Just to keep you all updated. Tommy was verbally abused on the wing by Muslims, although they are being referred to as Asians! The Governor and all the Wardens were pre-warned about Tommy being brought to Bedford and the situation that could arise, that’s a joke in itself.
Tommy was escorted to the Food Hall where there was a queue and was immediately met with a torrent of verbal abuse and threats. Whilst waiting in the queue some of the other inmates attacked him, he suffered minor injuries i.e. black eyes and bruising. Tommy was immediately taken to the block and the inmates that attacked him have had no punishment levied against them.
Tommy has not eaten for 3 days, as they will only serve him Halal food.

Advice about sending Tommy money, from another source in the UK:
Money should be sent by postal order, and addressed to the governor of whichever prison, but include the prisoner number on the postal order and accompanying letter. That way, it won’t matter to what prison mail is sent to. If he’s been moved, it will be forwarded on to him, and reach him eventually.
The assault doesn’t surprise me in the least. The screws really don’t want to be guarding him, so I’m not surprised if they contribute to making these sorts of incidents happen, so that he’s moved.
Readers should know that “Asian” is a term with a different meaning in the UK from that used in the USA. ‘Asian’ means Moslems, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, etc. There are a LOT of Moslems (from all over) and Indians, but relatively few Chinese or Japanese in the UK. The term “Asian” has been used this way in the UK since the 1970s FYI – and everyone there knows it means not native European, nor Asian from the Far East, African, or Hispanic.

Hate to ask this…what does WOG exactly mean?? I knew a fellow in the RAF back in 1980s and he called the muslims WOGS.
“Wog” was once a widely-used derogatory British term for non-European foreigners. It was still common when I lived in England in the 1960s. It was considered slightly vulgar then, but not at all forbidden. Now it is absolutely unacceptable; a person who uses it may risk arrest under a “Section 5”
Pakis, Indians, Jamaicans, Arabs, Chinese, and Africans were all wogs. For the real xenophobes, the humorous saying was that “Wogs begin at Calais.” And in Yorkshire we went that one better: “Wogs begin at Settle.”
WOG stands for Western Oriental Gentleman. I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve read somewhere that it was also used sarcastically to stand for Wise Oriental Gentleman.

I still use the term to describe muslims and shall continue to do so. I have nothing but contempt for the ideology and there is very little we can do in the UK to express this.

Yes. I remember being told by my father, who served in the Armed Forces in Egypt, that it stood for Western Oriental Gentleman. When I pressed him further he then went on to give me names for Italians, Americans, the French etc. It was common-place Armed Forces lingo.
Dear Baron, this again refers to freedom of speech. Use and meaning of language change over time. One would not like to call a person a liar, a cheat or a cad. So one resorts to coded speech or Cockney rhyming slang. People then use euphemisms. Hence, he’s a wily, oriental gentlemen. An innocuous statement on the surface meaning be careful. You are lying, you know that I know you are lying.

This is in your face [excremental material]. He is in prison. He will get a menu choice on a weekly basis which lets him choose his meals for the week ahead. The food that he chooses is what he gets.

Which tells them that the authorities are scared of their reaction. Which will embolden them. Appeasement of Muslims produced the “scandals” in Rotherham, Rochdale and Oxford. And there are plenty more “scandals” on the way.
