ESW: We Need to Reclaim Our Right to Speak Freely

A week ago today, on August 21, the American Freedom Alliance presented a conference in Los Angeles, “Islam and Western Civilization: Can they Coexist?” One of the featured speakers was Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff.

Many thanks to Henrik Clausen for recording, and to Vlad Tepes for uploading this video:

  1. Excellent speech Elisabeth. Your courage is inspirational.

I have a question. Why do you sound Canadian as you are Austrian? You don’t have a Germanic accent.

I’m 40 years in Canada/USA from Ireland and I’m told regularly I retain an Irish lilt, despite 3 years of elocution prior to departing an Sean Tir (the Auld Sod).

I admit though that when required I can speak Canadian/Floridian/Texan/Scottish/Kiwi/Aussie/German/French/Newfie/German/Italian/Spanish and a few others.

I hold the border at moslim though.

    • I daresay Elisabeth can answer for herself, but a quick Giggle search reveals that she’s the daughter of a diplomat, partly raised in Iran, and has taught at an English language school in Vienna.

In other words, she makes most of we Brits (and Americans) look insular.

    • Actually, I spent part of my childhood in New York and attended junior high school in Chicago.

      ‘Nuff said?!

  2. Funny I have listened to all the speeches but not one actually addresses the key theme of the conference. I think it was named so as to obscure the real theme of the conference: “Islam. Now what?” 🙂
