Angelo Ciocca Gets Rebuked by the President of the European Parliament

Last week we posted a video of an Italian MEP for the Lega Nord named Angelo Ciocca. In the wake of the Islamic terror attack in Strasbourg (in which an Italian reporter was shot, and later died), Mr. Ciocca stood up on the floor of the European Parliament, held up a yellow vest, and called on his fellow MEPs to “Wake up! Wake up!”

The video below shows what happened immediately after Mr. Ciocca’s speech. The man rebuking him for his bad manners is his compatriot, Antonio Tajani, who serves as the president of the European Parliament.

Many thanks to FouseSquawk for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

Video transcript:

00:00   I join the protest. And I tell you, “Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
00:11   Honorable Ciocca, Honorable Ciocca,
00:15   I beg you. Today is not the day to make displays of propaganda.
00:33   Honorable… Let me speak like I let you speak!
00:37   Sit down immediately! Sit down immediately!
00:41   So… Honorable Ciocca, sit down
00:45   OK.
00:51   Honorable Ciocca, if you had been present this morning
00:56   in the chamber, you would have listened more, and you would know more
01:01   than that… Honorable… It is a question of good manners.
01:05   You are ill-mannered if you interrupt one who is speaking.
01:08   Learn good manners and remain at your post.
01:12   I repeat: This is not a circus. There are victims and respect the victims. Don’t make propaganda…

  1. The EU parliament is a circus. A circus of a very bad taste. A circus whose highly paid employees mock and deride the peoples of Europe. As far as I am concerned, I am sick and tired of this lunatic asylum.

  2. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah……………………..
    I get it now.
    It’s ALL ABOUT “manners”.

(would you please, kindly and gently, alight from your cattle cars………………….)
