But there is a way to mostly opt out. By default, users will already be giving Facebook permission to use the facial recognition AI if their tag suggestions setting is currently “on.” In order to opt out, the user must switch the tag suggestions setting to “none.”

Now that a judge has finally hit the violent, Berkeley middle school teacher, Yvette Felarca, with a huge fine, will the woman who organizes violent anti-free speech protests (when she’s not influencing young minds), give up on her life of crime?
Commissioner Thomas Rasch of the Superior Court of Alameda County ordered Berkeley By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) leader Yvette Felarca (@YvetteFelarca) to pay former Berkeley College Republicans (BCR) (@BerkeleyCRs) president Troy Worden (@TroyWorden) $11,100 for filing a frivolous civil harassment restraining order against Worden last year, today.
Rasch ruled that the restraining order had not been filed in good faith and ordered Felarca to pay Worden’s attorney fees.
Felarca, a Berkeley Middle School teacher who was twice arrested last year for incitement of a riot, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer, filed the frivolous restraining against Worden to stifle his freedom of speech at U.C. Berkeley after BCR had invited several conservative speakers to speak on campus. Berkeley’s actions in blocking those speakers are the subject of a separate federal civil rights lawsuit.

Judge in Las Vegas Dismisses Case Against Cliven Bundy, 2 Sons
A federal judge dismissed all charges Monday against Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy, two of his sons and another man.
U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro, who granted a mistrial in the case last month, said Monday’s decision was based, in part, on “flagrant prosecutorial misconduct.”
First Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Myhre, the lead prosecutor on the case, declined to comment on the decision.
Attorney Bret Whipple, who represents Bundy, said his client wiped away tears after the decision.
“He’s just ecstatic about the results, and we’re glad he’s finally going home,” Whipple said outside the courtroom.
As Bundy’s wife, Carol, waited for her husband’s release, she said, “It’s just a good day to have a good day. God blessed America once again.”
Bundy, who has been in custody nearly two years, later walked out of the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse with his wife and Whipple. He was met by a crowd of supporters and reporters.

Austrian Teen Charged With Plotting Christmas Market Attack With German Boy
An 18-year-old is suspected of planning acts of terror in Germany and Austria as well as instructing a 12-year-old German boy to attack a south German Christmas market in 2016.
Accused by the Vienna prosecution authority of membership of a terrorist organization, attempted use of an explosive device and of instigating violence, the Austrian boy has been charged on several terror related accounts, reported press agency APA on Sunday.
Lorenz K., who turns 19 years old in a few days, was arrested in Vienna in January last year and has since been in police detention.
Born and raised in Austria and the son of Albanian parents, Lorenz K. is believed to have become radicalized in jail at 16 while serving a sentence for robbery. He was reportedly further radicalized after visiting several mosques once released.

Famous UK Pop Star Says it Doesn’t Matter if 1 Million Children Were Raped by Immigrant Rape Gangs…
Because “they would have been raped or abused by somebody else”
The argumentative pop singer infuriated a lot of people on Twitter when she claimed that Muslim grooming gang victims in the UK could have been “raped or abused by somebody else at some point” if the Muslim gangs didn’t rape them.
While discussing the serious issue of Muslim rape gangs in the UK, Lily Allen claimed that the type of rapist who attacks their stepdaughter is “100 percent British white male.”
Recent research by counter-extremism think tank Quilliam found that 84 percent of grooming gang members are of ‘Asian’ origin, with founder Maajid Nawaz characterizing them as “British South-Asian Muslim men”.
When a Twitter user asked Allen if “those children would have been raped if we hadn’t let those people [Muslim refugees] come here?”, she sarcastically suggesting that perhaps we should stop immigration because some brown men raped some white girls in Rochdale.
Allen then made the most outrageous and ignorant statement of all: “Actually, there’s a strong possibility they would have been raped or abused by somebody else at some point. That’s kind of the issue.”
Allen then doubled down on ignorant with this tweet, suggesting that all white British males “have sex with their stepdaughters twice a week for years at a time. The neighbors, uncles, gardeners, priests, fast food restaurant managers that do it over and over again.”

French Intelligence ‘Doctored Files’ To Cover Up Failings Over Islamist Murder of Priest
French spies doctored files to cover up failings that resulted in jihadists murdering a priest in his church, according to Frenchreports.
Claims that agents post-dated documents to cover their blunders have cast a fresh spotlight on counterterrorism agencies in the wake of over a string of terror attacks that have left 239 people dead in France since 2015.
Red tape and a battle of egos between intelligence managers are costing lives, according to the report published by Mediapart, the investigative news website, which conducted a six-month investigation into the blunders.
On July 26, 2016, Islamists Adel Kermiche and Abdel Malik Petitjean burst into a church in the small town of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy and slit the throat of Jacques Hamel, the 85-year-old priest, in front of four parishioners. Police shot dead the pair as they left the church.
However, it now appears that five days previously an agent at the Paris Police Prefecture Intelligence Unit had come across an encrypted channel on Telegram, a favoured messaging service with terrorists, containing a message from a certain @Jayyed boasting that “I haven’t been uncovered”.
@Jayyed was in fact Kermiche, who then posted a video on the channel claiming that he gave lessons in a mosque in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.
In one message he urged attacks on churches and said that with a knife one could “cut off two or three heads” and create “carnage”.
A subsequent police report noted that the comments “clearly pointed towards a jihadist profile turned in an explicit manner towards the Islamic State organisation”.
The agent who uncovered the worrying message informed his superiors of what he considered an imminent threat and advised them to inform the General Direction of Interior Security, the French equivalent of MI5.
However, his written warnings went unanswered and senior officers at the Paris Police Prefecture Intelligence Unit were away at the time…

German National TV Attacks Poland in New Propaganda Documentary
The German-French channel Arte, broadcasted a documentary two weeks ago, that supports both the Polish opposition and the “vision” of the European Union. Arte is a company owned by Germany’s national state-sponsored broadcasters ARD and ZDF.
The documentary, called Polen vor der Zerreiß (Poland before the ordeal), attacks Poland’s ruling government by stating that democracy in the country is disappearing.
The main subject in the documentary is MEP and member of the current opposition party Civic Platform Roza Thun. She openly supports further European integration and is also a member of the Spinelli group: a left-wing group in the European Parliament with Eurocrat Guy Verhofstadt (as its leader? ).
She says Poland is becoming a dictatorship if it continues along its current path and furthermore she states that she will fight against it. The German made documentary completely focuses on Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party.
The democratically elected party, that doesn’t want to take migrants and reflects the will of the people through winning a large mandate in the last election, is attacked throughout the documentary.
Poland is portrayed as a country in which anti-government manifestations are brutally suppressed by the police and the power which is in the hands of government party leader Jaroslaw Kacznski.
It is not a coincidence that a Polish MEP and opposition member works together with Germany’s state controlled media: Poland’s ruling party is in conflict with both. The Law and Justice party does not accept the EU’s migrant quotas and is thinking about asking for WW II reparations from Germany.

Germany: Several Women Sexually Assaulted in Berlin During NYE: Safety Area a Total Failure
Berlin’s newly constructed “safety area” for women, could not prevent several sexual assaults during the city’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.
At this moment, at least 13 cases were reported to the police and seven suspects were arrested in the German capital. Police refused to provide information about the ethnicity or the nationality of the perpetrators.
Near midnight, Berlin’s police tweeted that they were receiving the first reports of sexual assaults, a fact that was quickly picked up by German media.

It Took Only Three Days for Germany’s New Hate Speech Law to Cause Collateral Damage
Germany’s new hate speech law just went into effect at the beginning of the year and it’s already paying off. But not in the way German government officials expected, nor in the way anyone who isn’t in the German government wanted it to.
The law is a bad one: it criminalizes certain speech, which is already problematic. The problems go much deeper than that, though. Instead of targeting German citizens who post illegal speech, the government targets American social media platforms, demanding the removal of illegal posts in less than 24 hours on the pain of up to €50m fines. On top of that, employees of service providers tasked with removals can also be fined €5m personally for not reacting fast enough to government demands.
So, it’s bad. And determining what is or isn’t illegal is in the eyes of government beholders. Faced with the prospect of expensive fines, Twitter, Facebook, etc. are probably not going to be second-guessing many government requests for content deletion. Worse, it’s going to encourage service providers to be proactive, amplifying the underlying vagueness of the German “hate speech” law. False positives are a given. We just didn’t expect the collateral damage to occur so quickly.
A German satirical magazine’s Twitter account was blocked after it parodied anti-Muslim comments, the publication said on Wednesday, in what the national journalists association said showed the downside of a new law against online hate speech.

Italy’s Lega Nord Commits to Leaving the Euro, Tripling Deportations, And Securing the Border
Matteo Salvini, who leads Italy’s nationalist-populist Lega Nord (Northern League), has committed to leaving the European Union’s single currency zone if he wins big in this year’s elections.
Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament and a fellow Italian, had recently suggested that the right-leaning firebrand was reversing course on his long-running plan to leave the euro, which Salvini believes erodes national sovereignty and disadvantages the economies of Southern Europe to Germany’s advantage.

UK: Derby Terrorist Munir Mohammed Had ‘Same Bomb Making Guide Used by Manchester Arena Attacker’
A Derby terrorist who plotted an attack on the UK in support of Islamic State was in possession of a video bomb making guide understood to have been used by the Manchester Arena attacker.
Munir Mohammed was, on Monday, found guilty at the Old Bailey in London of plotting a “devastating attack” against those he considered “enemies of IS”.
Mohammed, of Leopold Street, Derby, was held in a major counter terrorism operation in December 2016.
His partner, Rowaida El-Hassan, 33, of Willesden Lane, north-west London, was also convicted of plotting a terror attack.

UK: Labour’s Jess Phillips Sides With Lily Allen in Defending Muslim Rape Gangs
Labour MP Jess Phillips has come to the defence of singer Lily Allen, after she claimed grooming gang victims would have been “raped or abused by somebody else at some point” if Muslim groomers were not present in the United Kingdom.
Asked if the victims, who were overwhelmingly white working class, would have been groomed if their abusers were not present in the country, Allen claimed that, “Actually, there’s a strong possibility they would have been raped and abused by somebody else at some point. That’s kind of the issue.”
The celebrity then tried to divert attention from the subject of grooming gangs by saying people should be concerned with another type of abuser — “men that have sex with their stepdaughters twice a week for years at a time … neighbours, uncles, gardeners, priests, fast food restaurant managers that do it over and over again” — who she characterised as 100 per cent “British white males”…
Allen’s comments prompted a substantial backlash on social media which saw her lock her Twitter account — but Jess Phillips said her “stand” was “inspiring”.
“Watching Lily Allen and Stella Creasy stand their ground for [the] last few days is inspiring for those who need resilience,” she tweeted, referring to the singer and one of her parliamentary colleagues.
“Oh for the days of reasonable discourse where issues could be explored,” she complained.
The left-liberal politician is no stranger to controversy herself, having infamously dismissed the mass sexual assault of German women by migrant men in Cologne on New Year’s Eve 2015.

Gary Staples, 50, denies eight counts of encouraging terrorism, and his trial got underway at the Old Bailey on Monday (January 8).
The court heard how Staples allegedly spread terrorist propaganda on his YouTube and Google Plus account, while he was living in Crowther Road, South Norwood.

UK: Terrorists Who Plotted Bomb and Knife Attack Received £800k Legal Aid
They were planning a Lee Rigby-style attack, yet the taxpayer picks up their legal tab.
Khobaib Hussain, 25, Naweed Ali, 30, Mohibur Rahman, 33, and Tahir Aziz, 38, were jailed for a collective total of 55 years after a failed bomb and knife plot.
They received the money to pay for solicitors, barristers and QCs.
The terrorists were planning a Lee Rigby-style attack and Ali was found to have a pipe bomb in the back of his car. A hatchet was also found with the word ‘kafir’ (non-believer) scratched into it:

What Happened in Sweden: Security Chief Says Terror Threat is ‘New Normal’
The Director-General of the Swedish Security Service (Säpo) has confessed that terrorism is now the “new normal” in his country.
Anders Thornberg told the BBC that, while the Scandinavian country only had to monitor around 200 extremists a few years ago, it now has at least 3,000 to contend with — no small task for a country of just 10 million people, where the authorities are already unable to deal with a growing migrant crime wave.

What We Get for the Hundreds of Millions We Give to Terrorists
“We pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect,” President Trump tweeted. “With the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?”
The President of the United States has a very good point. But it’s not as if the Islamic terrorists in the West Bank and Gazan territories of Israel have ever been willing to do more than occasionally talk peace before getting bored and stomping away from the table. And then stabbing a few children to death.
The United States has paid the PLO’s Palestinian Authority billions to occasionally pretend to talk about peace. There isn’t a dollar amount high enough to get the terrorists to actually agree to peace.
We know two things about the terrorist leader who will succeed Arafat and Abbas. His name will start with an ‘A’ and like Arafat and Abbas, he’ll wait around for the perfect moment in a peace negotiation with a lefty president before, as Arafat did to Clinton and Abbas did to Obama, breaking it all up.
And that’s one of the priceless things that the fake terror statelet of the Palestinian Authority gives us for our hundreds of millions of dollars. Every decade its leader will lead on a lefty and then leave him at the altar. It may cost us another few billion, but somewhere around 2026, President Cory Booker will be certain that he’s finally solved the Palestinian problem only to sit there confused with egg on his face.
Is that worth hundreds of millions of dollars a year? Maybe not. But it’s also a good lesson to lefties that they don’t understand the Muslim world and that no matter how hard they try, they never will.
But that’s not all that we get for our money.

Iran Bans Teaching English in Schools to Fight ‘Western Cultural Invasion’
Islamic leaders in Iran have banned English teaching from the curriculum of all junior schools to insulate the country from what they see as the invasion of Western cultural ideas and principles. “Teaching English in government and non-government primary schools in the official curriculum is against laws and regulations,” Mehdi Navid-Adham, head of the state-run high education council, announced on state television. “The assumption is that in primary education the groundwork for the Iranian culture of the students is laid.”
The announcement comes as Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said the last of the anti-government protests that have roiled the country for the past week have finally been “put down.”
Those riots have been variously attributed to a host of foreign factors, although Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have been pinpointed as the main architects of the unrest, as Breitbart Jerusalem reported.

Jihadi Teacher-in-charge allegedly thrashes kids for singing Vande Mataram in an UP School.
Bharatendu Tiwari | HENB | Mirzapur | Jan 7, 2018:: A Muslim teacher-in-charge (headmaster) of a primary school in Mirzapur was suspended for allegedly beating students and preventing them from folding hand for Saraswati Vandana and singing Vande Matram during prayers. Vande Matram (Salutation to the Mother India) is the National Song of India.
According to reports, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) of Mirzapur Pravin Kumar Tiwari went to the primary school at Jafarkhani village in Jamalpur block for an investigation on 29 Dec last year. He suspended Shahid Faisal, the teacher-in-charge of the primary school after preliminary investigations.
“We have been receiving complaints from parents of students that the headmaster did not allow students to singSaraswati Vandana with folded hands or say Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai. He also allegedly beat students when they did not obey his command,” the BSA said.
During investigation, the teacher-in-charge said that he used to stop children a year back in the month of Ramjan as those hymns of Saraswati Vandana and National Anthem could pollute his Wudu (oju — ritual purification in Islam) in the holy month…

Dormant Papua New Guinea Volcano Erupts for First Time
Hundreds of people are fleeing the island of Kadovar after a violent volcano has erupted for the first time in history. There have also been warnings that tsunamis could strike the island after the alarming eruption.
Mount Tavurvur, in the town of Rabaul in East New Britain province, erupted at 3 a.m. Friday morning, local time. The volcano, located in Papua New Guinea, was thought to be dormant. It has now erupted for the first time in known history, spewing ash thousands of feet into the air and forcing the evacuation of hundreds of residents. But the worst could be forthcoming, as experts now fear this surprising eruption could lead to landslides and tsunamis in the area.

Death of Peter Sutherland, Mass Migration Advocate Dubbed ‘Father of Globalisation’
Peter Sutherland, the notorious mass migration and multiculturalism campaigner dubbed the ‘father of globalisation’, has died.
Sutherland, 71, was a key player on a host of globalist bodies and multinational corporations, including the European Commission, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and Goldman Sachs International, throughout his life.
As the United Nations Special Representative for Migration and non-executive chairman of Goldman Sachs International in 2012, he infamously remarked that the European Union should “be doing its best to undermine” the sense of national “homogeneity” in Britain and Europe, in order to pave the way for multicultural societies.
“The United States, or Australia and New Zealand, are migrant societies and therefore they accommodate more readily those from other backgrounds than we do ourselves, who still nurse a sense of our homogeneity and difference from others,” he told the House of Lords.
“And that’s precisely what the European Union, in my view, should be doing its best to undermine.”
The Ireland-born globalist argued that the supposed threat of an ageing population was the “key argument … for the development of multicultural states”, and that the EU should push mass migration “however difficult it may be to explain this to the citizens”.

France Received Record 100,000 Asylum Requests in 2017
More than 100,000 people requested asylum in France in 2017, a “historic” number and an increase of 17 percent on the year before, according to the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons (OFPRA).
In a statement on Monday, OFPRA director Pascal Brice said the figures show that “France is one of the top countries for seeking asylum in Europe” after Germany, which expects to receive just under 200,000 requests for asylum in 2018.

German TV to Air Film in Which Europeans Flee to Africa as Refugees From Populist Governments
German public broadcaster ARD has announced they will be airing a made-for-tv film in which a European family flees to Africa as “refugees” in a future where populist governments rule much of Western Europe.
The film, entitled Auf der Flucht, or On the Run in English, features a family of Germans fleeing Europe as refugees to the fictional South African Union, according to a press release for the film.
According to the description of the film, Europe is ruled by “right-wing extremists” in the near future, while the South African Union is seen as an economically and politically stable area in comparison.

Libyan Navy Rescues Migrants From Stranded Boats, 272 Returned to North Africa
BENGHAZI, Libya (AP) — Libya’s navy says it has rescued 272 migrants whose vessels were stranded in the Mediterranean Sea as they tried to reach southern Europe.
A navy statement late Sunday said the migrants were on two vessels. The engine of one vessel sank into the sea while the engine of the other broke down.

Meltdown and Spectre: Intel’s Seismic it Disaster and a Look at Some Implication for Banks
The press has greatly under-reported the two security holes, called Meltdown and Spectre, that can without exaggeration be characterized as affecting just about every computing device in use today (with very rare exceptions, like the Apple Watch). And because the media has so badly dropped the ball, your humble blogger will start with a high-level introductory piece, in the hopes that the IT and security experts in our readership will chime in, ideally in comments, with more information and ideas. Lambert has more posts planned, and they will be more technical in nature.
One of the most obvious points, that cannot be made often enough, is that these security holes exist at the most foundational hardware level, the processors. Initial reports were that they could be fixed only via Very Extreme Measures, like getting hardware without the dodgy Intel chips. That was quickly scaled back to “oh, patches are being launched.”
The wee problem is that with a flaw this fundamental and widespread, these patches aren’t just any patches. Given the severity of the flaws (and Spectre is more recalcitrant than Meltdown), the industry’s incentives are to say whatever it can throw at the problem is adequate whether they really address the problems or not. These fixes are also said to slow down performance by 5% to 30% per process. That is a massive haircut, particularly in a high volume setting. Perhaps later optimizations can cut the performance cost, but the flip side is that later patches that do a better job could just as well increase the performance hit…

It is perhaps like a scam, with the processor as the uninformed front man, and the various user processes that share the processor as the ultimate victims.
The processor is hardwired to make *good* guesses [“speculative execution”] about what to do next, and makes a good job of it. However, the quality of the guess is based on the fundamental and inevitable assumption that the instruction stream is, as it were, honest, about what it is trying to do. CPUs can’t help making this assumption; they have no insight into what smells wrong and what doesn’t.
So: subvert these good intentions by presenting the processor with a dishonest and, to insightful human eyes, wildly improbable instruction stream, that is cunningly engineered to extract information about the carefully hidden inner workings of the host. The processor will now haplessly & obliviously leak info about stuff it’s meant to keep secret, thus compromising the security of all the other user processes.
