The Somali-American Minneapolis cop Mohamed Noor will plead not guilty to murdering Justine Damond. Mr. Noor’s lawyer said his client will cite self-defense to justify his shooting of Ms. Noor. Possibly the policeman feared that the dangerous woman at the window of the police vehicle might strangle his partner with her pajama sleeve, or something similar.
In other news, the Norwegian Progress Party will call for a ban on the Islamic call to prayer in Norway.

Job Market Remains Strong; Unemployment Rate at 50-Year Low
Unemployment claims for the week ending April 21 fell to new lows, according to the Department of Labor. On Thursday it reported that new claims fell to 209,000, far below forecasters’ expectations of 230,000. It also was the 24th week of jobless claims fewer than 250,000 and the 164th straight week of claims below 300,000.
Even more remarkable is that the last time jobless claims were this low was during the first term of President Richard Nixon, nearly 50 years ago, when the country’s labor force was just 153 million, compared to today’s work force of 162 million. Translation: Not only is the latest report from the Labor Department impressive, reflecting a vibrant and dynamic labor market, it’s even better when viewed through the lens of a smaller total labor market back then.

Reactions to “Chappaquiddick” Movie Vary
No normal-length movie could possibly cover the complexities of the event in the summer of 1969, known simply as “Chappaquiddick,” after the island off the coast of Massachusetts, where Senator Edward Kennedy’s presidential ambitions vanished after he left a young woman, Mary Jo Kopechne, to die in his submerged Oldsmobile in a tidal pond. Yet, this film, through the expert cinematic efforts of director John Curran and screenwriters Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan, comes as close as one can expect from a movie attempting to explain an event that is still shrouded in mystery.

(ANSA) — Rome, April 24 — Rome’s Jewish community said Tuesday it would not take part in a Liberation Day march with partisans’ association ANPI Wednesday accusing ANPI of not taking a clear stance against Palestinian groups who said they would attend waving Palestinian flags and wearing the keffiyeh.
“The ANPI, despite the agreements, did not decide to take a definitive stance about the organised presence of Palestinian and pro-Palestinian associations with symbols extraneous to the spirit of April 25,” the community said in a statement.

Italy: Sana’s Father, Brother and Uncle Arrested — Media
Pakistani-Brescian ‘killed for refusing arranged marriage’
(ANSA) — Rome, April 24 — The father, a brother and an uncle of Sana Cheema, the 25-year-old Brescian of Pakistani origin killed in Pakistan on April 18, have been arrested, Pakistani journalistic sources said Tuesday.
The young woman is believed to have been killed for refusing an arranged marriage.
The father, brother and uncle have been charged with murder and unauthorized burial.
Another two people are involved, the doctor who signed the death certificate and the driver who drove a car to the burial site.
Sana’s cousin was said to be the driver.
On Monday Pakistani authorities said they were investigating Cheema’s death.
Cheema, who became an Italian citizen in September after living for years in the northern city of Brescia, had returned to her birth country two months ago where she died of “natural causes”, according to initial reports from Pakistan.
However, members of the Pakistani community in Italy have said she was “killed by her father and brother because she refused an arranged marriage”.
Local media outlets also said she had a boyfriend in Brescia.
Raza Asif, the national secretary of the Pakistani community in Italy, on Sunday said prosecutors in the Pakistani district of Gujarat, where the young woman died, are investigating and “we will know the truth in 48 hours”.
The Italian foreign ministry is following the case through its embassy in Islamabad.
Cheema had opened an automotive office in Brescia but shut it down at the end of last year.
The Pakistani community in Brescia received a medical certificate stating that the young woman was taken to hospital on April 11 after feeling unwell, reportedly due to a heart attack.
They also said that her father and brother had not been arrested, as previously claimed by unconfirmed reports.

(ANSA) — Rome, April 26 — League leader Matteo Salvini has called for an end to insults after his coalition partner, ex-premier and Forza Italia leader Silvio Berlusconi, compared the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement to Nazis.
Berlusconi said that many people felt like “jews when Hitler appeared” with respect to the M5S.
The M5S refused to negotiate on forming a new government with the centre right after last month’s inconclusive general election as Salvini rejected their call for him to dump Berlusconi to make a deal possible.
“It’s better to be silent and respect the vote of the Italian people instead of talking nonsense,” said Salvini. “I want to give Italy a government. I’m fed up of insults, tantrums and quarrels”.

Italy: Migrant Arrested Near Naples Over Terror Plan to Drive Into Crowd
Gambian national ‘pledged allegiance to ISIS leader al-Baghdadi’
(ANSA) — Naples, April 26 — State and Carabinieri police arrested a Gambian national in an antiterrorism operation in Naples on Thursday, sources said.
The arrest comes after investigators found evidence the suspect was planning an attack, the sources said.
Alagie Touray, 21, admitted to investigators that he had received a request to drive a car into a crowd, the sources said. The evidence against him includes a video published on Telegram in which he allegedly pledges alliance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
He was detained as he left a mosque in Licola, in the province of Naples. Touray landed in Messina along with over 100 other asylum-seekers in March 2017.
He had been living in Pozzuoli, near Naples, for a year. The arrested man had made a request for political asylum and the application was still being considered by the authorities, according to the sources.

The Mysterious Disappearing “Reliance [Of the Traveler]”
This is a follow up to a recent blog post about Nuh Ha Mim Keller’s translation of the Reliance of the Traveller.
In it I gave a link to a copy of the PDF version of the Reliance on Archive.org which has since gone down, leaving an error message about missing metadata files. That sounds like a technical fault but Archiv.org have not responded to queries and some people who are familiar with the Reliance had predicted it would not last long.
Over the last two or three years I can think of at least three copies of the PDF which have disappeared from the internet. One hosting site left the explanation that the copyright holders were threatening legal action. It seems likely then that the Archiv.org copy, which was the last version left, has joined the list and will not be reappearing any time soon.
Moreover, an Islamic book site (also now apparently taken down) left a curious message against the entry for the book:
“Reliance of the Traveller (‘Umdaat Ul Salik)
TEMPORARILY REMOVED BY REQUEST OF NUH KELLER
until we provide a better translation than Nuh Keller’s”
What does he mean by a better translation? There certainly are those who question its accuracy. In his book The Third Choice Mark Durie gives examples of Keller putting a deceptively positive spin on items in the text, eg:
“Keller reports that a ‘non-Muslim may not enter the … Haram’ (the sacred precinct in Mecca). What the Arabic actually says is ‘idolater’ (mushrik) (o11.7), which is a more offensive term.”
Perhaps Keller regretted misleading Western readers by softening the text and wishes to put things right. Perhaps, but more likely he just realised that his book, giving such a clear view of the horrors of Islamic Law, is more useful to the counter jihad side than to the fellow Muslims he wrote it for, and simply wants to remove it from critical eyes. This could be a rare example of an Islamic apologist no-platforming himself. […]

I assume there is going to be a follow-up article on the Prague waiter attack, but to sum it up for anyone interested: two out of the group of seven were set free as they, acording to the police, weren’t involved in the attack and rather tried stopping the others, they are already back in the Netherlands. Other three, involved in the attack but not leading it, received 8 months probe time and were banned from the country for 5 years. The remaining two, who did most of the damage, were taken into custody for now. Aparenty one of them is an officer in Amsterdam, but the media, to my knowledge, didn’t specify if he tried to calm the situation or was one of the attackers. The two in custody are brothers and own a fitness studio, where they also work as personal trainers. Aparently they feel sorry about the attack and offered financial help to the victim, but I’m sure all regular readers of GoV suspect this isn’t an honest plead, it’s an attempt to lower their sentence. On a conspiracy theory note it wouldn’t surprise me if the attack was planned beforehand to check and see how our police, justice and nation as a whole would react.
As much as I also am a conspiracy theorist, this doesn’t look like any conspiracy to me. Drunk idiots do these kind of things everywhere, although 99% of Czechs would never go after one that fell to the ground – this just proves that these idiots came from different ‘culture’.
Don’t forget that Prague is a place to go for drugs, whores, and heavy drinking. This alone can make inexperienced self-intoxicators mad.
Most conspiracy I see in this is that one of them is a cop in Netherlands. If true, than that is an outrage!
The conspiracy part was a joke, don’t take it so seriously…

Considering the situation of little Alfie Evans and his parents, I am of the opinion that when the State decides who shall live and who shall die then the dystopian philosopher Nietzsche’s “transvaluation of all values” has come to pass. This is the inversion of nature expressed as “hostility to life” to the point where it reverses the natural relationship between conscious perception and subsequent control of actions.
Decades of subliminal conditioning have brought us to the point where this perverted philosophy has become the guiding rule of Western elites and their enforcement arms. There can be little doubt that the end times are close and thus, to survive, we must identify, locate, isolate then destroy the core practitioners of this abomination. If we do not we will cease to exist. the Four Horsemen can be heard on the near horizon.
Thank you.Your comment is highly valuable !
…”relationship between conscious perception and subsequent control of actions.

Hi is NOT Wishy-washy like present one..
With regard to Officer Noor in Minneapolis, I have never, ever, once, read of a Muslim defendant say “I did it. I’m so terribly sorry. How can I make amends?” Always some lie or excuse. Gang rape? “But she pleaded with the six of us to let her have it.” Or the rape of a ten-year old boy: “I didn’t hear him say ‘no’ “. And so it goes on and on and on. No honour, no remorse. And in this trial in Minneapolis, jurors – if any of them are Somalis or other Muslims – might well reach their decision along sectarian/religious lines rather than on the basis of truth, honour and what is right.
Yes, they never admit. It’s very scary, and someday must be fought fiercely.
But never will be.
“But, Noor wisely, for himself, declined to cooperate with the investigators.”

I found this on a Muslim website with the tag #Islamophobia
I do not know the French language, I can not say what it is about.

A French doctor refuses to treat/see a child because her mother wears a #Hijab…
“You are not integrated, I don’t want to help women who wear the Hijab. You’re not allowed dress this way outside.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2Wcq2dBiZM
Well the mother comes across as primed on the matter, does not take no from the doctor without unloading her opinion. She starts by accusing the doctor of prejudicing her daughter via her, or more precisely her dress, she says her hijab is legal, that she is 100% French and born there, that she is accepted everywhere as she is. The doctor does not get much say in ( that you can here), but at one point it seems she tries to explain that she herself has been discriminated against by Islamic patients ( for being a woman or non muslim is not clear) . The mother says that only because the setting is private does the doctor have any choice, the doctor says that the mother is not representative of French custom.
The duty of of medical workers is quite a topic. In principal the basis is complete non discrimination, with exemption on few grounds ( e.g. detracting from serving others), but in reality it could be argued that at the least the doctor feels compromised in the circumstance and therefore cannot centre herself morally or be of proper service. Though the standards aimed for are high, you cannot force a doctor, and ” do no harm” is a guiding spirit that might recommend a doctor abstain, for her patient or even for her own sanctity.
It is a theme that is much argued nowadays, not just on grounds of religion.
Also, from a wider ethical standpoint, doctors pledge not to release detail on their patients of any kind.
Here you have a doctors interaction recorded and purposefully released/used by a patient. If there was malpractice maybe that would be acceptable, but here there is simply no practice. Somehow this strikes me as unbalanced, even if we were to accept that rejection of patients on religious grounds was not acceptable. It turns the patient doctor relationship into a political battleground, meaning doctors would feel obliged even before they considered, and that would necessarily interefere with the intuition of their practice, an intuition they alone are subject to on so many levels and trusted alone to find their way through.
What is also noteworthy is that the mother “lets off” the doctor because it is a private practice. This in turn suggests that public practice is ruled by obligatory ethics first, that is to say it demonstrates how the politics of public enterprise have taken over any independent decision by those on the front line, those that carry all the responsibility – the staff. Add to that that discrimination openly exists in the public service based on nationality etc. – so there is hypocrisy to be found.
Even simpler – if you ask from someone and they say “in this manner” and you say ” no”, then you go ask someone else, you don’t spend your time giving them an earful on politics or religion.
Some people don’t like hijab, some people don’t like western dress, so?
In a western country western dress is default…let us see the mother go to Saudi in western dress and see how she is treated by people there, and then place her insistance on a hijab into perspective…in certain places she would not even make it to the doctor.
“The Somali-American Minneapolis cop Mohamed Noor will plead not guilty to murdering Justine Damond. Mr. Noor’s lawyer said his client will cite self-defense to justify his shooting of Ms. Noor. Possibly the policeman feared that the dangerous woman at the window of the police vehicle might strangle his partner with her pajama sleeve, or something similar.”
Well, obviously Noor’s lawyer will claim that Noor saw himself as being threatened by a mysterious body that appeared suddenly in the dark outside. I would see them as trying to get the charge of first-degree murder down to manslaughter. I doubt that even a Muslim lawyer would be able to argue that Noor was genuinely threatened. Noor obviously violated police rules by firing at someone he had not seen. And if he did admit to seeing her, he did, indeed, open himself up to a first-degree murder charge. But, Noor wisely, for himself, declined to cooperate with the investigators. In fact, anyone who knows what is good for him will refuse to give testimony to police about his own actions, under any circumstances whatsoever. If police question you about your movements or actions, lawyer up, and refuse any information. I’m afraid the legal system has become a conveyor belt to criminalize those whom the investigators have a reason to damage. Let a lawyer negotiate immunity for you if you want to help with an investigation by giving information about yourself.
