I reported last week on the intifada staged outside of the Holocaust museum during its official opening in Amsterdam. The incident was organized by the demonic convergence of Muslims and the far Left. Our Dutch correspondent H. Numan sends this report with details and historical background for what happened in Amsterdam.
A historic event just happened

A week ago the extreme Left blew any chance of governing the country for the foreseeable future. Femke Halsema, the mayor of Amsterdam, denies everything. However, she was deeply involved in the anti-Semitic demonstration during the opening of the Holocaust museum in Amsterdam. That museum was not something set up in an available building. Nope. It was set up in the exact building where the deportations were organized. Inside the king, the government, the president of Israel and the elites were painfully embarrassed by the pogrom going on outside. You know, because it was reported here. However, there is much more going on than just a national humiliation of epic proportions. This wasn’t a demonstration; it was a pogrom. And like the one in Germany, orchestrated by the (municipal) government. A real, full-blown pogrom.
During WW2 the Dutch elites and entire civil service were, as we call, it ‘fout’ (wrong). They served the Germans far better and much more efficiently than our own quislings. Almost all Jews were rounded up and exterminated. Our national railway company NS was praised by Himmler himself for her excellent work and superior management in shipping Jews directly to concentration camps deep inside Germany. The police had to be reorganized after the war to regain popular support. It took them until the early ’70s before that happened. The Dutch ID card was the most difficult to forge of all ID cards in Europe issued on German orders.
Westerbork is the most infamous concentration camp in The Netherlands. Westerbork was set up near a remote village in Drenthe (itself a remote province) to house Jewish refugees from Germany. It should have been Het Loo. Somewhat too close for comfort for queen Wilhelmina, who had a residence, the palace Het Loo, in the area. She explicitly forbade building a Jewish refugee center. She didn’t want to have ‘that’ kind of people, even ten miles away, from her royal palace. The Germans were pleasantly surprised to find it, full with refugees. Saved them a lot of work.
After the war people realized what had happened and made amends. Since WW2 The Netherlands has been a staunch ally of Israel. Even the Labor party strongly supported Israel during the Six Day War. The (Labor) prime minister personally called his counterpart and said: “Don’t worry. We’re behind you all the way.” The minister of defense ensured vital military cargo was sent to Israel. Even though it was outright illegal. He was a reprehensible guy for defense, but morally commendable. That’s something you have to know why the Dutch as a nation are such strong Israel supporters.
That pro-Israel stance changed in the Labor party when New Left (young far-left highly educated socialists) took over. A pro-Israel stance was never present further to the Left, in parties such as the Socialist and Communist Parties. It disappeared in the Labor party when they dropped the common man and picked up mohammedan migrants. It’s now completely gone since they were merged with the communist party. GL stands for Green Left, and is the communist party in all but name. The communist party was never popular here, with little support from the common man. Their support comes from the disenchanted upper middle class.
When Labor and the conservative VVD became more progressive, they electorally declined. Labor so much that they merged into GL. GL didn’t decline, or at least not as much, because they attract extremists and weren’t that big anyway. You can’t decline if there is nothing to decline, right?
Then the opening of the Holocaust museum happened. I was appalled. Not just me, the entire nation was flabbergasted. Humiliated. How did something like that happen here?? Not only that, but it is organized. Yes, Femke Halsema claims she didn’t know anything about it, but she almost always lies.
A demonstration of this size cannot be but organized with full support from the mayor. She knew all about it, and made sure it could happen and did happen. She ordered the police to ‘de-escalate’. In other words, not to act. Very few arrests were made. Even though severe violence took place, she insisted on ‘de-escalation’. Femke showed the king and his entourage who owns Amsterdam. It ain’t the king! William Alexander is not the brightest bean in the barrel, and far from popular, but this is something he cannot allow. Even worse: this was organized by Halsema’s party from the town hall. It was an organized pogrom, not much different from the Kristallnacht. To rub salt in the wound: a few days prior the king appointed comrade Femke for another term of six years. I’m pretty certain he regrets it.
A day later a famous Dutch comedian made a persiflage about Femke Halsema, with a wig and an air pistol. That was a reminder of earlier events involving her partner and son who got into minor trouble with fake firearms. Femke was furious. She, the ruler of Amsterdam, humiliated? We cannot tolerate that! Within two hours a large police squad raided his house with a search warrant. He was arrested in heavy-handed fashion, his house was searched and he was taken to the precinct. To be released, later on, without apologies. I expect his house needs some maintenance after the search. They didn’t pussyfoot around.
Under normal circumstances Femke and her hoodlums would have gotten away with it, but we are in the process of forming a new government. Now it has epic consequences. The Progressive Left has just condemned themselves to a decade of oblivion. A left-wing cabinet is now impossible. We do not do business with anti-Semites organizing pogroms, period.
Yes, you read that right. The Left went — finally — too far. No, there won’t be an investigation. Femke won’t be forced to resign. The king won’t do anything. Nobody will condemn Labor or GL for it. ‘Mistakes’ have been made. Some ‘mistakes’ cannot be forgotten or forgiven. This is one of them. When you do unspeakable things there are consequences. In this case, political oblivion. Nobody will say anything, nobody will do anything. But nobody will work together with that kind of pond scum.
The elections gave us two possible cabinets: an ultra-left-wing coalition, or a somewhat conservative coalition. The electorate clearly wanted a strong conservative cabinet; the elites the opposite. They tried to bend Geert Wilders and the PVV into impossible concessions. The latest is this: a new cabinet will not have any party leader in it. Geert Wilders and all the other party leaders will not accept governmental responsibilities but remain in parliament. Somebody else will become prime minister. Who, we don’t know yet. Geert accepted that.
And then… Kristall Sunday happened. Geert can relax. Kick off his shoes. Crack open a cold one. His worries are over. From now on, a left-wing coalition is completely impossible. He doesn’t have to make any concessions anymore. The tables are turned. The other parties have to make concessions to him. If they don’t, he simply can ignore them. Wait for new elections. The PVV is on the rise, currently polling 50 seats or ⅓ of Parliament. The next biggest party is PvdA-GL with 24 seats polled. Less than half of the PVV, but they ruined any chance they had of governing. Right now his reluctant partners VVD and NSC have something to negotiate with. If they go for new elections they will be mostly gone.
Especially Pieter Omtzigt. The more I hear about this man, the more I wonder how he got that far. At first I thought, when the print ‘Omtzigt, position elsewhere’ leaked out, the man had been done an injustice. He went into the elections openly stating he didn’t want to become prime minister, but he didn’t appoint anyone else. Then he blew up negotiations. Not his party. He, himself. Nobody else. Negotiations are normally kept secret. But this leaked out: Omtzigt regularly blows up, throws a temper tantrum and openly cries if he doesn’t get his way. Partners and negotiators were baffled by this behavior. Consequently, his party is doing pretty badly in the polls. That position elsewhere seems pretty attractive right now. Most people would like to see him as honorary consul in Tierra del Fuego or Bhutan.
The elections themselves were a watershed; the results destroyed the decade-old boycott against the PVV. Now we have just witnessed a true historical event: the progressive Left made themselves impossible. I have said it many times, and say it again: What is the difference between national and international socialism? The prefix ‘inter’.
I have no idea what the cabinet will look like, and who will be governing the country. It’s possible Wilders will say: Hold on folks! That deal of me remaining in Parliament is off. If you don’t like it, go for it. I’m more than happy to vote again.

I’m certainly happy to hear there’s a chance the Dutch will have a government it needs to survive, but being the older curmudgeon- I remain pessimistic that islam will not prevail.

Agree Jeff, Islam is gaining strength in every European country and is without doubt clearly marching towards political control in many areas and in particular in the United Kingdom. Very concerning.

Any moment now, here in uk all government and other bodies, like national rail is giving in to them whatever they want and even more. They have become unbelievably arrogant. On the rail notice board in Kings Cross London, they are posting ramadamadingdong preyer times followed by ominous quotes from the Koran, on the public train electronic notice board. They are attacking people eating in public. My small town local fish and chip shop have come out as hard core Turkish Muslims, the wife suddenly wearing her headscarf, the husband complaining about having to serve food. It’s here.
Islam would not be where it is today in the West, nor would Muslims be on the march towards conquest, without the explicit and implicit assistance of the globalists and their ruling class collaborators.
For over a thousand years, Christendom and the the West – they were all-but-synonymous during that age – mostly prevailed and held firm against repeated attacks from the Islamic world, apart from certain exceptions such as the conquest of the Iberian peninsula. But today, the Muslims are flooding into Old Europe and having their way.
Why are they having success today after being turned back so many times in the past? There are many possible answers – but one must surely be that they are getting help from within the West itself. Metaphorically-speaking, someone has furtively unlocked the gates to our civilization to admit our oldest-and-most-determined enemies.

I think the more salient problem is that, to paraphrase Jean-Francois Revel (referencing an unrelated subject), Islam offers the West conversation in exchange for concessions. They agree to talk if we agree to Islam’s expansion.

The Koran, Hadith and the Sira – the foundation of all Islamic (sharia) law and the basis by which devout Muslims live, specifically enjoins the believers to engage in fail treaties and truces with the kafirs (infidels) when it is suitable to the cause of Islam, and to break them as soon as they become unneeded.
There’s no real give-and-take or compromise – which are at least in the West, the basis of negotiations between adversaries or opponents.
So of what benefit are such meetings if the believers will not negotiate in good faith, and cannot be trusted by non-Muslims? None that I can see.
Such useless chit-chat may benefit politicians, but it doesn’t do anything to ease the plight of the common man who no longer recognizes the country in which he was born. Political theater, in other words, nothing more.
Churchill said it best about appeasement: “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
As far as I am concerned, there is no more salient point than the fact that those at the top of western societies have become turncoats are betraying their own civilization to its worst and most-determined enemy.
In fact, it is a toss-up which is the greater danger to us all – the Saracens or the Quislings inside the West helping them. The Muslims are at least honest about their intentions; the same cannot be said of the Quislings and fifth-columnists.
Negotiations are simply a way by which the believers can squeeze a few more bucks or favors out of terrified or corrupted westerners, while the believers regroup and reorganize for the next round of jihad and attacks.
Until such time as these meetings are again conducted from a position of western strength, they will accomplish nothing. That is because Islamic culture respects strength, or as Osama Bin Laden said, “the strong horse.” Weakness, prevarication and fear of the kind being shown by so many western “leaders” only embolden them all the more.

Unfortunately, I think we’ve allowed this tumor—now, one of several!—to metastasize far too long and grow too strong (and that presumes it doesn’t yet have The Bomb and the means to deliver it to US….even if on foot).
