turn dark so we’d throw it away and she’d buy a fresh bottle. To this day I’ve never figured it out either; I only use ketchup to make the red seafood sauce the Baron likes. The commercial kind has way too much sugar and high fructose corn syrup.

It must be hard for families today to maintain supper routines. Often both parents work, the kids have sports activities, everyone is connected to a device of some kind. I hope (and literally pray) that children are learning the loving routines involved in breaking bread together every day. Those habits are the mortar that will cement their lives as they grow up and look back fondly at the family of their young years.

Saturday’s generosity came in from:

Stateside: Alaska, California, Colorado, Georgia, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Texas

Near Abroad: Dominican Republic

Far Abroad: The Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Thailand, and the UK

Canada: Ontario

Australia: New South Wales

The Baron will post a wrap-up of the week (featuring a full list of the places donors came from) sometime tomorrow.

Saturday’s update from the Baron:

Continuing with the Furry Freak Brothers theme, the image at the top is the famous poster of Freewheelin’ Franklin with his big fat doobie.

In my senior year in college there was a guy in our dorm who was a dead ringer for Franklin, right down to the hair and hat. But his schnozz wasn’t quite as big as the Freaker’s.

Those were the days. Sigh…

After long acquaintance with the New Testament, especially the Gospels, it becomes clear that some of the parables that Jesus told must have been quite humorous to an audience immersed in the language and context of first-century Judea. For example, consider the Parable of the Unjust Judge, as told in Luke 18:2-8 (New International Version):

“In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”

And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

The widow and the judge were probably both recognizable character types in the context of the time. Widows had very limited rights under Jewish law in those days; that’s why the judge didn’t have to rule in her favor. So she would have been portrayed as pushy and loud-mouthed, and the judge was probably vain, pompous, and haughty.

Who knows what facial expressions and hand gestures Jesus used to mime this story? Did he put on the voices of each character in turn?

It was probably quite a hoot for those who heard it; that’s one of the reasons it was remembered and passed down. But it had to migrate from the original Aramaic into spoken and then written Greek, losing its original flavor in the process. And we English-speakers get yet another translation.

A car exploded just yards away from a Christmas market in Harrow in northwest London. The fire brigade was on the scene for an hour or more. Very little additional information is available about the incident, but a post on the 4chan website said that “a car bomb malfunctioned”.

In other news, hundreds of asylum seekers were relocated from their camp on the island of Lesbos to the Greek mainland.

Never Underestimate the Power of a Retweet

The following essay about Donald Trump’s infamous retweets of Jayda Fransen was published earlier at Vlad Tepes in a slightly different form.

One tweet lets all the poisons that lurk in the mud hatch out (Paraphrase from I, Claudius)

by Vlad Tepes

It’s really stunning how this one retweet by Donald Trump has polarized media, parliaments and reams of pundits and politicians.

To quote the former Bundesbank board member, Thilo Sarrazin, “If Neo Nazis said the sun rises in the East, should I disagree because Neo Nazis said it?”

The fact is, those movies show the brutal and staggering victimization of all things non-Muslim in Western nations. And the reaction to his pointing it out is causing all with an interest in the Narrative to protest too much about it, while those of us suffering from a loss of rights, culture and law give a quiet cheer.

The news has more on President Trump’s retweet than it does about North Korea now having the capability of destroying any North American city with a single missile. There has to be a reason for this. We are seeing a massive crescendo of criticism from media and left-leaning politicians and governments far beyond what this tweet should matter.

The Streisand Effect to end all Streisand effects.

But at least it’s in the open for all to see. We have Western governments that are not affording their own people the benefits of their own laws, while exempting Muslims on the thinnest excuses from the consequences of acts of which they are guilty. Frankly, the items that President Trump retweeted are banal compared to so many that take place on a weekly basis.

The rest of us can now know however, that the May government in the UK is what we already knew it was. A left-leaning government determined to follow a path of Cultural Marxism forcing the very bitter end of anything remotely like England or Great Britain.

And British media and American media are not much better. Their template on what speech is acceptable and what is not could be applied letter by letter to anti-Nazi films, and they just hope we won’t notice. Like the excuses used to cancel the film at the Ottawa Public Library last Saturday. Every word they said about identifiable groups could be applied to any Spielberg film about WW2, as you cannot leave the theatre without being full of contempt and hatred for Nazis and joy at their defeat. Nazis are an ideologically defined group, just like Islam. But Islam gets a pass for its ideology of genocide and Islamic manifest destiny.

When truth is hate speech, we are doomed. Speak up. Speak often, pay the price. Because the price only ever goes up when ignored.

Tommy Robinson: Justice for Nikki

In the following video Tommy Robinson interviews an English woman named Nikki Hurst who recently became a victim of culture-enriching violence. She lives in the town of Batley, which is more or less between Bradford and Leeds in what used to be the West Riding of Yorkshire. When I lived in Harrogate in the 1960s, Batley was still a normal working-class Yorkshire town, although neighboring Bradford already had a reputation for being full of “Pakis”. Now the whole region has been culturally enriched, and Batley has gone the way of Leeds, Dewsbury, and Keighley.

Here’s Tommy’s report:

While I was watching this video, it occurred to me that we have now passed the point where Britain might be prevented from making its final descent into Multicultural Hell. It’s just too late — there isn’t enough time left.

The country has been seeded with a large cohort of feral and fecund foreigners, and the demographics of the situation are bad news for the native English. Even if a majority of the white population were to wake up to their dire plight in the next year or two — which seems unlikely — what could be done to reverse course? The only possible outcome to a sudden and massive surge of public pressure to get rid of the culture-enrichers would be the onset of severe inter-ethnic violence.

I can’t really call it a “civil war”, because it doesn’t fit the customary definition of the term. “Race war” is closer. Or “sectarian strife”, except that the warring sides would be Muslims and atheists — do atheists constitute a sect? There aren’t enough Christians left to assemble a meaningful faith-based militia, so it would have to be atheists allied with Sikhs and Hindus against the Muslims. A nasty business.

The big question is whether believers in No-God can be motivated to defend their non-religion against fervent zealots who can’t wait to claim their supernatural harem in the afterlife.

It seems just as likely that native English culture will slowly fizzle out, with occasional outbreaks of protests and minor clashes, but over the long term “working the dying fall”.

God help the English.

Hat tip: Vlad Tepes.

The OIC’s Long March Through American Institutions

The following report by our D.C. correspondent Frontinus concerns the use of foreign money by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to buy American public opinion and change government policy. There’s no secret about what the OIC is doing — they planned it at their annual conference last December, and posted a policy paper (PDF) with the details. It’s a blatant, in-your-face operation.

Frontinus’ report is designed as a game plan for grassroots organizations and think tanks to use to expose and counter the subversion of American journalists and our public officials

The OIC’s Long March Through Western Institutions

by Frontinus

The Tactic:

In late December 2016, the OIC announced plans to pay American and European journalists and influential political leaders in order to change government policies based on OIC instructions and coordination.

This isn’t against the law in the United States, but anyone taking the OIC funds — a journalist or an influential person — should register as a foreign agent under the U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). These three criteria are required:

1)   Foreign money,
2)   foreign instructions, and
3)   an intent to influence public opinion and change policy to align with foreign interests.

— for an organization or individual to have to register as a foreign agent under FARA. And, given the OIC’s statements in the linked document (also excerpted below), they are indeed in place.

We just don’t know who in the U.S. is taking the money to do the OIC’s bidding. Which brings us to…

The Asks:

1.   For the media and other advocates for the OIC’s policy positions: Journalists, and political leaders probably won’t announce that they have been paid by the OIC. But when they clearly ARE writing and advocating for OIC positions, we can ask them outright if they’ve accepted money from the OIC, either directly or indirectly — and demand that they register as Foreign Agents, if they have in fact been paid.
2.   For Congress: Let Congressmen know that the OIC has announced it’s going to do exactly what the FARA legislation was written to cover: it’s a foreign entity purchasing influence and journalists in order to change US opinion and government policies. FARA has come up in the news recently, with the failures by both Paul Manafort and Tony Podesta to register as foreign agents. The State Department needs to demand that the OIC provide lists of any American citizens it is paying, and how much, so that the FARA office can implement the FARA legislation. And of course, the FARA office needs much stronger congressional oversight.

Background:

On December 21, 2016 in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, the OIC held the 11th Session of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers, titled “Session of the New Media to Counter Terrorism and Islamophobia”. The goal of the meeting was to develop the “OIC Media Strategy in Countering Islamophobia and its Implementation Mechanisms.” The document is here. It’s only ten pages long, and various sections may be useful for organizations dedicated to opposing Islamization.

As always with OIC documents, the English can be a bit odd — presumably badly translated from the Arabic.

Somewhat arbitrarily, I quote the following bits, starting with the Long Term Goals (emphasis added):

III. Long Term Goals:

1.   To call media professionals to develop, articulate and implement voluntary codes of conduct to counter Islamophobia. The OIC and its Member States should be vocal in calling media professionals to use the power they have with responsibly through accurate reporting.
2.   To assess successful media campaigns with a view to understanding the strong factors to be replicated and review the unsuccessful ones for avoiding the weak contents and procedures.
3.   To engage with western governments in creating awareness against the dangers of Islamophobia by addressing the responsibility of media on the issue.

The Actions are also worth noting — Page 2:

Bosnian Croat General Commits Suicide After Final ICTY Verdict

A Bosnian Croat named Slobodan Praljak, a general during the Balkan civil wars of the 1990s, committed suicide today in The Hague. Gen. Praljak’s suicide was very public: he drank poison during a hearing at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, just after a judge rejected his final appeal.

Gen. Praljak was 72 years old and was facing twenty years in prison. Many convicted defendants do all they can to save themselves so they can live out the rest of their lives in prison, but the general was evidently not cut from that sort of cloth. After drinking the poison, before he was carried out of the courtroom by EMTs, he said, “I am not a war criminal. I oppose this conviction.”

A note to readers, before you jump all over me about this: I’m not saying that Gen. Praljak was an innocent lamb who did not deserve the sentence handed down. Nor am I saying he was a depraved psychopath who deserved what he got, and more. I’m not qualified to evaluate such matters, so that’s not what I’m doing.

My interest is in the political nature of the ICTY, which I consider a kangaroo court. But before we get into that, here’s the report from Australian ABC:

Bosnian Croat War General Dies After Drinking Poison During Trial in the Hague

The wartime commander of Bosnian Croat forces, Slobodan Praljak, has died after he drank poison seconds after UN judges turned down his appeal against a 20-year sentence for war crimes against Bosnian Muslims, Croatian state television reports.

Sources close to Mr Praljak told Croatia’s state TV he died in a hospital in The Hague.

Dutch police will not comment on the TV report based on “sources close to General Praljak”.

Spokesman for the tribunal Nenad Golcevski, when asked if he could confirm the death, said: “I have no information to share at this point”.

Mr Praljak, 72, tilted back his head and took a swing from a bottle shortly after appeals judges confirmed his sentence for involvement in a campaign to drive Muslims out of a would-be Bosnian Croat ministate in Bosnia in the early 1990s.

“I just drank poison,” he said.

“I am not a war criminal. I oppose this conviction.”

Presiding Judge Carmel Agius had overturned some of Mr Praljak’s convictions but left his sentence unchanged.

Judge Agius quickly halted the hearing at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

Dutch police, an ambulance and a fire truck quickly arrived outside the court’s headquarters and emergency service workers, some of them wearing helmets and with oxygen tanks on their backs, went into the court.

The ICTY is about to close its doors after 24 years of dispensing international “justice” at The Hague. During that time it has handed down 161 indictments. Gen. Praljak provided a fitting finale for the court that will most likely color future historical accounts of its proceedings.

Based on the Wikipedia entry for the ICTY (see the bottom of this post for the full table), 17 of the 161 defendants indicted were Muslims, and six of those were convicted. That means that 10.6% of those indicted were Muslims, and of those convicted, 6.7% were Muslims.

The civil wars in the former Yugoslavia were by and large a three-way affair: Serbs vs. Croats vs. Muslims (Bosniaks and Kosovars). Therefore one might expect the indictments to break down into roughly a third for each group.

But they don’t. So what’s the reason for that? Why are Muslims under-represented in the court’s cases? Are Serbs and Croats simply that much more bestial and depraved than the Bosniaks and the Kosovars?

Or was the ICTY simply carrying out a political agenda?

My money’s on the latter. Saudi money was (and is) very prominent in the Balkans on behalf of Bosnians and ethnic Albanians. That money has a long reach in other places, too. Carefully targeted amounts earmarked for various groups and individuals working the international “justice” scam could do wonders to direct the indictments.

Based on the historical evidence from the Balkans, there is no reason to suspect that Bosniaks and Kosovars are any less bestial than their Serb and Croat neighbors. If reports are to be believed, the Kosovars are the most bestial of all. So the light presence of Muslims in the dock and in the prisons is significant.

Also: You’ll notice that some of those convicted Muslims got out early, after three years or so, for the same types of crimes that sent Serbs and Croats to prison for twenty years. I don’t have time to evaluate the early-release patterns for the non-Muslims, but the complete data are available below for those who wish to crunch the numbers.

Here’s the full table of indictments and convictions. See the wiki page for footnotes and links to more information. Muslim defendants and the disposition of their cases are bolded in red:

Katie Hopkins: “Resist the Narrative”

Katie Hopkins is a British journalist and opinion writer who is well-known in the United Kingdom. She’s also very controversial, since she has strong conservative opinions. Real, non-PC conservatism, not the gelded deracinated pabulum peddled by the “Conservative” Party.

Until very recently Ms. Hopkins was a columnist for MailOnline, the internet arm of The Daily Mail. The other day her contract was not renewed, “by mutual consent”, and she left the Mail. You can read about the controversy in this article from the Grauniad.

It must have been a refreshing change for Ms. Hopkins to come to America and speak at David Horowitz’ annual Restoration Weekend a few weeks ago. A friendly audience, and no risk of being arrested for “racial incitement” — what a difference!

Katie Hopkins is impassioned, witty, vulgar, profound, and inspiring by turns, and sometimes all at once. Here’s her excellent speech from the Restoration Weekend:

Grenade Attack on Police in Uppsala

A “youth” detonates an explosive in a parking garage. The police nab him and bring him in. In response, some of his buddies throw a hand grenade at a police car.

Welcome to Modern Multicultural Sweden!

Many thanks to Tania Groth for translating this article from 24Uppsala:

EXTRA: A hand grenade was thrown against a police car — exploded on the road

This is how the event occurred yesterday evening. “There is panic throughout the organization”.

Tuesday morning 24Uppsala reported on an explosion that occurred on Monday evening. Some sort of explosive charge was detonated in a parking garage near the police station, damaging several nearby cars.

Earlier this morning, the police announced that a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of involvement in attempted murder and general mayhem.

At 11:10pm last night a loud explosion could be heard in the area of the Uppsala police station. According to sources for 24Uppsala.se, a grenade was thrown against a police car that was driving in the vicinity at the time.

The grenade, however, must have missed the police car and instead detonated on the road, resulting in a pressure wave in the direction of a residential area.

“There is panic throughout the organization right now. We already have several murders and shootings, and now this,” says a police officer who wishes to remain anonymous.

Follow-up summarized by Tania from Nettavisen.no:

In this article, the police spokeswoman Lisa Sandervik mentions that it likely is a result of recent events. “Last week we had an action in Gottsunda / Valsätra district (no-go zone), where we now have a situation we must assume is an action in retribution for the police operation in the area,” says Sannervik.

Killing Free Speech in Canada

Last month we reported on a new film made by a Danish-American videographer named Michael Hansen. After fifteen years away from home, Mr. Hansen returned to Europe and recorded a video chronicle of his experiences that highlighted the increasing violence and chaos caused by Islamization. From his video material he compiled a documentary called Killing Europe.

The documentary was to have been screened last week at the public library in Ottawa. The library staff and the police had watched the film and judged that it passed the library’s policies on sensitivity, inclusion, tolerance, etc blah yak. Mr. Hansen was heading for the venue to take part in the premiere when the library abruptly cancelled the screening.

Below is a text and video report on what happened.

Motion M-103 is already being implemented

By an ACT! For Canada member involved in planning the event

Today, November 25, ACT! For Canada was to have hosted the world premiere of the film Killing Europe at the main branch of the Ottawa Public Library. Without even seeing the film, the left decided that it must not be shown and set out to intimidate and bully the Library, apparently with the help of the Mayor, several Ottawa City Council members, and one particular lawyer.

The Library’s auditorium had been booked a month ago, and confirmation of the booking (which included a review by Library staff of the intended use) and acknowledgement of payment were received on October 27. On November 14 we were contacted by phone by the Library about security concerns due to activity on social media, and we agreed to pay for this. The Library called again on Wednesday, November 22nd, three days before the showing, to confirm security plans, for which they would bill us. Everything seemed set to go and we thanked them for not giving in to pressure.

But at 11:43 a.m. the day before the showing the Library sent an email saying that as a result of a number of complaints, the Library took a “further review of the presentation” and the event was cancelled. Although the Library had the phone numbers of the person who made the booking, they did not call. We only became aware of the email in the afternoon, and could not reach anyone at the Library. The person who made the booking went to the Library to confirm that the cancellation was not a hoax. One of the division managers informed her that the cancellation was real. Upon questioning, the division manager agreed that the Library should have phoned to notify us of the cancellation. But she insisted that the cancellation was not due to pressure, but because the film did not conform to the Library’s Terms and Conditions. This despite the fact that the Library had over a month to view the film and had confirmed security arrangements two days earlier.

The filmmaker was to have been present at the world premiere of his film and was on his way from his home in the US (no one would have been surprised had he been stopped at the border). That is what the left does when they decide that they will not ALLOW anyone they don’t approve of! They stop at nothing and our craven authorities give in to their bullying.

The press release from ACT! For Canada / Ottawa:

Ottawa, 24th of November, 2017

Cancellation of the Screening of the Documentary Film ‘Killing Europe’ at the Ottawa Public Library

The world premiere screening of the documentary film Killing Europe by the Danish-born film-maker Michael Hansen had been scheduled to take place on Saturday, the 25th of November, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm, in the Ottawa Public Library Main Auditorium, 120 Metcalfe St., Ottawa. On the 24th of November, 2017, the Ottawa Public Library informed Act! Ottawa that they were withdrawing from the agreement to rent us space to screen this documentary film, as it was deemed to be in breech of community standards.

ACT! For Canada is an organization that highlights human rights abuses, giving voice to victims of violence and oppression, regardless of the consequences. It is in this spirit that ACT! For Canada was screening this documentary film, Killing Europe. The subject of this documentary is difficult, painful and may be triggering to more vulnerable members of our society — and ACT! For Canada fully admits that.

It sheds light on the growth of several very problematic movements within Europe, including homophobia, anti-Semitism and rape culture. However difficult these issues are, it is essential that they be exposed for what they are, and that the victims have the opportunity to tell their stories, no matter how difficult and traumatic these are.

This is exactly what the documentary film Killing Europe does: it brings forward the personal, first-person accounts of stories of victims of rape, anti-Semitism, and homophobia and the violence they had been subjected to. Yes, these stories are painful and troubling, but they are true, first-person accounts of victims of institutionalized violence — and they deserve a fair hearing.

By de-platforming the world premiere screening of Killing Europe, the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Public Library are permitting the perpetuation of these abuses and are permitting themselves to be tools of institutionalized oppression.

We at ACT! For Canada are staunch defenders of the human rights of the most vulnerable members of our society, and we condemn in the strongest terms possible the re-victimization of women who have bravely spoke out about their experience of rape and the institutionalized misogyny that they had been subjected to, being further compounded by being denied the means to share their experience by the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Public Library.

For ACT! For Canada, ACT!Ottawa,
Alexandra Belaire

Gang Rape in Fittja

The news article below describes an egregious incident of sexual violence in Sweden without mentioning the ethnicity or “migration background” of the perpetrators. I’m sure it’s clear to a Swedish audience that the twenty men who raped the woman were culture-enrichers, because the media have covert ways of indicating such information. For one thing, if the rapists were white Swedish men (or even white non-Swedes), the reporter would have told us as much.

Furthermore, in Europe the crime of gang rape is almost exclusively the province of third-world immigrants. This is especially true in Scandinavia, where gang rape was unknown until culture-enrichers began arriving in large numbers two or three decades ago.
