Culture Shock in Ourem

A young Iraqi culture-enricher in Portugal experienced a spell of culture shock that induced him to engage in a bit of knife jihad at an open-air restaurant. The report below doesn’t mention whether any “Allahu Akhbar” was involved.

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from the Portuguese daily Correio da Manhã:

An officer of the PSP [Public Safety Police] police force of Ourem was stabbed by an Iraqi man who was threatening several beer-drinking customers with a knife at an open-air restaurant near the Ourem courthouse.

The PSP was called to intervene, and the 29-year-old man continued his aggressive behavior, and lightly stabbed two officers, who were treated at the scene without having to go to the hospital, explained an official of the Santarem PSP command.

At the time, two other men were also identified as threatening and insulting some of the customers.

“At issue is culture shock, since the involved persons are taught that the consumption of alcohol in public places is not permitted,” a PSP source said.

The detained individual will stay in a PSP cell until brought to court to appear before a judge.

  1. Maybe it is time to ship these broken toys back to their Moslem homeland ,if they are in a constant state of jihad over simple everyday western customs. Give them a ham and cheese sandwich with a good bottle of beer to enjoy on their plane or boat ride back to boggieland.

  2. Am I going to dream about the day when Europeans wake up to the danger of suicide they brought it upon themselves, nay they bought it by paying jizya to their masters, the followers of the Pirate?
