Mathieu Slama is a French political journalist and essayist who teaches at the Sorbonne. In the following video he discusses his vision of Europe as a cosmopolitan paradise where all citizens are identity-free, and where evil nationalism can gain no traction. He acknowledges that current events are trending against him, and specifically mentions Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as representing the forces of identitarian reaction.

In the last few weeks there has been a big uproar in Germany about physical attacks on politicians from several different parties.

For cynics who have been following German politics for the last ten years or so, it’s quite amusing, because members of the AfD (Alternative für Deutschland, Alternative for Germany) have been routinely attacked ever since the party gained national prominence. I’ve covered the attacks multiple times in the past. But now that members of other parties are getting punched and kicked, suddenly it’s big news.

Below are two pieces about the uproar over political violence in Germany. Many thanks to Hellequin GB for the translations.

There are double standards when it comes to violence during election campaigns

After the attack on an SPD politician, the exploitation for party purposes is underway — and against the AfD. Their opponents hold them responsible. But recent statements from the CDU and SPD raise questions. A comment from JF editor-in-chief Dieter Stein.

The physical attack on the Saxon SPD candidate Matthias Ecke in the EU election rightly caused outrage across all parties. The act is condemned by people from the left to AfD politicians. That’s how it should be. If only the indignation were always so unanimous, no matter whom it affects. But politicians from the wrong party have been leading the statistics for years when it comes to victims of violent acts: AfD politicians are by far the most frequently attacked. Has this triggered any outcry, large demonstrations, special broadcasts or warning words from the Federal President? No. There is a broadcast break here. [Come on, we all know by now that they’re celebrating those attacks against the AfD.]

Did it trigger a national response when Rhineland-Palatinate AfD parliamentary group leader Uwe Junge was attacked on the street in 2016 and his cheekbone was broken? When AfD member of the Bundestag Kay Gottschalk was attacked by left-wing extremists before entering the federal party conference in Hanover in 2017 (along with other guests) and his hand was broken? Or when AfD co-party leader Tino Chrupalla was attacked at an information stand in Ingolstadt in October 2023, injured and taken to hospital? Or the countless arson attacks on cars and offices?

AfD politicians have been the main target of violent attacks for years. This never led to an outcry. [Just follow the money: it’s the German Government that financially supports ANTIFA. They are their “brown-shirts”.]

Opponents blame AfD for violence

Even before the motives were clarified and the perpetrators were caught by the police, the crime against Ecke was exploited politically. There were already demonstrations in Berlin and Dresden on Sunday. There, politicians from the traffic light [coalition] and the Union [CDU/CSU] declared the AfD to be responsible for this act of violence. The AfD is responsible for creating a climate of violence through “disinhibition of language”. Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) accuses the AfD of being the “intellectual arsonist” of this development. CSU party leader Markus Söder believes that the “AfD ideology” spread over the Internet is “inciting everyone.”

What contribution do politicians make to verbal disarmament when they refuse requests from their colleagues in the AfD to sign joint appeals against violence? What if they line up at demonstrations called for by a platform with the divisive name “Together Against the Right”? And politicians from the FDP and CDU/CSU then stand behind a deliberately ambiguous left-wing extremist Antifa poster “Kill Nazis”?

Shortly before the crime, SPD leader Saskia Esken confirmed on ORF that the AfD was a “Nazi party”. Esken stands next to NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU), who repeated in Berlin — shamefully trivializing the Third Reich — that the AfD was a “Nazi party”. A prime example of linguistic disinhibition. The term “Nazi” is used to dehumanize political opponents. Every means against them then seems legitimate. Who is the arsonist here?

For these old parties in Germany there is and has only been one goal, TO STAY IN POWER long enough so that the German people can become extinct, and by any means necessary. It’s as simple as that. We’ll Always Have Malmö

An earlier and considerably smaller protest in Malmö

The Eurovision song contest is being held this week in the southern Swedish city of Malmö, which is one of the most Islamized cities in Europe. The participation of an Israeli contestant in the pageant has been inflammatory for those culture-enrichers, and not just the local ones from the Islamic ghetto in Rosengård — Muslim protesters have come from far and wide to decry the Zionist presence in Malmö, and they have been supplemented by native European Gutmenschen who also happen to be Jew-haters.

Thousands of protesters have been gathering outside the venue every day, prominent among them Greta Thunberg, who has metamorphosed from a chic climate waif into a chic keffiyeh gamine, and draws a lot of media attention in the scrum on the cobblestones.

Below are two articles about this week’s antics in Malmö, both translated by Gary Fouse. The first was published yesterday by Nya Dagbladet:

Tens of thousands expected to demonstrate against Israel in Malmö

Today, two pro-Palestinian demonstrations are being organized in Malmö against Israel’s participation in “Eurovision”, in which the organizers believe there will be about 25,000 participants. A bit later, there will also be a pro-Israel demonstration to “support” the Israeli artist Eden Golan, and on Malmö’s streets there will be heavily armed police from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.

At 4pm, pro-Palestinian demonstrators will march from Stortorget [Grand Square] to Slottsparken [Palace Park], and organizers of “Stop Israel” report that about 25,000 participants are expected. An hour later, another similar demonstration is organized in the city district of Hyllie.

“We will act quickly, setting limits, and we have a low tolerance. On the other hand, we have a high tolerance for freedom of speech,” says Police Commander Petra Stenkula to TV4.

At 6pm, there will be a “counter-demonstration” held at Davidhallstorg [Davidhall Square], where the stated purpose is to support the Israeli artist Eden Golan, who is taking part in the evening’s semi-final. Heavily armed police from Sweden, Norway, and Denmark are on-site, but report that as of this time they have not received any information that indicates there will be violence.

“There will be a lot of police seen in the city,” says the police spokesman Filip Annas to TT [news group].

Want to throw Israel out

It can be noted that hundreds of demonstrators are arriving in Malmö from Denmark in hired buses, and even more are expected to cross the sound by train.

“Our primary task is to see that the public gatherings are carried out without disturbances, and should there be disturbances, we naturally will deal with them,” explains Annas.

Pro-Palestinian voices, thus far without success, have long demanded that Eden Golan and Israel be thrown out of the music competition, referring to Israel’s ongoing invasion of Gaza and what is described as a genocide directed against the Palestinian population there.

Green Party leader Omid Nouripour discovers the simple solutions for himself. “Muslim Interactive”, known from the caliphate demonstrations in Hamburg? Forbid. Foreign threats? Deport. But how realistic is that, really?

The federal chairman of the Green Party, Omid Nouripour, has called for a ban on the Islamist group “Muslim Interaktiv”. “The very group that is carrying out these caliphate demonstrations must be banned. And to be honest, I don’t have an answer as to why it hasn’t happened yet,” Nouripour said on Wednesday in an interview with the Bild newspaper.

Anyone who calls for an Islamic theocracy is in opposition to the free, democratic basic order. “This is also a reason why not only the demonstration should be banned, but also the organization that wants it,” argued Nouripour.

Do you know what upsets me most about these #Caliphate demos? The problem is not these 1,100 Islamists who demonstrated here. The problem is that NOTHING is heard from 99% of the remaining 5,298,000 Muslims in this country! No counter-demonstrations, no outcry, no condemnation of these demos. This behavior, regardless of the reasons, makes you complicit when all Muslims are lumped together. Finally stand up and show your face! Nothing can be expected from current politics. Faeser wants to punish calls for a caliphate

It is unclear whether calling for a caliphate per se is a criminal offense. According to the interpretation of the Central State Security Office of the Hamburg Public Prosecutor’s Office, this is not the case. A “concrete action” is needed, such as direct calls for crimes and clear plans for a coup. Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) announced on Tuesday that she wanted to examine whether the call for a caliphate could be fundamentally banned. [Banning the call is not going to stop Islam and its more than 1400-year-old mission. What Faeser is doing here is the way a complete nincompoop would deal with a problem.]

In addition to banning “Muslim Interactive,” Nouripour would like to see more consistent action against Islamists overall. This requires more police and regulatory authorities. Currently there is a lack of staff here. [Well, I guess this is going exactly as planned.]

Send ’Em Back — The Ukrainians, That Is

Ukraine lacks soldiers. That’s why CDU politician Roderich Kiesewetter is pushing for Ukrainians subject to military service who are currently living in Germany to return to their homeland. He also wants to build up financial pressure.

The CDU member of the Bundestag Roderich Kiesewetter has called for Ukrainians in Germany who are subject to military service to be persuaded to return home. “There are at least 200,000 Ukrainian men of military age living in Germany, who are missing in Ukraine to support the country in the defense struggle,” he told the editorial network Germany (RND).

The Federal Republic should support Ukraine in making fair offers to men capable of military service and providing incentives for voluntary return. “In return, Germany could, for example, suspend citizen’s benefits for this group and help with the registration and delivery of notices,” added Kiesewetter, emphasizing that not all those affected necessarily have to fight at the front. There is also a lack of staff in other areas.

Kiesewetter: “Question of patriotism, supporting one’s own country”

In Germany there is, for historical reasons, a great understanding of conscientious objection. But there is a difference between a country waging war voluntarily or whether it is about the country’s existence in a war of aggression, argued the CDU politician. “It is a question of patriotism and solidarity to support your own country.” [Funny that the same doesn’t seem to apply to Muslims and Africans. I wonder why?]

The reason for Kiesewetter’s statements is Ukraine’s decision to no longer issue passports to men of military age in its consulates. It is unclear whether conscripts in Germany will receive replacement documents.

The people of China have repeatedly been used as pawns in grandiose plans. Authoritarian leaders have wanted to carry out major upheavals in society, without considering the suffering this could inflict on individuals.

In The Great Leap Forward under the Communist dictator Mao, China was to become an economic superpower through the collectivization of Chinese agriculture. People were treated as faceless means of production. The result was disastrous.

One of the frightening things about our age is that Western leaders are now inflicting great suffering on their populations by subjecting them to grandiose social and medical experiments.

Several specialists warn against what they call turbo cancer. Different types of cancers are now suddenly behaving more aggressively and developing faster than they normally would have done just a few years ago. Many young people are also affected by this.

This phenomenon seems to have begun after hundreds of millions of people across much of the world were injected with mRNA-based so-called coronavirus vaccines.

One of the experts who directly links the increase in aggressive cancer to the so-called corona vaccines is Ute Krüger from Germany. She has worked in Sweden for a long time and speaks Swedish well. Krüger is a specialist in pathology with more than 25 years of experience. For many years, she has also conducted cancer research at Lund University.[1]

Since the fall of 2022, she has been warning against the emergence of a new type of fast-growing “turbo tumors”. Many different types of cancer are showing a strong increase over the past few years, in both men and women.[2]

She has sounded the alarm in the scientific community, but has not received the response she had hoped for. No one in Kalmar, Sweden, where Krüger was employed, was interested in the study she proposed.

Despite increasing documentation of serious and potentially life-threatening side effects, criticism of mRNA-based injections has been dismissed as conspiracy theories for several years. Ute Krüger has now resigned as a senior physician and runs a private clinic.[3]

Jihad Comes to the Tourtoirac Cemetery

During the gradual Islamic conquest of an infidel territory, part of the process involves the Islamization of kuffar cemeteries. In the initial phase, infidel graves are vandalized and desecrated. Eventually the cemeteries become Muslim cemeteries, but that may take a century or more. Islam is nothing if not patient.

The Tourtoirac Cemetery, in the Dordogne in southwestern France, has entered the early stages of the Islamic conversion.

Dozens of tombs were covered with inscriptions in black spray paint: “Allah”, “cowards”, “I hate you”, as well as tags making reference to political personalities or to various news items. Some tags announce the death dates of Jean-Luc Melenchon, Marine Le Pen, or Jordan Barbella [president of National Rally], or even Pascal Praud [radio host], while others make reference to Mila or “Vengeance for Cherbourg”.

Tags had already been seen since December in the surrounding villages, on the calvaries of Saint-Pantaly-d’Excideuil, Cherveix-Cubas, Saint-Mesmin, and Coulaures. The first cemetery was tagged at Clermont d’Excideuil in early March. “It’s the same thing as in the other villages, particularly in Clermont,” the mayor of Tourtoirac believes.

A gang of teenage migrants terrorizes a small town. Violent attacks, humiliation and blackmail are the order of the day in Ahaus. But the mayor dismisses it.

Fights, stalking, blackmail with film material, humiliation, damage to property, disturbing the peace and trespassing are said to be the responsibility of the gang. The young migrants are also said to be responsible for burglaries and drug trafficking. According to the investigation, they committed the crimes primarily in schools, in the castle gardens and in the train station area.

According to police, the leader is said to be a 12-year-old. Who is not held criminally responsible. The officers were able to assign 50 crimes to him. The investigators accuse the child of almost all offenses, from serious bodily harm to insults and threats, as a spokesman for the Bild newspaper said.

The Day(s) That Turkish President Erdogan Humiliated America

The Day(s) That Turkish President Erdogan Humiliated America

Weak. Deceitful. Cowardly.

Those words describe America’s ongoing responses to the savage, unprovoked attack on peaceful protestors by Turkish President Erdogan’s security detail in Washington, DC.

It happened on Tuesday afternoon, May 16, 2017 following his meeting with President Trump.

Shortly after his motorcade arrived at the Turkish ambassador’s Sheridan Circle residence, where protestors had lawfully assembled across the street, Erdogan commanded his bodyguards to “attack, attack.”

Breaking through police lines, they kicked, punched, and bloodied the protesters, including women. Other Turks, purportedly not in Erdogan’s entourage, did the same.

The motorcade then brutalized a female demonstrator on its way to the Turkish Embassy. Assaults on Americans continued there.

The day saw a minimum of eleven persons, some with severe injuries, transported to the hospital.

Among those set upon and injured: Two U.S. Diplomatic Security members, six Secret Service agents, and a DC police officer.

Turks Allowed to Escape

Turkish Ambassador Serdar Kilic promptly asked that the bodyguards not be detained.

Sure enough, some 90 minutes later, U.S. security released them and accompanied Erdogan’s caravan to Joint Base Andrews where they jetted off to Turkey.

It was the fastest “joint move and departure I’ve ever seen,” said one U.S. agent.

The administration let the Turkish bodyguards flee, allegedly because they had diplomatic immunity.

Indignation

Then, too late, came the indignation, such as:

  • The State Department expressed its “concern to the Turkish government in the strongest possible terms.”
  • The bodyguards should be “charged and prosecuted,” said a unanimous House resolution in June.

Astonishingly, Trump said nothing about the attack. Perhaps this was due to his and his associates’ close relationships with Turkey and Erdogan.

There was good news, though.

On August 29, 2017, a federal grand jury indicted 15 Turkish bodyguards on felony charges.

That suggested that releasing them had been a serious error.

But then came Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s disgraceful meeting with Erdogan in Ankara on February 15, 2018.

America Caves in to Turkey — Again

Tillerson ordered that no American translator, aide, or transcriber attend the meeting.

That violated State Department protocol and ensured that no American could witness what Tillerson would bargain away.

Just the day before, the Justice Department moved — surely not coincidentally — to drop its case against most of Erdogan’s bodyguards. Charges were dismissed eight days later. Apparently, the entire detail has since dodged U.S. justice.

Tillerson obviously struck a Faustian deal to let Turkey’s unhinged president and his thugs off the hook.

That betrayed the American security agents, police, and demonstrators whom the Turks had assaulted and injured. It also mocked the First Amendment’s freedoms of assembly and speech.

American credibility took a hit as Ankara got away — like so many times before and since — with its crimes.
