Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/22/2018

As I mentioned a few days ago, Dymphna and I are having problems with our home wireless network. I’ve been working to resolve the issues, and we are now up and running with a new version of the network. However, the difficulties have slowed me down, especially those involving this old computer (the one that hosts my Auxiliary Brain), which has developed indigestion from the transition.

That’s what’s been slowing me down, and may reduce my output for a while longer. However, I intend to keep posting the news feed every night, if I possibly can.

Middle Class Destroyed: 50 Percent of All American Workers Make Less Than $30,533 a Year

The middle class in America has been declining for decades, and we continue to get even more evidence of the catastrophic damage that has already been done. According to the Social Security Administration, the median yearly wage in the United States is just $30,533 at this point. That means 50 percent of all American workers make at least that much per year, but that also means that 50 percent of all American workers make that much or less per year. When you divide $30,533 by 12, you get a median monthly wage of just over $2,500. But of course nobody can provide a middle class standard of living for a family of four for just $2,500 a month, and we will discuss this further below. So in most households at least two people are working, and in many cases multiple jobs are being taken on by a single individual in a desperate attempt to make ends meet. The American people are working harder than ever, and yet the middle class just continues to erode.

The deeper we dig into the numbers provided by the Social Security Administration, the more depressing they become. Here are just a few examples from their official website…

[Comment: Middle class is a bulwark against implementation of Communism. The first thing communists do in their quest for power is destroy the middle class. Western civilization has been under a fabian socialist attack for decades.]

Romania: Unicredit: Growth Will Slow Down in 2018 and 2019

From 7% last year to 3,7-3,3%

(ANSA) — BELGRADE, 22 OTT — The economic growth in Romania will slow down from almost 7% in 2017 to 3,7% in 2018 and 3.3% in 2019, according to UniCredit economists forecasts quoted by the specialized portal Romania Insider.

“Political and fiscal risks will dominate the agenda this year and next,” a UniCredit report on Romania said, adding that the slowing down of the growth is mainly due to “tighter financial conditions, limited scope for fiscal stimulus and slow income growth.” Among the potential reasons for the economy slowing down, UniCredit mentioned also the poor harvest in 2018 and weaker European demand in 2019.

American Pravda: Racial Discrimination at Harvard

This last week trial began in Boston federal court for the current lawsuit in which a collection of Asian-American organizations are charging Harvard University with racial discrimination in its college admissions policies. The New York Times, our national newspaper of record, has been providing almost daily coverage to developments in the case, with the stories sometimes reaching the front page.

Last Sunday, just before the legal proceedings began, the Times ran a major article explaining the general background of the controversy, and I was very pleased to see that my own past research was cited as an important factor sparking the lawsuit, with the reporter even including a direct link to my 26,000 word 2012 cover-story “The Myth of American Meritocracy,” which had provided strong quantitative evidence of anti-Asian racial quotas.

Andrew Gillum Graduated Training School That Spawned Soros Army of Revolutionaries

Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum graduated from an Oakland, California-based training school for progressive revolutionaries that has spawned a list of activists who have gone on to become the who’s who of the far-left leadership world, with many taking senior positions at organizations financed by billionaire George Soros.

In scores of cases, graduates of the Rockwood Leadership Institute founded or directed notorious Soros-financed activist groups, such as Black Lives Matter, Media Matters for America, MoveOn.org and the Tides Foundation, one of the nation’s largest funders of progressive groups.

Soros’s own Open Society Foundations sent top staff to Rockwood for training. Notorious radicals Van Jones and Linda Sarsour are among the many famous names listed as alums.

Gillum is listed as a 2012 Rockwood alum. The Florida politician’s involvement with the radical school was not cursory or symbolic. Only five months ago, Gillum boasted in a speech to the Center for Environmental Health that he attended the institute “for about a year and a half.”

Anonymous Gay Democrat Male Accuses Corey Booker of Sexual Assault Only 4 Years Ago… Will Spartacus Demand an FBI Investigation?

Mills reminds everyone that the allegation of sexual abuse against Booker, if true, took place while he was a sitting Senator: The sexual assault allegation against #BathroomBooker matters because the accuser claims the incident took place while Booker was actively in office. I’d hate to think NJ constituents approve of him abusing his position as Senator to coerce gay men into giving him oral sex.

California Company That Hires Protesters is Accused of Extortion

Paid protesters are real.

Crowds on Demand, a Beverly Hills company that’s an outspoken player in the business of hiring protesters, boasts on its website that it provides its clients with “protests, rallies, flash-mobs, paparazzi events and other inventive PR stunts. … We provide everything including the people, the materials and even the ideas.”

But according to a lawsuit filed by a Czech investor, Crowds on Demand also takes on more sordid assignments. Zdenek Bakala claims the company has been used to run an extortion campaign against him.

Bakala has accused Prague investment manager Pavol Krupa of hiring Crowds on Demand to pay protesters to march near his home in Hilton Head, S.C., and to call and send emails to the Aspen Institute and Dartmouth College, where Bakala is on advisory boards, urging them to cut ties to him. Bakala alleges that Krupa has threatened to continue and expand the campaign unless Bakala pays him $23 million.

Crowds on Demand founder Adam Swart and Krupa neither confirmed nor denied that they are working together. They declined to answer specific questions about Bakala’s allegations, though Swart, in an emailed statement, called the claims meritless.

“Not only will I vigorously defend myself against the allegations in the complaint but I am also evaluating whether to bring my own claims against Mr. Bakala,” Swart said.

Dozens of Key Midterm Races Could Go Either Way, And Control of Congress Hangs in the Balance

The 2018 midterm elections are probably the most highly anticipated midterm elections in modern American history, and the major news networks plan to give that night nearly the same level of coverage that they would give to a presidential election. Normally by now we would have a really good idea what the results will ultimately look like, but this time around we really do not know what will happen on November 6th. There are literally dozens of key races around the country that could go either way, and it is all going to come down to voter enthusiasm. Whoever does the best job of getting their voters to the polls is going to win, and the direction of our country for the next few years could come down to just a handful of voters. If you are a Republican, one reason for you to be optimistic is the fact that President Trump’s approval rating appears to be surging…

Facebook’s New Troll-Crushing “War Room” Confirms Surveillance by Corporation is the New America

Facebook on Wednesday briefed journalists on its latest attempt to stop fake news during the election season, offering an exclusive tour of a windowless conference room at its California headquarters, packed with millennials monitoring Facebook user behavior trends around the clock, said The Verge.

This is Facebook’s first ever “war room,” designed to bring leaders from 20 teams, representing 20,000 global employees working on safety and security, in one room to lead a crusade against conservatives misinformation on the platform as political campaigning shifts into hyperdrive in the final weeks leading up to November’s US midterm elections. The team includes threat intelligence, data science engineering, research, legal, operations, policy, communications, and representatives from Facebook and Facebook-owned WhatsApp and Instagram.

Gun Owners Accuse L.A. Of Creating New ‘Yellow Badges’

Gun Owners of America is accusing Los Angeles of creating a new type of “ Yellow Badge,” the markers Jews were forced to wear in Germany prior to World War II that marked them as “inferior.”

GOA Chairman Tim Macy was commenting on the approval by the Los Angeles City Council of a measure that forces city contractors to reveal any ties to the National Rifle Association.

With little debate, the measure passed 10-0.

Councilman Mitch O’ Farrell claimed the resolution was necessary because the gun lobby has been the biggest “roadblock” to passing gun control legislation.

However, Macy said it’s just political intimidation.

“How strange,” Macy said, “that the L.A. City Council is not even requiring contractors to disclose ties with terrorist groups. This just proves the anti-gun animus of the city council.”

Michael Avenatti Lived the High Life While Owing Millions to IRS

On the Fourth of July, Michael Avenatti suited up for a CNN interview and floated his name as a contender against President Trump in 2020.

Asked why he’d be qualified, Avenatti told anchor Jim Sciutto, “Because I have three things that this president lacks, Jim—brains, heart and courage. And I think I have those in spades compared to this president.”

Scuitto then told Avenatti he’d face scrutiny over his finances, including his former law firm’s then-unpaid $2.4-million bill to the IRS. “You know, look, I’ll be happy to put my tax records and background up against the president’s background and his tax records. Of course, he won’t release any of that information,” Avenatti replied, before changing the subject to his political platform.

Nancy Pelosi: There Will be ‘Collateral Damage’ To Those Who Disagree With US

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told a gathering at the 92nd Street Y in New York on Sunday that there may have to be “collateral damage” to those Americans who do not agree with the Democratic Party agenda.

Pelosi was being interviewed onstage by Paul Krugman, the left-wing New York Times columnist and Nobel economic laureate who predicted, the day Donald Trump won the presidency, that Trump would trigger “a global recession, with no end in sight.”

In a long, rambling monologue, during which she stumbled on her words and appeared to lose her train of thought, Pelosi said:…

New Weapon of Democracy

High-capacity gun magazines airlifted to ‘freedom-loving’ Americans

A gun-magazine company in Boulder, Colo., has announced a campaign based on the Berlin Airlift to help Coloradoans “trapped inside occupied territory” to purchase large-capacity magazines before the Legislature passes a series of gun-control bills next week.

Magpul Industries manufactures magazines and other gun accessories for private, law-enforcement and military use. WND recently reported on how the company may be forced to relocate if the Democrat-controlled Legislature moves forward with plans to ban high capacity magazines, which is one of the company’s key products…

The company has warned lawmakers that if the magazine ban passes, they will be forced to relocate to another state.

“If we’re able to stay in Colorado and manufacture a product, but law-abiding citizens of the state were unable to purchase the product, customers around the state and the nation would boycott us for remaining here,” said Doug Smith, chief operating officer for Magpul Industries. “Staying here would hurt our business.”

Democrat Rep. Daniel Kagan said Magpul just doesn’t understand what the law says.

“Manufacturers will be able to still sell and transfer these high-capacity magazines to individuals in other states, the U.S. military and law enforcement,” Kagan told the Post. “We want [Magpul] to stay here in Colorado. It would be sad to see them leave.”

Dudley Brown, president of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners and executive director of the National Association of Gun Rights, said Democrats will be engaging in political suicide if they continue with their plans to ban products produced by Magpul and strip away the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

[Comment: Kagan is wrong — Magpul and other patriots understand exactly what the law says.]

President Trump Takes Aim at Voter Fraud, Liberals Go Berserk

“All levels of government and Law Enforcement are watching carefully for VOTER FRAUD, including during EARLY VOTING,” Trump tweeted. “Cheat at your own peril. Violators will be subject to maximum penalties, both civil and criminal!”

Now if you’re a normal person reading this, you might think — ‘What’s the big deal? Isn’t Trump basically saying law enforcement will be looking out for, uh, those who, you know … BREAK THE LAW?’ And you’d be entirely correct, but remember when it comes to liberals we aren’t talking about “normal” people, not on any intellectual or moral level. We’re talking about people whose entire lives revolve around obtaining power, retaining power, and using that power to pound the rest of us into submission. By any means necessary. So when Trump or anyone else to the right of center talks about an issue like voter fraud, liberals don’t hear ‘law and order’ or ‘fair elections,’ but instead they see it as mean-old-Trump trying to take away one of their primary tools for stealing elections.

Report: Nationalism Does Not Mean Xenophobia, But an Antidote to Globalism

The widespread rise of nationalism does not suggest increasing racism or xenophobia, a new report asserts, but simply a healthy reaction against a collectivism that curtails the freedom and creativity of peoples.

According to celebrated economist Dr. Samuel Gregg, since 2016, “it has become evident that millions of people are not content to be herded, sheep-like, by intellectuals, techno-utopians, and supranational bureaucrats down the path of global governance.”

“Their discontent is being expressed through a renewed emphasis upon the nation and an associated stress on nation-state sovereignty,” Gregg writes in an October 22 essay for Law and Liberty, and this refreshing trend should be welcomed by all who care for prosperity, the common good, and world peace.

Tavisock Institute Major Tool of the Puppetmasters, Part 1

Many within the body politic are unaware of the Tavistock Institute; additional millions also remain ignorant of this institution of social engineering by both sides of their political spectrum. The debacle that was recently conducted by the U.S. Senate regarding the selection of Judge Cavanaugh to be the 9th member on the Supreme Court was an exhibition of blatant fanaticism within the Democratic members of the senate. The question must be asked why so many of masses of citizenry, especially of the left’s persuasion, exhibit what can only be described as fanatical. It was an unnatural phenomenon of “group think” as though they were mesmerized in lock step by a powerful outside force.

The next question to ask how did this just occur? The fact is it didn’t just occur; it took many years of pre-planning before being actually organized by the Tavistock Institute. The following examples stem back to the revolution within Russia and the murder of the Romanoff dynasty which ended any successor of Tsar Nicholas II and his family in 1917.

Example 1

The Enemies of the Tzar Celebrate His Abdication in America

On March 23, 1917, a mass meeting was held at Carnegie Hall to celebrate the abdication of Nicholas II which meant the impossibility of any succession of tsarist rule of Russia. Thousands of socialists, Marxists, nihilists and anarchists attended to cheer the event. On page two of the New York Times, Jacob Schiff’s letter regretted that he could not attend the event, but it was read to the audience wherein he stated that for seven long years he strove for this occasion.

In the February 3, 1949 issue of the New York Journal American, Schiff’s grandson, John, was quoted by columnist Cholly Knickerbocker as saying that his grandfather had given about $20 million dollars (of his vast fortune) for the triumph of communism in Russia. During that period, wages of the working American averaged $15 per month. Two cents for a bag of hard candy!

Example # 2 of the string pullers:

While Russia was still an ally of America, Great Britain and France in 1916-1917 the Menshevik leader Trotsky tempted to return to Petrograd, but on his way he was arrested by Canadian and British naval personnel, when the ship which he was traveling on the S.S. Kristianiajord put in at Halifax. He had in his possession $10,000 for travel expenses. He was recognized as a threat to the best interests of England, Canada’s mother country in the Commonwealth. Russia was an ally of England in WWWI, which was raging in Europe. Anything that weakens Russia weakens England and strengthens Germany. Trotsky was arrested as a German agent and taken as a prisoner of war. It wasn’t long before mysterious forces both in England and the United States intervened on Trotsky’s behalf urging his immediate release.

Terrorist Plot Foiled

Indiana Extremist Sought to Kill in the Name of ISIS

While the nation mourned the victims of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, an Indiana man who had become radicalized online was inspired by the terror attack to plan more killings in the name of ISIS.

Nine days after the Pulse massacre—which left 49 people dead and 53 others wounded—31-year-old Marlonn Hicks discussed planning terror attacks with an FBI source he believed was a supporter of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization.

The Real Enemies of the People

Exclusive: Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson laments how extreme and evil media has become

Everyone can see how insane the liberals, especially “black leaders,” have become. Many of them pretend to believe in God, but vote for the party of violence, lies, hate and abortion. The Democratic Party is evil, and anyone who votes for Democrats supports evil. When asked why, they point to Republican so-called “racism,” “sexism” or some other made-up “-ism.” They bring false accusations against Trump, and attack straight, white, conservative, Christian men — especially those of power. Liberals tout their phony compassion toward the “poor,” “minorities,” “women” and “children” — but only when the cause favors wrongdoing. They push injustice and call it “justice.”

We’ve all seen how extreme and evil the media is — CNN, New York Times, Washington Post and other leftwing outlets. They hate President Trump, a simple, strong white man who tells the truth and loves America. But they loved Obama, the feminist president who never stopped lying since he ran for president, who hates America. These liberals fanned the flames of the Black Lives Matter riots and cop-killings, but called the agitators “mostly peaceful.” The media support the violent communist Antifa thugs, uncritically calling them “anti-racist” or “anti-fascist.”

The media and liberals manipulate language to seduce blind people. They support illegal aliens, calling them “undocumented immigrants.” They welcome third-world Democrat-leaning Muslims as “refugees.” But they call the murder of white South African natives “fake news.” They support radical homosexuals pushing so-called “marriage equality” or “LGBTQ rights” (both phony, deceptive, destructive ideas). They paint pro-abortion radicals as “pro-choice” for “reproductive rights,” and downplay the ongoing holocaust of unborn children. But they call pro-lifers “anti-abortion rights” (as though being against killing babies in the womb is negative or oppressive).

They call whites “neo-Nazis,” men “rapists,” and non-leftists “far-right.” To them, a non-liberal who defends himself is “violent” and anyone who tells the truth is a “bigot.”

They’re no longer journalists, but activists — joining forces with the Democrats against America — truly the enemy of the people, as Trump said.

The Revised NAFTA Trap and American Sovereignty

One must remember that unelected bureaucrats cannot be gotten rid of, and this has always been a communist tactic. Deals with unelected people in charge should immediately be destroyed.

According to the New American article of Monday, October 1st, NAFTA “Finessed” to Include Canada at the Expense of U.S. Sovereignty by Bob Adelmann, the United States is about to be sucked into a trap with the new NAFTA deal that could lead to a loss of sovereignty…

Chapter 19 allows Canada, Mexico and the United States to challenge one another’s anti-dumping and countervailing duties in front of a panel of representatives from each country. Over the years, Canada has successfully used Chapter 19 to challenge the United States on its softwood lumber restrictions.

In a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, they confirmed that the United States could fold in order to keep Canada in the deal by noting that “there are still ways to finesse deadlines and processes before NAFTA 2.0 ultimately takes effect.” (Emphasis added)

[…]

The bulk of the TPP was 42 inches high and was composed of 30 chapters with an average thickness of 1.4 inches. There were only five chapters or about seven inches that were about trade. The remaining 25 chapters consisting of about 35 inches were about how our country would have to be changed. Obama had stated that some of our laws had to be changed to coincide with the laws of the other countries making up the TPP.

It is obvious that based on what little we know that there were many sinister and traitorous plans for us in that 35 inches of the TPP text which had nothing to do with trade.

UK Warship Captain Paints ‘Deeply Frightening’ Future of Warfare Amid NYC Visit

Viral warfare and robots killing humans — this is a potentially “deeply frightening future” where combat ethics will be tested, the commander of HMS Queen Elizabeth, Captain Jerry Kyd, said. Dwelling on the increased threats to the security of the United Kingdom, Captain Kyd painted a quite terrifying picture of the future of warfare:

“I think the coalescence of militarization, quantum computing, of automated fighting elements whether it is in the air, the surface or subsurface, the ability of computers and machines to make fast decision making loops — I think will fundamentally change the character of warfare.”

He continued, “The nature of warfare won’t change — which is to dominate and kill the enemy. I think it is an exciting but deeply frightening future where I think the ethics and morals of war will be tested, and where we will see, I am sure, robots engaged in killing other human beings.”

Reflecting on the potential forms of warfare, Captain Kyd suggested the world will see an increase in biological, chemical and genetic ways of waging wars.

“I think we will see all sorts of vile methods. Viral warfare, and also attacks fundamentally against civilian populations through bringing down infrastructure, power grids, cyber warfare — a full spectrum of activity against the population which will be deeply frightening.”

Canada Working to Resettle Group of White Helmets

Ottawa is in the process of resettling a group of White Helmets members who had to leave Syria, Canada’s Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

“Together with a core group of international allies, Canada is working to resettle a group of White Helmets and their families after they had to flee Syria as a result of being specifically targeted by the Syrian regime and its backer, Russia,” the release said on Friday.

Security screening is completed before members of the Syrian civil defense group can fly to Canada as refugees, the ministry said.

Canada has supported the White Helmets by assisting them to train more volunteers and expand, the release noted.

Britain’s Grooming Gangs: Part 2

Men, after a certain age — as nature seems to have intended to preserve the human race — are often sexually attracted to women. Women, similarly, are often sexually attracted to men, even if many cultures try to keep that proclivity a closely-guarded secret.

Different cultures handle human sexuality in different ways, presumably to avoid the potential social disruption it could create. This control has traditionally been affected by religious doctrines, laws, and patriarchal priests, ministers, rabbis, muftis and other clergy.

In the West, women’s dress, behaviour, and rights to autonomy have been freed from religious control only in the 20th and 21st centuries, with the rise of the suffragettes, feminism and the availability of safe contraception.

Britain’s Grooming Gangs: Part 1

On July 24, 2018, Britain’s Home Secretary, conservative MP Sajid Javid, issued orders for research into the ethnic origins of the country’s many sexual grooming gangs that had involved large numbers of loosely-termed “Asian men”, who, over many years, had taken vulnerable young white British girls to use or pass on for sexual purposes. Most of the men have, Javid has stated been of Pakistani extraction, which makes the Home Secretary’s intervention significant. Javid’s father came, as did many other Pakistani immigrants, from Punjab, and with only £1 to his name.

Exit Poll: Polish Populists Lead Local Votes, Support Down

ruling party’s result lower than in 2015 parliamentary vote

(ANSA-AP) — WARSAW, OCTOBER 22 — The governing populist party, which has repeatedly clashed with European Union institutions, was the top vote winner in local elections Sunday, according to an exit poll, but it was headed to lower support than it got in Poland’s 2015 parliamentary elections. The Ispos survey said that in lower level elections for provincial assemblies, the ruling conservative Law and Justice party received the highest backing, with 32.3 percent. In the 2015 national elections it had almost 38 percent support. Party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski said it was a “good result that bodes well for the future. It’s a good sign.” But he stressed that the exit poll result might differ from the official returns expected Tuesday or Wednesday. In many ways it was a disappointing showing for the party, which has at times received more than 40 percent support in opinion polls. Its drop in support comes despite generous government handouts and a booming economy and it suggests some Poles do not like the constant tensions with the EU, which has condemned an overhaul of the justice system by Law and Justice, calling it a systematic threat to the rule of law and inconsistent with democratic European values. Opposition supporters said they hope this is a sign the tide is turning. Some commentators also suggested that this indicates the ruling party will not be able to win majority support in Poland and will have to find a way to coexist with the opposition. A pro-EU opposition candidate won Warsaw’s mayoral race outright in the first round, according to the exit poll.

Rafal Trzaskowski, a former European lawmaker and member of the Civic Platform party, garnered 51.4 percent support, which would mean he would become Warsaw mayor without having to take part in a Nov. 4 runoff. Trzaskowski, whose party governed Poland for eight years before Law and Justice came to power in 2015, ran against the ruling party’s candidate, Deputy Justice Minister Patryk Jaki. Jaki had attracted attention by heading a special commission for reversing housing decisions by the city’s Town Hall under Civic Platform. In Gdansk, one of the sons of democracy icon Lech Walesa, Jaroslaw Walesa, had a disappointing result, only taking third place, and leaving two others to face off in the runoff Nov. 4. Lech Walesa, the founder of the Solidarity movement that confronted the communist regime in the 1980s, voted wearing a T-shirt with the word “Konstytucja” — or constitution — a popular sign of opposition to the ruling party.

Sunday’s elections were the first nationwide test of support for Law and Justice since it gained control of the national government. Its policies have produced street protests and repeated clashes with EU leaders. Nationwide turnout was 51.3 percent, higher than in 2014, according to the exit poll, which questioned voters as they were leaving polling stations in 1,160 locations across Poland. The election was for offices ranging from city mayors to village councilors. Law and Justice party was hoping to strengthen its firm grip on power, which has been buoyed by handing out social benefits and questioning how much authority the EU should have over member nations. Campaigning targeted Poland’s largest cities — such as Warsaw, Poznan, Krakow, Wroclaw and Gdansk — which are traditionally pro-EU, and where the opposition is in control of local governments.

Homicide Rate in England and Wales Surges to Highest Since 2008

The murder and manslaughter rate in England and Wales has risen to the highest in a decade, official figures show.

As The Guardian reports, there were 719 homicides — murder and manslaughter — in the year to June, a 14% increase from 630 in the previous year excluding exceptional incidents in 2017 such as the terrorist attacks in London and Manchester, the Office for National Statistics said.

It was the highest number since 775 homicides were recorded in the year to March 2008.

There were 39,332 offences involving a knife or sharp instrument, up 12% on the previous year, according to police-recorded data. The figure excludes data from Greater Manchester police after a review identified undercounting of crimes involving a knife or sharp instrument due to a technical issue.

There were also jumps in the numbers of recorded robberies (up 22%), sexual offences (up 18%), vehicle-related theft (up 7%) and burglaries (2%).

Total police-recorded crime rose by 9% as forces in England and Wales registered a total of 5.6m offences in the year to June, the ONS said.

Italy: Fugatti Elected Trentino Governor, League Top Party

Ends 20 years of centre-left and autonomist rule

(ANSA) — Trento, October 22 — Health Undersecretary Maurizio Fugatti of the anti-migrant Euroskeptic League party was elected governor of Trentino Monday with 46.74% of Sunday’s vote in the northern Italian region. Fugatti was backed by a nine-party coalition including the League, Silvio Berlusconi’s centre-right opposition Forza Italia (FI) party, the rightist opposition Brothers of Italy (FdI), the Centrist Union (UdC), local tickets Progetto Trentino, Agire per il Trentino, Civica Trentino, and Fassa, and the AP centrists.

The election ends Trentino’s 20 years of monopoly rule by centre-left autonomist coalitions.

The League party came top in the Trentino provincial elections with 27.4% of the vote followed by the centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD) with 13.93%, the regionalist PATT with 12.59% and the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S), the League’s ruling partner in Rome, with 7.23%.

This contrasted with the last such vote in 2013 when the PD was top with 22%, followed by PATT with 17.55%, the League at just over 6% and the M5S below 6%.

Italy: Unacceptable Prejudice From One Commissioner — Conte

Govt doesn’t want anarchy says premier

(ANSA) — Rome, October 22 — Premier Giuseppe Conte on Monday said that a member of the European Commission was prejudiced against his government and its budget plans.

“If a European Commissioner said that this budget will be rejected before he has read it and before it has been presented, I say that this is a prejudice and it is unacceptable that it comes from someone who represents an institution like the EU,” Conte said at the foreign press association in Rome in an apparent reference to Budget Commissioner Günther Oettinger. He said his 5-Star Movement-League executive wanted to usher in profound change, but not anarchy.

“We must not shy away from the fact that this government is held up by two parties that are called nationalist and described as anti-system,” Conte said.

Robinson Blasts UK Judge Over Giving Bail to Gang Rapists, Denying One for Him

Leeds Crown Court found 20 men guilty of over 120 offenses committed against 15 under-age girls between 2004 and 2011, which included rape, abuse, pimping and forced drug use. The court also lifted the reporting restrictions on the case for which right-wing activist Tommy Robinson was charged and sentenced in May 2018.

Right wing activist and journalist Tommy Robinson went on a rant against Leeds Crown Court Judge Geoffrey Marson QC and the British media following the lifting of reporting restrictions on the case of the notorious “grooming gang,” that operated between 2004 and 2011. Tommy Robinson, left, the former leader of the far-right EDL English Defence League group walks past police officers as he leaves after an appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court in London, Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.

The activist published a video on his Facebook page, where he slams the judge’s earlier decision to let the suspects go on bail, which led to one of them, later convicted to 17 years in prison, escaping to Pakistan. He noted that when he was accused of reporting on the “grooming gang” case in May, the very same judge never gave him bail, which he had given to the people who “lived the life of crime.”

Robinson further steamrolled the media, which, in his opinion, challenged the reporting restrictions on the case too late. The activist said that it should have happened, when he was jailed for leaking a transcript from the courtroom hearing on the case. He also noted that only now the British media had started reporting the fact that “90%” of the gang’s members were of Pakistani descent, while Robinson had been saying the same for years.

UK: Huddersfield Grooming: Twenty Guilty of Campaign of Rape and Abuse

Twenty men have been found guilty of being part of a grooming gang that raped and abused girls as young as 11 in Huddersfield.

The men were convicted of more than 120 offences against 15 girls.

Victims were plied with drink and drugs and then “used and abused at will” in a seven-year “campaign of rape and abuse” between 2004 and 2011.

At Leeds Crown Court, the ringleader, Amere Singh Dhaliwal, 35, was jailed for life with a minimum of 18 years.

Other members of the gang were jailed for between five and 18 years but the court heard many perpetrators have never been identified.

Details of the men’s convictions and sentences can only now be published after reporting restrictions on a series of trials were partially lifted.

During the three trials, jurors heard how the men — who are all British Asians mainly of Pakistani heritage — preyed on young, vulnerable girls, one of whom was described as having the mental age of a seven-year-old.

(ANSAmed) — MOSCOW, OCTOBER 22 — Saudi Arabia will not use its oil as political leverage in the dispute over the death of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who died in the Saudi consolate in Istanbul on October 2, said Saudi Arabian Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih in an interview with Russian news agency TASS.

He said the country’s energy policy aims at ensuring the stability of global markets.

US Airstrikes Kill Dozens in Eastern Syria Mosque — Sources

During Friday prayers. Coalition partially admits

(ANSAmed) — BEIRUT, OCTOBER 22 — The US-led anti-ISIS coalition in eastern Syria conducted an airstrike on a mosque last Friday that killed “dozens of civilians” in an area near the border with Iraq, where an offensive by US-backed Kurdish-Syrian fighters is currently underway, said local sources, citing healthcare workers and activists in the region.

The international anti-ISIS coalition said in a statement that it hit a mosque in the area of Susa, but said those who died in the airstrike were Islamic State fighters.

The statement did not report any civilian deaths.

It said the mosque was targeted because various jihadist militants were gathered there.

Local sources said the airstrike on the Uthman mosque in Susa took place during Friday prayers and that there were “dozens of civilians” killed.

It said the bodies of those killed are still trapped in the rubble of the mosque and surrounding buildings.

China’s Plans to Use Latin America for Economic, Political Agenda Detailed in US Report

A new wide-ranging report by a U.S. congressional commission on China has outlined the Chinese regime’s strategies in Latin America for gaining advantages that boost its political and economic interests.

The report, released Oct. 17 by the U.S.—China Economic and Security Review Commission, described in blunt terms what China’s objectives are in the Latin America and Caribbean region: to gain access to the region’s natural resources and consumer markets, shape foreign policy and public opinion in favor of China; and gain “geopolitical influence in a region geographically close and historically subject to U.S. influence,” the report said.

Aside from increasing military engagements in the region that can be seen as worrisome to the United States, the report noted that the uptick in trade with China has directly led to the demise of local manufacturers in Latin American countries.

Microplastics Found in 90 Percent of Table Salt

Microplastics were found in sea salt several years ago. But how extensively plastic bits are spread throughout the most commonly used seasoning remained unclear. Now, new research shows microplastics in 90 percent of the table salt brands sampled worldwide.

Of 39 salt brands tested, 36 had microplastics in them, according to a new analysis by researchers in South Korea and Greenpeace East Asia. Using prior salt studies, this new effort is the first of its scale to look at the geographical spread of microplastics in table salt and their correlation to where plastic pollution is found in the environment.

The density of microplastics found in salt varied dramatically among different brands, but those from Asian brands were especially high, the study found. The highest quantities of microplastics were found in salt sold in Indonesia. Asia is a hot spot for plastic pollution, and Indonesia—with 34,000 miles (54,720 km) of coastline—ranked in an unrelated 2015 study as suffering the second-worst level of plastic pollution in the world.

In another indicator of the geographic density of plastic pollution, microplastics levels were highest in sea salt, followed by lake salt and then rock salt.

Warning From Down Under: Influence From China, Not Russia, Is Most Dangerous

WASHINGTON—Clive Hamilton’s book “Silent Invasion” sounded a warning to Australians about how the Chinese regime was gaining influence in their country.

Drawing on insights from the experience in Australia, Hamilton recently sought to warn Americans of the dangers posed by the People’s Republic of China’s influence operations.

Hamilton says Americans have a false frame of reference for evaluating the threat from China. Since the 2016 election, the Russians have dominated discussions of foreign influence, but Hamilton says the Chinese regime has longer-term goals and is a much greater threat than Russia. …

“Putin has a short-term objective of creating chaos and obstruction. Beyond that, he doesn’t know that he wants.

“The PRC has a far more long-term, subtle, carefully thought through the objective of gaining influence. It doesn’t want to disrupt the institutions. It doesn’t want to undermine democracy. It wants to control the practices of institutions and the people involved in the exercise of democracy.”

Another reason why “Beijing is far more dangerous to the U.S. democracy than Moscow” is that China’s GDP is almost 8 times that of Russia’s. So, it is capable of doing much more damage, according to Hamilton.

James Woods Asks; How Has ‘Migrant Caravan’ Traveled So Quickly?

“I guarantee they will all miraculously appear at our border right at midterm election week”

Actor James Woods is questioning how the migrant caravan has been able to travel so quickly through Central America without massive aid from authorities and other shadowy groups.

“So consider this: it is over 2,000 miles from Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Phoenix, Arizona,” tweeted the conservative actor. “Hard to believe a bunch of people just randomly decided to pack a lunch and walk TWO THOUSAND MILES to anywhere. Where is this mob sleeping, using bathrooms, procuring food and water?”

“Oh, and the “spontaneous” mob would have to walk 20 miles a day for a hundred consecutive days, without rest, to get here. That’s over three months obviously, and yet I guarantee they will all miraculously appear at our border right at midterm election week,” he added.

While the migrants are undoubtedly being given aid by several different left-wing NGOs (some of which are directly funded by George Soros), reports confirm that the migrants also “received help Sunday from sympathetic Mexicans who offered food, water and clothing and that, “Hundreds of locals driving pickups, vans and cargo trucks stopped to let them clamber aboard.”

Mexican officials have also repeatedly suggested that large numbers of migrants could be used as a political weapon against the United States.

Mexico’s socialist president-elect Andre’s Manuel López Obrador told migrants back in June that they should leave their home towns and flood into the United States.

“And soon, very soon — after the victory of our movement — we will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world,” Obrador said, adding that immigrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.” He went on to emphasize that was “a human right we will defend.”

Two months later, Mexican Economic Minister Ildefonso Guajardo threatened to use migrants as a leverage for trade agreements.

Rally in Brazil ETFs Goes on

Reform can do wonders for an emerging market equity portfolio. Just take a look at the ongoing rally in Brazil ETFs.

Through the end of September, many of these funds had been struggling to find much upside year-to-date. So far, 2018 has been a tough year for emerging markets in general, and to Brazil specifically—a country that has struggled economically and politically amid various corruptions scandals.

The largest ETF in this segment, the $6.7 billion iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (EWZ), was down about 3%, while its small-cap counterpart, the iShares MSCI Brazil Small-Cap ETF (EWZS), was down more than 14%. Other ETFs in this space include funds like the Franklin FTSE Brazil ETF (FLBR) and the First Trust Brazil AlphaDEX Fund (FBZ).

Summer Blues Turn To October Hope

“National Emergency” — President Trump to Cut Central American Aid as Mexico Loses Control of Migrant Army

So, for the second time this year, it appears President Trump is ready to send more US troops to the border, as he said in a tweet Monday morning that he’d notified the border patrol and military that this is a “national emergency” while reiterating that the blame lay with Democrats for refusing to change our “pathetic” immigration laws.

And since Honduras and Guatemala did nothing to stop the migrants despite Trump’s requests for assistance, the president added that we would be cutting off aid: “We will now begin cutting off, or substantially reducing, the massive foreign aid routinely given to them.”

The backlash to the migrants has intensified over the weekend, as the mile-long caravan has continued unimpeded toward the US’s southern border. Amusingly, liberals bullied the Associated Press on Sunday into correcting one of its headlines after the wire service described the caravan as an “army of migrants”.

“A ragged, growing army of migrants resumes march toward US,” read the original headline on the AP story. The AP later changed the headline to replace the word “army” with “caravan.”

Though the AP has used the word “army” to refer to large groups of people besides migrants — including nurses and political activists — many on the political left criticized the wire service for its original headline.

Meanwhile, videos have emerged of people handing out cash to the migrants, raising suspicions that the caravan has received outside funding for its assault on the southern border.

Graham: Don’t Give the Dems Power — ‘Nancy Pelosi Will Welcome the Caravans Here’

On this week’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said if Democrats win the majority U.S. House of Representatives in November, prospective House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would “welcome” the Central American migrants headed to U.S. border.

Graham said, “I think people are going to be voting on the mob rule of the Democratic Party. If you elect Democrats to run the House, you know exactly what you’re going to get. They’re going to try and impeach the president and impeach Kavanaugh. They don’t care about your wallet — they just want to get in your wallet.”

Growing Invasion Force Overwhelms Mexican Authorities — Approximately 10,000 Now Traveling Through Mexico to U.S. Southern Border

Estimates as to the number of economic migrants varies between 7,000 to 10,000 and the numbers are growing fast

Despite media claims to the contrary, elected Mexican officials previously promised to allow the invasion of Central American migrants. There is a history here.

The heavily financed horde of Central American migrants has overwhelmed the token resistance from Mexican military and advanced north toward the Southern U.S. border. As described by the Associated Press today: “growing army of migrants resumes march toward US.” This is a well financed, well organized, left-wing political operation strategically timed to reach the U.S. border and coincide with the 2018 mid-term election.

Estimates as to the number of economic migrants varies between 7,000 to 10,000 and the numbers are growing fast as they are now facilitated by, and joined by, ideological comrades within Mexico. The ‘invasion force’ is now more than two-miles long. The group claims to be fleeing violence in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, yet the group has deployed violence against Mexican officials who are vastly outnumbered.

President Trump has requested that Mexican officials stop the advancement of the massive group and praised any efforts therein. However, it appears there is a disconnect between what actions U.S. officials think is happening — and the actual advancement on the ground. Those marching toward the U.S. are no longer finding any resistance.

While President Trump asks Mexico to do more in their efforts to stop the invasion force, it would be wise to remember the history of these issues. The Mexican government are not likely to offer more than the appearance of token resistance and their history in this regard is very clear.

With the migrant march from Central America, mostly Hondurans, Guatemala and El Salvador it is important to revisit the history of Mexican threats —from Mexican officials— which precedes the current year complicity.

Italy: Lodi Mayor Only Applied Law — Bussetti

Kids’ exclusion from school meals spurred protests

(ANSA) — Milan, October 22 — The mayor of Lodi near Milan where migrant children were effectively excluded from school meals because of stringent income documentation norms “only applied the law”, Education Minister Marco Bussetti said Monday.

“I think the mayor wants to get down to the needs of people but also ensure norms,” he said, accusing the centre left of “exploiting” the case to score political points.

Lodi Mayor Sara Casanova, of the anti-migrant League party, has stood by controversial new regulations in the northern city that have seen the children of many migrants unable to have access to school canteens and school bus services.

Bussetti is an independent seen as close to the League.

The case has spurred a solidarity drive with money coming in from pro-migrant groups around Italy to help the children access meals.

The regulation demands that migrant parents must submit documentation from their countries of origin about their wealth and income, in addition to certification from the Italian authorities, as part of means-testing for these services.

The administration has come under fire as the move has reportedly led to around 200 migrant children being denied admission to school canteens.

“I’m sorry that not everyone agrees with the principle of fairness that is at the basis of this resolution, which aims to put Italians and foreigners in the same condition at the starting point to show their income and the assets they own,” Casanova said.

The mayor stressed that the city administration has pledged to find solutions for families unable to provide the documentation requested from their homelands.

Following protests against the Lodi town council decision that had in practice made about 200 migrant children ineligible for discounted school lunches, the local administration on Friday brought in new guidelines easing requirements.

The regulations do not allow for self-certification. It is extremely difficult for many foreign parents to get documents showing that they do not hold property in their countries of origin.

Self-certification will now be possible if accompanied by a statement from the migrants’ country of origin stating the impossibility for that country to issue the necessary certification or that certification for real estate holdings is limiting only to part of the national territory.

Similarly, a new rule in Veneto requires that migrant families must present certification about their assets in their countries of origin, in addition to Italy’s ISEE income-and-wealth certification, to have access to a couple to spend on school books.

The rule is cited on the instructions section of the region’s website.

The Veneto branch of local-authorities association ANCI added that the certification demands regarded all economic benefits, not just those for school books.

Listen — Pat Buchanan: Migrant Caravan is Trump’s Chance to Stop ‘Third World Invasion of the West’

“It’s the major issue in Western Civilization right now.”

Populist conservative author and columnist Pat Buchanan says the migrant caravan of more than 4,000 Honduran and Central American nationals is President Trump’s chance to demonstrate that he can stop the “third world invasion of the West.”

During an interview with Raymond Arroyo on the Laura Ingraham Show, Buchanan said the migrant caravan headed to the U.S.-Mexico border is an opportunity for Trump ahead of the 2018 midterm elections to show that he has the willpower to stop mass immigration at America’s borders.

Americans are paying more to cover the costs of illegal immigrants having children in the United States than Congress plans to give President Trump in border wall funding this year, according to an explosive new analysis of Census Bureau data.

Steve King: Men From ‘Most Violent Countries in World’ Are ‘Invading’ U.S.

They are invading our country, they are just not wearing uniforms

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) says men from the “most violent countries in the world” are “invading” the United States through illegal and legal immigration.

In an interview with an Austrian media outlet, King discussed the death of 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts whose body was found in September in a cornfield in her rural hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa after she was last seen jogging on July 18.

Christian Bahena-Rivera, an illegal alien from Mexico, has been charged with first-degree murder in Tibbetts’ death after police say he admitted to confronting and chasing down the young woman. The illegal alien lived in a region of Iowa that was surrounded by sanctuary cities, as Breitbart News noted, and an initial autopsy report revealed that Bahena-Rivera allegedly stabbed Tibbetts to death.

King said if the U.S. had enforced federal immigration law properly, Bahena-Rivera would have not been in the country to begin with and Tibbetts would still be alive.

Ask Ethan: Would Traveling Back in Time Destroy the Universe?

We’ve all had the dream of traveling back in time. Whether there’s a wrong we want to right, a mistake we want to undo, a life we want to save, or a horror story we want to prevent, the amount of good we could accomplish seems immeasurable. We haven’t figured out how to do it, and there might be a fundamental reason why time travel to the past is impossible.

The Muslim Brotherhood — the Globalists’ Secret Weapon

Hasan al-Banna’s young life was influenced by all of these factors: by the Islamic movement, by the British occupation, by his father, and by his most important mentor, Mohammed Rashid Rida. Al-Banna grew up reading Rida’s publication and through his family connections they became good friends. At his death in 1935 Rida had placed all of his hope for an Islamic resurgence in al-Banna’s Muslim Brotherhood. The other factor in Hasan al-Banna’s life was Freemasonry. Al-Banna experimented with numerous religious sects and political groups as a young man and he also became a member of the Masonic Brotherhood. This was entirely normal for someone growing up in the higher echelons of Egyptian society at the time and his membership was not considered a betrayal of Islamic values as it is today. (8)

In 1927, at the age of twenty-one after graduating from his university, he was appointed to teach Arabic at a school in Ismailiyya. This town happened to be the capital of the British-occupied Canal Zone and the headquarters of Britain’s Suez Canal Company. Hasan al-Banna established the Muslim Brotherhood there a year later. The Suez Canal Company helped to provide the funds for the first Muslim Brotherhood mosque that was built in Ismailiyya in 1930. (8a)

An important question is how, among a multitude of competing Islamic organizations, did the Muslim Brotherhood expand with such great leaps and bounds to number over 500,000 active members only a decade later? Al-Banna was only twenty-two when it began, and it was based in the heart of British occupied territory for its first four years. Contemporary histories credit the Brotherhood’s success directly to the organizational skills of al-Banna:

The single most important factor that made this dramatic expansion possible was the organizational and ideological leadership provided by al-Banna. He endeavored to bring about the changes he hoped for through institution-building, relentless activism at the grassroots level and a reliance on mass communication. He proceeded to build a complex mass movement that featured sophisticated governance structures; sections in charge of furthering the society’s values among peasants, workers and professionals; units entrusted with key functions, including propagation of the message, liaison with the Islamic world and press and translation; and specialized committees for finances and legal affairs. In anchoring this organization into Egyptian society, al-Banna skillfully relied on pre-existing social networks, in particular those built around mosques, Islamic welfare associations and neighborhood groups. This weaving of traditional ties into a distinctively modern structure was at the root of his success. (9)

The bottom line is that the Muslim Brotherhood’s success could not have been achieved without the approval of the British ruling establishment, and al-Banna’s association with the Masonic Brotherhood goes far to explain how efficiently it was organized and how seamlessly it fit into Egyptian society. Like the Masonic Brotherhood it was established initially as a charitable organization. However, while Freemasonry was liberal and allowed members of all faiths to join, the Muslim Brotherhood was focused specifically on Islam. It was Masonry for Muslims only. Like Masonry the Muslim Brotherhood was devoted to secrecy and it was run according to a pyramidal command structure. The foot soldiers at the bottom had no idea of the true goals of the leaders at the top.

  1. Re local elections in Poland – PiS may have “won” them with 32%, but the pro-EU opposition, the citizens’ coalition got 24%. Coupled with 16% for Polish peasants’ party (who formed part of previus pro-EU government), they got 40%, meaning they will rule many Polish regiions – in spite of PiS “winning” them. This in addition to PiS getting severely beaten in mayoral elections in every larger Polish city. Not just Warsaw – but Lodz, Poznan, Wroclaw, and even cities in their eastern heartlands: Bialystok, Rzeszow, Przemysl, and many smaller towns and cities. And in the runoffs, they’re likely to lose Krakow and Gdansk too… If they claim to have “won”, they clearly haven’t been listening, which doesn’t bode too well for next year’s parliamentary elections.

  2. “Sweden Denies Perfectly Integrated White South Africans Asylum — Despite Death Threats Against Their 6yo Daughter”

I would suggest they “disappear” and come back as Syrian orphans or something like that…

    • This is exactly my experience in France. In 2005-6 I had a D visa, scientifique. Pompously sounding. Because I was White, I was legally discriminated against at every instance, including having problems to open bank accounts. Everybody else is having it good. It seemed surreal. It makes sense after hearing about “Bwitish” grooming gangs and all the other legal discriminations against Whites in Europe while we are still vast majority. White genocide full sail, in Europe. Peek into the future on what to expect. Who would have thought that there are too many Whites in London? Mayor Sad[diq] Khan came up with this.

      • Yea it was similar for Czechs who emigrated from communist Czechoslovakia to West Germany or USA. They often had to endure years in Asylum homes, with no rights to work until they mastered German or English… But they did endure because that was what it took to “go west”. This current “open border policy” is a laugh… I think it is an invasion paid for by billions of dollars, allowed by corrupt western politicians. That only makes sense.

        • It was even the same for POC who came to Europe in the 60’s and 70’s, even in the 90’s still. They all say the same: they got nothing and had to look after themselves, do bad jobs until they learned the language and were able to get something better, regardless if it was West Germany, France, Sweden or the UK. And they all agree with us that this open border nonsense is, well, nonsense and that bad people are comming in. I hate to think the goal of this invasion really is the destruction of the caucasian race, but the facts speak clearly.

  3. “…caused the Muslims to kneel in the wrong direction during prayers misaligning themselves by as much as 33 degrees…” – so their god had to look at their behinds askew, what a tragedy indeed.

  4. Tommy Robinson out on bail today as the case is referred to the Attorney General. That was what his lawyers wanted, so must be seen as a minor victory. The AG being an political figure will take more notice of the political ramifications of a Tommy in jail or a Tommy dying in jail.

  5. Solution for the caravan which is designed to embarrass Trump when the Dems know they’ve likely blown the next election with their unpopular stupidities.

Commandeer a couple of cruise ships, provide them with ready lodging a food, send in Spanish speaking doctors and priests to help, station Marines everywhere for everyone’s safety, and then ship them home in style. No horrible stories, an elegant solution, at least for the moment.

Take the women and children first, and make sure they are safe. Lots of photo opportunities.

    • And afterwards you have to clean, disinfect and completely refurbish these ships at a cost of many millions of dollars.
There has to be a better way.

      • If there is, I have not heard it yet. I think the price is worth it. If Trump does not handle this well, it will sink GOP candidates in November.

      • Send in C-130 and C-5 military aircraft. Box lunches only and infantry troops with rifles sitting amongst the passengers. One way flights to Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico. Any country refusing to let our planes land and take off safely receive zero funding!

Passengers will debark the plane from the rear of C-130’s which can land on dirt airstrips. They have no-thrill interiors. Adults & children are told to use porta-potties and given diapers to wear while in flight. They will be back home in less than 6 hours!

    • Or, you know, build the […] wall already and post troops around the gates. It should be used as propaganda for the wall. The only reason against the wall is the hindering of the migration of animals, but perhaps that can be handled somehow.
