Below are three COVID-related articles from Europe, all published in German by PolitikStube and translated by Hellequin GB. Two of them concern the use of propaganda about the Wuhan Coronavirus in the service of political and governmental power. The third is more upbeat: Denmark has set a date to abandon all Corona measures and resume normal life.
The first article features sensible remarks on COVID-19 by the leftist German politician Oskar Lafontaine:

The politicians who conclude such contracts are the real Covidiots. The mRNA technology was also advanced through the state-funded basic research and the development of the vaccines was promoted with hundreds of millions. Pfizer / BioNTech now expects profits of $33.5 billion this year. The least would have been if repayments to the state had been agreed in the event of exorbitant profits — not to mention the tragedy of the release of patents to the developing countries, which get what is not needed in the affluent countries.
The recommendation of the health ministers of the federal states to offer vaccines to children and adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age falls under the abuse of power and megalomania. What are these amateur political actors actually thinking of? Unlike the manufacturer, do you know the long-term effects of the vaccine, and do you already know that the vaccine will not have any undesirable effects? It is a bright spot in these times, when many have forgotten how to think clearly, that there are people out there who publish the gag contracts with Pfizer / BioNTech, and that there are scientists on the Standing Vaccination Commission and pediatricians who are willing to take the pressure of the pharmaceutical lobbyists and resist the politicians who are intoxicated with Covid.

Denmark is preparing to return to normal life. They also have no Lauterbach, Spahn, Wieler, Drosten and, above all, no Merkel.

The Parliament in Copenhagen recently decided that all Corona measures should be ended from October 1st. There will therefore no longer be a mask requirement and the test regime will be abolished. The Danes will then no longer have to provide evidence of whether they are vaccinated or unvaccinated, or whether they have tested positive or negative.
All Corona measures are being discontinued in view of the increasing incidence figures in Denmark. Since the beginning of July this number has risen from 31 to 107.2 (as of August 8). At the same time, the upper limits of this Corona indicator is being increased significantly. In municipalities the incidence limit rises from 300 to 500, in districts the value even doubles from 500 to 1,000. However, the prerequisite is that the hospitals can treat the presumably expected increasing numbers of COVID-19 patients without any problems, without bottlenecks in the security of the health system.
Overall, the current vaccination rate is just under 58.4 percent of fully vaccinated people in Denmark. In Germany, this number is only slightly lower at 54.5 percent (as of August 8).
