EU States Losing 3% of GDP a Month, IMF Says

The virus shutdown is costing EU states 3 percent of their GDP each month and will cause “a deep European recession this year”, the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) European director Poul Thomsen has said. But “the determination of euro area leaders to do what it takes to stabilise the euro should not be underestimated,” he added, referring to EU plans to ease fiscal discipline and unlock an anti-financial crisis fund.

Something is Not Right

“Your mind picks up signals very fast when something is not right…you don’t always have to figure it out completely, you just know.” —unknown author

Something is not right. Too many things do not add up.

Both Covid-19 and the influenza virus are contagious viruses that cause respiratory illness. The flu in America, so far this season, according to the CDC, has caused about 46 million illnesses, 550,000 hospitalizations and about 41,000 deaths. And yet, we have almost completely shut down our economy to the point of approaching collapse because of a comparatively small fraction of Covid-19 cases caused by another virus from China. Instead of preaching good nutrition, a healthy immune system, supplementing with extra vitamins A, C, and D, our political establishment is pushing for lock downs, face masks, and pressuring our president into creating fear and panic. Why?

Suspected SARS Virus and Flu Samples Found in Luggage: FBI Report Describes China’s ‘Biosecurity Risk’

WASHINGTON — In late November 2018, just over a year before the first coronavirus case was identified in Wuhan, China, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at Detroit Metro Airport stopped a Chinese biologist with three vials labeled “Antibodies” in his luggage.

The biologist told the agents that a colleague in China had asked him to deliver the vials to a researcher at a U.S. institute. After examining the vials, however, customs agents came to an alarming conclusion.

“Inspection of the writing on the vials and the stated recipient led inspection personnel to believe the materials contained within the vials may be viable Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) materials,” says an unclassified FBI tactical intelligence report obtained by Yahoo News.

“Like Watching a Horror Movie”: Sweden’s Liberal Approach to Coronavirus Under Fire

Sweden’s liberal approach to coronavirus, which involves zero border controls and a total absence of legally mandated social distancing, is being described as “like watching a horror movie” by residents of other Scandinavian countries.

Sweden has not imposed the kind of draconian lockdown measures enacted by other European countries.

People are still allowed to gather in crowds of up to 50, as well as visit bars, nightclubs and cinemas. Borders and schools remain open. Although more people are working from home, life is pretty much as normal.

“We who are adults need to be exactly that: adults. Not spread panic or rumors,” Prime Minister Stefan Löfven told Swedes in a recent televised address.

The goal is to slowly infect the population with coronavirus in order to create “herd immunity,” an approach that has been called dangerous by health authorities in other major countries and health experts within Sweden itself.

Austria: Nursing Homes Face Critical Loss of Hungarian Staff

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been having far-reaching — and in some cases unanticipated — effects on infrastructure all over Europe. One of them is the potential for a disastrous loss of foreign personnel in Austria’s retirement homes.

The National Chief Medical Officer of Hungary published her new instructions to deal with the coronavirus pandemic on March 26. One of the measures, similar to what is being done in many other countries, requires that every Hungarian citizen must undergo a health check when returning from abroad. Those who are asymptomatic have to spend a mandatory 14 days in home quarantine, but if somebody is showing actual symptoms of coronavirus infection, then they must submit to institutional quarantine for the same amount of time.

Budapest Mayor Karacsony Thanks Soros for Donation

Budapest Mayor Gergely Karacsony thanked George Soros for his donation of 1 million Euros which the billionaire, a central and contested figure of the domestic political debate, gave to the capital.

In his Facebook post, Budapest’s opposition-backed mayor wrote: “…however, it would be good if, instead of petty and offensive misinterpretations, this aid would be seen by everyone as a generous and noble gesture, as effective help. Just as we handle other donations to the city, or when we previously received one million Euros from George Soros during the red sludge disaster following the Prime Minister’s call for help.”

Karacsony then explains that according to their current plans, the donation would be used for tools to help prevent infection and for testing those medics and nurses who work in the districts’ outpatient and primary care locations and in the social services.

Coronavirus: Lockdown Working, Hospital Admissions Slowing, Say UK Scientists

There are early signs that social distancing measures are “making a difference” and that the increase of new patients being admitted to hospital with coronavirus is slowing, according to chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance.

Last week, the British government brought into effect a lockdown, resulting in the closure of most stores, workplaces, and schools. Britons were told to avoid interacting with people outside of their household and to go out only for the minimum necessities or daily exercise, with the police enforcing the rules.

COVID-19: Updated Data Implies That UK Modelling Hugely Overestimates the Expected Death Rates From Infection

[…]

Discussion

Based on the Diamond Princess data, the COVID-19 fatality rates by age-group assumed by Ferguson et al. appear to be far too pessimistic for all 60+ age groups, where the vast bulk of fatalities are projected to occur. It is quite possible that they are also too pessimistic for younger age groups as well, but unfortunately the Diamond Princess data are uninformative about death rates below age 60.

It is notable that for all the 60+ age groups the projected excess death rates, based on Diamond Princess case data, caused by COVID-19 is substantially lower than the underlying non-COVID-19 annual death rate. Even assuming, very pessimistically, that there is no overlap between the two, and that the same proportion of each age group becomes infected, projected COVID-19 related deaths from an epidemic in which the vast bulk of the population became infected with COVID-19 are only 9% of expected annual non-COVID deaths for the 60—69 age group.[13] For the 70—79 age group, the proportion is 20%, and for the 80+ age group it is 26%. Relative to the expected non-COVID deaths over two years, the approximate period during which very onerous restrictions are projected to be in force in the UK, these COVID-19 excess death proportions would each be reduced by almost half. In practice, a high proportion of people killed by COVID-19 will have serious underlying health conditions, and would be much more likely than average to die from non-COVID-19 causes.

Denmark’s Race to the Bottom

by Lars Hedegaard

[…]

Almost all Muslim states have man-made laws, but the true believers regard these laws as an affront to their religion and the regimes upholding them as illegitimate imposters. Which goes a long way towards explaining the constant instability and occasional bloodshed throughout the Muslim world.

But surely, such medieval ideas cannot long survive a confrontation with the enlightened West? Regrettably they can. …

These enclaves may aptly be described as areas ceded to a foreign power and have little in common with the rest of the country — except for their willingness to receive billions from the Danish taxpayers, who they despise.

Back to the question: What happened between 2006 and 2017 that might account for the sudden jump in Islamic devotion? If we understand that Islam’s essence is conquest until Allah’s religion reigns supreme in all corners of the Earth, it is not that difficult to explain. By the early decades of this century, Islam had become so well entrenched and the Muslims so numerous that the prospect of an Islamic takeover of Denmark suddenly appeared as a distinct possibility. And as history shows, it is always a good idea to join the winning side.

The Danes have but a few years to wake up to this new reality. If not, Mohammed will have his way.

EU Lawmakers Pressure UK to Extend Brexit Transition Due to Coronavirus

The European Parliament’s largest party grouping is pressuring the UK to extend the Brexit transition period because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The UK left the EU on January 31st, 2020, but remains in a transition period until December 31st, 2020. During this time, the UK abides by the bloc’s rules on issues such as trade and free movement whilst London and Brussels negotiate a future deal. While the EU permits for the transition to be extended for up to two years, the British Parliament passed the Brexit bill earlier this year which enshrines the exit date in law. If a deal is not struck, then the two parties will trade on World Trade Organization (WTO) terms.

How the American President is Changing Politics in Europe

by Nikola Kedhi

November 6, 2016 it is a historic date that separates two mentalities, two eras, two completely different viewpoints and two Presidents who are the polar opposite. Officially, it gave the United States of America a new Commander-in-Chief. But beyond that, it also brought into being winds of change that were bound to reach European shores as well.

Trump Changed Politics Forever

It is not an overstatement to say that the way of doing politics and campaigning was forever changed after Donald Trump’s highly unconventional campaign. He is a charismatic straight shooter, unapologetic and a talented entertainer. The former Presidential candidate dared utter opinions that were quite atypical even for the conservatives in the Republican Party. In Europe, his views were considered outrageous blasphemy by many.

In at least the last two decades, the Old Continent has not had any governing political forces similar to the Republican Party, with the exception of the British Conservatives. Most countries have been led by centrist or social democrat parties, if we are to define them by American standards. On economic issues the center-right parties such as the German CDU, the Italian Forza Italia, the French Republicans, the Spanish Rajoy-led Partido Popular, for sure espouse and defend the free market, low taxation, less bureaucracy and deregulation. Yet, on social issues, they resemble the American Democratic Party. It is difficult for Europeans to understand the Americans’ fascination with guns, obsession with borders, preservation of cultural ties and tradition, opposition to marijuana, skepticism regarding global warming and their overall viewpoint on life…

Hungary: The Truth About Viktor Orban’s Emergency Powers

Yesterday, the Hungarian Parliament granted emergency powers to Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government to deal with the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Many in the international media have been claiming that this gives him dictatorial powers. The truth, however, is very different.

Parliament was originally asked to decide on the measure in an expedited emergency vote last week, which would have required that 80% of MPs voted in favor of it. It was defeated due to lack of support from the opposition parties, however, so the government resubmitted the same bill through the normal procedure, which requires a two-thirds majority.

New Oxford Study Hidden by Mainstream Media: Millions Already Infected, Recovered, & Immune

A new Oxford study said that millions of people in the United Kingdom (and therefore, in other countries) have likely already gotten the coronavirus, recovered from it, and are immune. But the mainstream media doesn’t want this information to get out, and some went to work quickly telling people “not to believe it.”

A newer model, which predicts the progression of the novel coronavirus, set off governments’ reactions around the globe and has systematically ruined lives across the Western world (not because of the virus, but the reaction to it). pandemic produced by researchers at Imperial College London set off alarms across the world and was a major factor in several governments’ decisions to lock things down. But a new model from Oxford University is challenging its accuracy, the Financial Times reports.

The head of the study, professor Sunetra Gupta, an Oxford theoretical epidemiologist, said she still supports the U.K.’s decision to shut down the country to suppress the virus even if her research winds up being proven correct. But she also doesn’t appear to be a big fan of the work done by the Imperial College team. “I am surprised that there has been such unqualified acceptance of the Imperial model,” she said.

[Comment: Globalists used the Imperial College model to sell globalist tyranny to a sufficiently cowed and terrified public.]

Spanish Government Being Sued for Encouraging Mass Gatherings Right as Coronavirus Hit

The Spanish government is being sued for gross negligence after it encouraged citizens to attend giant feminist rallies across the country on March 8, potentially exposing hundreds of thousands of people to coronavirus.

“A class action lawsuit filed on March 19 accuses the Spanish government — highly ideological by any standard, as the Communist coalition partner, Podemos, was founded with seed money from the Venezuelan government — of knowingly endangering public safety by encouraging the public to participate in more than 75 feminist marches, held across Spain on March 8, to mark International Women’s Day,” writes Soeren Kern.

The rallies were attended by Spain’s deputy prime minister, as well as the prime minister’s wife and mother.

Sweden is Not Using Authoritarian Controls & Economic Shutdowns to Fight the Pandemic

Sweden is perhaps the only country that is not demolishing it’s people’s means of making a living in order to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Their approach is much different, and they are still thriving while we are all suffering in what could very well be the beginning of another Great Depression.

UK: ‘This is What a Police State is Like’: Ex-Supreme Court Justice Sounds Alarm on Lock Down Overreach

A recently retired supreme court judge has sounded the clearest warning yet over the major threat to the freedom of the British people by overenthusiastic police forces responding to the unprecedented demands made by the government over coronavirus.

Speaking to the BBC, Lord Sumption — who stood down from the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom in 2018 as one of the most senior judges in the country — called the actions by one Police force in particular “frankly disgraceful”. While noting the majority of police forces had acted with restraint so far, the prominent lawyer warned the public against giving up hard-won freedoms while in a panic and craving security over coronavirus.

UK: NHS Nurses Banned From Wearing Uniforms in Public After Abuse

NHS nurses have been told to not wear their uniforms in public after some had been discriminated against and verbally abused in public, spat at, and called even “disease spreaders”.

“Until further notice, can all nurses no longer wear their uniforms to travel to and from their place of work… There have been reported cases of some nurses being challenged by the public so this is not just to protect you from carrying anything on your uniforms but potential abuse,” said an email sent to nurses on Thursday and reported on Monday.

Libya: NGO Says 156 Pro-Turkish Syrian Mercenaries Dead

(ANSAmed) — BEIRUT, MARCH 30 — A total of 156 pro-Turkish Syrian militants have died in Libya in the past two months, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

It said in the past 24 hours, the bodies of five fighters who died in the ongoing battle around Tripoli were sent back to Syria.

The fighting is taking place between the forces of General Khalifa Haftar, backed by Russia and Egypt, and those of the government in Tripoli, backed by Turkey and recognised by the United Nations.

SOHR said in recent weeks Turkey has sent 4,750 Syrian mercenaries to the Libyan front, while another 1,900 were transferred to training camps in Turkey to await airlifts to Libya.

Previously, various Syrian sources confirmed the existence of transfers of Syrian mercenaries to the Libyan front by Russia as well, to support Haftar’s forces.

Erdogan’s Bluster Could Turn Turkey Into the Next COVID-19 Hotbed

by Alex Kassidiaris

There is no doubt that President Recep Erdogan has been trying to downgrade the impact of Covid-19, since the very first reports about the virus. Turkey has raised international concerns, as Ankara was insisting up until March 10 that no Covid-19 incidents had reached the country. This claim has been particularly controversial, considering that the new Istanbul airport is one of the busiest hubs in the world, while simultaneously there has been a massive number of Chinese tourists and business travelers all across Turkey over the previous months. And of course, we should highlight that Turkey borders Iran, the second most impacted country after China back in early March. The allegation that Covid-19 has not reached Turkey by then was utterly bogus and misleading.

Turkey’s Misinformation and False Assertions

Since the beginning of the global outbreak, Turkey has been reluctant to address the problem and take decisive countermeasures. Instead, the government has adopted a rather irresponsible stance, implicating that an outbreak in Turkey was highly unlikely despite the signs from other countries were clear and should be concerning. There has also been considerable delay in terms of accurate and reliable governmental guidance on how people should respond to Covid-19. There have also been reports about Turkish people trying dubious recipes in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

Since the Covid-19 outbreak has been moving from China to the Middle East and Europe, Turkey should react with transparency and responsibility in order to primarily protect their citizens and further the safety of the international community. However, the government decided to downplay the significant threat from the virus and have been trying until recently to ascertain the Turkish people that they should not be particularly worried about it. Once more and more cases were reported within Turkey, then the much-anticipated response came but it would not be farfetched to say that it’s been “too little too late”…

EU Gives 240 Mln for Syrians in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon

Regional Trust Fund has provided 2 bln total now

(ANSAmed) — BRUSSELS, MARCH 31 — With a 240-million-euro aid package, the EU on Tuesday announced increased support for Syrian refugees in Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon.

In total, the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis has provided more than 2 billion euros in financial aid. The fund was originally set up in 2014 in order to tackle the humanitarian crisis caused by the Syrian war and will operate until 2023. Some 168 million euros of the aid package announced Tuesday will support Syrians in Lebanon, with 57.5 million for schools and facilities for children, 60.5 million for Syrian refugees in Jordan, and 10 million for Syrians in Iraq, according to a European Commission statement. EU High Representative Josep Borrell said in the statement announcing the package that the aid was a way to continue supporting Syrians and neighbouring countries in the tenth year of the crisis affecting the war-town country, as a way to help them build a future and deal with the most immediate challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moscow’s Lockdown Could Prevent 100k Virus Deaths, Study Says

Up to 117,000 people might have died from the coronavirus by fall had Moscow not introduced its partial lockdown, according to a study cited by the Meduza news website Monday.

The Russian capital enacted an indefinite citywide quarantine Monday to slow the spread of the pandemic that has infected more than 1,613 Muscovites out of 2,337 nationwide cases. More than 40 other Russian regions have adopted similar measures at the prime minister’s recommendation.

Moscow’s quarantine could result in 250 eventual deaths from coronavirus instead of the 117,000 deaths projected by September without any measures, according to Moscow State University Associate Professor Mikhail Tamm’s model.

New Russian Missile System Overcomes NATO Defenses

Russia has deployed a new type of missile at its Kaliningrad base aimed at overcoming NATO missile defense systems in Poland and Lithuania.

The NATO alliance has been building up its forces in the Baltic region in recent years, which is viewed as a threat by Russia’s leadership. Its latest attempt to counteract NATO’s forces is the Smerch mobile ultra-long-range multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), which has replaced the BM-21 Grad, according to a report at the Bulgarian Military website. The Smerch, or Tornado, which is now in service with Russia’s units in Kaliningrad, is more powerful and has a longer range.

Corona Jihad: Tabligh-e-Jamaat is Now the Cause of Deadliest Threat of COVID 19 in India.

Indian War against Corona is now highly threatened by the Tabligh-e-Jamaat and like minded fanatic Muslims, very unfortunately.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Haridwar | March 31, 2020:: Undoubtedly, Tabligh-e-Jamaat is now the prime carrier and deadliest threat for of COVID 19 in India.

Though, the Maulana who led Nizamuddin gathering in the first half of March, has been booked for violating govt orders of complete lock-down under National Disaster, but by the Grace of Allah, Corona is now spreading everywhere in India as his Gajab (curse) from Delhi with these fanatic Tabligh men.

The markaz (centre) in the south Delhi neighbourhood organised a Tabligh-e-Jamaat from March 1-15 and at least 2,000 people, including foreigners from many countries from Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal. Bangladesh, Middle East, Indonesia, Thailand+, Kyrgyzstan, Algeria, Tunisia, Belgium, Italy and Indians from across the country, attended the gathering. On Sunday night, many residents of the centre started re started showing symptoms for COVID-19 and police and paramilitary officials locked down the area but authorities fear a possible spread of the virus which now comes as true.

As of March 21, there were about 1,746 persons staying in Hazrat Nizamuddin Markaz. Of these, 216 were foreigners and 1530 were Indians. Additionally, about 824 foreigners had been, as on March 21, doing Chilla activities in various parts of the country, as reported by Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.

107 people who attended Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi have entered Madhya Pradesh. I have ordered to identify them immediately. Police have identified some who are being taken to quarantine centres. Search for others is on, as told by Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan

82 people have been identified in Madhya Pradesh who attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area. Madhya Pradesh CM requested others to come out and declare themselves to undergo Corona test.

15 people who attended the 2020 Markaz at Nizamuddin in Delhi) and their relatives have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in Telangana. At present, 77 active positive cases are being treated in various hospitals of state, told Telangana Public Health & Family Welfare Department.

7 members of Shillong Markaz who attended Tablighi Jamaat meet in Delhi’s Nizamuddin have not returned to Meghalaya. They are not traceable anywhere…

A Frank Open Letter From an Emergency Room Doctor on #COVID-19 — the “Surge” Is Coming

[…]

Every day at the hospital we are meeting constantly and changing policies—directions from world, federal, and state programs change multiple times per day. This is an unheard of pace of change. Here are the basics about the Covid-19 illness. The virus is highly contagious. It is predicted that eventually, nearly everyone will be exposed and been infected.

A very few very lucky people may not develop any symptoms at all. The vast majority of people will get a mild syndrome of variable symptoms including “flu”—fevers, achy-ness, upper respiratory congestion (ie nose and throat symptoms). Then they will get over it. And probably wonder what the big fuss about it was. Younger children may have an even milder syndrome.

However, during the typical 7 days of mild disease and then another 7 days later, all infected patients will be spreading this virus. If you turn up to the Emergency Department with mild illness, you will be screened (important factors such as vital signs and your oxygen saturation percentage), and likely sent home with 2 important instructions: signs of worsening illness, and strict self-quarantining precautions.

However, if you are unlucky, after the initial mild syndrome, instead of getting better, you may get worse. You may develop worse “flu” symptoms and then pneumonia—filling of the lungs with infected fluid.

Chinese Propaganda Accounts and Outlets Rush to Paint China as the Coronavirus Hero

After COVID-19 became a worldwide problem, the Chinese government-owned media has focused their reports on discrediting the West’s actions against the pandemic, positioning China as a pioneer in treating the new coronavirus.

In reality, it was China’s censorship that caused the rest of the world to lack a full understanding of what to prepare for.

The fight against COVID-19 has not been limited exclusively to the health field. Since the WHO recognized the new coronavirus on January 9 of this year, China’s government has worked tirelessly to try to control the problem. However, among the strategies applied by the government is that of appearing to be the heroes during the pandemic.

No significant trends

The data show that 10 of 18 stations in this very rural region show zero warming or cooling! This defies the claims that climate change is global and unprecedented. The reality is that nothing unusual is happening.

The Mounting Human Cost of China’s Coronavirus Censorship

Covid-19, the condition that first rose from a wet market in Wuhan, is now crippling a better part of the world. While China says that it is recovering and is returning to normalcy, it is worth noting that the country has time and again wiped evidence, manipulated the state media, and blatantly lied.

This has been the same way the country tackled the SARS outbreak— hiding facts and silencing whistleblowers.

Sounds like this woman doesn’t understand what “quarantine” means and if she’s stuck in a hotel room she can hardly have a kitchen to her disposal.

I’m sorry for nitpicking, but this once more such a Western Europe-centered article it’s completely wrong to use just “Europe” in it! Europe isn’t just the patch of land between UK and Germany, you know?

  3. Well, nurses SHOULD NOT wear their working attire outside hospital, it is the same like going to operation theatre in your outside clothes.

  4. Wearing Masks in Austrian supermarkets now compulsary-that’s if you can a mask? In England all masks have gone to our National Helath system and for those working in medic situations. Any that were available were taken by Chinese living in the UK.

    • I found your experience on my own 2 months ago. After reading about the CCP I went to a home improvement store (Lowe’s) looking for n-95 20 and 10 count packages. All I could find were 3 count packages, so I grabbed 3 or 4 packs, and when I checked out I ask the clerk, “where are your 10 and 20 count pack of n-95 masks?” He answered me by saying 2 weeks before I came to his store Chinese people came in and bought all the large count packs to send to China. Also, this clerk checked to see if any large count packs were left in the store’s storage, as well as checking to see if any other Lowe’s in the metro area had said packages. No luck, and he wasn’t aware when a new shipment of masks would be made available.

      • a german sayed the same.chinese buyed all the masks and send them to china long before the germans were afraid….they do it all the time.some years ago they buyed all food for babys and sent it to chine, because many babys died because of chinese moneymakers who put chemicals into milk…
