Gates of Vienna News Feed 8/28/2018

Central European University in Hungary has decided to close down its courses for migrants, due to the recent surtax imposed by the Hungarian government on organizations that support immigration. The CEU — which was founded by the billionaire American philanthropist George Soros — is uncertain about how much financial liability it would be facing under the 25% surcharge.

In other news, Dutch police have arrested a man who allegedly threatened to kill Geert Wilders.

As Midterms Approach, Economy is Soaring

During the 1992 presidential campaign, Clinton strategist James Carville coined a phrase that explained why Republican George H.W. Bush would go on to lose that election to Bill Clinton. “It’s the economy, stupid.” Remember that? Bush had been flying high in public opinion polls after his success in the first Gulf War with approval ratings nearing 90 percent. But then, Bush went back on his “no new taxes” pledge, the economy went into recession, and America got William Jefferson Clinton as president.

As the 24-7 “Trumpocalypse” continues on mainstream media, an amazing thing has been happening. Under Trump’s leadership, the overall economy in America is surging. Nationwide unemployment numbers for July 2018 are at 3.9 percent. The number of unemployed persons is down by 674,000 for 2018 thus far. Average hourly wages are up. As far as the economy is going, it’s all good news — not that you’d hear about it from the mainstream media.

Germany Considering Bailout for Turkey to Prevent “Full-Blown Economic Crisis”

Confirming speculation that Turkey’s recent pivot toward Europe in response to the diplomatic spat with Trump may already be bearing fruit, the WSJ reports that “the German government is considering providing emergency financial assistance to Turkey as concerns grow in Berlin that a full-blown economic crisis could destabilize the region.”

The WSJ adds writes that “while the talks are at an early stage and may not result in any aid, the possibilities being discussed range from a coordinated European bailout similar to the kind deployed during the eurozone debt crisis to project-specific loans by state-controlled development banks and bilateral aid.”

The report notes that two senior officials in Berlin said German finance minister Olaf Scholz have discussed some of the options with his Turkish counterpart Berat Albayrak in recent conversations, and that the possibilities discussed range from a coordinated European bailout to project-specific loans by state-controlled development banks and bilateral aid.

Other avenues short of a full-fledged bailout could involve loans by the European Investment Bank or the European Bank for Research and Development for specific projects, one of the officials said. Any such measure would require an agreement by EU’s member states.

Cardinal Says the Pope is More Concerned With Environment Than Pedophilia Allegations

Pope Francis is facing serious accusations that he covered up sexual abuse within the Catholic Church, but a Chicago cardinal is saying the pope is more concerned with what he considered to be more important issues.

“The pope knows we have a bigger agenda. We have to speak about the environment, about the poor, we have to reach out to people who are marginalized in society. We cannot be distracted at this moment,” Blase Cupich, the ninth archbishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago, said during an interview with WGN-TV.

Cupich — who is facing accusations himself — denies having any knowledge of sexual abuse against children and said he would have immediately reported any such cases.

David Katz: Yet Another Mass Shooter That Had His Mind Warped by Anti-Psychotic and Anti-Depressant Medications

This keeps happening over and over, and yet nobody in the mainstream media would ever dare to call for a federal investigation into the pharmaceutical companies. That is because the big drug corporations have literally spent billions of dollars advertising their products on television, on radio and in the newspapers over the years, and if that gravy train were to ever end the mainstream media would collapse. So the general public is not going to get the truth about what is really happening with these mass shootings. In almost every single case, we find out that the mass shooter had been on anti-psychotic or anti-depressant medications (or both). So it really came as no surprise whatsoever to learn that Jacksonville shooter David Katz had been on such drugs. The following comes from Fox News…

The gunman who opened fire on a “ Madden NFL 19” tournament in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday was hospitalized previously for mental illness, according to court records.

Divorce filings from the parents of 24-year-old David Katz of Baltimore showed that as a teenager he was hospitalized twice in psychiatric facilities and was prescribed anti-psychotic and anti-depressant medications, The Associated Press first reported Monday.

If you look into his eyes, it is obvious that David Katz was not fully there anymore.

Was he always that way?

Probably not.

But after years of being doped up on anti-psychotic and anti-depressant medications, he was almost certainly a much, much different person than he had been originally.

Is the Social Media Crackdown on Conservatives About to Get Even Worse?

On Friday, representatives from Facebook, Google, Twitter, Microsoft, Snapchat and other major social media companies gathered to discuss “strategy” for the 2018 election. Supposedly they were going to discuss how to combat the flow of “misinformation”, but we know what that means. Every time the social media giants pledge to do more to crack down on “fake news”, more conservatives get censored. In recent months we have witnessed the greatest purge of conservative voices in the history of the Internet, and as you will see below, even more prominent voices have been hit with bans in recent days. Of course the social media companies are pledging that their censorship efforts are being implemented in an even-handed manner, but obviously all of their meddling has greatly enhanced the probability that Democrats will emerge victorious in November.

According to Breitbart, this gathering of social media executives was initiated by Facebook, and it was held at Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco…

New White House Petition Demands Congress Pass Legislation Protecting Online Speech

A new White House petition has been launched urging President Trump to demand Congress pass legislation that defends free speech online.

The full petition, which can be signed here, reads as follows;

The internet is the modern public square. It is where political campaigns are fought and won, where journalism is created and distributed, and where grassroots movements are born. Yet, the free and open internet has become a controlled, censored space, monopolized by a few unaccountable corporations.

By banning users from their platforms, those corporations can effectively remove politically unwelcome Americans from the public square. That is repugnant to our shared values of free speech and freedom of the press.

The President should request that Congress pass legislation prohibiting social media platforms from banning users for First Amendment-protected speech. The power to block lawful content should be in the hands of individual users — not Mark Zuckerberg or Jack Dorsey.

Trump Haters Caught Leaving Out Huge Fact While Trashing Trump for Raising White House Flag After John McCain Tribute

You know it’s going to be a wild week when social media is in an uproar because they found out that the White House flag has already been raised back to the top of the pole following the tribute to the late John McCain. The White House lowered the flag on Saturday to pay tribute to McCain and it has already been raised on Monday.

Many news websites posted an article about the flag being raised and their headlines made it seem like President Trump and the White House were disrespecting John McCain by only leaving the flag lowered for a short time. It seems like the people writing those articles and the people reading ONLY the headlines are all harping on the fact that Trump and McCain were no friends of each other. Trump did send condolences to the family and the White House flag was still lowered, but we can all rest assured that they didn’t like each other. Playing off the fact that they were basically enemies and the White House flag was only lowered for a small amount of time, then it’s easy to imagine that the Trump haters will think the flag was raised on purpose to disrespect McCain.

That’s not true. Not even close.

Some people wanted the flag lowered to half-mast longer, at least until McCain’s funeral, but that’s not exactly how it works. Or is it? What actually happened is that the White House followed the United States Flag Code and people are upset about it.

Fake News Defends Racism and Genocide in South Africa

After President Trump asked Mike Pompeo to investigate what’s going on in South Africa, the fake news media immediately went on the attack. They published articles criticizing the President for expressing his concern and empathy for the plight of white South African farmers, that live in fear of being murdered for their land and possessions. And, although the story has been widely publicized in Russia and Australia for years, the media has concealed it from the American people.

Moreover, the fake news, self proclaimed paragons of truth and virtue, managed to keep the American people in the dark about the extent of racism and genocide against whites in South Africa until Tucker Carlson reported it on Fox News. The media also took a shot at Tucker Carlson for having the courage to expose it. Attacking people who tell the truth is the media’s modus operandi. As usual, the fake news brotherhood of Satan is showing their true colors; their hatred of truth, and their love of lies and deceit.

Furthermore, in an effort to discredit the story and the President, and conceal the truth, the New York Times published an article titled, “Trump Cites False Claims of Widespread Attacks on White Farmers in South Africa.” Ironically, the article stated: “The number of killings of farmers, including farm workers, is at a 20-year low, 47 in the fiscal year 2017-18, according to research published in July by AgriSA, a farmers’ organization in South Africa. That is down from 66 during the fiscal year before.” Apparently, the Times thinks it’s okay to kill white farmers as long as you keep it under 50 murders a year.

The Times failed to mention that Americans Against White Genocide in South Africa, a U.S. based organization, lodged a complaint with the International Criminal Courts in The Hague about white genocide in South Africa, citing the murders of white men, women and children who have been tortured, raped, and then killed. They report the murder rate of whites in South Africa is four times higher than that of the general population. According to their estimates over 70,000 whites have been murdered in cruel and often horrifying ways since 1994. That’s an average of over 2,916 white people murdered each year in South Africa.

African “Migrant” Suspected of Throwing German Girl Off Cliff in Italy

An African migrant is in custody, suspected of throwing a German girl off a cliff in Italy after possibly attempting to rape her, authorities say.

Law student Alena Sudakova, 21, was on holiday in Italy when she was discovered badly injured after a fall of approximately 230 feet from a cliff near the coastal town of Sanremo, according to reports, in an incident that occurred at the end of July but has received little media coverage until recently.

A 32-year-old North African man identified as Zied Yakoubi was also discovered at the scene, having reportedly fallen some distance himself, and was taken into custody under suspicion of attempted murder and attempted rape, investigator Barbara Bresci has confirmed.

Italian media reports that the suspect was in Italy illegally.

An additional odd detail that has raised questions is that fact that Sudakova’s “long hair” had reportedly been “cut off” when her body was discovered, and accounts in Italian media indicate she may have been thrown off the cliff by her hair.

Chemnitz Protests: Far-Right on March in East Germany

On an overcast afternoon, small candles flicker on the paving stones where, in the early hours of Sunday morning, a German carpenter in his thirties was fatally stabbed in a street fight.

Even now, complete strangers arrive to lay flowers, stand in silence, hold hands. This growing makeshift memorial has become a focus for this troubled city’s grief and anger.

Little is known about how or why the brawl started. Police have dismissed rumours circulating online that the man was defending a woman from sexual assault.

But within hours of his death in hospital, news that his killers were suspected to have been a Syrian and an Iraqi man triggered a furious and violent reaction.

For two nights running, hundreds and then thousands of right-wing extremists and sympathisers have taken to the streets.

The police openly admit they have been caught on the back foot both by the number of protesters and the speed at which they have mobilised. The groups behind the demonstrations have used social media to bring people together quickly.

On Monday night in particular, organisers were able to galvanise supporters from all over the country.

In cases where the victim did not know the attacker, the proportion of foreign offenders was more than 80%.

Nearly 40% of the convicted rapists are from the Middle East or from Africa, areas of the world from which Sweden has accepted large numbers of migrants in recent years.

The report also reveals that there are alarmingly few convictions of rapists compared to reports of rape.

Sweden’s government, which bills itself as “the first feminist government in the world” has remained completely silent on the new figures.

Sweden’s Political Parties Pander to Immigrants at ‘Malmedalen’ Festival

Saturday saw the launch of ‘Malmedalen’, a new political festival where Sweden’s parties can reach out to people in one of Malmö’s most segregated districts. We went along to see if it can work.

Outside the Social Democrat tent at the Malmedalen political festival, city councillor Sedat Arif is fighting for the votes of four young locals.

“When we came to Sweden we had all these advantages,” he says. “And we want our children to have them too. Should they have good schools or not? Or should schools be run by people who cheat and send all their money to tax havens?”

Hussein Abdulzahra, 22, nods appreciatively, and explains to Arif about how his “very good” local school in the area got him into the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, one of Sweden’s top universities.

In a Facebook video post filmed on August 15, the mother, Leen Kroetsch, takes aim at German politicians for what she claims is a botched immigration policy which is forcing her 3-year-old, who has no immigrant background, to adjust to an alien environment in the daycare center.

Levin wants Zuhdi Jasser to take McCain’s place. Great One, you just lost me in this. If you were aMuslim, as I was, you would know that Dr Jasser seeks to “reform” Islam, which he knows is factually impossible. How can Mohammed’s word be reformed???

  2. From my blogging experience: When you have not enough news, make a request in Google “Allahu Akbar” and set a time interval of 24 hours.
You are sure to find something in the news about the new tricks of Allahuakbarists.

    • Thanks for the tip. I find articles for the news feed by using key words such as “ISIS” and “Assange”. I also use a regular stable of publications.
