One of the mujahideen who slaughtered the priest in Normandy yesterday was a known terrorist who had been previously imprisoned, and then released with an electronic bracelet.
Many thanks to Ava Lon for translating this brief news report from French TV, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:
|0:00||We have some information on one of the two assailants, who was visually recognized by the police|
|0:07||because obviously his parents live in this city.|
|0:12||His identity still has to be confirmed by his fingerprints;|
|0:17||but he has been recognized, and he had actually tried to go and fight jihad in 2015.|
|0:24||However, he was apprehended at the border by the Turkish authorities,|
|0:29||who then returned him to France. He was imprisoned in 2015,|
|0:33||and released wearing an electronic bracelet in March 2016.|
|0:40||The anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office appealed|
|0:43||the release with an electronic bracelet — to no avail.
