An Institutional Rupture in Brazil

As discussed in a number of previous posts about Brazil, the Federal Supreme Court is the most powerful institutional force that opposes President Jair Bolsonaro. Alexandre de Moraes is a justice of the Supreme Court, and he also happens to be the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

Earlier this week Mr. De Moraes, acting on behalf of the TSE, denied a lawsuit filed by President Bolsonaro’s Liberal Party (PL) that questioned the legitimacy of the result of the recent presidential election. The PL had alleged that irregularities in the functioning of some of the voting machines demonstrated that the final tally was fraudulent.

Silas Malafaia is a Pentecostal televangelist in Brazil. In the following video Pastor Malafaia delivers a spirited rant about Alexandre de Moraes and his decision on the PL lawsuit.

All the Fake News That’s Unfit to Print

The following article reminds me of the notorious Washington Post feature on Jimmy the 8-year-old heroin addict. It was written by Janet Cooke and printed in the paper in the fall of 1980. The author won a Pulitzer Prize for her work, but a few months later the story began to unravel. It eventually emerged that the account was entirely fabricated, and Ms. Cooke had to return her prize and resign. Her name became synonymous with “fraudulent journalism”.

Nothing numbs the critical faculties of newspaper editors like the tear-jerking plight of the Puir Wee Bairns.

Four years after the Relotius scandal*

Doubts about the death of refugee girls: Spiegel takes its own article offline

Almost four years after the Relotius scandal, Der Spiegel again has a problem with some of its articles. There are doubts about the truthfulness of Spiegel reports from last August. Specifically, it is about a refugee girl who is said to have died on an island between Turkey and Greece.

Der Spiegel has now taken four articles about the case offline. Instead, the editors have published a statement under the respective URLs. Under the headline “Death trap EU border” of the original article from August 19th, 2022 it now says: “At this point there was an article about the fate of a group of refugees on the Greek-Turkish border river Evros in the summer of 2022. There are now doubts about the previous description of what happened at that time. We have therefore temporarily removed several posts on this topic from our website. We are reviewing our reporting and, once the research is complete, will decide whether or not to republish the articles in a corrected and updated form.” [Shouldn’t professional journalists research BEFORE they publish something? Or could it be, since this story fits the narrative, this isn’t done?]

Letter to Spiegel from Greek migration minister

As Medieninsider reports, there are not just doubts about the death of the girl. It is therefore unclear whether she existed at all. In one of the articles in question, the Spiegel reporter wrote accusingly, according to Medieninsider: “Now Maria is dead. She died at the beginning of August at Europe’s external border because the Greek authorities refused her any help. She had just turned five years old.”

According to Medieninsider, Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi expressed doubts, which he also shared with Spiegel editor-in-chief Steffen Klusmann in a letter in September. According to Medieninsider, Mitarachi accused the reporter of the Hamburg news magazine of having acquired the information on the case from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) almost unfiltered. And most importantly, “From the facts and all photographic evidence, it is clear that there is no missing child, let alone a dead child.”

Sudden Death

Below is the recently-released documentary video Died Suddenly. It concerns the worldwide surge of excess deaths that has been underway since the rollout of the experimental mRNA treatment intended to mitigate the effects of infection with the Wuhan Coronavirus.

This documentary focuses primarily on the strange elongated rubbery “blood clots” that have frequently been found in the blood vessels of deceased people by undertakers and embalmers, beginning when the vax was first introduced. The accounts given by multiple embalmers about the clots, and the visual evidence of the clots themselves, are what make the video so valuable — the independent testimony from so many witnesses is difficult to refute.

The rest of the footage contains a lot of sensationalized material, including clips of people who collapse suddenly. Some of these may be fakes, and some samples were definitely taken from videos that predate the COVID hysteria. But the sections featuring the embalmers are convincing, and very important.

Many thanks to Vlad Tepes for uploading this video. WARNING: some of the autopsy footage is graphic, and sensitive viewers may find it disturbing:

Indians in Brazil Demand UN Intervention Against Election Fraud

In the following video Cacique Raimundo, the “supreme president of the majority of indigenous chiefs in Brazil”, appeals to the UN for help. He maintains that the indigenes of Brazil who supported Jair Bolsonaro in the recent presidential election have been disenfranchised by election fraud.

Mandatory Vaccination? Never Mind!

The German health authorities have finally realized the uselessness of the experimental mRNA treatment intended to mitigate the effects of infection with the Wuhan Coronavirus, and will not renew the “vaccine” mandate. Everyone else reached the same conclusion a year and a half ago, but the wheels of God grind slowly.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from the German-language service of the Epoch Times:

Lauterbach: Vaccination does not protect against infection — vaccination obligation no longer applies

The Minister of Health is re-evaluating the vaccines with consequences for the institution-related vaccination mandate. Critics have been complaining about this for months.

Up until now, Health Minister Karl [“Klaboosterbach”] Lauterbach (SPD) has been a vehement advocate of compulsory vaccination in the nursing professions. One of Lauterbach’s main arguments was that the Corona vaccines protect against infection and guarantee milder courses. Now, however, there are new statements from the Minister of Health: “The vaccination no longer protects against infection. If it no longer protects against infection, then there is no longer any reason for it in these facilities,” Lauterbach told ZDF.

The Minister of Health adds that the “new variants” of the coronavirus in particular “cannot be detected” by the current vaccine. “That means you can still get infected, which will probably also apply to the BQ1.1 variant.”

The BQ1.1 variant is an Omicron subvariant and is considered to be more contagious than the Omicron variant. It is currently spreading in Europe as well as in the USA. The Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) justifies the expiry of the vaccination requirement for this new variant: “We expect that variant BQ1.1 or similar variants will dominate the infection process at the turn of the year,” said a spokesman for the BMG. However, the vaccination does not protect against infection with the variant.

As recently as two weeks ago, on November 8th, Lauterbach tweeted that the current vaccines would also work well with new variants. However, our Minister of Health does not see any reason to do without the injections entirely. According to him, the vaccination would still provide “very good” protection against serious illness. He has no qualms about voluntary vaccination.

Rationale against compulsory vaccination

Critics have been complaining for months that there are not enough reasons for compulsory vaccination.

In October of 2022, the state health ministers of Saxony, Bavaria, Thuringia and the Baden-Württemberg department head wrote a letter to the Federal Health Minister against an extension of the vaccination requirement. They feared that compulsory vaccination would exacerbate the lack of staff in the healthcare system.

“The institution-related vaccination obligation brings us more harm than good,” said Bavarian State Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU). “We need every available member of the workforce in medicine, nursing and integration assistance.”

Teach Your Children Well… NOT

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Bild. The translator’s comments are in square brackets:

Teachers’ Association President

The more migrants, the worse school performance

WHY are German schools so bad in an international comparison (30th place)? A current study by the Institute for Economic Research (University of Munich) shows: 23.8% of all students “do not achieve any basic skills that should be taught in school.” [Maybe if they taught “Taharrush”, the achievements would go through the roof.]

The President of the German Teachers’ Association, Heinz-Peter Meidinger (68), speaks plainly to Bild: “A key reason for the drop in performance at primary schools is the proportion of students with a migration background, which has increased by more than 50% in the last ten years.” The higher their proportion, according to Meidinger, “the lower, at least tendentially, the level of performance — this has been shown by accompanying PISA studies.”

Meidinger also emphasized: “If a large part of the class can no longer follow the lesson at all, the teacher must of course lower the targets. The performance level of children without a migration background then falls too.”

Federal Education Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger (54, FDP), according to Meidinger, is “a queen without a country, because the actual school policy is made in the individual German states.”

With regard to the 200,000 Ukrainian students in the country, Meidinger was also skeptical “whether permanent, successful integration into the German school system will be possible if the conditions do not improve.”

Stark-Watzinger knows the level problem, said Bild with a view to the poor performance of the German schools: “This development is alarming and makes the great need for action clear. We need modern schools, more teachers and more digital teaching.” [What about repatriation, along with their entire families, of those that do not bother to learn?]

Stark-Watzinger emphasized that with the start-up opportunities program she wanted to “use a big lever” in order to ensure better educational opportunities in Germany in the long term. [This is nothing more than multicultural balderdash under the scaffold.]

Harvest Home

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Today and part of tomorrow will be family time, so posting will be lighter than usual. Nevertheless, I should have no problem putting up a news feed tonight. Which unfortunately means looking at the news, eventually. I’ve had a break from it so far today, which is nice, but it can’t last indefinitely.

Enjoy your feast, if you’re here in the USA. If not, feast anyway while you can, and then dream when there’s nothing to feast on.

Fighting COVID Tyranny in Canada

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) has been exercising tyrannical control over doctors in Ontario, restricting their freedom to prescribe non-vax treatments for COVID-19 patients, and prosecuting them if they spread “misinformation” about the virus or the vax.

An important motion hearing was held today in a court in Ontario to decide whether the CPSO has overstepped the bounds of its authority. As of post time, I haven’t heard any word about how the hearing turned out.

In the video below, Michael Alexander, a lawyer for doctors who are being prosecuted, is interviewed by Dr. Sam Dubé in his “Fifth Doctor” podcast. Many thanks to Vlad Tepes and RAIR Foundation for uploading this video:

Evil or Stupid?

Last week, in one of our Skype groups, a non-American participant said:

I’ve seen this quote: “The US has two parties: the Evil Party and the Stupid Party.” Is it any wonder the stupid party is losing a** over teacup over and over again?

I replied:

I understand the sentiment, but it’s worse than that. The Republicans are also evil, but pretend to be stupid. They don’t need to win elections to reach their goals; they just need the system that rewards and enriches them to remain in place and stable. They get just as rich when they’re the opposition.

They have to pretend that they hold conservative principles and want to win elections, but it’s all a charade. Any Republican who intends to move up in the hierarchy has to forget all that. In the end, it’s about money and power and perks and getting laid (whether hookers, rent boys, or little kids).

All the rest of it is pretense.

It’s very demoralizing to realize what’s going on. But once you start seeing this stuff, you can’t go back to not seeing it.

It took me a long time to reach this cynical position. I wanted to believe that the Republican Party presented a viable opposition, and for many years I resisted the nagging sense that the whole thing was a charade. Even after I came to loathe Republicans, I still clung to the forlorn hope that the party could somehow overcome its deficiencies and mount a real challenge to Democrat hegemony.

The presidential elections of 2016 and 2020 were the final nails in the coffin of that hope. I meant it when I responded to my liberal friends who referred to me as a Republican:

“I’m NOT a Republican — I HATE Republicans! The only thing worse than a Republican is a Democrat!”

But now I’m not even sure that the Democrats are worse. After all, they don’t try to hide their true nature. They no longer pretend not to be Marxists. They’re fully up-front about wanting to raise taxes and increase spending. They make no bones about their intention to control our lives in minutest detail. They proudly wave the banners of racial discrimination and sexual perversion. What you see is what you get.

Republicans, on the other hand, pretend that they are conservatives, when they are just as enmeshed with the globalists and the international financiers that are ushering in the New World Order. And they pretend they want to win elections, but ever since 2016 we’ve been able to see that they really don’t. Right now the Republican establishment is simply committed to making sure that Donald Trump does not win another election, no matter what it does to their party. As long as the current power-sharing system remains intact, and they keep their places at the trough, the party that holds power is irrelevant.

It’s plain that Donald Trump is seen as the greatest threat to the existing system, and must be stopped at all costs.

*   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *

So how do the recent midterms fit into all this?

First of all, it’s completely clear that the voting systems are now fully rigged. The Democrats control the process in major urban centers, and have developed multiple interlocked strategies for generating the votes they need to put their candidates over the top in all races they deem significant.

Earnest Republican commentators are having a hard time with the results. They aren’t yet ready to see what is right in front of their eyes, so they take the midterm results at face value. This forces them to conclude that their fellow Americans are ignorant, uninformed, and unfathomably stupid. Which is depressing, so now they’re depressed (I’m thinking in particular of the gentlemen at Power Line). For some reason they aren’t able to grasp the fact that the system is rigged.
