Russia Floods Africa With Free Grain

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from the Eurobrics news portal:

Despite sanctions: Russia delivers free grain to Africa

Despite the harsh sanctions policy of the collective West, Russia is recording consistently positive or even record results in most of its economic sectors. In the agricultural and food sector, for example, Moscow achieved a historic high last year — a total harvest of almost 160 million tons of grain.

As a result, Russian exports also increased significantly: in the 2022/23 agricultural year, Russian grain deliveries abroad totaled around 60 million tons. The export of wheat, flour and wheat products is expected to amount to 45 million tonnes, which corresponds to a global market share of around 20%.

This means that the turnover of the Russian agricultural sector is also increasing. According to the TASS news agency, which refers to preliminary information from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Russia was able to increase its income from agricultural exports by 12% to a record US$41.5 billion in the summer compared to 2021. The Ministry of Agriculture officially expects an increase to US$45 billion.

For Russia, this recovery is essentially vital after the catastrophic decline of its entire agricultural sector in the 1990s and the associated food supply crises. In this respect, the decision in Russia was correct to even manifest the guarantee of food self-sufficiency as part of the national doctrine on food security in 2010.

Thanks to billions of euros in subsidies or support programs that have since flowed to agricultural producers, a 90% self-sufficiency level for the most important staple foods in the country, as defined by the doctrine, has been guaranteed for several years, so that the Russian government is now focusing on an agricultural policy set on Export.

Free grain for African crisis countries

Countries in Africa and Asia that repeatedly struggle with food crises will benefit from this. In this regard, at the Russia-Africa Summit last July, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his intention to provide free grain as humanitarian aid to six African countries on the World Food Program list. These crisis states are Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Mali, Zimbabwe, Somalia and the Central African Republic, which were originally supposed to receive up to 50,000 tons of grain from Russia. The scope of this aid has now been increased by the Russian Foreign Ministry to 200,000 tons of wheat.

The move came after Moscow previously refused to extend the grain agreement with Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations Organization. This deal was intended to enable exports of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizer from Ukrainian Black Sea ports along a secure maritime corridor to countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. In addition, the contract should, among other things, lift those Western sanctions that are directed against the Russian agricultural sector. This included, for example, lifting the ban on grain and fertilizer exports, lifting certain sanctions in the banking sector or on the import of agricultural machinery.

Despite the fact that Western sanctions — which curb Russian agricultural exports — remain in place, Russia is already implementing its agricultural aid promise, sending the first Russian ship with free grain to Africa in November. As Russian media recently reported, citing the Somali national news agency SONNA, a ship carrying 25,000 tons of free wheat from Russia arrived in Somalia last week.

“Somalia has received an urgently needed aid shipment of 25,000 tons of wheat from Russia to combat the consequences of floods in the country. The aid shipment, which arrived in Mogadishu on Thursday, was handed over to the Somali Disaster Management Authority (SoDMA),” it said.

Russia Cracks Down on Sexual Perversion

The various “Pride” organizations are bankrolled largely by organizations associated with George Soros. Back when Serbia was first put forward as a potential member of the EU, one of the steps that it was instructed to take was to hold a Pride parade in Belgrade. When the Serbian government balked at the suggestion, the bien-pensants of the West were horrified.

If you step back and look at the larger picture, it’s clear that LGBTQ, mass immigration, Satanism, etc. are simply being used as lytic agents to break down traditional Western culture and soften it up for globalist one-world governance.

It’s also clear that Russia is having none of this nonsense.

Russia classifies LGBTQ+ as extremist

The Supreme Court of Russia has classified the LGBTQ+ community as “extremist.”

Thursday’s decision followed a request from the Russian Ministry of Justice and now officially bans the activities of the international LGBT movement in Russia.

The court’s ruling raises many questions. In particular, it is unclear who exactly falls under the “LGBT movement” definition, as the judges did not provide any specific information. This lack of clarity leaves the actual impact of the ruling in the dark for the time being.

The accusation: incitement to social and religious hatred

The “LGBT movement” is accused of inciting social and religious hatred. The propagation of LGBT ideas was declared illegal years ago.

The use of LGBT symbols in public spaces can now be classified as a “public display of attributes or symbols of an extremist organization.” This is punishable with a fine of up to 2,000 rubles (approximately €20) or a prison sentence of up to 15 days — for civil servants, a fine of up to 4,000 rubles (€40) or 50,000 rubles (€500).

According to the court ruling, funding of organizations that promote LGBT rights can be classified as financing extremist activities. Citizens can be fined between 300,000 (€3,000) and 700,000 rubles (€7,000) or punished with forced labor of between one and four years, or up to eight years in a penal colony.

LGBTQI+ is an abbreviation that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex; the plus sign includes other sexual orientations and gender identities. The term represents a community of people who do not wish to identify exclusively with traditional gender identities or heterosexual norms.

The list of organizations classified as “extremist” in Russia includes right-wing extremist, separatist and Islamist militant movements.

Brown Border

After a long hiatus, Max Denken returns with a film review that is much more than a review: he has a family connection with the area of Poland that abuts the border with Belarus and is featured in the movie.

Brown Border

by Max Denken

The movie

Tired and jet-lagged upon arrival in Warsaw, I bide the daytime hours. A walking distance from my hotel, a movie theater is playing Green Border, the new film by Polish émigré film director Agnieszka Holland.

America’s most prominent film school and a stab at a Hollywood career are as long behind me as are Holland’s days at the FAMU film school in Prague. I once introduced to a Los Angeles audience Krzysztof Zanussi, the Polish film director with whom, as his assistant director, Holland began her career, but my paths never crossed hers nor did my interests in film or life run parallel. Still, I loved her children’s film The Secret Garden (1993) and, as an animal lover, could identify with her revulsion at a driven hunt’s wholesale slaughter of wildlife in Spoor (2017). I drag myself out of the hotel and go to see Green Border, Holland’s film that had just had its premiere screening at the 80th Venice Film Festival in September, 2023.

What I proceed to endure for two and a half interminable hours is an agitprop salad similar in intent but far below the artistic level of such famous purveyors of film propaganda as Sergei Eisenstein for the Bolsheviks and Leni Riefenstahl for Hitler. There is no story with real human characters in the traditional narrative sense but a weepy outburst about numinous Syrian, Afghan, and African refugees trying to invade Poland’s via its border from Belarus and being brutally repulsed.

The New York Film Festival synopsized the film as, “A Syrian family leaves the violence of their country behind, hoping to cross from Belarus into Poland and then onto the safe haven of Sweden. But, like so many lost souls, they end up caught in a political maelstrom, demonized by the Polish government and press and used as pawns in an inhumane, deadly border game.”

The reality background to Holland’s invention is that in July, 2021, Alexandr Lukashenko, the dictator leader of Belarus, threatened to “flood” the European Union with drugs and migrants and proceeded with this scheme of hybrid warfare. Belarussian agencies in tandem with some Middle Eastern airlines fraudulently promoted easy entry into the EU’s territory and arranged for the delivery of migrants to the Polish-Belarus border. It was an inhumane, cynical ploy probably ordered by Lukashenko’s ally in the Kremlin to either force a stream of undesirables onto Russia’s foe, Poland, or to make Poland look bad if it refused to grant them passage.

A flood of Iraqis, Syrians, Afghans, Congolese, Cameroonians, and Sudanese followed to the forested border. By November 2021, Poland’s border guard had intercepted over 32,000 migrants’ attempts to invade Poland. Having defied the EU’s order to take in a share of Angela Merkel’s invitees since 2015, Poland’s PiS government, to its credit, was not going to yield to this Putin/Lukashenko ploy, either.

And that evidently unleashed in Ms. Holland — daughter of a Polish-Jewish high communist official and notorious European “progressive” — her own flood: that of the maternal bonding female hormone oxytocin. The same one that a group of German — what else — scientists stated in their 2017 paper “Oxytocin-enforced norm compliance reduces xenophobic outgroup rejection “ would reduce “xenophobic outgroup rejection” if administered to all those racist white people who don’t want half a billion African and Middle Eastern Muslim refugees in Europe and North America.

Holland’s migrants are “refugees” and “people like us” — middle class in their countries, handy with English and cellphones, and with means sufficient to have paid the stiff costs of this passage. In reality, they are not like us.

Holland’s Syrian “refugees” are not the stabbers of children in a playground in Annecy or hateful attackers of Jews in Vienna. They are not the Syrian refugees who just in 12 months of 2016/2017, set a homeless man on fire on Christmas in Berlin or, screaming “Allahu Akbar,” attacked and injured four people at a bus station in Lünen. They are not the Syrian refugee who murdered a pregnant woman with a machete and wounded two others at a bus station in Reutlingen.

They are not the Syrian “asylum seeker” who raped a 44-year-old mentally disabled woman in Soest. They are not the 27-year-old Syrian who stabbed and killed a Red Cross mental health counselor in Saarbrücken, or the one who tried to behead 64-year-old Ilona Fugmann who had offered him a job at her beauty salon in Herzberg.

They are not the Syrian “asylum seekers” who were filming and molesting underage girls at a swimming pool in Löbau or the ones who did so in Mariendorf, or the one who sexually assaulted a ten-year-old girl in Tübingen.

Holland’s Syrians are not the “migrant” who went on a “stabbing-spree” on board a train in Bavaria, or the one who attacked passengers on a bus from Berlin to Milan. They are not the “asylum seeker” who blew himself up next to a wine bar in Ansbach and wounded 15 people, or the one in Pittsburgh, who sought to blow up a church for Isis. Nor are they like Abdalfatah who sought refuge in Germany after murdering 36 people in Syria for the Jabhat al-Nusra jihadist group.

No, they are just a cute family with a genial grandpa, a well-married couple, and their nice boy, little girl, and a baby. Not even a Syrian “refugee” family where the father murders his wife because she irritated him, or murders his wife and two daughters and leaves them dead in a freezer.

Holland’s Afghan refugees in the film consist of one English-speaking, kind woman who “helped the Americans” during the Afghanistan war. In reality, Afghan rapefugees sow terror in the heart of Europe’s women. They rape and murder. Again and again, everywhere in Europe, solo and in groups, boasting of it on Facebook, the victim alternately an adult, girl, or boy.

Holland’s sole Afghan is not the 19-year-old Afghan “asylum seeker” who stabbed three people in Ravensburg, or the 41-year-old who murdered a five-year-old Russian boy and severely wounded his mother in Arnschwang, or the one whose sexual intercourse with a woman in Limerick included stabbing her to death in a “frenzied attack “. Nor is she portraying the Afghan migrant who murdered two people in Serbia and then one in Britain, or the one who stabbed seven people in Sweden. Just a kind, educated, Afghan woman mistreated by Polish goons-in-uniform.

Holland’s Africans are not the testosterone-filled, young primitives landing on Europe’s shores by the hundreds of thousands and terrorizing the local population, roasting cats, brandishing their penises or defecating in public, brawling and destroying property incessantly and everywhere. One ought to check out the @RadioGenoa account on X to see much evidence of what they are about. But for Holland they are just a couple of nice, well-behaved teens.

The border has a barbed wire fence. Those nice Syrians, Africans, and one nice lady from Afghanistan are trying repeatedly to breach that fence and each time are repulsed by pitiless, all-black (in character) goons serving as Poland’s Border Patrol. When on the staging side of the barbed wire fence, they are exploited and humiliated by even worse Belarussian goons-in-uniform, and then pushed through that fence into a country whose Border Patrol pushes them back.

They are hungry, thirsty, cold. Some are sick. But then, before Western progressives decided that reality is optional, the law of the Universe has always been that one suffers the consequences of one’s mistakes. Few mistakes can be as bad as to have traveled from faraway Asia and Africa to the Polish border in the belief that it will give way.

Eventually, some manage to get through the fence and, after more harrowing adventures like drowning in a swamp, are aided by a group of young Polish radicals, given food, medical treatment, and shelter and transportation deeper into Poland in the approving glow of the demiurge of this moral fantasy: Agnieszka Holland.

Holland portrays the enforcers of Poland’s territorial sovereignty as primitive cartoon villains, pitiless at the bottom, and fascist at the top. The bottom is the Polish Border Patrol that has no pity even for pregnant women. They toss one over the fence back onto Belarus soil and manhandle many others. Their officer shouts that the pitiful group of migrants mired between the barbed wire and the swamp are “not people” but bullets fired into the heart of Poland.

The only border guard portrayed with sympathetic shading is Jan, whose wife is pregnant and disapproving of his “brutal” occupation. Jan initially participates in the pushback actions but is gradually sickened by the required violence and softens to the point of pretending not to see “migrants” transported into Poland’s interior by another kind Pole.

At the top are the “fascists” — Poland’s slightly right-of-center PiS ruling party that has given the finger to the European Union’s demands for absorbing a “fair share” of the kind of “refugees” that Angela Merkel and the EU were importing by the millions before Lukashenko decided to give them more of their medicine.

Holland, along with most of Poland’s cultural elite, is an outspoken, leftist enemy of PiS — the party that has said No to invaders from alien cultures. She has gone so far into the swamp of “progressive” hysteria that one of her two more developed “good-guy” characters, Bogdan, tells his therapist that he cannot stand the “Nazis” marching in Warsaw under the protection of the “fascist” government — a lie so grotesque as to indicate the warped furniture in Ms. Holland’s brain. Bogdan confesses as well that because of those Polish “Nazis” and fascists he is impotent, cannot sleep, eat, or think.

Vitality returns to Bogdan’s so-dreary life with a loving family in a luxurious villa near Warsaw when he too engages in the “activist” effort. He and his wife and children host three young North-African migrants just smuggled in from the border, invite them to their dinner table, and so on. In a scene characteristic of the twisted minds of Holland and white progressives everywhere, Bogdan’s sons bond with the Africans by joining them in a French rap.

For the white rich kids, knowing French is normal. But what’s more telling is that they, Poles far removed from Africa, have adopted the black culture and they rap in French as expertly as their African guests do. In Poland.

It would never have occurred to Holland to write the scene in the opposite way, with the African guests making an effort to adapt to the culture of their hosts and singing with them a Polish song with the harmonies that are Europe’s culture heritage.

Julia is the other more developed “good guy” character. She is Bogdan’s psychologist and Zoom interlocutor. Moved by the plight of the migrants in the forest near her home, Julia turns from a bystander to a committed rescuer working with the younger activists to smuggle as many migrants into Poland as possible. Maja Ostaszewska, who plays Julia, is a well-known “progressive” and major pro-migrants activist in Poland.

The rest of the positive characters are the bleeding-heart Polish volunteers who help the migrant invaders and made it past the border fence. They are all unalloyed cartoon goodness just as the border guards and policemen who are the barrier against the invaders are the unalloyed evil.

I have written a book and several articles about the horrors that refugees, “refugees,” and migrants from Asian Muslim countries and Africa inflict on Europe. I saw this film while a true African invasion was landing on the beaches of Lampedusa. I am writing this in November, when that invasion is continuing while huge crowds of Muslim imports are marching and rioting all over Europe and the entire Anglosphere, waving black jihad flags, shouting “Death to the Jews,” and generally behaving in ways not seen since the Kristallnacht. I am appalled at Holland’s specious propaganda masquerading as a film drama, her smearing of the one, rare state sane enough to have resisted to rush to self-obliteration, her libelous depiction of the Polish Border Patrol.

I am therefore renaming Green Border as Brown Border. The brown adjective comes from my long-ago Hollywood mentor, an Irish curmudgeon who had elbowed his way to a position of influence in that Jewish-founded-and-dominated industry. Art had long-ago mastered Yiddish, so he taught me some. When it came to a lousy film, hackneyed book, or a revolting painting, he invariably called it dreck. When it came to a lousy human being, he reverted to his native Irish brogue: shite.

Whether dreck or shite, it’s the same color. Green Border is not a work of art but a lying, hysterical outpouring of agitprop by a female raised in a privileged communist home, favoring her ideology over reality, and attacking a polity that, since 1989, no longer adheres to diktats of the Comintern. It’s par for the course that the World Socialist Website attacked Holland’s detractors in a headline reading “The Polish far-right’s vicious campaign against Agnieszka Holland’s film ‘The Green Border’ replete with ‘ antisemitic and fascistic undertones against the film’.”

The reality

Something needs to be said about those “bullets into the heart of Poland” — words that Holland put in the mouth of the Border Guard’s commander, no doubt to imply that he is the epitome of evil. In reality, those words are appropriate and would have been even if the border-busting migrants consisted mostly of women, children and kind men — which they didn’t.

A still frame from Zielona Granica (Green Border) shown on the web page of the 2023 Venezia Biennale film festival.

The Poland-Belarus border, with the actual menacing migrants trying to force it.

One now has ample opportunities to see what happens to countries that had a more tenderhearted approach to Muslim refugees and “refugees.” Here is Berlin and here is London. Or New York, or Dearborn, or a hundred other cities in the pathologically altruist West. A European or Europeans-founded country signs its death warrant even if taking in African and Asian Muslim women and children, let along young, military-age men who are the great majority of the invaders.

Putin Punishes Russia’s Key Ally

While the world’s attention has been focused on Ukraine and Gaza, the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has gone largely unremarked by the international press. Just a few weeks before Hamas launched its attack on Israel, Azerbaijan brutally attacked the Armenian enclave of Artsakh, subjecting it to the same sort of bestial atrocities that have gained international opprobrium when committed by Hamas. The plight of Armenians in Artsakh — who have a legitimate and ancient claim to the territory, unlike the “Palestinians” of Gaza — has gone largely unnoticed.

To help make up the deficit, David Boyajian sends this report.

Putin Punishes Russia’s Key Ally

by David Boyajian

Oddly, few Western writers on the South Caucasus have ever grasped Christian Armenia’s significance as Russia’s only ally and military outpost among the region’s three countries.

Simply put: Were Russia to lose Armenia, the U.S./NATO/EU and pan-Turkism would inevitably dominate the Caucasus/Caspian and, perhaps, beyond. Putin understands this.

Georgia and Azerbaijan are, after all, headed away from Russia.

Though always under Russian pressure, Georgia is an unofficial NATO candidate with sizeable Western investments. NATO countries and Israel have been modernizing its military. Tbilisi is also the middleman for Baku’s gas/oil pipelines extending to Turkey and elsewhere.

Azerbaijan’s fossil fuel deposits, pipelines, and U.S./European commercial/economic ties are well-known.

Less talked about are the Aliyev autocracy’s pan-Turkic ideology; formal alliance with NATO’s Turkey; deployment of international terrorists; dependence on Israeli weapons / military prowess; and longtime backing by America’s Jewish lobby.

Elected ostensibly as a democratic reformist in 2018, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan grew friendlier with the West than had Yerevan’s previous leaders.

This enraged Putin. That is problematic: Armenia is dependent on its ally for gas, oil, the nuclear power plant, weapons, remittances from Armenians in Russia, and more. However, Pashinyan didn’t break with Moscow.

Nevertheless, Putin resolved to punish and humiliate Armenia to force it totally and irrevocably under Russian domination.

Punish and Humiliate

In 2020, Putin silently but indisputably greenlighted Azerbaijan, Turkey, international terrorists, and Israel to sledgehammer Christian Armenia and Armenian-populated Artsakh/Karabagh into submitting to Russia.

We know that near its borders Russia is extremely NATO-and-terrorist-phobic.

And yet:

In Azerbaijan’s 44-day war in 2020 (Sept. 27-Nov. 9) against Artsakh’s Armenians, Turkey openly delivered American-supplied F-16s, Bayraktar drones containing NATO parts, additional weapons, generals, troops, and several thousand jihadist terrorists to Azerbaijan.

Tellingly, the Kremlin was unruffled.

Moreover, Tel Aviv — the West’s friend, not Moscow’s — overtly resupplied Baku with hi-tech weapons.

The Kremlin, again, voiced no particular alarm.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Who’s the Dumbest of Them All?

Annalena Baerbock, the politician for the Greens who is currently serving as the foreign minister for the Best Germany of All Time, is widely thought to be, shall we say, intellectually challenged. If so, that may explain why Ms. Baerbock thought it was a good idea to promise the president of Ukraine that his country would be admitted to the EU — in the process bypassing the European Commission and all the other Brussels functionaries who supposedly are in charge of making such decisions.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from eXXpress:

Arbitrary: Baerbock is said to have assured Ukraine that it would join the EU

Unless it is a misunderstanding concerning German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (42), who is not always very linguistically fluent, the Green chief diplomat is said to have single-handedly assured her Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba that Ukraine would join the EU.

Germany’s top diplomats now seem to be in a hurry to get to Ukraine. It was only on Saturday that EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made a surprise secret visit to Kiev to shower roses on the Ukrainians in their efforts to quickly join the EU. The candidate for membership is already incredibly far ahead, much further than was thought possible due to the war. The signal is clear: Ukraine should be quickly admitted to the community of states by 2030.

This accords with what Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told Die Welt: “I have no doubt that Ukraine will be part of the European Union,” he said. And: He received “this assurance” from Annalena Baerbock.

Are there already accession negotiations?

This is now outside the German Foreign Minister’s area of responsibility and is causing diplomatic irritation, but the timetable for Ukraine’s rapid accession seems to have been decided long ago, and the start of accession negotiations is now only a short-term question.

Ukraine applied for membership in the European Union a few days after the start of the Russian war of aggression on February 24, 2022. It received EU candidate status as early as June 2022. This step had, above all, a symbolic effect. The more important hurdle is the start of accession negotiations.

Biological Espionage

Below is a Russian take on what’s happening on the biological warfare front in the Middle East and Ukraine.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Uncut News:

The Pentagon is conducting biological espionage in Iraq and Afghanistan and Ukraine is preparing an attack with biological weapons

Via Russian Ministry of Defense

Chief of the Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov:

“It has already been repeatedly pointed out that one of the tasks of the Pentagon is the so-called ‘biological espionage’, that is, the analysis of the epidemic situation along the borders of geopolitical opponents and in the expected regions of the deployment of military contingents.

“The Russian side has data confirming that the Pentagon has set tasks for monitoring the biological situation in the areas of Iraq and Afghanistan bordering China, Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

“The documents emphasize the need to place employees of Pentagon contractors in senior positions, and field work should be assigned to those local specialists capable of working with relevant ministries. At the same time, it is recommended that evidence pointing to the contractor be minimized by only making brief trips from the Dubai office to Afghanistan and Iraq when necessary.

“To avoid accusations against the Pentagon, some projects were carried out under the guise of the US State Department. We would like to draw your attention to the research program of the US State Department in Afghanistan: it included the study of the causative agents of particularly dangerous and economically important diseases, that is, tularemia, anthrax, foot and mouth disease, the collection of biological samples on the territory of the country and their transportation in the United States.”

SBU and the national police of Ukraine are preparing a biological weapons provocation to blame Russia for

Chief of the Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov:

“In 2023, the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU), which is the main intermediary distributing Pentagon grants, will resume operations in Kyiv. With funding from the US Agency for International Development and brokerage by STCU, biological threat response training was conducted at the Danila Halytsky University of National Medicine Lviv from August to September 2023.

“According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the training was attended by representatives of Ukrainian state authorities, including the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police, as well as employees of Western non-profit organizations.

“It is worth noting that the bird flu virus is currently considered the most intensively studied microorganism in high-security laboratories. It remains the focus of intense media attention, has the potential for species transition, and is highly lethal to humans. It is no coincidence that the use of this particular pathogenic biological agent was included in the training scenario.

Military Hardware News From Gaza

The website Defence Blog has some interesting posts on the war in Gaza. As far as I can determine, the site is run by a Ukrainian defense analyst, but it doesn’t appear to be primarily a propaganda organ for Ukraine.

It reports that Hamas launched kamikaze drones against Israel:

Palestinian militant group Hamas has released a short video of an improvised attack drone, also known as a kamikaze drone, launched during a Saturday morning surprise attack on Israel.

The 22-second-long video posted on Sunday by the militant group to social media shows several launch sites of improvised kamikaze drones hiding in the resident building and storage facilities.

The Izzedine al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, claimed on Sunday that they launched more than 25 kamikaze drones, including Al-Zawari wing-type, that destroyed Israeli targets, including vehicles and equipment.

I’d never heard of Al-Zawari kamikaze drones until I read the above report. The videos mentioned seem to be mostly on Twitter, but I found this one on YouTube:

See the original post for the Twitter links.

The same site has this report on high-tech Israeli tanks that have been captured by Hamas:

Tajik-Ukrainian “Refugees” on Trial in the Netherlands

Mujahideen (actually, a mujahid and a mujahidette) for the dreaded ISIS-K are on trial in the Netherlands. As it happens, they came to the country as Ukrainian “refugees” from Tajikistan.

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from Algemeen Dagblad:

Public Prosecutor: “Tajik was no refugee from Ukraine, but determined to commit an attack in Netherlands or Germany”

There was not yet a date or target, but Abdulsamal A., (29) from Tajikistan was “determined to commit an attack in the Netherlands or Germany. He posed as a refugee from Ukraine but in reality was head of a secret cell of the ISIS terror group,” according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

by Cyril Rosman
September 26, 2023

Abdusamal himself said on Tuesday, at an interim hearing in the case at the court in Rotterdam that there was little truth to this. The man — slender, muscular, and with a thick, black beard — laid his head down on his arms in anger. His wife and co-suspect asked the court if she “could please go home to her children.”

The story of the Tajik, Abdusamal, and his 31-year-old wife, Gulzira M., is unusual. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, A. initially went from Turkey to Syria to join ISIS, but that failed. The Turks deported him to Ukraine, after which he came from Kiev to the Netherlands together with his wife after the outbreak of the war there. Here he posed as a member of a Tajiki resistance group, was granted asylum in 2022, and moved into housing in Breda.

Report from secret service

In March of this year, the secret service, AIVD, sent a report to the police that A. was looking for money to buy weapons. Small pistols for a group of “brothers” in Germany who would reportedly use them to commit an “attack for Allah”. The police sent in an infiltrator and eavesdropped on him. On July 6, he and his wife were arrested. In Germany, at the same time, seven men from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan were arrested. They also “fled” from Ukraine and traveled to Germany.

According to the prosecution, A. was the head of a secret cell in Kiev of the ISKP, the Asian branch of the ISIS terror group. His task was reportedly to plan an attack in Europe. What is striking about this claim: part of it is based on information in 2019 from the Russian intelligence service, FSB. The same FSB that the Dutch security services have been at odds with in recent years. Nevertheless, the Prosecutor’s Office maintains that A. and the German-based suspects “were determined to commit an attack in the Netherlands or Germany.” As far as is known, there was as yet no date or target.

Telegram group “Martyrs of Islam”

A’s wife, Gulzira, is also reportedly a radical and helped the men. She was on the message service Telegram as “Martyrs for Islam” and had a document on her phone explaining how to cause explosions.

The suspects arrested in Germany are all still in custody. According to the German Bild newspaper, the Tajiks reportedly claimed to be war refugees from Ukraine, for which they used forged documents. One of the suspects was being housed in a refugee center.

The terror cell reportedly was in contact with the so-called Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP). This branch of ISIS is active in South and Central Asia, mainly in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The German (based) suspects had explored potential sites for an attack and were in possession of weapons, German prosecutors say. Most of them also collected money for the ISKP.

The Nord Stream Gambit

Who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines?

Western governments and media outlets want us to believe that the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines was a false-flag operation perpetrated by the Russian government. However, according to an investigation by German intelligence services, it is almost certain that Russia did not sabotage Nord Stream.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from n-tv. The translator’s comments are in square brackets:

No “false flag” operation

Report: Nord Stream saboteurs fled to Ukraine

In the dispute over Russian gas supplies, many believe the Kremlin to be the mastermind behind the attack on the Nord Stream pipeline. Several secret services are investigating the case. Now investigators can largely rule out Russian involvement.

In September 2022, unknown persons carried out an attack on the Nord Stream pipeline. The West and Russia blame each other for the damage caused by the blast. According to research by Der Spiegel and ZDF, the saboteurs reportedly fled to Ukraine after the crime.

According to the report, experts from the Federal Criminal Police Office and the Federal Police come to the conclusion through a data analysis of IP addresses, among other things, that the suspects were in Ukraine before and after the act of sabotage and communicated from there. According to security circles, the picture that this evaluation produced is fairly clear.

In general, investigators and agents now suspect that a Ukrainian commando was responsible for the unprecedented attack on the German energy infrastructure. One knows far more than is publicly acknowledged, a top official tells the magazine. There are no indications of a “false flag” operation by Moscow, in which the Russians triggered the explosions and deliberately created the wrong trail leading to Ukraine.

Months before the attack, Dutch military intelligence and the CIA had warned of a Ukrainian sabotage commando and precisely this scenario. In Berlin, the warnings were considered irrelevant after the originally assumed time for an attack had passed. [If this is true, why do they still flood Zelensky and cohorts with billions of tax-money and weapons?]

Commando considered attack on Turkstream

The Attorney General is still investigating unknown persons for “causing an explosion and anti-constitutional sabotage”. The authority does not want to comment on the ongoing process.

In addition to blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines in Ukraine, an attack on the Turkstream gas pipeline in the Black Sea was apparently also planned. Russian gas flows through them to Turkey. Such a warning was also forwarded to the Federal Intelligence Service. It is unclear why the attack plans against Turkstream, unlike the attacks in the Baltic Sea, were not carried out. [Well, I guess that Turks aren’t as gullible or ideologically challenged as their German counterparts.]

Contempt for the Governed

In the following video, Colonel Douglas Macgregor (U.S. Army, retired) talks to Tucker Carlson about the war between Russia and Ukraine, and especially about the insane and/or foolhardy policies of the U.S. government concerning that conflict.

At this point it is clear that the endgame in Ukraine is rapidly approaching. Now we must wait to find out whether the country will simply be obliterated and occupied, or whether NATO (i.e. the United States) will intervene and engage in direct combat with the Russian armed forces.

In any case, the American people have no say about what will happen. After our government throws even more hundreds of billions of dollars down the Ukrainian rat hole, will it chuck in a few hundred thousand of our boys after it? You can vote as hard as you like, but both parties are in agreement on these matters, and the decision will be taken without you.

A perilous time lies ahead.

What Would Happen If Stupidity Prevails in the West?

In the following video discussion, Judge Napolitano and Col. Douglas Macgregor talk about the situation in Eastern Europe, which is extremely volatile due to Russia’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine. Ukraine is basically on life support now, yet the general perception in the West is that Russia is weak, and in the process of losing the war. Polish troops have reportedly been stationed near the border with Belarus, and the possibility of a direct conflict between Russia and NATO (and therefore the United States) has never seemed closer.

Judge Napolitano asks Col. Macgregor an important question: “What would happen if stupidity prevails in the West?” Col. Macgregor’s extended answer is worth listening to:

Mischief in the Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian navy is up to its old tricks, interfering with commercial maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. Its vessels attempted to seize two oil tankers, and the U.S. military is offering to put guards on commercial vessels.

Below are two recent articles about the situation there this week. The first article is from Arab News:

Iran tried to seize 2 oil tankers near Strait of Hormuz and fired shots at one of them, US Navy says

DUBAI: Iran tried to seize two oil tankers near the strategic Strait of Hormuz early Wednesday, firing shots at one of them, the US Navy said.

It said that in both cases, the Iranian naval vessels backed off after the US Navy responded, and that both commercial ships continued their voyages.

“The Iranian navy did make attempts to seize commercial tankers lawfully transiting international waters,” said Cmdr. Tim Hawkins, spokesman for the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet. “The US Navy responded immediately and prevented those seizures.”

He said the gunfire directed at the second vessel did not cause casualties or major damage.

There was no immediate Iranian comment on the incidents.

Ambrey, a maritime intelligence service, said the tanker that was fired upon was a Bahamas-flagged, Greek-owned, US managed crude oil tanker transiting from the United Arab Emirates to Singapore. It said the firing of shots happened 28 nautical miles northeast of Muscat, the capital of Oman.

The US Navy says Iran has seized at least five commercial vessels in the last two years and has harassed several others. Many of the incidents have occurred in and around the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Arabian Gulf through which 20 percent of all crude oil passes.

The second report is from Reuters:

Iran boosts navy with missiles, drones as US offers guards for Gulf ships

DUBAI, Aug 5 (Reuters) — Iran has equipped its Revolutionary Guards’ navy with drones and 1,000-km (600-mile) range missiles, Iranian news agencies reported on Saturday, as the U.S. offers to put guards on commercial ships going through the Gulf’s Strait of Hormuz.

Referring to the possible presence of U.S. guards, Iranian armed forces spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said the region’s countries were “capable of ensuring Persian Gulf security” themselves.

“What do the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean have to do with America? What is your business being here?” Shekarchi was quoted as saying by the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

Don’t Romanticize Volodomyr Zelensky

Karl-Olov Arnstberg is a Swedish writer, ethnologist, and retired university professor. His essays are posted at his blog, Invandring och mörkläggning. Below is today’s installment of his “Sunday Chronicle”. Many thanks to our Swedish correspondent LN for the translation:

Sunday chronicle: Don’t romanticize Volodomyr Zelensky!

July 16, 2023

Swedish Wikipedia has a long and excellent factual article on Zelensky. There you learn, among other things, that he was born in 1978 as the only child of Ashkenazi Jewish parents in the then “Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic”. His father is a university professor and computer engineer. His mother is also an engineer. For twenty years Zelensky has been married to his schoolmate Olena. They have two children whom he has not seen, for security reasons, since the Russian invasion began in February 2022. Zelensky has a law degree but has never worked as a lawyer, opting instead for a career as a comedian and actor. In 2003 he founded the production company Kvartal 95, which produces films, TV series and cartoons. From 2015 to 2019 he played the lead role of the President of Ukraine in his company’s TV series “Servant of the People”. In 2018 his colleagues formed a political party with the same name as the TV series. In 2019, he stood in the presidential elections. His two main political promises were to stop the civil war in the Donbass and to end corruption among the authorities and state administration.

Usually art imitates reality. In this case, it was the opposite: reality imitated art. To first make a television series for several years in which an ordinary school teacher becomes president of Ukraine and solves the nation’s major problems, not least corruption, and then immediately afterwards to run for president — that’s genius. Zelensky was rewarded with a landslide victory. He received over 73% of the vote.

Ritter’s video

A blog reader sent me a recent video of the former UN weapons inspector, US Marine Scott Ritter, reviewing Zelensky. I had just finished a first draft of this column and am rushing to watch the half-hour-long briefing, entitled “Agent Zelensky”.

His hypothesis is that the US is not only behind the 2014 May Day uprising, but also behind Zelensky becoming president. He is an American agent. If so, he is a rogue agent. At the time of writing, during the NATO summit in Vilnius, he has angered both Britain and the US by his lack of gratitude for the support he receives. It doesn’t get any better if former CIA agent Larry Johnson is right when he claims in an interview that Zelensky is a major consumer of cocaine.

On YouTube there are a large number of videos featuring Scott Ritter. My feelings about his ongoing reporting and commentary on the Ukraine war are mixed. He is undoubtedly knowledgeable. He also has considerable analytical skills. The problem is that he has openly sided with Russia, to the point where I sometimes wonder if he is on Putin’s payroll. Whether he is a Russian agent, to spin the same theme.

Ritter’s video about Zelensky disappoints me a bit. It is rather thin, and I already know most of it. Maybe the promised part 2 will be more comprehensive? The best part is the account of all Zelensky’s luxury homes, with a total value of about 50 million dollars — more than half a billion Swedish kronor. These include a villa in Miami, a luxurious summer house in Forte dei Marmi, Italy, and an apartment in London.

At the very beginning of his video, Scott Ritter asks the Russian-American film producer Igor Lopatonok to compare Zelensky as president to an airplane pilot: “Imagine getting into an airplane and discovering that the person flying the plane is not a pilot but an actor playing the role of a pilot. This is a rather poor comparison because becoming president of a country requires no special skills. The actor Ronald Reagan is considered one of the best US presidents. I also think Arnold Schwarzenegger did pretty well as Governor of California, as he was re-elected. Besides, the world is full of professional politicians running their countries into the ground. “Sleepy Joe” (Biden) is probably one of them. He has been a politician all his professional life.

The spring offensive

For those who have followed the war on the battlefield, it has long been clear that Ukraine cannot win, despite the massive support it receives from NATO, the US and Europe, including Sweden. The hope has been in the so-called spring offensive, where Zelensky promised a turnaround that would bring Ukraine to victory. It dragged on and on. Many wondered if there really would be a spring offensive. It finally started, albeit hesitantly, in early June. Zelensky felt compelled to give NATO, the US and the West a run for their money. Why would they send ammunition, tanks and other combat vehicles, replenish the war chest and train soldiers if there was no
counter-offensive?
