Newsletter #192 — Tennessee and Sharia Law Can’t Coexist
A 2015 poll conducted by the Polling Company for the Center for Security Policy found that 51% of Muslims living in U.S. want sharia law to govern their lives.
The textbook “What Islam Is All About” used at Anoor Academy, the private Islamic school in Knoxville, says that an Islamic society governed by Islamic sharia law is best and that the way for Muslims to “become great again” is by “establishing the power of Islam in the world.”
The certified English translation of codified sharia law is easily accessible in the “Reliance of the Traveller, the Classic Manual of Sacred Islamic Law.” This compilation of sharia law was authenticated by both the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA)* and Al Azhar University in Cairo, the preeminent teaching center of sharia law. Al Azhar University is at the forefront of the Islamist movement by their training of Islamic radicals tied to the Muslim Brotherhood. It is an established institution known for the propagation of Islam and sharia as a complete way of life. Al Azhar’s leadership denounces secular Muslims but remains unwilling to renounce ISIS.
The Murfreesboro imam Osama Bahloul was trained at Al Azhar. Other imams in Tennessee, like Memphis imam Yasir Qadhi were trained in Saudi Arabia where sharia law is strictly enforced.
The political Islamist Paul “Iesa” Galloway, a former CAIR director, and is now Executive Director for AMAC (American Muslim Advisory Council) and ACO (American Center for Outreach), says if you want to know about Islam, ask a Muslim.

Below are excerpts from the Reliance of the Traveller about the Islamic sharia law that Paul “Iesa” Galloway and his Muslim community are supposed to be following.
Tennessee law versus sharia law (ROT citations are to Reliance of the Traveller)
Art. 1 Sec. 1 of the Tennessee Constitution
“All power is inherent in the people and all free governments are founded on their authority”…and they have the right at all times, “to alter, reform or abolish the government…”

A son and daughter of someone who dies without a will, will share equally in whatever part of the estate is left after the surviving spouse takes their statutory share.

Custody of minor children can be to one parent or to both jointly for what is in the “welfare and interest” of the child or children

Other rules under sharia law discordant with a free society

Sets out certain rules for non-Muslim dhimmis living in a Muslim-majority community. The rules include dressing in a way that distinguishes the non-Muslim from a Muslim, not walking on the same side of the street as a Muslim, not constructing any building higher than the Muslims’ buildings, being forbidden to openly display wine or pork or build new churches.
Memphis imam Yasir Qadhi (around 8:53), says “we are loyal to our countries insofar as it does not interfere with our religion of Islam.”
Sharia law tribunals like the one in Texas claim adjudication by them is “voluntary” but they follow the religion’s requirement to follow sharia law. Leftists, multi-culturalists and Islamist lawyers continue to push for including Islamic sharia family law in the U.S. legal system.
During a 2013 CAIR program Hassan Shibly, Exec. Dir. CAIR-Florida, said that “Muslims have more civil liberties in America than they do in any so-called Muslim countries.”
Finally, an admission about the repressive nature of Islamic Sharia law. So why does CAIR and every other Islamo-centric organization keep telling us that Sharia law is compatible with the U.S. Constitution?
Sharia law cannot be reconciled with Tennessee law. But laws can be changed both formally and informally if we allow it to happen.

I wonder how CAIR would like it if we all claimed to be muslims and started a new USA branch? Maybe the new branch would dictate that sharia outlawed in the US.
The link to the cited poll appears to be dead. In view of the major significance of the poll result (if accurate) I would have thought that arranging for the links to CSP to be robust would be a priority. Although it could be seriously slanted, the Wikipedia article on the Center For Security Policy.org does not encourage anyone to take this organization seriously.

Wiki entries are good for lots of things like science (not climate), math, chemistry, but NOT EVER for anything on the right side of the political spectrum. For politics, wiki is useless unless you’re a True Blue Believer.
CSP has been around for years and has done yeoman’s work on Islam, long before anyone else would touch it. Frank Gaffney broke the circle of silence on the so-called ‘conservative’ Grover Norquist when other conservatives wouldn’t touch the issue. They were pushing back against CAIR before anyone else dared go up against them.

Wikipedia’s strong leftward slant resulted in someone (Trevor Loudon, iirc) to start Conservapedia (if that’s the spelling) in the attempt to straighten out the record.

Surveys
Surveys can be interesting and informative, but Islam is not defined, or altered, by surveys. Islam is defined only by its source texts, the Koran, the Hadith (traditions) and the Sira (the biography of Mohammed). No deviation is permitted. No choice is available.
“The [muslim community] possesses no power except to acknowledge and obey”, said Dr. Salah al-Sawy, Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA), 28 March 2011, in a “fatwa” citing the Koran, which is part of Islamic Law:
“It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path” [33:36].

Sharia
Media commentators speak of Sharia as something extra, or optional, to Islam, that can be voted on, or “supported”.
What is the difference between Islam and Sharia?

Sharia, “the Path” in Arabic, is the body of rules derived from Islam’s source texts.
There’s been no change to Islamic doctrine or exegesis, which is what the average non-Muslim fails to see since they assume that Islam had its age of reason already just like the west, but the surveys do tell us something about how “seriously” Islam is being taken by self-identified Muslims.
If the number of Muslims advocating sharia law were to drop from 50% to 20% then it only suggests that fewer Muslims take Islam seriously, but it doesn’t indicate that Islam itself is changing.
The first line should actually read –

The true figure would obviously be far higher than 51%.

As an oprnly gay and openly athrist person, I can’t exist under Sharia law,..They won’t let me even live! I guess My head would be cut of twice.
We have just had the 800th annaversery of the Magna Carta. But if what’s going on un Europe statrs happening, here we could lose these hard earnd rights in 25 years.
If that can be of any consolation I think most people’s head would fall under sharia law. They don’t seem to be able to stand much : no rights for women, gays, children, other religious or spiritual beliefs, arts, alcohol.
What a sad time we’re living in.

Who inserted that “[ie, the 5 pillars]”? This disagrees with

which says the five pillars are: shahada (faith), salat (prayer), zakat (charity), sawm (Ramadan fasting), hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). The unlawfulness of wine and adultery is not one of the five pillars. At this point, the reader is entitled to stop reading, having found that the annotator got something so basic so wrong.
The reference to “day-care center” (in ROT m13.3) in the translation of this document (‘Umdat al-Salik) from the 14th century sounds anachronistic. And in

page 552, there is no Arabic shown for m13.3. Did the “translator” Nu Ha Mim Keller just make this part up?
My general complaint with Reliance of the Traveller is that no citations to Islamic scripture are given. For example, what aya or hadith justifies the adverb “immediately” in o8.2 (referring to the killing of an apostate)?
As far as their number will grow the % of ones who openly demand sharia will rise.
And it is already 51% (who know how many used takiya in this poll )….. it is a really bad sign.
If they want to “return to greatness” the best thing these folks could do is renounce their ways and join right-thinking people everywhere who condemn that mode of living because they realize there are so many good, righteous things this world has to offer.
It’s not just the Constitution of Tennessee that is in direct conflict with Islam an Sharia, it’s the U.S. Constitution, too!
Why do the leaders of this world seem to be totally blind to the reality that faithful Muslims who immigrate to western nations will NOT assimilate into non-Muslim cultures? They CANNOT…and still be faithful Muslims (i.e., followers of the Qur’an and Sharia law).
This is the key concept that so many countries are naively ignoring today. The crux of the Islamic culture is totally anathema to our Constitution’s inherent focus on: 1) the separation of powers that are designed to RESTRICT government overreach; and, 2) emphasizing the supremacy of individual rights. (And, to some degree, these basic constitutional provisions are somewhat similar to those in all western democratic countries.)
For this reason, and because there was a general “separation” of God’s and man’s laws (and the enforcement thereof) in all of the home countries, America was able to accept immigrants from Ireland, Italy, Japan, China, and Viet Nam…and even Israelis living in Europe and Russia. Why? Because the 1st Amendment to our Constitution guaranteed them the free practice of their religion, so long as it did not violate OUR civil law! Essentially, immigrants could assimilate WITHOUT losing their cultural identity. However, Muslims can’t DO that…and still remain faithful to Allah and his “prophet!”
In Muslim countries, the basis of all “civil” law IS religious law. They are one in the same! Violations of religious law are adjudicated in religious courts; and serious penalties are imposed for what we would deem minor infractions. Their cultural identity is embodied in Sharia, and their belief system dictates that Islamic law supersedes ALL civil laws. They are taught that no other beliefs are acceptable, that all other cultures are subservient, and that they are authorized to impose, thru coercion or force (Jihad), their culture and their religious tenets on ANYONE that is a non-believer (i.e., an infidel). Hence, since Muslims will NEVER assimilate, we would be very, very foolish to ever let them immigrate to America!
There’s a lot of reason’s I relocated from NY to TN. This is merely one of them. After having lived here among natives for 6-mos., I am quite pleased to say I do not fear THIS part of the country changing. These are a very proud, Christian people, who care not for political correctness and other infections that have destroyed swaths of our country. This is America, and you can be damned sure it’s going to stay that way.
