Italy: GDP to Drop Over 8% in 2020 — Gualtieri

Q3 rebound, press on with tax reform says econ min

(ANSA) — ROME, SEP 2 — Italy’s GDP will drop by over 8% this year, Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri said Wednesday.

He said this was much better than previous forecasts of a drop of 11-13%.

Those forecasts, he said, had been done before the length of the COVID lockdown was known.

After a big contraction in the second quarter, Gualtieri said there would be a “strong rebound” in the third quarter.

The minister reiterated that the government would implement a major tax reform.

He said this would start by cutting the tax wedge.

“There will be a big rebound in the third quarter, and we will press ahead with the tax reform,” he said.

The government is lining up projects for a national recovery plan to take advantage of the biggest chunk, some 200 billion euros, of the European Union’s 750 billion COVID Recovery Fund next year.

The European Commission is confident that Italy will be up to the challenge posed by the COVID emergency and will make the best use of the EU’s Recovery Fund, Commissioner for Economic Affairs Paolo Gentiloni said Tuesday in addressing the House on the priorities the government must indicate to tap into the fund.

He said we are in a phase of relaunching the economy but a general “climate of uncertainty” reigns, also in Italy.

“We are confident that the country will be up to the challenges”, said Gentiloni.

The Commission, he said, asks the Italian government, in compiling its reform programme, “to indicate its choices within the framework of priorities”.

It should not just issue a spending list, Gentiloni said.

Italy has a unique chance to restart by getting the largest chunk of the 750 billion fund, he said.

“Let us not think we can use the 200 billion to cut taxes, it would really be the wrong message,” he said.

Different Rules for the Ruling Class Than the Rest of US

Some people will always think they are better than others, and those people invariably always get attracted to positions of power over people they think they can control. Luckily, most of America is waking up to this obvious problem plaguing society, and Nancy Pelosi is helping them see it.

Recently, Pelosi made a mockery of herself and the “lockdown” rules she helps impose on working-class Americans. The city of San Francisco has kept hair salons shut for months amid the COVID-19 scamdemic, but that didn´t stop House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from stopping by for a quick wash and blowout at a closed salon — without even wearing a mask, according to a report by RT.

Are Face Masks & COVID Rituals Occultist Symbols For Submission?

This is the cost of Americans allowing politicians to become their rulers. The government has shown time and time again that they serve only themselves, and we are the enemy. The scamdemic has only amplified that divide, and it´s going to get worse as the New World Order is rolled out. Honestly, this shouldn´t surprise anyone. There are just “different rules for different folks,” says Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter.

These politicians are all in on it, and they know exactly what they are doing. They understand this isn´t a pandemic, not even close, but it is an excuse to grab more power and help their masters roll out the two-tier system of the enslavement of humanity.

Now, Will You Listen?

Should parents have any say in what their children are taught in public schools?

“H*ll no!” say the-ahem-educators.

So in Rutherford County, Tennessee, “school officials” are demanding that parents sign a waiver promising not to listen in on their kids´ lessons in the virtual classroom. This would be the remote learning provided by the school district, using its own teachers.

They want the poor devils who pay for all this “education” to waive their rights as parents-and waive their responsibilities, too, while they´re at it. Shut up and pay-six-figure salaries, and benefits that most taxpayers can only fantasize about.

Once upon a time the people in the communities served by the schools, who paid for the schools, decided what was taught and who taught it. Government wrested that right away from them, creating a federal Dept. of Education, with Title This and Title That, and the various state departments of education. Local school boards, elected by the people, can only do what the state allows them to do; and in the unlikely event that the state sides with the people against the educators, a friendly Democrat judge will whip them right back into line.

So now, smug and secure in their power, and in their friends in politics, school officials tell parents, “Just butt out! What we teach your kids is none of your business. Your business is to shut up and pay your taxes.”

A survey released by the Institut Français d’Opinion Publique (Ifop) has revealed that 26 per cent of French Muslims under the age of 25 refuse to condemn the 2015 Charlie Hebdo terror killings.

French Muslims and Non-Muslims Are Divided on Freedom of Expression and Religious Criticism, Survey Shows

The satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo, following the opening of the trial for the attack against the magazine, commissioned a large-scale survey by Ifop on themes such as freedom of expression and religious criticism.

The results show a large and growing divide between French Muslims and non-Muslims, Sceptr reported. Per the survey, 28 percent of French Muslims do not condemn the perpetrators of the attack in the strongest terms, 25 percent would shout insults during a memorial ceremony and 74 percent of Muslim youth consider their beliefs more important than the “values of the French Republic.”

In response to the Charlie Hebdo trial, the satirical French weekly decided to publish the same 12 Mohammed cartoons that led to the attack in 2015. “All that for this,” reads the front page.

On January 7, 2015, two armed Muslim terrorists, the Kouachi brothers, carried out an attack on the weekly’s headquarters in Paris. Twelve people were killed, and 14 people are now standing trial for the incident.

Tomasz Stepien, the CEO of Polish firm Gaz-System, explained at the European Economic Congress that when the Polish-Danish investment was initiated in May 2016, Baltic Pipe was 26 months behind Nord Stream 2.

He added that in the case of Nord Stream 2, that pipeline is mostly constructed but it has not been given a permit from the Danish government, which means that Baltic Pipe is slowly catching up with that project.

“Poisons Regional Peace”: Turkey Enraged After US Lifts Decades-Old Arms Embargo on Cyprus

The timing significantly comes amid Turkey’s Mediterranean gas exploration standoff with Greece and Cyprus, which this past weekend very nearly resulted in shots fired, as the conflict gets increasingly militarized: the US has announced it will lift a decades-old arms embargo on Cyprus.

For now, the US move will only allow “non-lethal” military items to be exported to EU member Cyprus. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo relayed the change to Republic of Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades in a Tuesday phone call.

Turkey Extends Mediterranean Gas Exploration Mission

Ankara’s relations with Athens have deteriorated sharply

(ANSA-AFP) — ANKARA, 01 SET — Turkey has extended until mid-September its controversial natural gas exploration mission in east Mediterranean waters claimed by Greece. Ankara deployed the Oruc Reis research vessel and warships to the disputed waters on August 10 and prolonged the mission twice, raising tensions with Greece and the rest of the EU. The most recent of the two extensions was until Tuesday. But in a message on NAVTEX, the international maritime navigational telex system, Turkey said late Monday the mission would now be extended until September 12. Hours earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a televised speech that the Oruc Reis was “continuing its activities with determination.” “God willing, we hope to get good news from the Mediterranean in a short span of time, too, as we got in the Black Sea,” Erdogan said. Erdogan was referring to Turkey’s discovery of what officials said were 320-billion-cubic-metres of natural gas in the Black Sea, the biggest in Turkey’s history. Ankara’s relations with Athens have deteriorated sharply, with strains over issues including migration and Turkey’s decision to convert Byzantine-era churches into mosques.

Migrant Gangs Are Taking Over the Role of the Police in Sweden’s Gothenburg, Polish Government Says it Warned of Such a Scenario

Swedish media has been devoting much attention to the deteriorating situation in the city of Gothenburg, with press reports admitting that local migrant gangs are taking over the role of the police in many areas and are controlling access to the city’s district. Now, the office of Law and Justice (PiS) Chairman Jaroslaw Kaczynski is pointing out to prescient remarks he made in 2015 about Sweden’s no-go zones and the fact that he was ridiculed at the time he made them.

The situation in Sweden has been viewed with growing concern for the last few years, with murder and shootings becoming commonplace in public spaces, leading to growing fear from the public. Gothenburg’s authorities have even made the decision to attribute special protection to doctors and teachers in some areas, who are now being escorted to work, according to Polish outlet TVP Info.

People-Smuggling Gangs Are Using Facebook and YouTube to Organise Migrant Crossings From France to the UK, National Crime Agency Warns

Facebook, YouTube and other social media companies are not removing pages believed to be linked to people-smuggling because they do not breach terms and conditions, MPs have been told.

Criminals are taking advantage of end-to-end encryption and closed groups to facilitate the movement of migrants from France to the UK, a senior official from the National Crime Agency (NCA) said.

A record number of migrants reached Britain by illegally crossing the Channel last month. More than 1,450 arrived by small boats in August, bringing the total since the start of the year to more than 5,000. Just 1,850 migrants made the journey in 2019.

Poll: Italians Feel Threatened by Migration, Want Matteo Salvini Back in Power

The majority of Italians feel their security is being threatened by how Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s leftist government is handling the country’s migration crisis and would prefer to have League leader Matteo Salvini back in power, the Rome correspondent of Hungarian conservative daily Magyar Hirlap writes.

In a poll on immigration conducted by Italian news portal Affari Italiani, 65 percent of those asked said they don’t feel secure in their own country due to migration, saying that Italy was much safer when Salvini was minister of interior. Another 55 percent of them would like to see Minister of Interior Luciana Lamorgese replaced immediately, while 57 percent of them see the migration rules established by Conte as dangerous.

2016 Kid´s Film ‘Hedgehogs´ Predicts 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic Response, Almost to a Tee

FROM INTELLIHUB: In the film ‘Hedgehogs´, people dressed in bio-suits can be seen spraying a city street with disinfectant upon the onset of the outbreak. The uncanny scene literally mimics the 2020 footage out of Wuhan, China, to a tee.

As a result of the pandemic scare, people put on masks immediately out of fear. Does this remind you of anything? In the film, in order for the star hedgehog to get placed in a new home with a good family, he will have to show a good “bill of health” and later be vaccinated in order to be returned into society.

The “infected” animals were subsequently tracked with GPS locators which resemble current contact tracing programs in 2020. The realtime tracking margin of error in the animation is just one inch. They can track these animals within one inch anywhere on the planet.

Making things even more sinister, an elite and powerful human villain doctor in the film claimed that he was taking the animals to “shelters” but as it turns out the animals may have never actually been taken to shelters but may have been taken to a facility for their extermination.

Keep in mind, this is a kids film launched in 2016-four years before the current COVID-19 pandemic. The film literally lays it all out as it is unfolding today.
