Despite being vaxed and double-boosted, German Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (our German translator Hellequin GB calls him “Klaboosterbach”) has tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19. Fortunately, he is reportedly experiencing only mild symptoms, so worried German citizens may breathe a sigh of relief.

|00:04||He is doing well. The health minister is now in domestic isolation and is working from there.|
|00:10||Mr. Lauterbach has been vaccinated four times. From the ministry’s point of view,|
|00:14||this shows that an infection with the highly contagious Omicron variant|
|00:18||cannot be ruled out, even with the utmost caution.|
|00:22||Health Minister Lauterbach is repeating his appeal to vaccinate, in order to prevent as many|
|00:26||infections and severe cases as possible. He emphasized that it’s important|
|00:30||to behave prudently by getting vaccinated. The SPD politician has repeatedly warned|
|00:35||about Corona and that in autumn other highly contagious variants may possibly appear.
