I received the following email a little while ago. As far as I can tell, based on its, ahem, choice of nomenclature, it’s from the same person whose comments I always delete because they contain too many expletives, obscenities, vulgarities, and blasphemies to redact.

I’ve redacted this one as little as possible, because I want to make sure all of our readers are able to appreciate the subtleties of his/her/zer rhetoric.

And I’ve included the sender’s email address because… Well, just because:

    These people are so tediously predictable. Does anyone know why they are inevitably stuck in elementary school badinage?

    • I know. Because they never read anything after elementary school. Teachers had to pass them or be removed from job.

      By comparison, my badinage has evolved with time to US PhD-level. That doesn’t help my posts get published.

  4. Clearly the email was sent by a full blown nutjob who is probably being kept in his grandma’s basement under lock and key because even his own momma hates him. But I did enjoy the Baron’s delicate substitutions, such as “maternal incest enactor”.

    • A rejection of that type of language is a rejection of the culture that created it. The author of the letter needs to unlearn some bad behavior. You will never defeat evil things by becoming more evil than the source. That is the road to Hell.

  8. Charming. Erudition is obviously not its forte and exposition a profound mystery. A limited vocabulary, Tourette syndrome and a double chin do not help those so afflicted either.

    Sometimes it seems to me that people cannot write like this and these statements come from chatbots made by Tajik migrants.

  16. What saves us a little is that this type of language becomes so boring within a few sentences that we put it away….the banality of gutter talk.

    I used to be a big fan of Bosch when (much) younger; even had a poster of this painting on my wall. As with Dali, I’ve outgrown him; Dali was very self-obsessed, and Bosch (modern scholarship informs us) was taking the piss.

    Fine (if misapplied) craftsmanship in both cases, though.

    • I figured if this post stayed up long enough we’d get some strange accusation or other. It’s usually around comment 25 or so that such arrive…and here you are, bristling with weapons against those doomed fish-eaters.

      We live in a place where there aren’t any Catholics. No Jews, either. Or Lutherans. [Or latte. I belong to the one true church of caffeine.]

      Your willingness to pass judgment on who TRUE Christians is an indicator of…oh, never mind. It’s your mind and you have to live in it.

      BTW, a friend told me the other day that she’s a Catholic but not a Papist. Heh.

    • Are we sure it’s a ‘he’. There’s some pretty wierd combinations out and about these days and mental aberations know no boundaries.
