Baby Doc’s Best Friends Say: “Kill the Gays!”

There are two main pillars propping up the Canadian coalition that keeps Justin “Baby Doc” Trudeau sitting in the prime minister’s chair: Muslims and gays. Or, to be more precise, politically active imams and far-left activists for the LGBTQPRWUYX “community”.

The American Center for Democracy has put together a report called “LGBTQ: The Islamic Perspective in Canada”. It’s a compilation of video clips showing what those very same imam pals of Baby Doc’s are saying — in English, mostly — about gays, lesbians, and transgenders. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the progressive Trudeaupian coalition holds together after this video goes viral. One of those two pillars will have to topple. Which one will it be?

A massive brawl broke out between Turks and Kurds at the airport in Hannover, Germany. The Kurds were reportedly angry at the Turks because of yesterday’s Turkish invasion of Kurdish areas of Syria.

In other news, in defiance of a threat by the Spanish authorities that they would have him arrested, the former Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont traveled from Belgium to Denmark, where he is scheduled to host a debate.

The German Desk

If you’ve been keeping up with posts here at Gates of Vienna in recent months, you’ll probably have noticed that our coverage has been weighted heavily towards Germany and Austria.

Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Dresden, Kiel, Kandel, Cottbus, Freiburg, Vienna, Graz, and lots of other places whose names don’t come to the top of my head — that’s what we’ve been covering. Rapes, assaults, murders, rapes, theft, groping, rapes, threats, intimidation, rapes: those are the stories of Modern Multicultural Enrichment that have been emerging from the lands of Goethe and Mozart.

One of the reasons for this Germanocentric coverage has been the Streetlight Syndrome — that is, the light’s better over here.*

We have an abundance of German-speaking translators who are more than willing to provide material about what’s going on in Germany and Austria (and, to a lesser extent, Switzerland). Every day there is another report on some new abomination — rape, beating, stabbing, murder, arson, you name it. As long as someone is willing to do the hard work of translation, Vlad and I are willing to post it. Video can be especially difficult — due to the need to time the translation — but people volunteer to do it. So we post it.

But it’s also because the most important news of our time is coming from Germany. Ever since the “Refugees Welcome” crisis began in late 2015, Germany has been the epicenter of the great shuddering quake that is transforming the Western world into a modern multicultural hellhole.

Actually, Sweden was first through the door — everything that is happening now in Germany has already been road-tested in Sweden. But Germany is so much larger, and has such a greater geopolitical significance, that any account of the Islamization of the West rightfully accords Germany the greater role.

In contrast, Austria seems to have turned away from the German model and towards the Visegrad Four. With the establishment of the ÖVP-FPÖ coalition government in Vienna, Austria has shown the German-speaking world that things can be done differently, if the political will exists (and the voters decide to shift in that direction). It’s doubtful whether Berlin will ever heed the Viennese example, but there it is.

Anyway, that’s the context for all this German-heavy coverage. In a lot of ways, we’ve become the German Desk for the Alternative News Network of the Anglosphere.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our volunteer German translators. And especially to Egri Nök, who has worked tirelessly for more than two years to keep up with all the appalling news from her homeland.

In Austria, Hostility to Israel is the Problem

The following op-ed from Die Presse is an appropriate follow-up to last week’s piece about the FPÖ and the Jews. The author of this essay, also a Jew, draws somewhat different conclusions from those of the previous author. He outlines the current situation for Jews in Austria and Germany, and identifies mass Muslim immigration as the greatest threat to Jews in those countries. He believes the current ÖVP-FPÖ coalition government understands this threat, and should be supported by Austrian Jews.

Hostility to Israel is the Problem

It is cum grano salis[1] that I share the opinions given by Ariel Muzicant In his guest commentary of December 22, 2017 (“No need to fear Kickl or other FPÖ ministers”). All the same, I believe that Jews in Austria need have no worries, no apocalyptic fears or misgivings in regard to the new government.

There are precedents for the coalition entered into by Sebastian Kurz with the FPÖ: The red-blue coalition Sinowatz/Steger and the black/blue government of Schüssel/Riess-Passer. The wave of anti-Semitic incitements and persecution feared by other countries was absent under these coalitions — and the Jews of Austria lived on as customarily.

A Glimpse Into the Past

During the government of Wolfgang Schüssel and Susanne Riess-Passer — after decades of requests from Jewish personalities and organizations — restitution was instituted, which at first was more symbolic, since only fragments of the stolen and “Aryanized” wealth was returned to those affected. I have heard from a well-informed source that, at a meeting of Wolfgang Schüssel, Jörg Haider, Israel Singer und Ariel Muzicant, in Salzkammergut preceding the formation of the government, the basis for restitution to Jewish victims of persecution or their heirs was discussed and agreed upon. No doubt the influence of the US under secretary of state in foreign affairs, Stuart Eizenstat, played a great role.

In his function as president of the Israelite Cultural Community and also as an influential member of the Viennese Jewish community, Muzicant has a pragmatic skepticism toward the FPÖ. He respects the power of factionalism in politics, and therefore, despite his aversion to the FPÖ, will enter into talks with them on important questions. It was Konrad Adenauer who long ago noted: No one can keep me from being smarter today than I was yesterday.

Let us note in this connection that Chancellor Bruno Kreisky[2] once paid the head of the FPÖ at the time — Friedrich Peter — the greatest political respect. Unlike today’s FPÖ politicians, Peter had been repeatedly named as a “participant” in various war crimes trials brought by the German government against members of special units.

Nonetheless, Friedrich Peter was valued as a political partner by Bruno Kreisky, and Kreisky repeatedly defended Peter in the dispute with Simon Wiesenthal.[3] Peter was certified to have made the change to democracy.

An Endemic Sickness

So I see nothing negative in the attempt of the FPÖ under Vice-Chancellor Strache to move closer to Israel. But caution is called for. Muzicant has justifiably pointed out the dangers from, for instance the monthly journal Aula and the brawling fraternal groups, Olympia and Teutonia. Right extremism, anti-Semitism and sympathies for the NS state are justly criticized. Anti-Semitism is a social phenomenon — an endemic sickness. In Austria, even after Auschwitz, it seems to have remained a historic constant — in spite of Auschwitz, or precisely because of it.

Karl Renner, Oskar Helmer and Adolf Scharf were emphatically anti-Semitic. Their convictions led to their writing to surviving Jewish Social Democrats in exile that, in the interests of their party, they should stay away and not return. If Theodore Körner[4] had not advocated for him, Kreisky would likely have stayed in Sweden. Among the green and socialist youth, the Jews murdered by the Nazis are remembered. These sympathies are for dead Jews, but that ends with the living Jews — especially those living in Israel.

The anti-Semitic humor of mocking Jewish names is mean and disgraceful. Incidents like the deriding of the murdered Anne Frank by law students close to the ÖVP[5] should be severely punished. It is especially ominous when these future elites of Austrian jurisprudence are destined to function as judges and states’ attorneys.

Anti-Semitism’s profile has changed now: Jew-hostile manifestations are Israel-connected. Accordingly, I see the chief danger for Jews in the explosive growth of Jew-hatred among European Muslims.

Those Lying “Youths” From Morocco

Border police: nine out of ten Moroccans lie about age — are adults

Significantly more Moroccans were able to be deported from Sweden last year. This, after a new collaboration between Swedish authorities and Morocco on fingerprints, reports Ekot today. According to the border police, 90 percent of Moroccans who said that they are under 18 lied about their age.

Young Moroccans who come to Sweden often lack asylum qualifications, and then choose to devote themselves to crime and drug abuse.

Through a new cooperation between Sweden and Morocco, where fingerprints are used, more people can now be deported back to the Arab country.

In 2016, the number of executions to Morocco was 75, compared to 135 last year.

“We have been given permission to work very well with Moroccan authorities, and have a working routine that we are very pleased with,” says Per Löwenberg, Group Head of the National Border Policy Division, to Ekot.

In cases going through Morocco, 75 percent of people can be identified. This is because Swedish authorities have access to a large database of fingerprints in Morocco. From this it has been concluded that almost all Moroccans have lied about their age.

Among those who say that they are under 18 years of age, the information has been found to be incorrect in 90% of cases, explains Per Löwenberg for Ekot.

And while deportations are increasing, it’s still a very difficult job to implement, the border police point out. Among other reasons, this is because those who are to be deported are living in such problematic situations.

Being an American, I was (gratefully) unaware of this BBC Channel Four news babe. Or journalista, if you prefer. Ignorance of her future work is greatly to be desired since, as is the case for much of the American MSM, she appears to suffer from a terminal case of cognitive dissonance. Combined with her inability to hear or to parse Dr. Peterson’s statements, these deficits should, one thinks, serve her well in her chosen profession (and we all know how old that profession is).

Dr. Peterson evidently appeared on this wymyn’s program in aid of selling his book,

Channel Four is no doubt off somewhere licking its wounds and wondering if they’re mortal afflictions. Those lacerations certainly are as wide as a church door. Well, at the very least, a small country church door.

My acquaintance with Dr Peterson’s work is fairly recent, but I plan to make up for my ignorance with an in-depth study of his writings. I do wish his early research on the sons of alcoholics was more widely available. Yes, the many articles are co-authored with other young scholars, but just based on their breadth, they deserve wider dissemination.

We’ll be posting more of his talks in the future.

Turkish army forces under the command of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan entered Syria to do battle with Kurdish militias. Turkish troops are being assisted by the Free Syrian Army and other Syrian freedom fighters.

In other news, two pipe bombs exploded and caused a fire in a mall in Florida, and more explosives were found nearby. Nobody was injured. A manhunt is underway for a suspect described as a heavyset white male.

Right-Wing Extremist Violence! The AfD Made Me Drop My iPhone!

German MSM journalists must be SJWs of the first order. They get appalled and astounded when anti-immigration demonstrators — gasp! — call them names.

Background: In the city of Cottbus, more than 1,500 people demonstrated yesterday against the rising crime rate and the violent behavior of asylum seekers in the city. German State TV turned the coverage into a right-wing witch-hunt against the AfD (Alternative für Deutschland, Alternative for Germany) — which is described as an extreme right-wing group by the usual TV “expert on right-wing activism”.

Egri Nök sends this summary of the coverage of the Cottbus demo:

After two stabbing attacks by Syrian refugees in the town of Cottbus, thousands of people took to the streets in protest. The city announced that they won’t take in any more refugees for the time being.

From the start, the state broadcaster RBB commented on these events rather unfavorably, portraying Cottbus as a city of xenophobes and right-extremists.

The young RBB reporter in this feature, who was at the protest, stammers in disbelief. They criticized him! He was even insulted!

The “attacks” on journalists that he mentions are that two journalists got shoved, so that one of them dropped his iPhone.

No More Multiculture in Cottbus!

Cottbus: As Germans Take to the Streets to Protest Migrant Violence, City Leaders Announce They Won’t Take in Any More “Refugees”

Cottbus: two knife-attacks by Syrian “youths” started a series of events in the city in former East Germany that would have been unthinkable in the west.

Earlier this afternoon [Saturday January 20], between 1,500 and 2,000 citizens took to the streets to protest migrant violence:

The city decided that they won’t take in any new refugees anymore for the time being, and the interior minister of Brandenburg expressed a warning to Berlin: federal politicians should think through “family reunification” better.

Two Syrians delivered a letter to the mayor of Cottbus in which they apologized for the behavior of their compatriots, said that this sort of behavior was not acceptable in Syria, either; and asked Syrian refugees to behave:

Dear Syrians, dear refugees, we are guests here, we must accept the rules, and be respectful. Germany took us in while our neighbor countries closed their doors. Here, we get everything we need for a new life. Please don’t forget that and behave!

The two recent knife attacks (see Syrian “Youths” Attack Couple, When Wife Refuses to “Show Respect” and Another Day, Another Knife Attack at Cottbus Shopping Center) weren’t the only incidents involving Syrian refugees. A speaker at the protest, Birgit Bessin of the AfD, mentioned two other attacks and the murder of a 82-year-old pensioner.

There was no leftist counter-protest, and the local newspaper, Lausitzer Rundschau, reported objectively.

Preface: “Concerned Citizen”, besorgter Bürger, is a recent, sarcastic pejorative for people who criticize the government’s “refugee” policies, implying that only losers would be concerned. Example: “I wonder if Germany can handle that many migrants” — “Haha, look at this concerned citizen!”

I am one of them. A concerned citizen. Now go ahead, ridicule me.

I have a 19-year-old daughter. She is, in my opinion, a pretty and ambitious girl, funny and sensitive. Back then, 36 months ago, I did not care if she went to town or to a club, on her own or with a friend. I thought it was cool when she and her girlfriends took the train to visit other major German towns, maybe party. She is young, full of life, it is her bloody right to explore the world.

These times are over. I am worried. I have lost faith in the state protecting her and her girlfriends when I’m not there. I lost trust that the people she will meet will respect her dignity and her integrity. I am worried for her. I don’t want to constrain her, but I lose sleep when she’s not home. We did not read for her at bedtime, and we did not do math homework with her, so that some a**hole from some weird country gropes her because, in his eyes, she is an “unbeliever slut” and “worthless”. And I don’t trust that anyone will help her if she is in duress. After all, she is “only” a “German”.

I am aware that there are also filthy pigs among those “who have been living here for a bit longer” [Merkel’s recent expression to avoid the word “Germans”], who can’t keep their hands off others, but in my opinion, this is not an argument to invite people in, sort of as a “compensation”, who have a — let’s say “conservative” — view of women, and where our state isn’t even interested in who they are, how old they are, and what they are up to.

I am sorry that she can’t grow up in the same free country that I grew up in. I am sorry that she can’t go to a swimming pool without taking care, without constantly being on the lookout for whether trouble is imminent, and without keeping “an arm’s length distance”. As if anyone whose entrance ticket I subsidize with my tax money would care. Thank you to those who opened the floodgates without examining who is coming in. I imagine that neither I, nor my children deserved this.

Perfect target for “the new arrivals”

My son was beaten up by Russians. Just because. Because they could. He did not fight back, to prevent worse. He was right. There is no point in resisting. Our children were not raised in, and for, violence. This makes them, when the state fails, perfect targets for the “new arrivals”. The “integration industry”, which battens itself at the public trough, does not even watch in indifference. They watch as appeasers, insulting and downplaying, spitting on the victims of the collateral damage of their protégés who allegedly “seek refuge”.
