Geert Wilders, the leader of the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, has proposed that people who reside in the Netherlands but hold passports from an Islamic country be required to sign a declaration renouncing sharia.

Wilders wants to introduce an anti-Sharia Declaration
THE HAGUE – Anyone who has a passport from an Islamic country in addition to a Dutch passport must, if PVV leader Geert Wilders has any say in it, sign an anti-Sharia declaration. He will propose that on Wednesday during the general political debate, he announced on Tuesday.
According to Wilders, the declaration should state that they do not want to introduce Sharia (Islamic law) in the Netherlands, and that they repudiate all the violent passages in the Koran. “If they don’t do that then as far as I’m concerned there is no place for them in the Netherlands. Sharia is hate. We can’t have hundreds of thousands of people in the Netherlands who want to introduce the Sharia. You have to accept Dutch democracy and renounce the Sharia. I want them to come out and publicly declare that.”
Unacceptable
Wilders referred once again to a recent survey by Motivaction, showing that 73 percent of Muslims called jihad fighters heroes. According to him this is unacceptable.
A synagogue in the Anderlecht borough of Brussels was damaged by fire today, and police say the fire was deliberately set. Three people, including two children, suffered from mild smoke inhalation. There’s no word yet on whether cultural enrichment played a role in the fire.
In other news, a terror alarm was raised at Luton Airport north of London after two “Asian” men were seen watching the airplanes through a range finder. Dozens of police, along with sniffer dogs, were sent to search the area around the airport.

Last Friday Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff and Sister Hatune Dogan gave a presentation at a breakfast meeting hosted by Faith McDonnell at the Institute on Religion and Democracy in Washington D.C. I was fortunate enough to be present at the event, and was tasked with doing the video recording (which wasn’t so bad a job, since I was able to leave the camera motionless on the tripod for 90% of the time — otherwise the footage might have been less than optimal).
The clip below is a small excerpt from the two-hour session, and features Sister Hatune. As most readers already know, Hatune is a nun in the Syrian Orthodox Church. She was born and raised a Christian in southeast Turkey, but her family fled to Germany to escape persecution. She now runs a foundation that ministers to victims of religious persecution. Sister Hatune’s principal mission is the thousands of little girls who are assaulted, raped, tortured, and mutilated by Islamist terrorists and jihad fighters. She also ministers to refugees fleeing the civil war in Syria.
In this excerpt, Sister Hatune tells the story of two little boys in Germany who had once been friends. Then the little Turkish boy started taking Koran classes, and learned that he was not allowed to make friends with Christians and Jews. Sister Hatune describes what happened after that.

Last week we reported on the latest (at that time) ISIS propaganda video, which as usual featured gruesome footage of horrific violence, including mass executions, corpses with horrible wounds, beheaded bodies, and all the other sacerdotal niceties that we have come to expect from the Islamic State.
Vlad captured a copy of the video before YouTube took it down, so I was able to watch the whole thing — although I admit I had to avert my gaze from parts of it. There’s only so much of that stuff I can take.
The video chronicled a military operation in which ISIS overran a Syrian air base. The most significant portion of the footage showed the weaponry they captured at the base, including fighter jets, tanks, missiles, artillery, and stored munitions.
Thinking that YouTube would allow non-violent portions of the ISIS video to be uploaded, I asked Vlad to excerpt footage of the captured weapons. But I was mistaken — even though there was no shooting, no beheading, no dead bodies, and no violence of any sort, YouTube said the excerpts violated their “Community Guidelines” on violence, and then turned down an appeal. Mind you, the shorter video was no more violent than a Soviet May Day parade in Red Square — just a display of weapons — yet YouTube would not allow it.
I’ll speculate more on the reasons for their actions later on in this post. But first I’d like to recap what was in the video they deleted.
Fortunately, I still have a copy of the footage that Vlad excerpted. It’s a little over a minute long. I made fifteen screen caps from it, and they are displayed below (with one image at the top of this post). As we reported last time, the hardware seems to be Russian (which is what you would expect in Syria). The planes have been identified as MiG-21s and one of the tanks as a T-72. I don’t have any information about the rest — readers may leave their observations in the comments. I’m particularly interested in the missiles and the other ordnance.
According to the latest polls, the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid, PVV, led by Geert Wilders) is now the #1 party in the Netherlands:

People who voted VVD in 2012 are mostly switching to the PVV (10%) and D66 (8%), while PvdA voters are switching to the SP (12%), D66 (10%) and Green Party (6%), but the majority don’t know at the moment (20%).
Last Sunday Swedish voters went to the polls to cast their ballots in parliamentary elections, which occur once every four years. The results removed the “center-right” coalition (not really conservative by any standard except the Swedish one) from power, and a socialist coalition government is expected to be formed.
The big news of the election, however, was that the Sweden Democrats (Sverigedemokraterna) received almost 13% of the vote. SD goes against the dominant ideology, criticizing mass immigration and Islamization.
13% doesn’t sound like much. In fact, a leading socialist politician recommends that people write “87” on their palms to indicate they are not part of the repugnant “racist” and “xenophobic” minority that supported Sverigedemokraterna.
However, the results are more significant than mere numbers would indicate…
A boat bound for Italy carrying approximately 250 migrants capsized off the coast of Libya. Thirty-six passengers survived, while the remainder are feared to have drowned. Since last Friday, at least 800 would-be immigrants have died trying to make the crossing to Italy.
Meanwhile, the town of Salerno in southern Italy is preparing for the expected arrival of a boat carrying 837 migrants, including children and pregnant women.

A startling new revelation about the Benghazi scandal broke today. If politics in this country were normal, the news would scupper the candidacy of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race. But 21st-century politics in the USA is far from normal, so who knows?
A former State Department employee has revealed that Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff ordered that certain records concerning what happened in Benghazi on September 11, 2012 be withheld from the official investigation. Below is the report aired by Sharyl Attkisson on Fox News:
As the House Select Committee on Benghazi prepares for its first hearing this week, a former State Department diplomat is coming forward with a startling allegation: Hillary Clinton confidants were part of an operation to “separate” damaging documents before they were turned over to the Accountability Review Board investigating security lapses surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya.
According to former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond Maxwell, the after-hours session took place over a weekend in a basement operations-type center at State Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. This is the first time Maxwell has publicly come forward with the story.
At the time, Maxwell was a leader in the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA), which was charged with collecting emails and documents relevant to the Benghazi probe.
“I was not invited to that after-hours endeavor, but I heard about it and decided to check it out on a Sunday afternoon,” says Maxwell.
He didn’t know it then, but Maxwell would ultimately become one of four State Department officials singled out for discipline — he says scapegoated — then later cleared for devastating security lapses leading up to the attacks. Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were murdered during the Benghazi attacks.
“Basement Operation”
Maxwell says the weekend document session was held in the basement of the State Department’s Foggy Bottom headquarters in a room underneath the “jogger’s entrance.” He describes it as a large space, outfitted with computers and big screen monitors, intended for emergency planning, and with small offices on the periphery.

It’s the Real Islam
The video in question shows us as well as anything, everything about the intentions of ISIS, their ideological and religious backgrounds, their historical embeddedness, their objectives and their methods. The video is a self-portrayal; it is a video which propagandises, mobilises, recruits, and establishes a kind of claim to world domination.
I think it is a question here of a qualitatively new condition in the Islamic world; for ISIS really constitutes one of the most compact distillates of the Islamic Weltanschauung and religion in the history of Islam generally. It is, so to speak, the archetype of everything which constitutes Islam. And the video illustrates that, considering all the activities which are carried out here with reference to fundamentals of faith and in respect of the life of the so called Messenger, Mohammed. It illustrates that there is a central figure in the Islamic world, the true Imam: that Imam who imposes the true doctrine and who is also able to enforce it with physical violence, thus to force and foster it.
On the one hand, it is about the confrontation with what is called shirk in Islam, a confrontation with those who associate [with other gods, idolatry] so to speak. Thus the Shiites are addressed first. Footage is shown of the destruction of Samarra, a city which was symbolic in the history of the confrontation with the Shiites. Samarra was one of the centres of the Safavid dynasty, which was a Sieneer dynasty, which also stood in military confrontation with the Ottoman Empire for a long time. And it is this city which is being brutally destroyed. It is being razed to the ground, symbolically as it were, including everything which counts as a so called sacred site in this city: shrines and the minarets. That is one scene.
This scene is grouped around the effort towards the complete, verbal expressive power of Islam. An entire vocabulary is employed, which has central significance in Islam. Vocabulary such as the above mentioned shirk, the mushrikeen, the murtad, which is to say the unbelievers, the apostates, those who associate apart from Allah, and therefore are condemned to death. The fatal outcome is the immediate consequence of apostasy and exemplifies what happens when one is not subject to the Imam, as it were, and shuts oneself off from the true doctrine.
The whole idea is then applied to the entre Islamic world. On the other hand, it is said that the Islamic world is in confusion; that it is in a diaspora, and that it is situated in fragments. Thus here the myth of the Umma is used, the global community of Muslims. At the same time the claim is also made that ISIS will be the only power and organisation which will in fact establish the Umma. Then the entire verbal acrobatics in opposition to the West are brought forward. Democracy is attacked, secularism is attacked and the national statehood of the Western world is attacked; namely, those images of the enemy with which Islam has been operating uninterruptedly, especially since the blossoming of the Muslim Brothers and the Salafists. That is the second distillation. And it indicates a world view in which everything is subject to Allah, in which even the differences among state, religion and the individual’s day-to-day living are levelled, and even the reality of the world vanishes.

Thoughts on the Elections in Sweden by Fjordman
Sweden held national elections on September 14, 2014. As was expected beforehand, the ruling coalition government of Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt announced defeat and will step down, after having been in power since 2006. Sweden’s likely new Prime Minister is the Social Democrat Stefan Löfven. However, the Sweden Democrats, the only significant political party to oppose the ongoing mass immigration and widely demonized by the mainstream media for doing so, became the country’s third-largest party at nearly 13 percent. They entered parliament for the first time in 2010. Since the other parties have vowed to isolate the SD, this could make the formation of a new government challenging.
The election campaign in 2014 marked the first time when established politicians from other parties admitted that mass immigration actually costs a lot of money. It’s not at all “good for the economy”, a lie that has been systematically repeated for decades. It is likely that the presence of the Sweden Democrats has finally forced the other parties to at least hint that there could be problems related to mass immigration.
The establishment still does not give a full account of just how much it costs, though. Even very low estimates indicate that the current Third World mass immigration costs the country tens of billions of kroner every single year. A higher estimate indicates that immigration could cost Swedish taxpayers a couple of hundred billion kroner annually, after the cost of rising crime and other factors are included in the calculations. The natives are thereby funding their own colonization and gradual displacement. This bill keeps rising year by year.
Over the years, I have probably written at least as much about Sweden as about Norway, despite being Norwegian myself. Sweden is the largest country in the Nordic region. When people from other parts of the world refer to the Scandinavian welfare state model, they sometimes call it the Nordic model or the Scandinavian model. Often, however, they simply refer to it as the Swedish model.
Perhaps that is one of the primary reasons why Sweden is currently disintegrating at a rapid pace. Swedes have created the self-image that their country may not be a very large country, but it is a very important country. A model society for all of mankind, a kind of humanitarian superpower.
Several Arab countries have declared their willingness to join the United States in carrying out air strikes against the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. British Prime Minister David Cameron, however, has refused to join the operation, even after a British hostage was beheaded by ISIS.
In other news, the anti-euro party Alternative für Deutschland (Alternative for Germany, AfD) has done well in elections in Thuringia (10%) and Brandenburg (12%), allowing it to take seats in both parliaments for the first time.

The performance of the Sweden Democrats in today’s election exceeded all expectation, and may even constitute an earthquake in Swedish politics. Henrik Ræder Clausen watched this evening’s results on Danish and Swedish television, and compiled the following report for Gates of Vienna.

It was expected that the immigration-critical party Sverigedemokraterna (“The Sweden Democrats”, SD) would do well in today’s Swedish elections. Now that the results are in, SD won 13% of the vote (48 seats in the Swedish parliament Riksdagen), up from 5.7% (20 seats). They beat all expectations, severely shaking up the Swedish political and media establishment. The party is now the third largest in Sweden, twice as large as the fourth largest (the environmentalist party Miljøpartiet, 24 seats).
During the election, much effort had been put into denigrating and demonizing Sverigedemokraterna. This includes the refusal to talk to them at debate meetings, a media refusal to run their paid advertisements, and the issuance of a warning that Sweden risks a descent to the “State of Denmark” — that is, discussing the harmful effects of immigration. In the last days before the election, the media and politicians dictated to the voters: “Don’t vote for Sverigedemokraterna!” For what the establishment truly feared was to break the Swedish silence on the key topics: Islam and immigration.
Apparently, this attitude has caused a significant Streisand Effect in the elections. Danish media, just across the strait of Øresund, has picked up on the decline of Swedish democracy. In particular, Jyllands-Posten has carried crass opinion pieces and editorials about the collapse of due democratic process in Sweden, and the famous Swedish welfare going down in flames. But the fresh results seem to challenge the notion of that decline.
Tommaso Ghirelli, the Bishop of Imola, seems to have gone off-message, at least from the point of view of the Vatican. He has called for better behavior on the part of Muslims, demanding that they reciprocate the kindness shown to Muslim refugees by the West, instead of persecuting and slaughtering Christians.
