Video transcript:
00:00 | It is said that the president of the republic, Sergio Mattarella has vetoed the nomination of
00:05 | Paolo Savona as minister of economy. If the news were confirmed,
00:09 | it would be incredible, because the truth is
00:12 | that there is no rule in the Italian Constitution that allows the president of the republic
00:15 | to refuse to nominate a minister solely because he doesn’t share his ideas.
00:20 | And if this news were confirmed, it would be dramatically evident
00:25 | that President Mattarella is too much influenced by the interests of foreign nations.
00:30 | Therefore, the Brothers of Italy, in the case where this veto has impeded
00:35 | the formation of a new government, will call on the Italian Parliament to bring charges
00:42 | of high treason against the president of the republic according to Article 90 of the Constitution
00:45 | because [of] people who act in the interests of foreign nations,
00:50 | not of the Italian [people], we have already seen far too much. |
Treason it certainly may be but this class are not answerable or accountable and so such calls will, all to sadly, be nothing more than a hoped for wish.
Even President Trump cannot progress the accounting of Hillary etc (yet?).
