President Trump announced Friday that the United States will withdraw its signature from the UN Arms Trade Treaty after concerns were raised by 2nd Amendment activists that it might infringe on Americans’ right to bear arms.
“Under my administration we will never surrender American sovereignty to anyone, we will never allow foreign bureaucrats to trample on your Second Amendment freedom and that is why my administration will never ratify the U.N. trade treaty,” Trump said during the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Indianapolis, according to Fox News.
“I am officially announcing today that the United States will be revoking the effect of America’s signature from this badly misguided treaty, we’re taking our signature back,” Trump added.
The treaty, signed in 2013 by former President Barack Obama, seeks to regulate international trade in conventional firearms to “prevent and eradicate the illicit trade in conventional arms and prevent their diversion.”

A 19-year-old man armed with an assault-type rifle opened fire inside a Southern Californiasynagogue on Saturday as worshipers prepared to celebrate the last day of Passover, killing a woman and injuring three others, authorities said.

Injuries Reported After Shooting at California Synagogue — Live Updates
San Diego sheriffs have detained a suspect in connection to a shooting incident at the Chabad of Poway synagogue, CBS affiliate KFMB reports. A hospital said it’s treating four people injured in the shooting but didn’t know the extent of their injuries. Derryl Acosta, a spokesman for Palomar Health Medical Center Hospital, said the four patients were admitted around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, a man walked into the Chabad synagogue in Poway and started shooting. Police say there were “a lot of injuries” with varying degrees of severity, KFMB reports.
The shooter then took off down the street where he was eventually taken into custody, the station reported. Authorities are confident there was only one shooter…

Some regions experiencing over a 50% increase in plant life
In direct contradiction to the scare stories about carbon dioxide being relentlessly pushed by the climate change alarmists, a scientific study published in Nature Climate Change and highlighted by NASA reveals that rising carbon dioxide levels are having a tremendously positive impact on the re-greening of planet Earth over the last three decades, with some regions experiencing over a 50% increase in plant life.
The study, entitled, “Greening of the Earth and its drivers,” used satellite data to track and map the expansion of green plant growth across the globe from 1982 — 2015. Published in 2016, this study found that rising atmospheric carbon dioxide causes “fertilization” of plant life, resulting in a remarkable acceleration of increased “greening” across every Earth continent. As the study abstract explains:
We show a persistent and widespread increase of growing season integrated LAI (greening) over 25% to 50% of the global vegetated area… Factorial simulations with multiple global ecosystem models suggest that CO2 fertilization effects explain 70% of the observed greening trend…
In other words, the planet is getting greener, and we have rising CO2 levels to thank for it, since rising CO2 accounts for about 70% of the increase in planet-wide greening, according to scientists. The more CO2 we release into the atmosphere, the more nutrients are available for plants, and the more rapidly the Earth is re-greened.
The following compilation map shows which land masses have experienced expanded greening since 1982. As the legend explains, the light green areas represent a 25% increase in green plants, and the dark green areas represent a 50% or greater increase:
Natural News readers may note this is exactly what we’ve been reporting for over a decade. It’s basic science, of course, since plants use carbon dioxide to thrive. Shooting at Synagogue in Powar Near San Diego, Four Sent to Hospital
POWAY, Calif. — A shooting at a synagogue outside San Diego where worshippers were celebrating the last day of Passover sent four people to the hospital Saturday, but the extent of their injuries was not unclear, officials said.
There was no known threat after a man was detained in the shooting at the Chabad of Poway, but authorities boosted patrols at places of worship as a precaution, San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit said.
The shooting came exactly six months since a shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue killed 11 people in the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history.
Officials say San Diego County deputies were called just before 11:30 a.m. Four patients were admitted to Palomar Health Medical Center Hospital around 12:30 p.m., spokesman Derryl Acosta said.
A handful of police cars were parked outside the synagogue in the city of Poway, just over 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of San Diego. Crime tape surrounded the street in front of the building.
Passover began on April 19 and was ending Saturday.

Pan Am Flight 103 — Senator Milkovich tells the sordid story of how the FBI and CIA worked together to cover-up their unlawful activities and shift the focus of guilt to innocent parties. The bombing of Pan Am 103, killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew, is the disaster known as the Lockerbie bombing.
According to the voluminous amount of research compiled and documented by Senator Milkovich in Chapter Three of his book, there were two, and possible three objectives sought for in the bombing of Pan Am 103. One was retaliation by Libya for American military strikes against Libyan fighter planes, ships and cities in the early and mid-1980s. When Pan Am 103 exploded on December 21, 1988, it was carrying Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) officer, Charles McKee, along with his fellow officers. McKee and his colleagues were flying home to America to blow the whistle on a CIA-assisted drug ring that was trafficking heroin from the Middle East to American cities. As TIME magazine reported, the likely explanation for the bombing, supported by independent intelligence experts, was that U.S. operatives “targeted Flight 103 in order to kill the hostage-rescue team.” This would prevent disclosure of what McKee’s team had learned. That theory was also supported by the fact that the CIA showed up immediately at the scene of the crash, took McKee’s briefcase, and returned it empty.

Why Obama and Clinton Tweeted About ‘Easter Worshippers,’ Not Christians
Sometimes, a few sentences tell you more about a person—and, more importantly, an ideology—than a learned thesis.
That is the case with tweets from Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama in response to the mass murder of more than 300 Christians and others in Sri Lanka.
Their tweets are worth serious analysis because they reveal a great deal about the left. Of course, they reveal a great deal about Clinton and Obama…
And that, too, is important. Many Americans—especially conservatives and “independents”—are more interested in individual politicians than in political ideologies.
Many conservatives have long been fixated on Clinton—so much so that probably any other Democrat would have defeated Donald Trump, as conservative anger specifically toward her propelled many people to the polls.
Similarly, Republican Never-Trumpers are fixated on Trump rather than policy. They care more about Trump’s personal flaws than about the mortal dangers the left poses to America and the West or about the uniquely successful conservative policies Trump promulgates.
And independents all claim to vote “for the person, not the party.”
Only leftists understand that one must vote left no matter who the Democrat is, no matter who the Republican opponent is. Leftists are completely interchangeable: There is no ideological difference among the 20 or so Democrats running for president. Mayor Pete Buttigieg is not one degree to the right of Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren.
That is why it is important to understand Clinton and Obama’s tweets: to understand the left, not to understand her or him.
Here are the tweets:
Obama: “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka.”
Three hours later, Clinton tweeted: “On this holy weekend for many faiths, we must stand united against hatred and violence. I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshippers and travelers in Sri Lanka.”
As they both spelled “worshipers” the same idiosyncratic way and used the term “Easter worshippers,” it is likely they either had the same writers or Clinton copied Obama.
Here’s what’s critical: Neither used the word “Christians.” And in order to avoid doing so, they went so far as to make up a new term—”Easter worshippers”—heretofore unknown to any Christian.
When Jews were murdered at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Clinton mentioned the synagogue in a tweet. But in her post-Sri Lanka tweet, despite the bombing of three churches filled with Christians, Clinton made no mention of church or churches.
In a tweet after the massacre of Muslims in New Zealand, she wrote that her heart broke for “the global Muslim community.” But in her latest tweet, not a word about Christians or the global Christian community.
Obama similarly wrote in his tweet about New Zealand that he was grieving with “the Muslim community” over the “horrible massacre in the Mosques.” But in his tweet about Sri Lanka, there is no mention of Christians or churches.
The reason neither of them mentioned Christians or churches is that the left has essentially forbidden mention of all the anti-Christian murders perpetrated by Muslims in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and of all the Muslim desecration of churches in Europe, Africa, and anywhere else.
This is part of the same phenomenon—that I and others have documented—of British police and politicians covering up six years of rape of 1,400 English girls by Muslim “grooming gangs” in Rotherham and elsewhere in England.
Essentially, the left’s rule is that nothing bad—no matter how true—may be said about Muslims or Islam and nothing good—no matter how true—may be said of Christians or Christianity.
Clinton’s post-New Zealand tweet also included these words: “We must continue to fight the perpetuation and normalization of Islamophobia and racism in all its forms. White supremacist terrorists must be condemned by leaders everywhere. Their murderous hatred must be stopped.”
She made sure to condemn “Islamophobia,” but she wrote not a word about the far more destructive and widespread hatred of Christians in the Muslim world, seen in Muslims’ virtual elimination of the Christian communities in the Middle East, the regular murder and kidnappings of Coptic Christians in Egypt, and the murder of Christians in Nigeria.
She calls on “leaders everywhere” to condemn “white supremacist terrorists,” one of the smallest hate groups on Earth, but never calls on leaders everywhere to condemn Islamist terrorists, the largest hate group on Earth.
These two tweets tell you a lot about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. But far more importantly, they tell you a lot about the left.

(ANSA) — Rome, April 18 — There will be 14,000 fewer doctors and dentists in the national health service in 15 years’ time, the Osservasalute observatory said Thursday.
Only 42,000 or 75% of the 56,000 doctors and dentists now active will be replaced, it said.

Study: Radical Islamic Terrorism Accounts for 91 Percent of Terror Victims in Europe
The recently released Black and White Book of Terrorism in Europe has brought to light that radical Islamic terrorists have accounted for 91 percent of all of the victims of terror attacks since 2000.

UK: Poll: Brexit Party in Third Place for National Voting Intentions, Ahead of Pro-Remain Lib Dems
The Brexit Party is gaining ground in national election voting intentions, coming third behind Labour and the Tories and ahead of establishment Remainer party the Liberal Democrats.
The poll by YouGov, conducted between the 23rd and 24th of April, found that if there were a nation-wide General Election tomorrow, 30 per cent would vote Labour, 27 per cent for Conservatives, and 14 per cent for the Brexit Party. When Britons were asked the same question the week prior, support for the Brexit Party was at 12 per cent — representing a two point increase.

Iraq’s Billion-Dollar Used Car Parts Paradise
Iraq is a wonderland for used car parts from the West. Cars that get written off after an accident get a second life there. It’s a money machine, involving billions every year. Judit Neurink reports from Irbil.
“It’s a money-making machine,” says garage owner Karhi Bakr, 59, about the import of secondhand car parts into the Kurdistan capital of Irbil.
Containers full of parts from cars written off after accidents in the West continue to pour into the city, which has become a major hub for the trade. Some of the 200 or so Kurdish traders involved have become very rich, Bakr says. “Their profits are enormous. If I had a partner willing to invest, I would also go to Europe to collect used parts.”
For now, Bakr only uses parts that others have imported to repair German cars in his small garage in Irbil’s “Car Quarter.” During his 17 years in Denmark, he specialized in Mercedes repairs. Here in Irbil, most of his customers ask for secondhand parts. Only those who can’t afford genuine parts will buy the cheap, poor-quality Chinese copies. “Secondhand is usually as good as new but goes for half the price. Chinese parts sell for around a quarter the price of new ones.”

UAE Figure Skater Urges Muslim Girls to Break Barriers
Zahra Lari, the first Emirati to take part in winter uni games
(ANSAmed) — NAPLES, MARCH 25 — UAE fire skater Zahra Lari said her performance at the Universiadi winter World University Games in Krasnoyarsk wasn’t the best but the important thing was the message she wanted to give young Muslim women: “Follow your heart and don’t let anyone stop you”.
Lari was the first Emirati woman to participate in the winter edition of the Universiadi, recently held in the Russian city, in Siberia, far from Dubai, where the 24-year-old grew up and learned how to skate.
In an interview published on the official website of the International University sports Federation (FISU), Lari urged young Muslim women to break barriers: “No matter what you do in life there’s always going to be people criticizing you. Just surround yourself with a good team and your family and you’ll definitely succeed”.
And Emirati women are following her lead, participating in sports they previously could not compete in, like soccer, swimming and il taekwondo.
The young skater started late compared to her colleagues. She learned how to skate at 10 but progressed fast and now wants to reach the top and break taboos. She was the first Muslim athlete to skate in front of an international jury wearing the hijab, also becoming the face of an international sports brand. “It’s amazing and it shows that these big brands really want to support an idea”, she said. “They believe in me and they know that I can do it, so now I just have to believe in myself”.
Lari was the first UAE athlete to compete at the FISU Winter Games and carried her country’s flag at the opening ceremony.
“My performance was not the best and my scores were not the best. But it’s a learning experience. I have to go to these bigger competitions, gain more experience [and learn] how to control the pressure and the nerves”, she was quoted as saying by FISU.
However, Lari said her message counted more than her scores.
“It’s just me trying to show the world that, yes I am covered, but I can (still) do what I love and do it at an international level”, she said.
“So that’s the main message that I’m trying to send to girls, don’t let anything stop you from doing what you love and especially because you’re covered”.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Colombo | April 27, 2019:: The bodies of 15 people, including six children, were discovered at the site of a fierce overnight gun battle on the east coast of Sri Lanka, a military spokesman said on Saturday, six days after suicide bombers killed more than 250 people, mostly non-Muslims injuring another 450.
The shootout between troops and suspected Islamist militants erupted on Friday evening in Sainthamaruthu in Ampara, to the south of the town of Batticaloa, site of one of the Easter Sunday blasts at three churches and four luxury hotels.
A police spokesman said that three suspected suicide bombers were among the 15 dead after the shoot out.
One child caught in the crossfire was admitted to hospital.
Military spokesman Sumith Atapattu said in a statement that as troops headed towards the safe house three explosions were triggered and gunfire began.
“Troops retaliated and raided the safe house where a large cache of explosives had been stored,” he said in a statement.
He said the militants were suspected members of the domestic Islamist group National Towheed Jama’at (NTJ), which has been suspected for last Sunday’s attacks.
Bomb-making materials, dozens of gelignite sticks and thousands of metal balls were found in a search of a separate house in the same area, the military said. Sri Lanka has been turned as another battle field of Jihad.
The government has said nine homegrown, well-educated and financially sound suicide bombers carried out the Easter Sunday attacks, eight of whom had been identified. One was a woman.
Police said on Friday they were trying to track down 140 people they believe have links with Islamic State, which claimed responsibility for the suicide bombings.
Police have detained at least 76 people, including foreigners from Syria and Egypt, in their investigations so far. Twenty were arrested in the past 24 hours alone, they said.
Islamic State provided no evidence to back its claim that it was behind the attacks. If true, it would be one of the worst attacks carried out by the group outside Iraq and Syria.
The extremist group released a video on Tuesday showing eight men, all but one with their faces covered, standing under a black Islamic State flag and declaring their loyalty to its leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

China Plans to Build a Moon Base Near the Lunar South Pole
China plans to build a scientific research station on the moon in “about 10 years,” according to the state news agency Xinhua.
The China National Space Administration (CSNA) intends to build the research station in the region of the moon’s south pole, Zhang Kejian, head of CSNA, said in a public statement, Xinhua reported. That’s a bit of a departure from the six successful NASA Apollo moon landings, which took place closer to the moon’s equator between 1969 and 1972.

Former State Department Official Spied for China Since 2007
China’s Ministry of State Security successfully obtained State Department internal documents from an embassy office manager who was paid in cash and gifts, according to court documents in the case of Candace Claiborne, a spy for China since 2007.
Claiborne, 62, a former State Department office manager posted to both Beijing and Shanghai, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a single conspiracy charge of defrauding the government by lying to federal agents about extensive contacts with two MSS intelligence officers.

UN Secretary General Guterres Hypes China’s Belt and Road Initiative
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres attended the sixth annual forum, held in Beijing, to honor China’s ambitious multinational infrastructure program known as the Belt and Road Initiative. As described by the World Bank, the Belt and Road Initiative “aims to strengthen infrastructure, trade, and investment links between China and some 65 other countries that account collectively for over 30 percent of global GDP, 62 percent of population, and 75 percent of known energy reserves.” The links, involving networks of ports, rails and roads, include countries in Central, South and Southeast Asia, the Gulf Countries, and North Africa. China is also extending its initiative to Europe, where it has made significant investments in ports.
Secretary General Guterres was effusive in his praise of China and its Belt and Road Initiative, which he said will benefit the world and help accelerate the achievement of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. “I want to recognize China for its central role as a pillar of international cooperation and multilateralism,” the Secretary General said. “The five pillars of the Belt and Road — policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people exchanges — are intrinsically linked to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are conceptual pillars that can be translated into real-life progress for people.”
Secretary General Guterres left out of his encomium some real-world facts. The Belt and Road Initiative is not all milk and honey for the countries on the receiving end of China’s extended helping hand. “Some countries complained about unsustainable debt, while others criticized the overwhelming numbers of Chinese workers imported for construction,” the New York Times reported.

Florida’s Crackdown on Sanctuary Cities Begins
Florida appears poised to join a righteous law-and-order backlash against so-called sanctuary cities that shield and harbor illegal aliens in defiance of the nation’s immigration laws, after a pro-immigration enforcement bill passed the state’s House of Representatives.
The Sunshine State was home to 775,000 illegal aliens in 2016, according to Pew Research Center.
The state is also home to 15 municipalities that are sanctuary cities, according to Floridians for Immigration Enforcement, which prefers to label those jurisdictions “anarchy cities.”
“Not only do they disobey the law, but I question their loyalty to this country,” David Caulkett, the group’s vice president, said last month.
A bill that cracks down on sanctuary jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities easily passed the GOP-controlled Florida House and now has a good chance at being approved by the Republican-dominated Florida Senate.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, urged lawmakers to approve legislation taking aim at the state’s outposts of immigration lawlessness.
“I’m asking the Legislature to send me a bill during this legislative session to address sanctuary cities and counties in Florida,” DeSantis tweeted February 26. “I’m also calling on more local law enforcement to work with the federal government to ensure our immigration laws are enforced and justice is upheld.”

So-called ‘remigration’ posters with the words, “Go home. The war is over. Syria needs you,” have been appearing all over Berlin.
They are linked to a website called ‘Remigration’ which features a petition which states that assimilation has not worked and calls for the German government to start deporting failed asylum seekers.
“Cultural assimilation is only possible if the demographic majorities are also on the side of the indigenous population,” states the petition, noting that Islamized “parallel societies” have been created in Germany instead.

A Swedish artist’s jail term was extended after he committed the “hate crime” of saying that Muslim migrants do not integrate and that rape culture is a massive problem in Middle Eastern cultures.

This is a very difficult article for me to write. As a young child I was a member of the Cub Scouts, and I still have very fond memories from those days. Throughout my life I always had a tremendous amount of respect for the Boy Scouts, and so it greatly saddened me to learn about the abuse that has been running rampant in that organization. Of course this is just a very small part of a much larger trend that is plaguing our society, but if this kind of abuse is pervasive even among the Boy Scouts, what organization is truly safe for America’s kids? Have we gotten to the point as a society where our children are literally not safe anywhere?

Just so G of V readers in the U.S.A. will get the import of that, there are 3.78 litres per US gallon, so residents of Canada’s Left Coast are paying $6.77 Cdn dollars a US gallon, which is $ 5.02 U.S. dollars … higher than California’s $4.06 by nearly a buck !
On the extreme East coast, in Newfoundland, where I am, our price is $1.33 per litre, or $3.73 U.S … still no picnic ! And we’re perhaps the poorest province in Canada – despite having a booming offshore oil industry.
(But of course we have a Liberal party provincial government, which didn’t even squeak at Trudeau’s carbon tax nonsense, so that explains a lot.)
