Angry Swedes Drive Roma out of Town

During the recent riots in the suburbs of Stockholm, groups of native Swedes banded together to try to stop the violence, and were themselves suppressed by police.

Just before the riots began, a similar process had been at work in the village of Storfors, but in this case the citizens’ actions were directed at Roma (gypsies) who were perceived as a dangerous nuisance. The article doesn’t mention the ethnicity of the people who were run out of town, but evidently Swedes are able to read between the lines.

Our Swedish correspondent Lynx Viridis has translated an article about the incident that was published on 19 May in Aftonbladet. He says:

People in the village of Storfors in Värmland in Sweden decided to take the law in their own hands. This after several weeks of theft, illegal driving and threats from members of the Roma family living in the house.

The translated article.

Mob threatened family

The villagers had started to get annoyed by a family who recently moved in — tonight they were going to take the law in their own hands. At midnight a mob of about thirty people gathered outside the family’s house.

“It was a threatening atmosphere,” says Morgan Connedal from the police in the province of Värmland.

The family moved to Storfors in eastern Värmland just about a month ago, but several people living there were already disturbed about them.

“They think they [the family] are guilty of vandalizing cars and disturbed public order. There are several incidents that have been called in to us,” says Morgan Connedal, province commanding officer at the Police in Värmland.

“Felt threatened”

Tonight many living in Storfors wanted to take the law in their own hands.

“It’s been some kind of rally going around in the social media,” says Morgan Connedal.

Shortly after midnight a mob of about thirty people gathered outside the family’s house and three police patrols were called to the scene.

“It was a threatening atmosphere. The family felt threatened,” says Morgan Connedal.

Eventually the family was forced to escape.

The family moved to another town. The police helped the family to obtain temporary living quarters in another town for the night.

Morgan Connedal doesn’t know exactly what happened at the scene, but after four hours the policemen were able to leave the place.

By then the mob had dispersed and the family had been put in a secure place. During Sunday the police will be present in Storfors in case last night’s events should produce any kind of aftermath,

“No charges have been filed against the people in the mob yet, but the Police are going to investigate whether any or anyone is guilty of a crime.

“It is of course not a good thing. Nor is it common that anything like this happens, not in this place,” says Morgan Connedal.

  1. Actually, these immigrants weren’t really ‘run out of town’, as such.

    1. Immigrants arrive.
    2. Public disorder, theft and vandalism ensues.
    3. Villagers object and form angry mob.
    4. Police move immigrants to ‘safe house’
    5. Police say villagers may be arrested…

    • Well… i know i’m quite late but… 🙂

We have the same thing here in France. But, speaking of a thug’s nationality is considered as “racism” by our socialist government.
Besides, defending yourself against theft, assault, etc, is a mistake. You may certainly become the “bad one”, and be sentenced for defending your life, or other’s.

  2. The Roma were a one-house crime wave. Period.

That’s as remarkable as saying the Sun rises in the east and the sky is blue.

The Roma culture is one of economic parasitism. It’s just the way they roll.

    It’s a cultural thing — not genetic.

Within every generation some sons and daughters leave their families to go straight.

Christian behavior and a new name work wonders.

From such lips we get truth: Roma problems are self-induced. The dominanting Roma culture deems the welfare state as being a universal chump; deems honest living and taxes as for rubes.

In a deeper sense, they represent our universal Neolithic past, when all humanity lived rent free and just took whatever wasn’t bolted down, roaming at will.

As long as nature or government provides — why let the long party ever stop?

      And the Ummah are virtuous?

  4. It’s nothing but displacement.
They’re driving the Roma out because they can.
They are not driving the Muslims out because they are cowards.
    end of story.

  5. Seen Romas since i was a kid in Italy. Never seen one willing to work in my whole life. They lived in an old incinerating plant; municipality built them an ad hoc area with toilets, electricity, water, parkings for their caravans etc. Two days later the electric panels were dismantled for the copper; toilets destroyed. Then they began to burn tyres to remove the metal from inside, polluting the whole area and the neighbourhood. Neighbours complained, and they went there at night to burn their cars. One day a fire starts in their camp, fire department goes to extinguish it and the camp boss receives them with guns asking them to ask permit to enter the camp (to extinguish the fire they had set). I get similar reports from Romania and from Bulgaria. Romas problem is not one of integration or lack of help from government. They are historically parasitic as their culture is based on that or doing odd jobs to earn a living. That’s the truth. There isn’t any other complex truth out there, neither from sociologists nor from psychologists coming from the usual side of the political spectrum. There is only one reality. They are parasitic.

    • I’m not at all defending Roman criminality. When they steal they should be punished. But they don’t behead people, and they don’t marry away their 10 year old daughters and they don’t cry out for any Roman-Sharia law. Many Romes have assimilated into the Swedish society. Even if it has been hard, it has been possible. With the muslims it is impossible, and it has been shown all over the world.

      • In Finland we have a saying:
Why 95% of Romas discredit the reputation of remaining 5%.
