In other news, it has just been reported that last month’s nuclear test in North Korea caused a partial collapse of a new tunnel under the mountain used for nuclear tests, killing as many as 200 laborers.

Bloodbath in Downtown NYC After Driver Runs Over Pedestrians, Starts Shooting
Up to six people were killed near Stuyvesant High School in lower Manhattan Tuesday afternoon in a wild incident that involved a truck ramming into victims on the West Side bike path, police sources said.
The mayhem happened at West Street and Chambers Street at 3:15 p.m. The suspect was shot and is in police custody, cops said.
Witnesses described a scene of terror, saying a man in a truck ran over two people before plowing into a school bus.
“Jesus! A car just ran over 2 people and then crashed into a school bus. I see two dead bodies and citibikes on the floor destroyed,” a Twitter user wrote.
The suspect then got out of his vehicle with two guns, another witness said.
“What happened was there was a car crash … he came out of one of the cars. He had two guns,” a 14-year-old Stuyvesant High School student said. “We thought it was a Halloween thing. He started running around the highway. There was another guy in a green shirt that was chasing him around.”
“I heard four to six gunshots — everybody starts running,” she added.
Video of the scene shows at least two people lying limp on the street. Photos show a smashed-up Home Depot rental truck and two mangled Citi Bikes.

City of Charlottesville Blamed for August Violence
“The City of Charlottesville was responsible for the events on August 12,” a preliminary report of the Governor’s Civil Unrest Task Force has concluded. The report was compiled by first responders from around Virginia in response to the tragic and violent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, in which neo-Nazis and members of the Ku Klux Klan clashed with Antifa demonstrators. Motorist Kills Several Pedestrians Near World Trade Center, Then is Shot by Police
Reports: At least 6 dead after motorist plows into pedestrians near World Trade Center
A motorist drove onto a busy bicycle path near the World Trade Center memorial in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday and fatally struck several people, then emerged from the vehicle screaming and brandishing “imitation firearms” before he was shot by police.
The afternoon incident began with a driver careening on to a pedestrian walkway and bike path, striking several people at a high speed, the New York police said via Twitter.

“There are several fatalities and numerous people injured,” police tweeted. “The vehicle continued south, striking another vehicle. The suspect exited the vehicle displaying imitation firearms and was shot by NYPD.”
An Associated Press photographer on the scene witnessed at least two bodies lying motionless on the path beneath tarps.
The New York Police Department posted on its Twitter feed that one person was in custody after having been shot by responding officers.
A man who was riding in an Uber along the West Side Highway near Chambers Street said he saw several bleeding people on the ground after a truck struck several people, according to media reports.
A witness said the truck had also collided with a small bus and one other vehicle.

Police respond to incident in Lower Manhattan
The New York City Police Department is responding to reports of a shooting in Lower Manhattan Tuesday, a few blocks from the World Trade Center Memorial.
It was not immediately clear how many people were hurt.
Police tweeted that one person has been taken into custody and “no others outstanding.”
Witnesses reportedly told local media that a vehicle drove down a popular bike path and hit pedestrians and people biking. Witnesses also said the incident may have been caused by a fight between two truck drivers.

Suspect in Tribeca Truck Attack Identified as Uzbek National: Sources
The 29-year-old man detained after a flatbed truck drove down a popular lower Manhattan bike path, killing at least 8 people and injuring more than a dozen more, has been identified as an Uzbek national living in New Jersey.
Authorities said the man, identified by sources as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, is thought to be a “lone actor” in the attack in the Hudson River Greenway between Houston and Chambers streets on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources said Saipov lives in Paterson, New Jersey, but he had a Florida license with a Tampa address when he was arrested. Police and federal agents were seen swarming the neighborhood street where he was thought to live on Tuesday evening.
The suspect also allegedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” at some point during the suspected terror attack. He was also seen running through traffic on West Street with what appeared to be a BB gun and a paintball gun. He was shot afterward and is being treated at Bellevue Hospital, where sources said he remains in custody.
U.S. intelligence officials said they had no knowledge of any terror groups claiming responsibility for the violence.
Saipov also pleaded guilty to two traffic offenses in Pennsylvania between 2012 and 2015, according to records from the Keystone State. There was no other information on whether the man had any other criminal record.

Former UW Student Jailed in Terrorism Case
WATERLOO — A former University of Waterloo engineering student who promoted violent jihad has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for his involvement in a terrorist group.
Kevin Omar Mohamed, 25, was arrested in Waterloo in March 2016 by the RCMP, who had been tracking him after he flew to Turkey in 2014 and crossed the border into Syria with the intention of joining Jabhat Al-Nusrah (JAN), an al-Qaida linked jihadist group.
Mohamed was sentenced in Ontario Superior Court on Tuesday for “participating in or contributing to, directly or indirectly, any activity of a terrorist group for the purpose of enhancing the ability of any terrorist group to facilitate or carry out a terrorist activity.”

Gunmen dressed in Halloween costumes gunned down clubbers at an illegal east London rave leaving a man and woman seriously injured.
Thugs in clown, ghost and ghoul masks unleashed a hail of bullets, hitting a 41-year-old man in his leg and a woman, in her twenties, in the chest, at the Money Move party in Leyton, east London.
A gang of three men were responsible for the attack inside and outside the makeshift club, with shocking witness footage showing one man return fire with a handgun.

Footage captured in the aftermath of the brutal scenes shows a wounded man being helped by a female reveller who used a belt as a tourniquet.

Collapse at North Korea Nuclear Test Site ‘Leaves 200 Dead’
As many as 200 North Korean labourers have been killed after a mine shaft being dug at the regime’s nuclear test site collapsed, according to Japan’s Asahi TV.
Sources in North Korea told the news channel that a tunnel being excavated by around 100 workers at the Punggye-ri test site collapsed earlier this month.
An additional 100 labourers sent to rescue their colleagues were reportedly killed when the tunnel suffered a second collapse.
An exact date for the disaster has not been provided, but it comes shortly after North Korea conducted its sixth — and most powerful — underground nuclear test at the site…

Report: North Korean Nuclear Test Tunnel Collapse Kills 200 Workers
Japanese media are reporting that a new tunnel under construction at North Korea’s Punggye-ri test site collapsed this month, killing up to 200 laborers.
The UK Telegraph notes that outside observers do not know the exact date of the collapse because the North Korean regime is not eager to discuss the incident, but it reportedly occurred after North Korea’s most powerful nuclear test detonation to date on September 3.
According to the Japanese report, the tunnel collapsed and trapped or killed about one hundred laborers who were working on expanding it. Another hundred were killed in a second collapse while attempting to rescue the first group.
As the Telegraph notes, the powerful September 3 blast reportedly collapsed several underground structures near Punggye-ri, as well as causing landslides on the surface.

Returning ISIS Jihadis Could be Passing on Skills
There are concerns that jihadis who have returned to Australia from fighting with ISIS in Iraq and Syria could be radicalising and recruiting more extremists to their cause, Acting Prime Minister Julie Bishop has revealed.

Mass Brawl Breaks Out Between Italians and Over 30 Asylum Seekers
Four young men were reported to judicial authorities over the weekend in Pisa after 10 Italian citizens and 30 asylum seekers engaged in a mass brawl in what the local police described as a revenge attack by the migrants.
The brawl took place on Saturday night when asylum seekers in the Sardinian city of Sassari approached 20 Italian young men near the Dettori Square. The fight occurred after an asylum seeker claimed that several Italians had beaten him and returned to the nearby asylum home on Solari road where he recruited other asylum seekers to get revenge on his alleged attacker, L’Union Sarda reports.

On Sweden promises better protection for police officers: Back in my day when I was on the ‘job’ risk assessments were made for any officer who had received death threats.
High risk level meant that the officer went to and from home with all their issued weapons. In stark contrast, Sweden is not serious in even attempting to protect its officers who are at high risk.
It’s not individual officers; whole police force is under attack by criminal (drug dealing) gangs from the suburbs; I read these days an estimated 5000 of “important” individuals in these gangs IMO the basic problems are: a) Swedish law is made for mostly decent and reasonable citizens. b) Multiculturalists hindered to require the immigrants behave in a “Swedish” way; starting in the schools. c) Swedish police lacks officers: they have less than 20000 at a total population of about 10 million and an area of about the size of California.
