Culture-Enriching Random Stabbing in Rome

We’ve become accustomed to seeing reports like this in Milan, but this one comes from Rome: a Moroccan migrant slashed a young Italian with a knife for no apparent reason.

Many thanks to HeHa for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes and RAIR Foundation for the subtitling:

Video transcript:

00:00   Look at this! Every night he would pass by here,
00:03   a very quiet boy, definitely, without any problems.
00:07   A very quiet boy, a 32-year-old man,
00:12   who today, however, struggles between life and death.
00:15   He was stabbed for no apparent reason
00:18   by a 29-year-old Moroccan citizen of no fixed abode, last night,
00:22   while he was out with a friend. That man approached the boy to ask for information.
00:27   He was holding a yellow rose, and had a knife in his pockets.
00:30   He pulled out the blade and slashed him across the neck.
00:33   It was supposed to be a night like many others, yesterday night, here in Piazza Bologna,
00:37   a university district that by night is enlivened by young people,
00:40   when a 29-year-old man of Moroccan origin arrived here,
00:43   on Via Michele di Lando. He was coming from that road over there.
00:48   He had a knife with him
00:51   and had already threatened the passengers of a bus.
00:55   He got off the bus and approached the two boys,
00:58   asking for information on where Rome Termini station was.
01:01   He was dressed in white and had the sweatshirt hood on.
01:05   Then he started shaking the rose he was holding.
01:08   The two boys tried to get away, but the man pounced on one of them, stabbing him in the throat,
01:14   and then tried to escape. The victim’s friend tried to follow him,
01:17   but slipped and lost his tracks. The police arrested him shortly afterwards,
01:22   on a charge of attempted murder. We witnessed this scene.
01:26   There were both the police and Carabinieri. The boy was on his knees. —He was sitting.
01:30   He was dressed in white. He was in a daze.
01:33   He was very scared.

  1. The reason can be found in the Koran or is it Quran. Nice to see that the mental illness defense seems to have disappeared thanks to Hamas or is it a different peaceful branch of Islam.
