Gerald Grosz is an Austrian politician for the BZÖ (Bündnis Zukunft Österreich, Alliance for the Future of Austria) and the FPÖ (Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs, Austrian Freedom Party). I’ve featured several of his videos in the past, most recently here.
In the following video from the Austrian program “Fellner! LIVE” Mr. Grosz holds forth about the upcoming “second lockdown” in Austria due to the coronavirus.
|00:02||I will soon stop discussing it. We have a country of 8.9 million people.|
|00:07||We’ve tested more than a million people already,|
|00:11||a million tests, since the announcement on March 13.|
|00:14||Test, test, test [unintelligible babble]|
|00:17||and now we have roughly 2,000 infected,|
|00:21||and of 8.9 million people,|
|00:24||one million tests, and 2,000 infected|
|00:27||where the virus probably just broke out with 20 people|
|00:30||with 11 people in intensive care,|
|00:33||and 24 occupying hospital beds.|
|00:36||After we already have thousands of empty hospital beds, the Chancellor comes|
|00:39||and threatens us with a second lockdown. And you hop after him like the Easter Bunny and say:|
|00:43||Yes, the second lockdown, the second lockdown is coming.|
|00:46||And at the same time I try explain to you that the economy in Austria has dropped by 12.8%.|
|00:51||[Unintelligible] Cassandras like you, because it sounds so beautiful…|
|00:55||Cassandras like you, who conjure up the end of the world,|
|00:59||you are, you are the Oracle at Delphi,|
|01:02||who tells us every day that the sun will fall on us.
