Three years ago I reported on a ballsy guy named Marcel Bauersfeld who mounted a guerilla action in front of a mosque in the German town of Herford. Every Friday Mr. Bauersfeld would stand on the sidewalk in front of the mosque and bang on a tin pot or a cowbell while the muezzin was yodeling about Allah being greater and commanding that the kuffar be slaughtered.

Mr. Bauersfeld was eventually arrested and prosecuted. But now the notorious Islamophobe has achieved a partial victory in court.

With cowbells against muezzin: victory in court

Every Friday Marcel Bauersfeld stood in front of the mosque in Herford (D): “Armed” with a cowbell, pot and cooking spoon, he protested against the muezzin when he called to prayer. This brought the accusation of hate speech to the troublemaker.

Since 2020, Bauersfeld (40) has regularly ignited his “miniature culture war”, as Die Welt called it. On Fridays, when the muezzin of the DITIB* mosque called to prayer in the East Westphalian town of Herford, he positioned himself across from Bielefelder Strasse and got started. He tried to drown out the calls to Friday prayers with a cowbell or a pot with a wooden spoon: “I’m neither right-wing nor left-wing, but the muezzin just bothers me. That doesn’t belong here,” says Bauersfeld.

But the local SPD mayor saw it differently. He had approved the muezzin calls, and finally set the state authorities on Bauersfeld. The protester was arrested, the judiciary investigated for incitement to hatred, disruption of religious practice and resistance to law enforcement officials. The prosecutor charged him.

Hardly anything remained of the allegations

The process took ages. A prison sentence of up to three years was on the table, or a heavy fine. The court had even clarified through two expert opinions as to whether the muezzin’s call was an existential part of religious practice.

When even the Islamic scholars could not agree, the magistrate passed a Solomonic verdict that Bauersfeld celebrated as a victory. The allegations of incitement to hatred and disruption of the practice of religion were dropped because they were insignificant, and resistance to the state authority against a fine of €360 in favor of a non-profit organization was declared settled.

In Germany, the red-green breed is in power, and if you do something against Muslims they will lock you up right away as a right-wing extremist, and so, a cretin like that should never come to power. They love nothing more than to hunt down local people that protest against this insane invasion. In the meantime tens of thousands of criminal offenses, perpetrated by these thugs over the years, don’t seem to bother them at all. But put a pig’s head in front of a mosque at the entrance, or a bacon sandwich, then the state security rotates in overtime and in circles, and everything that breathes and snitches is activated to find this dangerous terrorist. But when graveyards are destroyed, the interior of a church is badly damaged or burned down by the Muslims, then they talk of a simple mistake or accident.

It is also amazing that only the State has given themselves the authority to use violence when attacking someone — especially a peaceful protester — but when that person defends himself against this attack — by shrugging off the hand of the policeman that grabs him/her — then that person is deemed a vile criminal, and in the meantime real violent criminals are treated with velvet gloves. Shows you on which site the State really is on, now, doesn’t it?

Also what is so “Solomonic” about this misjudgment? Church bells are banned because of noise pollution, but when the muezzin screeches his noise, that is considered great?
