16-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Shot in Highland Park by Gunman Who Remains on the Run

Police say a 16-year-old boy has died after he was shot on the sidewalk in Highland Park Sunday morning by a gunman who remains on the run.

The Highland Park Police Department and Highland Park Fire Department responded around 11:30 a.m. Sunday to the 2300 block of Green Bay Road for a shooting.

Emergency crews arrived to find a 16-year-old Highwood boy who had been shot, according to Lake County Major Crime Task Force Spokesman Christopher Covelli.

The victim was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by the offender.

The two engaged in a brief conversation before the offender produced a firearm and shot the victim, Covelli said.

The boy was transported to Highland Park Hospital and pronounced dead.

Police established a large perimeter around the scene in an attempt to locate the offender.

Witnesses described the offender as a male dressed in all black that fled on a bicycle.

Further investigation showed he likely fled on foot, not on a bicycle, following the shooting, Covelli said.

COVID Victims’ Families Sue EcoHealth Alliance for ‘Funding, Releasing’ Virus

The families of four people who died from COVID-19 are suing EcoHealth alliance, the New York-based nonprofit that was conducting gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan, China, before COVID-19 broke out across town.

According to the Aug. 2 lawsuit filed before the New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, EcoHealth and its president, Peter Daszak, knew the virus was “capable of causing a worldwide pandemic.”

Not only did EcoHealth help to create a ‘genetically manipulated virus,’ the lawsuit claims, it worked to cover up the origins of the outbreak.

“If we had known the source or origin of this virus and had not been misled that it was from a pangolin in a wet market, and rather we knew that it was a genetically manipulated virus, and that the scientists involved were concealing that from our clients, the outcome could have been very different,” victims’ attorney Patricia Finn told the NY Post.

Scientists at Fermilab Close in on Fifth Force of Nature

Scientists near Chicago say they may be getting closer to discovering the existence of a new force of nature.

They have found more evidence that sub-atomic particles, called muons, are not behaving in the way predicted by the current theory of sub-atomic physics.

Scientists believe that an unknown force could be acting on the muons.

More data will be needed to confirm these results, but if they are verified, it could mark the beginning of a revolution in physics.

All of the forces we experience every day can be reduced to just four categories: gravity, electromagnetism, the strong force and the weak force. These four fundamental forces govern how all the objects and particles in the Universe interact with each other.

The findings have been made at a US particle accelerator facility called Fermilab. They build on results announced in 2021 in which the Fermilab team first suggested the possibility of a fifth force of nature.

Woman Stabbed During Argument at United Center Saturday Night, Chicago Police Say

The victim told police an argument with three women turned physical, at which point they struck her several times, authorities said.

A woman was stabbed when an argument inside the United Center escalated on Saturday night, according to authorities.

The stabbing was reported at around 9:25 p.m. during the WGCI Summer Jam show at which Lil Durk took the stage. The rapper’s concert later ended abruptly after police received calls of shots fired that turned out to be inaccurate, officials said.

According to Chicago police, the stabbing victim, a 20-year-old woman, walked into the Chicago Police Department’s 12th district station where she reported the crime. The victim told police an argument with three women turned physical, at which point they struck her several times. A man then stabbed her in the neck with a sharp object, police said.

The victim received medical treatment prior to showing up at the police station, but refused additional treatment upon arrival. No one was in custody late Sunday as detectives continued to investigate.

Exclusive: Danielle Smith on Human Trafficking

Canadians often speak of slavery as though it is a relic of the ancient past that we have overcome, but the truth is that there are more slaves in the world today than ever before. Conservative estimates from the Global Slavery Index suggest nearly 50 million people are currently enslaved, and numerous sources estimate that nearly 30 million of the individuals trapped in slavery are ensnared within human trafficking.

This insidious industry — which treats human beings as commodities for forced labour and sex work — operates within the shadows, rendering accurate estimates a nearly impossible task. It is entirely possible that the real number of victims is much higher.

Many have comforted themselves with the idea that these types of things don’t happen in Canada, but they are sorely mistaken. Human trafficking happens everywhere, not just in far off lands. In fact, in the last decade alone, there have been more than 3500 cases of human trafficking in Canada, and those are just the cases we know about.

Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party are taking the fight to human traffickers and have committed $4 million to establishing an office with the sole task of tackling this grievous human rights violation in Alberta.

Still No Closure Regarding Canada’s Treatment of Religious Christians Under the COVID Lockdowns

The film uncovers the unsettling truth about the banning of religious services during Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s COVID lockdowns, and highlights those brave individuals who stood up against such mandates.

Sheila noted how each location visited on the tour was different, just as each pastor interviewed in the documentary is. “I think that was really the story of the documentary,” Sheila said. “It did not matter your style, your theology. For example, you could be like Pastor Art [Pawlowski] and fiery, or you could be like Pastor Tobias Tiessen and gentle like a lamb. It didn’t matter because their crimes were standing up to the state and honouring God.”

35 More People Charged in Connection With Fatal Stabbing of Young Greek Football Fan

Michalis Katsouris, 29, died after being stabbed in a mass brawl which erupted on the streets of the Greek capital.

Greek prosecutors on Sunday charged 35 more people in connection with the fatal stabbing of a young Greek football fan before a Champions League game, taking the total to face charges over the incident to 105.

Of that number, 102 are from Croatia and suspected of links with the ‘Bad Blue Boys’, hardline supporters of Dinamo Zagreb who travelled to Greece last Monday, the day before their side’s Champions League qualifier against AEK Athens.

The others are two Greeks and an Albanian. Authorities are hunting for another Greek national, also suspected of being involved in the fatal attack, according to the same judicial source.

Following his death, UEFA postponed Tuesday’s third-round qualifier between the two sides until August 19.

France: Fighting for Heritage: A Normandy Village of 64 Inhabitants Saves Its Church

As de-Christianisation accelerates, the question of how to maintain village churches is becoming an increasingly thorny issue in the French countryside. Abandonment, destruction, or restoration? One small village in Normandy, with a population of 64, considers this to be a priority cause and, for decades, has continued to save its church against all odds, investing sums that are too high for the budget of such a small commune.

In France, since the French Revolution (which nationalised the property of the clergy), and especially since the 1905 law (that put an end to the Concordat and established the principle of separation of church and state), the vast majority of churches have been confiscated from the Catholic Church by the state. These churches now belong to the cities, which are responsible for their upkeep. For small rural communities, this represents a financial burden that is difficult to bear, and many mayors are tempted to abandon—or destroy—buildings that are less and less used for worship.

Stolen Works of Art Returned to Italy

For many years, the megalopolis of New York has been one of the main hubs of international art trafficking. On Tuesday, August 8th, the New York district attorney for the Borough of Manhattan, Alvin Bragg, announced the return of 42 works of art of great value to their country of origin, Italy, following a lengthy investigation.

The works returned to Italy include some very fine pieces dating back to Roman and Etruscan antiquity. Le Monde, for example, recounts the story of a vase from Apulia, dating from the 4th century BC, stolen from a site in southern Italy and then smuggled internationally by an Italian art trafficker. Several other works of art passed through the hands of renowned British art dealer, Robin Symes, who acted as an intermediary between the purveyors of works in Italy and the collectors interested in buying exceptional ancient works. The task was made more difficult by the existence of long-standing and highly organised networks of smugglers, as the prosecutor explained.

UK: London’s Oxford Street Sees ‘Teen Takeover’ Mayhem Following Viral ‘Rob JD Sports’ TikTok Campaign

Videos have emerged from Oxford Street in London, where chaos erupted following a social media campaign to “rob JD Sports” and shoplift. Three young men were detained by the Metropolitan Police at the shopping hotspot amid fears of mayhem.

Footage shows police grappling with two youths and detaining a third. In a separate video, infamous TikToker Mizzy was also stopped by officers. It’s unclear if the TikTok thug was partaking in the “mass shoplifting event,” the Daily Mail reports.

The chaos was sparked by a viral post urging thugs to rob JD Sports and other stores, with a poster instructing a “dress code” of balaclavas and gloves, and warning: “Don’t come if you can’t run,” and “Don’t bring any weapons.”

Russian Warship Fires Shots to Intercept Cargo Ship in Black Sea

Turkish vessel was inspected before continuing its journey to Ukraine as ships treated as arms smugglers following collapse of grain deal

A Russian warship fired warning shots as it intercepted a cargo ship sailing towards Ukraine, the first time it has done so since a grain deal collapsed last month.

Russia’s ministry of defence said that the Vasily Bykov fired its machine gun to force the Sukru Okan to stall in the Black Sea and then boarded it with a naval helicopter.

“After the completion of the work of the inspection team on board the Sukru Okan, the ship continued to move to the port of Izmail,” it said. Izmail is a Ukrainian port on the Danube River.

The Sukru Okan is a 34-year-old dry cargo ship that is named after a Turkish admiral. Maritime data showed that although it sails under the flag of Palau, a Pacific Island nation, the Sukru Okan is based in Istanbul and is operated by a Turkish company. Civilian cargo ships often sail under different flags to reduce costs and red tape.

A UN-brokered grain deal that had allowed ships to dock in Ukraine to load grain after they had been inspected by Russian officials for arms smuggling collapsed because the Kremlin said that Ukraine had refused to reopen an ammonia pipeline.

Ukrainians Begin to Despair as Bloody Counteroffensive Yields Small Gains

Authored by Kyle Anzalone via The Libertarian Institute

According to the Washington Post, many citizens of Ukraine are adopting a darker mood about the war with Russia, and national unity is beginning to fray. The change in sentiment comes as Kiev’s spring counteroffensive fails to retake significant territory despite surging casualties.

“Ukrainians, much in need of good news, are simply not getting any,” the Washington Post reported Thursday. One Ukrainian, Alla Blyzniuk, interviewed by the outlet, said, “[before] people were united.” Now, she described, a sense of collective “disappointment.”

The sense of despair is driven by massive casualties in Kiev’s counteroffensive. Blyzniuk said that most soldiers sent to the front die in just two to three days.

Last week, Politico reported that Kiev had committed 150,000 troops to fight along three fronts. Nevertheless, the Pentagon admits that Ukrainian forces have failed to make any significant gains.

Westpac has initiated a ‘co-locating’ strategy, consolidating some locations of its subsidiary brands such as St George into existing Westpac branches.

Meanwhile, the other big four banks — Commonwealth, ANZ, and NAB — have established cashless branches, directing customers towards ATMs for everyday banking needs.

Study Reveals Which AI Chatbot Most Woke, While Hackers Trick LLMs Into ‘Bad Math’

A landmark study from researchers at the University of Washington, Carnegie Mellon University, and Xi’an Jiaotong University reveals which AI chatbots have the most liberal vs. conservative bias.

According to the study, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, including GPT-4 are the most left-leaning and libertarian (?), while Google’s BERT models were more socially conservative, and Meta’s LLaMA was the most right-leaning.

AI chatbots use Large Language Models (LLMs), which are ‘trained’ on giant data sets, such as Tweets, or Reddit, or Yelp reviews. As such, the source of a model’s scraped training data, as well as guardrails installed by companies like OpenAI, can introduce massive bias.

To determine bias, the researchers in the above study exposed each AI model to a political compass test of 62 different political statements, which ranged from anarchic statements like “all authority should be questioned” to more traditional beliefs, such as the role of mothers as homemakers. Though the study’s approach is admittedly “far from perfect” per the researchers’ own admission, it provides valuable insight into the political biases that AI chatbots may bring to our screens.

Uganda Pivots to Russia Amid World Bank LGBT Boycott

The World Bank announced Tuesday, August 8th, that it would suspend all financing for Uganda after the East African nation passed a law criminalising homosexual acts in May.

A relatively stable African nation under the leadership of long-time President Yoweri Museveni, Uganda incurred the wrath of Western NGOs earlier this year for its decision to introduce the death penalty for certain homosexual acts, with prison sentences of up to 20 years for those caught encouraging homosexuality.

President Museveni has defended the legislation in spite of direct criticism from the UN and President Biden, saying that it was essential to protecting the place of the family in Ugandan life as well as affirming his country’s cultural independence against the West.

UK: Government Spends Over £500,000 in Taxpayer Funds on LGBTQ+ ‘Pride’ Month Promotion

Local governments throughout Britain spent over £500,000 in taxpayer money during LGBTQ+ Pride Month to promote the leftist sex agenda, including drag time story hour events, rainbow flags, and propaganda clothing for state employees.

According to research conducted by the TaxPayers’ Alliance (TPA), during the month of June, alone, local councils, police forces, fire services, and National Health Service trusts spent a staggering £554,000 on promulgating the increasingly radical ideology surrounding so-called LGBTQ+ issues, The Telegraph reported.

Unsurprisingly, far-left Sadiq Khan’s London led the way in Pride spending, dumping £126,700 for flags, t-shirts, and grant funds last month, despite the ongoing cost of living crisis ravaging the wallets of many in the city.

  1. Britain spent over £500,000 in taxpayer money on Pedo Month.

This is the same government that was operating the Pedophile Information Exchange, in the 70’s.

Westminster is just a den of pedophiles, hedonists and negrophiles.

    RIP England
    RIP

  2. democracy in western countries means any party can be suppressed with ridicolous motivations, so you’ll not even have any possibility to vote out of the mainstream parties (anyway the electoral process is a waste of time and resources in first place, and it is all fake and made up). just anybody can be labeled far extreme right, antisemite, and be prosecuted.

  3. Here in Australia there is no reporting on the vaccine push back. There was a little bit in the Dailymail about mandatory vaccination but nothing about excess deaths and injuries. Media is silent.
