Not surprisingly, these rejected asylum seekers were living in Germany illegally at they time they engaged in their youthful high jinks.

Gang rape: Accused asylum seeker has 11 identities, his accomplice has five

Last June there was a rape in Görlitzer Park [in Berlin]. Several rejected asylum seekers allegedly attacked a 27-year-old. Charges have now been approved against the three, all of whom are in the country illegally and some of whom have up to 11 different identities.

Crime in Görlitzer Park repeatedly makes ugly headlines. However, reports of an alleged gang rape by several members of the drug scene last June were particularly noticeable. According to the indictment, a Georgian couple is said to have bought cocaine in Berlin-Kreuzberg and then made themselves comfortable on the lawn.

They were subsequently attacked by several men, and over €1,200 was allegedly stolen from the man, while the perpetrators beat the 27-year-old woman and mother of two and gang-raped her.

In September the public prosecutor’s office brought charges, which have now been admitted to the main hearing by the regional court, but an exact date is not yet known. Three men without residence permits, who are known to the police, must answer for the crime. According to the indictment, 21-year-old Osman B. is said to have used ten other names. The Somali came to Germany in 2016, is listed seven times in the Federal Central Criminal Register, and although his residence permit has expired, Osman B. has not yet had to fear any penalties for not having a place of residence.

Boubacar B. also appeared under false names and is said to have four other identities, according to Die Welt. According to the Federal Central Register extract, Boubacar B. has nine entries, including for drug trafficking. The Guinean has been living in Germany since 2017, but because his asylum application was “incontestably” rejected, the 22-year-old is not registered anywhere, has no permanent address and is said to have traveled alone to Germany, where he was initially accommodated in Wismar and later in Berlin.

The third member of the group is Mountaga D., also Guinean, but with acquiescence. His asylum application was rejected, but the 22-year-old has been living in an assisted living facility ever since. He has also been registered three times. The incident was probably the decisive impulse for the decision to build a fence around Görlitzer Park. The structure was actually supposed to be completed by the beginning of 2024, but the start of construction has now been postponed and instead the park will remain closed at night.

What is dangerous, in the “Best Germany of all Time”, is when 70-year-old pensioners have thoughts of a coup. Or when a native German doesn’t pay a traffic fine or the TV license.
