China’s Economic Decline Could See the Australian Dollar Plunge to 59 US Cents by Christmas and Spark Reserve Bank Rate Cuts by Mid-2024

An economic slowdown in China, where interest rates are now being cut, could see the Australian dollar sink to 59 US cents by the end of 2023. This would be below the levels of the GFC in 2008.

European Real Wages Diminish Amid Record Inflation, Despite Nominal Growth

By 2023, surging inflation rates have hampered real wage growth across Europe, despite a notable increase in nominal wages.

In 2022, the European Union (EU) grappled with unprecedented inflation rates, soaring to heights unseen in the prior four decades. While the zenith of 4.4% inflation was reached in July 2008, this rate escalated to 11.5% by October 2022. By June 2023, it had tapered off to 6.4%.

“If We Press This With Russia, it Will Reach Us Here in the US” — Col. Macgregor Tells Tucker Why the Ukraine War Must End Now

Tucker Carlson on Monday published an interview with former Trump administration official Col. Douglas Macgregor (Ret.), who explained why the war in Ukraine has put the United States on the brink of a ‘catastrophic war that could easily destroy us.’

Carlson begins with a bold statement: “pretty much everything that NBC and The NYTimes have told you about the war in Ukraine is a lie.”

“‘The Russian army is incompetent’ — they claim. ‘Ukraine is a Democracy!’ ‘Vladimir Putin is Hitler and he’s trying to take over the world!’ ‘Thankfully, the Ukrainians are winning.’

“Every claim is false, the last one especially,” said Carlson, adding “the Ukrainian army is not winning — in fact, it’s losing badly. Ukraine is being destroyed. Its population is being slaughtered.”

204 Chicago Homicides in Mayor Johnson’s First 100 Days, Including Four Teenagers Killed Last Weekend

By Ted Dabrowski and John Klingner of Wirepoints

It would be naïve to think that a progressive Chicago mayor could actually reduce the city’s crime numbers during his first 100 days in office, but Brandon Johnson did have a real opportunity to flip the trajectory. Chicago’s crime had already hit its post-George Floyd, post-covid highs in 2022 (see appendix) and Mayor Lori Lightfoot had made a major mess of policing and criminal justice. Johnson had a perfect chance to lead, and maybe even bring the crime numbers down.

29-Year-Old Driver Accused of Striking Pedestrians in Midtown Identified

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) — The woman accused of striking a group of pedestrians in Midtown over the weekend has been identified.

Imani Lucas, 29, is charged with seven counts of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident causing serious injury and reckless driving.

She told police she prayed to God and closed her eyes as she blew a red light, NYPD sources said Monday.

Lucas was silent Tuesday as she was escorted out of the police precinct in handcuffs.

Police say she was heading eastbound on West 36th Street on Sunday night when she hit the pedestrians standing on a Midtown sidewalk. The victims ranged in age from 24 to 61.

Of the seven victims, the most seriously injured was a 34-year-old tourist from Italy. Giulia Gardani reportedly had to undergo a lengthy surgery for a cervical spine injury.

The others were miraculously left with leg wounds, cuts and bruises.

Authorities say after Lucas hit the victims, she drove her Honda Accord through the Midtown Tunnel and ended up crashing into two cars on the Long Island Expressway just east of 188th Street.

She does not appear to have been intoxicated and the collision does not appear deliberate or terrorism-related, authorities said.

Police said Lucas had a psych evaluation and was being examined for mental health issues.

Breaking: Oliver Anthony Releases New Song ‘I Want to Go Home’ — Documenting a World on the ‘Brink of War’

Viral sensation Oliver Anthony has just released a new song and it’s already taking the internet by storm.

Uploaded first to his YouTube, the song is called “I Want to Go Home” and the lyrics paint a picture of an alienated, hard-working man of God, trying to make sense of a world on the brink of World War III.

The lyrics are simple yet powerful: “We’re on the brink of the next World War / and I don’t think nobody’s praying no more … Every damn day is always some kind of bill to pay / People just doing what the rich man say.”

Later he sings “People have really gone and lost their way / They all just do what the TVs say.”

The Virginia farmer and musician, distinguished by his now-famous red beard, emerged from obscurity to achieve the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with a track he recorded during his time in the American wilderness called “Rich Men North of Richmond.”

EXCLUSIVE — A California church ordered to pay $1.2 million in fines for violating COVID-19 lockdown measures filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday alleging the local government unconstitutionally spied and tracked Christian worshipers through secretive “geofencing” using congregants’ cell phone data.

Calvary Chapel San Jose and Pastor Mike McClure accuse Santa Clara County and the Colorado-based data company SafeGraph of embarking “on an invasive and warrantless geofencing operation to track residents” unbeknownst to the public, according to the lawsuit filed by Advocates for Faith & Freedom.

FEMA: ‘We Still Expect Several More Days’ to Finish Maui Search

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell stated that the search of Maui’s burn zone is 87% finished, but it will take “several more days” for the search to be completed.

Criswell said, “I had an opportunity to get a full brief from our urban search and rescue teams that are on the ground in Maui. And while we’re 87% complete, where we find ourselves today is in an area that now requires some heavy equipment to go through the last bit of structures that have been burned to go in there and make sure that we are doing a thorough job in accounting for everybody that may have been perished in this fire. And so, we still expect several more days for these teams to continue to go through this area. But, again, we’re doing it very deliberately to make sure that we cover every square inch.”

Titans Cornerback Caleb Farley’s Father Killed, Another Injured in Explosion at NFL Player’s House

An explosion Monday night at the North Carolina home of Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley killed his father and injured a family friend, Iredell County Emergency Management Director Kent Greene confirmed to CBS News.

First responders who arrived at the multimillion-dollar Mooresville home found 25-year-old family friend Christian Rogers leaving the house. Rodgers was taken to Atrium Main in Charlotte with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news statement released by Iredell County. Responders found the body of Farley’s father Robert Farley, 61, after searching through the debris, the statement said.

At a news conference on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said they are looking into a natural gas issue, but the investigation is ongoing. An odor of gas was reported in the area.

Caleb Farley wasn’t home at the time of the explosion, his agent confirmed to CBS News. He had purchased the home “with our understanding it was for his father,” Kent Greene, director of fire services and emergency management for Iredell County, said at the news conference. Farley, along with his aunt and uncle, came into town Tuesday morning and went to the site of the scene, Greene said.

Vivek Ramaswamy Clarifies Remarks After He is Accused of Floating 9/11 Conspiracy

GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in an interview with Fox News clarified remarks he gave to The Atlantic that some critics say alluded to the possibility that federal agents were involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

“I think it is legitimate to say how many police, how many federal agents, were on the planes that hit the Twin Towers. Maybe the answer is zero. It probably is zero for all I know, right? I have no reason to think it was anything other than zero,” Ramaswamy told the outlet in released audio. “But if we’re doing a comprehensive assessment of what happened on 9/11, we have a 9/11 commission, absolutely that should be an answer the public knows the answer to.”

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins pushed Ramaswamy about his remarks on Monday asking him if the quote was wrong.

Chinese ‘Police Stations’ in Canada Are Part of ‘Arsenal of Interference’: CSIS

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service has deemed seven Chinese “police stations” operating across Canada to be part of an “arsenal of interference” used by China on Canadian soil, according to a report published by La Presse on Monday.

The revelations, first discussed in a December 2022 CSIS Security Alert obtained by the outlet via the Access to Information Act, have shone light on the Chinese Communist Party’s ability to exert influence in Canada.

“‘Police stations’ in Canada contribute to foreign interference by the PRC [People’s Republic of China],” CSIS stated in the 15-page document likely seen by senior officials in the Liberal government including, presumably, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Justin Trudeau’s Online News Act Has Caused a News Blackout as Wildfires Rage

In an age where digital platforms are primary sources of real-time information, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s clash with Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta, formerly Facebook, has become more poignant than ever. With wildfires raging across the country, the stakes are high.

Earlier this summer, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, made a controversial move. In response to the Online News Act introduced by Trudeau’s administration — legislation that forced tech companies to pay failing legacy news publishers — Facebook blocked access to news stories for all Canada-based users. This meant that Canadians couldn’t click on news stories from any local outlets, a restriction not just limited to Facebook but extended to Instagram as well.

Czech Republic Ranks Second in Housing Unaffordability in Europe

The Czech Republic maintains its position near the top of the list for housing unaffordability in Europe, according to the recent Property Index by consulting firm Deloitte.

Buying a home in this country remains challenging, requiring an average of 13 gross annual salaries for a 70-square-meter property, a figure consistent with last year. In the capital city of Prague, purchasing a home is even more daunting, demanding 14.3 gross annual salaries, making it the third most expensive European city after Amsterdam and Bratislava.

Deloitte’s report revealed that housing remains least affordable in Slovakia, necessitating an average of 14.1 gross annual salaries. “The Czech Republic, which ranked the worst in affordability last year, has now moved to the penultimate spot,” remarked Miroslav Linhart, the principal partner at Deloitte’s financial advisory division.

Czech Town’s Decision to Relocate Red Army Soldier Monument Sparks Controversy

The decision of the Dobrzhish town administration in the Czech Republic to move a memorial plaque dedicated to a Red Army soldier has been met with skepticism and criticism from local residents, writes Seznam Zpravy.

Czech Republic Sees Decade High Surge in Syphilis Cases

Syphilis infection rates in the Czech Republic have surged to their highest in a decade, with cases increasing by 25% over the past ten years. From 737 recorded cases in 2011, the number grew to 909 by 2021, with the count continuing to rise.

Alarmingly, the disease has not only been reported in sexually active adults but has also impacted children. The Institute of Medical Information and Statistics revealed that, over the past decade, 37 patients under the age of 14 received treatment for syphilis. This includes six school-age children and 31 infants. A particularly concerning case was that of a 7-month-old girl, infected by her mother.

Medical experts in the country believe that the uptick in syphilis cases could be attributed to decreasing concerns about HIV infections, leading individuals to adopt less cautious behaviors.

Europe is Heading Towards a Triple Crisis

Europe is unavoidably heading towards a triple crisis, German publicist Thomas Fasbender told Preussische Allgemeine in an interview on the occasion of the publication of his new book, “The eerie century” (Das unheimliche Jahrhundert).

The subtitle of the book, “Before the turning point,” is a direct quote of an expression taken from Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s special address to the Bundestag on Feb. 27, 2022, in reaction to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In it, he used the word “Zeitenwende.” While the official translation for the word used by the German government is “turning point” or “watershed moment”, the original German term refers to both a changing of times and a geopolitical shift.

In the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, at least two nurseries are entertaining the idea of safe spaces where young children can retreat to masturbate, or as one daycare center in Kerpen puts it, “discover and satisfy themselves physically.”

This shortfall raises concerns about the feasibility of the longer-term goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2045, according to Reuters.

In Spain, the “Habana Effect” is Already a Reality

When the EU tolled the death knell for the combustion engine late last year, prohibiting sales of new combustion engine cars starting in 2035, the opposition warned of creating a “Habana effect.”

Cuba is famous for the old, classic cars on its streets. Behind the charming postcard aesthetic is the harsh reality that the vast majority of Cubans simply can’t afford to buy new cars and so manage the only option available—keep the old ones running.

Spain is already a bit Havana-esque when it comes to cars. The top-selling car in Spain has the following profile: it’s fifteen years old and runs on diesel.

UK: Sadiq Khan Pressured Scientists to Support Anti-Car Scheme as Study Showed Minimal Impact on Pollution: Report

London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s office has been accused of attempting to pressure scientists to back his green agenda anti-car ULEZ scheme after a study found that the tax on motorists had a minimal impact on improving air quality in the capital.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic Announced the Collapse of the European Economy Due to Ukraine

Journalist Tucker Carlson reported this on social media after meeting with the Serbian president in Budapest.

“We just met with the president of Serbia, who is advertised is smart and aware and has perspective that you don’t get in the United States very often. One of the points he made is that the war in Ukraine, the war against Russia led by NATO, has crushed the European economy. The destruction of Nord Stream by the Biden administration, either directly or through proxies, is killing the German economy. And the German economy is the largest economy in Europe by far. And so the downstream effects of that, one NATO country effectively attacking another NATO country, are felt throughout Europe. And that’s crazy. That’s completely crazy. This war is hurting everybody, possibly with the exception of Russia and empowering everybody outside of Europe. The Gulf States, China, Turkey. So you’re really seeing the world reset in response to this war. It’s a little more complicated than Hitler vs. Churchill, good vs. bad. It’s all happening right now but very few people in our country seem aware of it”, said Tucker Carlson.

Ukraine Reacts to Being Given F-16s: This Isn’t Enough

Ukraine hailed a major development in the level of support it has received from NATO at the weekend as the donation of F-16s went from ‘one day’ to ‘this year’, but the nation has gone right from that news to urging for more nations to pledge their own stocks of jet fighters, too.

Denmark and the Netherlands both committed to give Ukraine F-16 fighter jets from their arsenals over the weekend, with Copenhagen saying they would send 19 planes and six of them this year, and Amsterdam promising aircraft without putting a specific number or timeline on deliveries. The Ukrainians in a typical burst of optimism announced they were to get the nation’s entire stock of aircraft, 42 airframes.

Ukraine Steps Up Mobilisation Efforts

The Ukrainian Border Guard will have direct access to the personal data of all Ukrainian men who are eligible for compulsory military service and are therefore eligible to fight in the war against Russia. This will further enable border guards to stop citizens from fleeing the country, reports Hungarian-language Ukrainian website Karpati Igaz Szó. The authorities will be able to determine very quickly whether someone is carrying false documents or not, said Andriy Demchenko, spokesman of the Border Guard, stating that the new plans are currently in their test phase.

Conscripts fleeing Ukraine have made the headlines in the last couple of months, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promising to crack down on corrupt officials who assist men in evading mobilisation. As The European Conservative reported, Yevhen Borisov, head of the agency that oversees mobilisation and conscription efforts in the southern Odesa oblast, was arrested at the end of July for accepting bribes in return for exempting some would-be soldiers from mobilisation.

Ukraine Defies Odds by Advancing in Counteroffensive: Official

Ukraine has made progress in its counteroffensive against Russian forces simply by proving it can push back a better-armed and numerically superior enemy, a senior Ukrainian official said on Tuesday.

Ukrainian troops have faced vast Russian minefields and trenches in the counteroffensive launched in early June, and a U.S. official said last week it looked unlikely that Kyiv would be able to recapture the strategic southern city of Melitopol.

But Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar brushed aside any suggestion that Kyiv’s progress was too slow, and said Ukraine had effectively defied military doctrine by attacking an enemy that has a numerical advantage in manpower and weaponry.

“It’s incorrect to measure this advance by metres or kilometres,” Maliar told Reuters in an interview. “What’s important is the very fact that despite everything, we’re moving forward even though we have fewer people and fewer weapons.”

She said she was unaware of any Western pressure being exerted on Ukraine’s military to accelerate operations, and challenged the idea of a universally “correct” tempo.

Illegal Immigrants Say NYC is ‘Chaos,’ Not What They Expected

For many migrants, the United States is seen as the land of opportunity, and perhaps nowhere has been portrayed as representing that promise more than New York City. In recent months, however, those seeking asylum in the Big Apple have been let down, the American dream replaced by chaos and uncertainty.

The unprecedented influx of people allowed by President Joe Biden and Mayor Eric Adams has put a strain on the system, and as a result, new arrivals have faced tough times finding work, shelter, and other basic necessities of daily life. While the situation in the city is still, in most cases, a step up from that in their home countries, many migrants have become skeptical that things will work out for them in the land of the free.

Radicals Want to Keep Porn, Ban PragerU, in Schools

by Daniel Greenfield

Florida has been falsely accused of “book bans” for pulling graphic pornography and racism from schools. A Florida school district was sued for keeping, “All Boys Aren’t Blue”, which features lines such as “he reached his hand down and pulled out my d____”, away from kids.

The Biden administration claimed that it was “incomprehensible” that the DeSantis administration had rejected a black history AP course featuring the works of Amiri Baraka whose poems included lines such as “we are all beautiful (except white people, they are full of, and made of s__t)” and “Rape the white girls. Rape / their fathers. Cut the mothers’ throats.”

But now the Left has discovered educational materials in Florida schools that it wants to ban.

Outrage, condemnations, petitions and threats greeted the revelation that Florida had allowed schools to use PragerU materials if they wanted to. After months of accusing Florida of banning books, the media and leftist activists mounted a crusade to ban PragerU from schools.

NPR, which had attacked Florida for keeping graphic pornography and racism away from kids, breathlessly condemned the state’s educational system for potentially allowing videos which correctly state that “slavery was part of life all over the world” and that “the planet has been warming and cooling since prehistoric times”…

Left-wing heroes burned lots of books

The idea that book burning is specifically ‘Nazi’ or ‘right-wing’ is a myth promoted by leftists. But the truth is that the heroes of the left burned more books than anyone else.

    BY DAN ERIKSSON
    AUG 22 2023

Right now, everyone seems to be talking about book burning in general and Koran burning in particular, and from both religious and political quarters, comparisons are often made with book burning in National Socialist Germany.

I wrote the other day about Göran Rosenberg’s

    https://gatesofvienna.net/2023/08/the-islamization-crisis-in-sweden/#comment-595031

commentary in the Expressen Kultur, and quote once
    more from it:

“The protagonist of Heine’s drama, a young Muslim (moor) named Almansor, returns to Granada from his refuge abroad and learns from
a former trusted family member, Hassan, not only that his prospective bride has been forced to convert and marry a Christian, but also about the Grand Inquisitor’s book burning. It is then that Heine has Hassan utter the now prophetic phrase: ‘This was only a prelude; where you burn books, you will eventually burn people’.
And what we all envision is the Nazi book burnings of spring 1933.”

But what leftists like Rosenberg tend to leave out is that burning literature is hardly exclusive to Christians, Nazis or even “right-wingers”. On the contrary, there are plenty of examples of the same thing being done by left-wing regimes – for example during the Cultural Revolution in China and under Soviet communism.

If there were any true champions of book burning, it was the revolutionaries of the French Revolution. These revolutionaries are seen as heroes in left-wing circles, and their slogan of “equality, liberty and fraternity” still echoes today among both social democrats and more revolutionary socialists.

During the French Revolution, a lot of literature in different genres was censored and burned. Here are some examples:

Ecclesiastical literature: Since the Revolution was a strong backlash against the power of the Church and the monarchy, many religious and ecclesiastical texts were burned. Bibles, liturgical books and other religious works were burned because they were considered to represent the authority of the old order.

Noble literature: Many works associated with the nobility, monarchy or aristocracy were burned. These included nobility memoirs, poems and other works that were seen to glorify the old social system.

Political works: Books that criticized the ideals of the revolution or were considered counter-revolutionary were also burned. This included works that questioned the basic principles of the Republic or that advocated monarchy or aristocracy.

Philosophical and scientific works: Some philosophical and scientific works were burned because they were considered to threaten the religious faith or social structure. For example, works by philosophers such as Voltaire and Rousseau were considered dangerous to the New Order.

Some of the more famous authors whose works were burned in the left-wing book pyre were Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the priest Antoine-François Callet.

Personally, I am not a fan of book burning, for obvious reasons. But it’s pathetic when left-wingers try to score political points by claiming that there is something inherently “Nazi” or “right-wing” about burning books as a symbolic act, when some of their greatest heroes were in a class of their own when it came to doing just that.

  2. The Gender Identity Development Service (Gids), based at Londonstan’s Tavistock and Portman Nigerian Health Service Foundation Trust, is due to close down next year after staff blew the whistle on how the service was being run and a Anti White Commission inspection of the clinic ruled it “inadequate,” expressing significant concerns over “clinical practice, safeguarding procedures, and assessments of capacity and consent to treatment.”

    RIP England.

    • This is not news to me; a few months ago it was revealed that the Tavistock had a disproportionate number of autistic children among its “patients”, but apparently had not seen fit to review its practices.

I wonder where you’re from, AM? This abuse is hardly unique to the UK.
