In the Netflix fantasy world, criminals in Berlin must be native Germans, and never culture-enrichers. The reality of life on the streets of Berlin doesn’t matter — only the PC narrative is allowed.

Politically correct Netflix censorship: German perpetrators instead of criminal migrants

Netflix actually wanted to film the bestseller “Sun and Concrete” by the German comedian Felix Lobrecht. But in times of “sensitive reading”, cancel culture and strict political correctness, what happened was what had to happen: the streaming provider demanded changes to the script. For example, no criminal migrants were allowed to appear in it. [It’s supposed to be fiction, and reality should not intrude.]

In their place, Netflix would rather have a German — and also lesbian — girlie group. “Sensitive content” was also allegedly revised in other passages and seemed to have been redlined.

“Deep into woke lunacy”

As Die Welt reports, Lobrecht reacts in horror: “The fiction department at Netflix is completely crazy. They’re really deep into this woke lunacy,” the newspaper quotes him saying. The company’s strict line was particularly disappointing for him because Netflix had broadcast his past comedy program “Hype”.

However, there was no collaboration for his current program “All you can eat”. In his podcast “Gemischtes Hack/Mixed Minced Meat” (together with Tommi Schmitt), Lobrecht mentioned that Netflix wanted to pay less than for his “Hype” show — even though he was much less known back then.

Content distorted

But the worst thing was the changes to the literary template for “Sonne und Beton/Sun and Concrete”, which distorted the entire content of the book — that typical Berlin migrants were to be turned into German perpetrators and girls.

“What kind of girl gang? What kind of German gangsters?”, says Lobrecht angrily. “Imagine, Hakan and Hamudi are standing on the corner of Sonnenallee and suddenly Holger and Jens come along. Are you crazy? It’s just nuts!” The film adaptation isn’t happening — and the comedian finally decided to finance his new comedy program himself.

I wondered: what’s supposed to be new about this? The German public broadcasters have been doing this for several years already. An ostrich with its head in the sand has more common sense than these media outlets. Hear no evil — of the migrants, speak no evil — of the migrants, and see no evil — the migrants perpetrate. Bury it instead under a load of hogwash, a.k.a. Politically Correct Dialectic, is what’s in their job description. Do not apply if you have a conscience and love for your country.

  1. This could be made into a parody that most of the populace could pretty easily see through.

    All the orcs could be cast as traditional germans in lederhosen, pigtails, and blonde as Schicklgruber’s wet dreams. Of course they’re doing orc things such as selling drugs, running kebab shops, gang raping hijab’d females, throwing grenades at each other, and hacking passers-by with machetes, and speaking terrible german or various barbarian yawps.

    And their victims and just about everyone else in the show is a diverse person-of-color, cleanly dressed and groomed, and speaking flawless german.

    The inversion would be immediately obvious to viewers, and the point would be made in a plausibly deniable way. After all, what could the censors find fault with in a show where every villian is more Aryan than a Waffen SS brigade?

  2. Do you recall the original “Death Wish”? The assailants that ignite Charles Bronson’s revenge spree were a nicely balanced mix of (I believe- haven’t seen it in decades) one black guy, one white (Jeff Goldblum, no less!), and one Hispanic. Very realistic! (Well, today they’d have three white guys raping a transgender!) If you want to go back further, “Charge of the Light Brigade” (1935) had the heroes state that they don’t hate all Moslems, only the one who was the particular villain in the story, and even DeMille’s “The Crusades” (1936) had to whitewash the very reason for the actual historical Crusades! You see, Hollywood product was very popular (and profitable) in the Middle East back then. Times are much worse now, of course, but the pandering always existed in one form or another.

    • Street gangs were more equal opportunity back in the 80’s I guess. Bronson shooting The Giggler was the best part of that entire franchise. One would assume that women would wise up and stop marrying Bronson since they all wound up dead after being brutally gang raped.

  4. Russia was also affected by this disease. Recently, the film “Products24” was shot based on a real incident that occurred in Moscow.
    It was about store owners who kept people from Central Asia as slaves. In addition to working in the store, the store owner forced the slaves to copulate and then sold the children somewhere. Slave owners were also people from Central Asia. Then these slaves were rescued by Russian volunteers.
    And in the film, shot by a director from Uzbekistan (though with a Russian name, he looks like a half-breed), the slave owner is Russian, not Asian.
