A court in the former DDR threw the book at a long-time Afghan resident, sentencing him to four years in prison for raping a senior citizen.

What kind of country is this, when something like this is possible? An Afghan who should have been deported 21 years ago rapes an 83-year-old woman.
by Eugen Prinz
On Thursday (July 2, 2020), the Leipzig Regional Court sentenced 47-year-old Afghan Hamid A., a rejected asylum seeker, to four years in prison for rape.
The crime is hard to beat in terms of its repulsiveness, as the victim is an 83-year-old German senior citizen from Delschitz who suffers from age-related hearing loss. The senior citizen, Christiane B., went through the railway underpass near the station on her way home in the early evening of January 9. Due to her hearing impairment, she did not notice that Hamid B. was following her and waiting for a favourable opportunity.
Rape without regard to the old woman’s facial injuries
In the underpass he brutally pushed the old woman to the ground from behind. The senior citizen hit the asphalt with her face. According to the indictment, she was immediately in tremendous pain. The elderly woman’s dentures broke due to the impact.
The rejected asylum seeker, who had 2.0 g/l blood alcohol content at the time of the crime, was not interested in the pain and injuries of the elderly woman. He raped her.
Lacking intelligence and a tendency to lie
While the Afghan, who was certified in a preliminary report as “lacking intelligence” and had a tendency to lie pathologically, confessed to the crime during the police interrogation, but he suddenly claimed in court that he had only wanted to help the woman up.
The verdict is not yet final. Both the defendant and the public prosecutor’s office can appeal it within one week.
Governmental impotence that endangers citizens
If what you have read so far was bad enough, in view of decades of governmental impotence and the failure of authority, now it has become even more criminal:
Research by the BILD [tabloid] brought to light the fact Hamid A.’s asylum application had been rejected 21 years ago (!), on April 29 1999. He is still here because the responsible foreigners authority in Chemnitz had issued a “Duldung” (temporary residence) at that time and extended it twelve times. The last temporary residence expired in November 2019. This raises the question: why is he still here, and why did he get the opportunity to rape the a senior citizen in January 2020?
The immigration authorities knew exactly what kind of rotten egg Hamid A. was, and allowed him to remain in the Federal Republic of Germany. Hamid A. had 25 counts on his criminal record, including assault, theft and in 2016 two years imprisonment for child abuse. Yes, you read it correctly: Child molestation.
And yet he is still here, endangering the population — and the Chemnitz immigration department just watched it happen.
Even though Hamid A. has no papers whatsoever and has always given different aliases and dates of birth, there was really enough time to find ways and means to get rid of him. That, of course, requires the will to do so. This was obviously not present.
The next scandal is the verdict, which is not yet final. With the four-year prison sentence, the Leipzig Regional Court comes in below the four years and seven months sentence requested by the public prosecutor’s office.
This kind of sentence forces everyone to ask: what is going on in the minds of judges that impose a merciful sentence for someone who already has been charged with crimes 25 times and convicted of child abuse just a few years ago?
What happened here can no longer be classified as grossly negligent behaviour on the part of the government, the authorities and the judiciary. This is a deliberate endangerment of the citizens of this country.
A few words about the victim
Christiane B. was born in 1937. She belongs to the generation that rebuilt Germany after the war. As a Central German, she also had to endure the GDR (DDR) regime. She truly deserved better than something like this to happen to her in the twilight of her life. It is hard to imagine how Christiana B. feels. The physically and mentally anguish this crime has caused her or how much it has spoiled the last years of life she still has left in this world. The senior citizen truly deserved more than becoming a casualty of the savagery from an immigrant who shouldn’t even have been here to begin with.
Hamid A. had helpers. They are found in the government and in the local authorities.
