A middle-school teacher in France has been threatened by culture-enrichers for showing her class a Renaissance painting featuring bare naked ladies.
The pupils told their parents, who were outraged that the teacher could so blatantly offend their children’s Islamic values. The only acceptable devout religious response was, of course, to threaten the teacher with death. The situation was so alarming that the minister of education paid a visit to the school in an attempt to pour oil on the turbulent waters.

It’s too bad Christians don’t react at all to their religion being slandered. Christianity is the ONLY belief system that has been demeaned consistently in popular culture, and not just in recent times (think of all the scenarios about evil preachers, cruel nuns, or “Bible-thumpers” who abuse their wives or children- has there ever been a story about a corrupt rabbi?).

There is an old saying in Eastern Europe, from the Middle Ages: “The poor die yellow, the rich die red”. Meaning that in the medieval period starvation and bad diet often resulted in liver diseases (yellow skin) for the peasants, while the rich often ate too much, which caused blood pressure problems (red skin) and they usually died of stroke.
