Vlad was exaggerating a little bit — there was no lightning strike, but a huge limb did drop from our big old mimosa tree onto the phone line, and took us completely out of service for a day. Yesterday was clear and sunny with no wind, and the limb wasn’t even completely dead. Apparently it just got tired of hanging on up there, and decided to let go.

I’ve got some catching up to do — hundreds of emails! — but eventually normal posting will resume.
