A few days ago, just after Hungary closed and fortified its border crossings with Serbia, a crowd of “refugees” stormed the new fence, breaking down a gate and attempting to climb over into Hungary. They were met with pepper spray and tear gas, and the photos of people choking and coughing were what made the media news reports — especially clips in which women and children were visible.
However, if you examine the raw footage from those incidents (RT is the best source), you’ll notice that more than 80%, perhaps 90%, of the rioters at the border were fit young men. In the unedited footage you can hear them chant “Allahu akhbar”, although this has been omitted from or edited out of most clips shown on MSM outlets.
There were active agitators at the front of the crowd, next to the fence. These kinetic activists were apparently shouting instructions and encouragement to their fellow migrants as they attempted to breach the fence. At least one of the leaders was carrying a megaphone while riding on another man’s shoulders:
Our Hungarian correspondent Dzsihádfigyelő writes to say that the police are now actively searching for the ringleaders of the attack on the border crossing. They stated that the attack against the state border was an act of terrorism, and they want to find the leaders of the crowd. The police website posted the following appeal in Hungarian, English, German, and Arabic:

The crazy leftish prime minister of Croatia pushed the invaders on Hungary. Now they stream through the Croatian-Hungarian border (there is a 41 km line where they can come; the other part of the border is a river). Orbán said that we will build a fence here too. They started yesterday and finished the first line (NATO fence) and they started to built the 3m fence. A few days and it will be ready, and I guess we will close this border too.

This is an invasion. Looking at those pictures the first thought I had was siege of Eger 1552.
Schengen requires that external borders be protected otherwise the free movement principle, not to mention security, within the EU is endangered.

Now when Hungary is trying to fulfill its obligations instead of help she is getting condemnation. Either the EU laws mean something or they don’t. If they do not apply to large numbers of people seeking to gain illegal entry then what is the point of making border countries try to protect the EUs external borders? If large numbers of migrants can successfully bully and threaten their way into the EU then the Schengen zone requirements are meaningless. Either the rule of law means something or it does not.
If they are rewarded for their bullying tactics what will happen when they settle in their ‘chosen land’ and object to laws there? Will they riot? March in large groups demanding their own way? I think I know the answer…
The Hungarians are only doing it half right. If the migrants think that they are home free if they get past the fence, then the fence will not stop them. Hungary (and all other nations) need to start aggressively deporting anyone they find without a visa, no exceptions. The migrants need to get the clear message that all they will ever get for their efforts is a one way ticket back home.

There’s an excellent painting by Ilya Repin that is worth a look – it depicts the drafting of the reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks to the ultimatum of Sultan Mehmed IV of the Ottoman Empire. I guess the decendents of these men are again defending Europe’s Eastern border while the men of the West are leaving everything to hope.

I don’t know; maybe that reporters were given some leeway so as to catch “the bigger picture,” as they say?
It means that a lot of video was taken there, from both sides. Those are stills from video clips, as far as I know.
