“Wild-Eyed, Angry and Middle Eastern”: Eight Dead in Toronto

Vlad Tepes is reporting on a rented van in Toronto, which swerved onto the sidewalk, mowing down pedestrians at a fast clip:

BREAKING: Possible truck of peace in Toronto

Vlad posted a tweet from someone else, who said:

Witness to truck ramming into pedestrians tells local Toronto TV station that the driver looked wide-eyed, angry and Middle Eastern.

Here’s a video:

And Vlad editorializes:

“It may well be the first day of jihad season now in Canada.”

Sadly, I think he’s right. Spring arrives and people are out enjoying the nice weather. A perfect opportunity for killers.

  1. Apparently the driver has been arrested, but they don’t give a name or other details.

I would take that to mean that it’s more likely to be Mohammad or Abdul than John or Peter. It’s what they *don’t* say that often says enough.

    • According to this French Canadian site his name is Alek Minassian 25, his photo can be seen 0:17 seconds into the vid [left bottom]

  2. Alert !Hi Dymphna..

  3. Has anyone else noted that all of the pressies are referring to the vehicle as a “white Ryder van?” Not a van, not a rented van, not a Ryder van, but a “white” Ryder van.

    • Noticed that. In some articles they repeat ” white van ” several times, instead of using it once as a first description, and then just saying ” van ” or ” vehicle ” afterwards.

      Spooky.

  4. Armenian

Alek Minassian, 25, posted on his personal Facebook page that the “rebellion has already begun” for incels — someone who was involuntarily celibate — and hailed Elliot Rodger, a 22-year-old who killed six people in a 2014 vehicle and shooting rampage near the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Rodger had referred to himself as an “incel” before carrying out the mass killing because he was sexually frustrated. He later committed suicide.

Facebook on Tuesday confirmed the message, posted early Monday just before the deadly attack, was made by Minassian.

    Appears very not islamic

  5. I forgot to add:

I have followed the problems with islam for 2 decades and am quite islam-aware

I also thought this one would be islamic … it had the M.O. of the cultural enrichers

However, unless a surprise comes out of nowhere, seems it was not islamic.
