The man from Southside Virginia who drove at high speed into two policemen and a transportation worker in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington D.C. has appeared in court. Brandon Figures-Mormon (or Morman), the driver of the pickup truck that seriously wounded three people on Thursday night, is charged with assault with intent to kill. Based on the testimony of his passenger — who is also being charged — Mr. Figures-Mormon deliberately targeted the police officers, and may have had a grudge against police in general.
In other news, the party of French President Emmanuel Macron is heading for a landslide victory in local elections this weekend.

DC Officer Remains in Hospital; Truck Driver Charged
Two officers riding bicycles were struck by a vehicle in Northwest D.C., police said.
A Metropolitan Police Department officer remains in the hospital after he, a fellow officer and a D.C. Department of Transportation traffic aide were struck by a truck on Thursday night.
The officer in the hospital, who has not been identified, is in critical but stable condition, according to a police spokesperson. The other officer and the DDOT worker were treated and released.
Police said all three were in the Adams Morgan neighborhood when a pickup truck plowed into them and then hit a dump truck. Two men inside the truck, Brandon Figures-Mormon, 22, of Disputanta, Virginia, and Dwayne Nicholas Taylor, 23, of Prince George, Virginia, were arrested.
Figures-Mormon was charged with assault with intent to kill and possession of an unregistered firearm.

Puerto Rico Votes for Statehood in Referendum Marred by Record Low Turnout
A little over a month after the island effectively filed for bankruptcy protection, Puerto Ricans have voted overwhelmingly for statehood in a nonbinding referendum that was marred by low voter turnout.
Nearly half a million votes were cast for statehood, more than 7,600 for free association/independence and nearly 6,700 for independence, according to preliminary results. The participation rate was just 23 percent with roughly 2.26 million registered voters, prompting opponents to question the validity of a vote that several parties had boycotted, Fox News reported.

Suspect in Adams Morgan Hit-and-Run That Injured Officers Appears in Court
WASHINGTON- A man accused of striking two D.C. police officers and a city transportation worker in a hit-and-run crash in Adams Morgan Thursday night made his first appearance in court on Saturday.
The two Metropolitan Police bicycle officers and a D.C. Department of Transporation worker were on duty on 18th Street NW, an area popular for its dining and nightlife, when they were hit. The bicycle patrol officers were working to relieve a traffic jam when the pickup truck drove into them at a high rate of speed.
According to court documents released Saturday, witnesses saw a Metro bus come to a stop in the road, after a car in front of it stopped to let passengers out. Suddenly, a white Dodge pick-up truck sped around the stopped bus and struck all three victims before colliding with a sanitation truck several blocks away.
Brandon Figures-Mormon, 22, is charged with assault with intent to kill while armed, as well as aggravated assault. Police also arrested Figures-Morman’s passenger, 23-year-old Dwayne Nicholas Taylor. He was riding in the pick up truck that struck the three victims along very busy 18th Street NW. He faced a weapons charged, but the D.C. Attorney General’s office elected not to charge him after reviewing evidence in the case.
Figures-Morman is from Disputanta, Va. and Taylor is from Prince George, Va., both rural areas in a county outside of Richmond.
Investigators are still working to determine what led to the crash, but they have said a military-style weapon and a 100-round drum magazine were found in the back of the pick up truck. On Friday, Metropolitan Police Chief Peter Newsham said there was no information to suggest that this incident was terror-related.
Court documents indicate that Taylor told investigators that before the crash, both he and Figures-Mormon had smoked “dabs” — which are concentrated doses of cannibis that are made by extracting THC and other cannabinoids using a solvent like butane or carbon dioxide, resulting in sticky oils commonly referred to as “Wax,” “shatter,” “budder,” and butane hash oil, or “BHO.”
Taylor told investigators that while they were parked in the block before the crash, Figures-Morman started looking at his cell phone, as though he were reading text messages or something else. Then, Taylor claims, he put the truck in drive suddenly, and sped forward, hitting the three victims. Court documents say Taylor told police Figures-Morman drove directly at an officer standing in the block, and when he asked him what he was doing, Taylor says Figures-Morman just kept going.
Court documents say another witness interviewwd by law enforcement said that Figures-Morman and Taylor came to Chantilly, Va. on Wednesday, June 8 to take part in a local firearms expo. That witness said that he had placed the gun and ammunition in the white pick-up truck because he couldn’t have it in their hotel room, and that he forgot to get it out. The witness said Figures-Mormon was aware that the gun and ammunition were in the truck, and that he borrowed the truck to go to the store on Thursday evening, but that was the last that witness saw of the truck. Then, he saw reports on TV about the officers being injured, and recognized the truck.
Another witness who said he has known Figures-Morman for several years told investigators, according to court documents, that about a year and a half ago, Figures-Morman had “started making negative comments about police officers to the effect of ‘all police officers need to die.’“ That witness told investigators that in a Snapchat messge he received from Figures-Morman on Wednesday— the day before the hit-and-run crash— Figures-Morman also advocated killing police officers.

Dutch Councilman Calls Israeli High Schoolers ‘Murderers’
A Dutch Muslim city councilman blasted a group of Israeli high school students who were visiting the Dutch parliament, Yediot Ahronot reported.
Abdoe Khoulani launched into a tirade against the 28-member student delegation of 16 year old students from the Hen School for Young Ambassadors, calling them “future Zionist terrorists, occupiers and those who murder children.”
The students were visiting the Dutch parliament as guests of Kees van der Staaij, a Dutch parliamentarian from the SGP party.
Israeli Ambassador to the Netherlands, Aviv Shir-On, wrote a letter of to the Mayor of The Hague, Pauline Krikke, protesting Khoulani’s statements.
“The 16-year-old Israelis came to Holland in order to promote friendly relations between the countries, to meet with Dutch youth and conduct dialogue and form friendly relations.”
Shir-On wrote: “To call them murderers and claim they have Palestinian blood on their hands just because they are Israeli is not just a scandal, it is absolutely unacceptable. These words are nothing but anti-Israel incitement that can lead to violence that we have unfortunately seen in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Manchester and London.”…

Italy’s maverick 5-Star Movement looked set to suffer a severe setback in local elections on Sunday, failing to make the run-off vote in almost all the main cities up for grabs, early results and exit polls said.

New guidance issued by a police counter-terror unit has warned hospitals and GP surgeries that they may be targets for attacks.
The National Counter Terrorism Security Office released an updated ‘Crowded Places Guidance’ document, which tells medical professionals: “It is possible that your surgery, for example, could be the target of a terrorist incident. This might include having to deal with a bomb threat or suspicious items left in or around the area.

Germany: Syrian Asylum Seekers Arrested for Filming and Molesting Underage Girls
Four Syrian asylum seekers were arrested by police in the German town of Löbau after they filmed and molested underage girls at a swimming pool.
Police arrested the group of Syrian asylum seekers at the Herrenmannsbad outdoor swimming pool on Friday. Two of the men, aged 31 and 27, are said to have filmed several underage girls at the facility against their permission and then tried to sexually touch them in the swimming pool, MDR reports.

Identitarians Raise Over 65,000 Euros to Track NGOs in the Mediterranean
The hipster-right Identitarian youth movement has raised over 65,000 euros to track and disrupt pro-migrant NGOs who rescue migrants in the Mediterranean and bring them to Europe.
The project, named “Defend Europe”, is the brainchild of the Identitarian youth movement who started in France as Generation Identitaire and have expanded throughout Europe to Austria, Germany, Italy, and other countries during the migrant crisis.

Italy’s Open-Borders Policy Causes 52 More Migrant Deaths Off Libyan Coast
Italy’s reckless open-borders policy has cost the lives of another 52 African migrants, who died Saturday off the Libyan coast while trying to make the perilous crossing to Italy.
According to eyewitnesses, the shipwreck of a migrant vessel off the coast of Libya threw passengers into the sea, resulting in scores of deaths before rescuers could arrive. The overloaded barge, carrying between 120 and 130 passengers, went down about six miles from the city of Gasr Garabulli, to the east of Tripoli.

Number of Potential Migrants Worldwide Tops 700 Million
Viruses, violent conflicts and a host of other regional calamities helped revive peoples’ desire to migrate permanently to another country between the years 2013 and 2016 as the number of potential migrants climbed to 710 million, according to a Gallup poll.
Globally, 14% of the world’s adults wish to migrate, with the highest rates seen in sub-Saharan Africa (30%) and areas of Europe outside the European Union (21%), followed by Latin America and the Caribbean (18%), the Middle East and North Africa (19%), the European Union (20%), Commonwealth of Independent States (15%), Australia, New Zealand, Oceania (9%) and North America (10%).
The lowest rates were found in Asia, starting with South Asia (8%), East Asia (8%) and Southeast Asia (7%).
Regions that saw the largest increase were areas of Europe outside the EU, which rose by 6 percentage points, the Caribbean and Latin America, which climbed 5 percentage points, and the Middle East and North Africa.
While still not back to the 16% Gallup measured between 2007 and 2009, the desire to migrate has risen in several regions thanks to the slowing post-crisis economic recovery.

The Milan March for Open Borders

Milan, which is Italy’s financial and economic hub, is now very much like any other major global city: blandly cosmopolitan, deracinated and geared towards nouveau riche tourists. In the December 2016 referendum the affluent Lombard capital was one of the very few places in which a majority voted in favour of the centre-left government’s constitutional reform proposals. Like London and indeed many other cities, Milan seems disconnected from the rest of the country and losing its indigenous character and charm.
It was thus fitting that on May 20 thousands of snobby liberals, carpetbaggers, hypocrites and their third world foot soldiers marched in downtown Milan to demand rights for migrants, social inclusion and a world without walls. A list of the individuals and organisations taking part or backing the event is a veritable rogues’ gallery of Italy’s globalist pro-mass immigration establishment.
Caught between his party’s blue collar voters and its liberal metropolitan wing, Sala initially could not decide whether to attend the march as a private individual or in an official capacity as mayor of Milan. In the end he donned his tricolour sash and showed up as mayor. After all, without cheap migrant labour who else is going to mind the kids of his well-off liberal metro voters and clean their apartments for a pittance? Heaven forbid, with strict immigration controls they would have to pay a couple more Euros more an hour to get an Italian to do it. Interestingly, Partito Democratico leader and former Premier Renzi was apparently in Milan but did not attend the march…

According to some sources, Mrs May had been pressured by the E.Us Juncker into calling a snap election so as to derail Brexit. Mrs May is on record as a Remainer who did a quick about face after that plebiscite. Now this latest expose of her true intentions and underhandedness toward the British people is finally out there for all to see and become very angry about.
I hope you’re right about the people getting the message, but as I’ve said since the vote, May–Brexit? I’ll believe it when and if I see it happen.
Apparently Farage has given the ‘government’ two years in which to fulfill the people’s promise of Brexit otherwise he is back into it boots an’ all.
