The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the New Year’s Eve terrorist attack on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul that killed 39 people. As of this writing, the gunman is still at large, and an intensive manhunt is underway.
In other news, 650 cars were burned in France on New Year’s Eve. The Interior Ministry considers this number to be within acceptable limits, saying that the night “went off without any major incident.”

Basic Income Arrives: Finland to Hand Out Guaranteed Income of €560 to Lucky Citizens
Just over a year ago, we reported that in what was set to be a pilot experiment in “universal basic income”, Finland would become the first nation to hand out “helicopter money” in the form of cash directly to a select group of citizens.
As of January 1, 2017, the experiment in “basic income” has officially begun, with Finland becoming the first country in Europe to pay its unemployed citizens the guaranteed monthly sum of 560 euros ($587), in a “unique social experiment which is hoped to cut government red tape, reduce poverty and boost employment.” According to Olli Kangas from the Finnish government agency KELA, which is responsible for the country’s social benefits, the two-year trial with the 2,000 randomly picked citizens who starting on the first day of the year, will receive a guaranteed income, with funds that will keep flowing whether participants work or not.

Baggage Handler Locked in With Luggage on Flight From North Carolina to Dulles
A baggage handler spent a flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to northern Virginia locked inside the plane’s cargo hold Sunday afternoon.
At some point during United Express Flight 6060, authorities learned a man was locked in the baggage compartment, so Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Fire and Rescue crews met the small jet when it arrived at Dulles International Airport at 4:16 p.m. after an hour-and-22-minute flight.
“It’s going to be an apparent baggage handler that got locked in the baggage compartment,” the dispatch call said. “It’s going to be in the rear cargo area. Should have been pressurized. Unknown injuries at this time.”
When he arrived, the man appeared to be OK and refused medical treatment…

D.C. Hotel Guest Falls 10 Floors to His Death in Boiler Shaft
WASHINGTON — Police and fire officials say a guest at a Washington hotel died after falling into a boiler shaft on the roof and plunging 10 floors to the basement.
D.C. police spokesman Rachel Schaerr tells The Washington Post 23-year-old John Leonard of Herndon, Virginia, fell around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the 9-story Dupont Circle Hotel. Authorities say he had gone to the roof with someone else, possibly his girlfriend.

DHS Takes Child From Mother Gives Custody to Alleged Sex Abuser

What would you think about a four-year-old child who, when you wanted to take them to a relative’s home, became so agitated in not wanting to go, and so visibly scared that they wet themselves? Would you think there was a real problem; perhaps a dangerous problem? Or, would your first inclination be that the child must have been coached? Unfortunately, for one child and her mother that is exactly the position Department of Human Services (DHS) employee Cori McGovern has taken by asserting the mother introduced the ideas into her own child. By taking this position, DHS has taken the child from her mother and placed her with the girl’s father, the exact person the girl so vehemently acted out against being around. It begs the question, how is it that some abused children get lost in the system that is supposed to protect them and wind up being more damaged? One thing is certain, that is exactly what has happened in this nightmare of a case.
According to records, In the Spring of 2015, Christi MacLaren was initially told by her daughter (then four-years-old) that Sean Lenzo (biological father) had rubbed, “magic cream” on her vagina in a really fast motion until bleeding occurred. Next, the young girl claimed Lenzo took a picture of her vagina while it was bleeding, eventually showing her the photo as he laughed. In shock, Christi immediately contacted several professionals that very day. Her main concern was her daughter’s safety and seeking help. Unfortunately, there was no help for Christi and her daughter, only horrific damage according to mulitple witnesses.
“Cori McGovern (DHS) has previously been successfully sued for placing a young girl in the hands of child molesters” — Witness Lenzo isn’t the only one with a dark history. The caseworker herself, Cori McGovern, has previously been sued and found liable for placing a young girl in the hands of child molesters, resulting in the young child be raped, repeatedly. According to one Attorney who represented one of McGovern’s victims, “DHS settled his client’s case for a large sum of money.” Instead of being fired for placing the child with rapists, and previous actions, DHS simply transferred McGovern to another office in a nearby town. Today, McGovern is doing the exact same thing to another young girl, Christi’s daughter.

Gingrich Warns Biggest Risk for Trump Admin is They “Lose Their Nerve”
Former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, once considered a front runner for a senior position in the Trump administration, continues to take jabs at the President-elect. After being forced to apologize a few weeks back for saying that Trump no longer wishes to “Drain The Swamp” in Washington D.C., Gingrich is back with new controversial comments suggesting, yet again, that the Trump administration may ultimately cave to the demands of the far left. Per ABC News:
Less than three weeks before the presidential inauguration, leading Trump ally Newt Gingrich said his biggest worry about the incoming administration is that they will “lose their nerve.”
“Look, they’re going to arrive in Washington, and for them to be successful they have to stake out positions that [Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile] will not like and the left will hate,” Gingrich, a former speaker of the House, said in a joint interview with Brazile and ABC News Chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl. “I’m worried that when they realize how big the problem is, that they decide that they’re just going to do the best they can and give in.”
“My deepest concern is that they’re going to arrive, you’re going to have the greens going crazy” over the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior, Gingrich said. “You’re going to have the government employees going crazy about civil service reform. You’re going to have the teachers union going crazy over school choice. And these are pretty nonnegotiable. I mean, if you’re serious about school choice, there is no agreement with the teachers union.”

How George Soros Destroyed the Democratic Party
Soros hasn’t had a great track record at buying presidential elections. The official $25 million he poured into this one bought him his worst defeat since 2004. But his money did transform the Democrat Party.
And killed it.
Next year the Democracy Alliance was born. A muddy river of cash from Soros and his pals flowed into the organizations of the left. Soros had helped turn Howard Dean, a Vermont politician once as obscure as this cycle’s radical Vermont Socialist, into a contender and a national figure. Dean didn’t get the nomination, but he did get to remake the DNC. Podesta’s Center for American Progress swung the Democrats even further to the left. And it would be Podesta who helped bring Hillary down.
The Democrats became a radical left-wing organization and unviable as a national political party. The Party of Jefferson had become the Party of Soros. And only one of those was up on Mount Rushmore.
Obama’s wins concealed the scale and scope of the disaster. Then the party woke up after Obama to realize that it had lost its old bases in the South and the Rust Belt. The left had hollowed it out and transformed it into a party of coastal urban elites, angry college crybullies and minority coalitions.
Republicans control twice as many state legislative chambers as the Democrats. They boast 25 trifectas , controlling both legislative chambers and the governor’s mansion. Trifectas had gone from being something that wasn’t seen much outside of a few hard red states like Texas to covering much of the South, the Midwest and the West.
The Democrats have a solid lock on the West Coast and a narrow corridor of the Northeast, and little else. The vast majority of the country’s legislatures are in Republican hands. The Democrat Governor’s Association has a membership in the teens. In former strongholds like Arkansas, Dems are going extinct. The party has gone from holding national legislative majorities to becoming a marginal movement.
And the Democrats don’t intend to change course. The way is being cleared for Keith Ellison, the co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus with an ugly racist past, to head the DNC. Pelosi will oversee the disaster in the House. And Obama will remain the party’s highest profile national figure.
There could hardly be a clearer signal that the left intends to retain its donkey herding rights. Soros and his ilk have paid for the reins. That is why Pelosi, with her access to donors, will retain her position.
The left had recreated the Democrat Party and marginalized it. Much of this disaster had been funded with Soros money. Like many a theatrical villain, the old monster had been undone by his own hubris. Had Soros aided the Democrats without trying to control them, he would have gained a seat at the table in a national party. Instead he spent a fortune destroying the very thing he was trying to control.

Obama’s Pro-Terrorist International Policy
Since his election in 2008, President Obama has consistently pursued policies that have aided the state sponsors of radical Islamic terrorism around the world and have isolated the staunch U.S. ally and only democracy in the region, Israel. He has released hundreds of billions of dollars and given direct financial aid to the foremost state sponsor of radical Islamic terrorism in the world, Iran. He did so via a direct deal, without Senate approval, in derogation of the Treaty Clause, Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution. His deal with Iran has enabled that radical Islamic state to acquire nuclear weapons and through the release of over $100 billion has facilitated that nation’s quest to expand hegemony over the entire Middle East. He has toppled the brutal Libyan regime of Qaddafi only to usher in the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization. He failed to authorize use of military force to defend the American embassy compound in Benghazi from a radical Islamic terrorist attack that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
He failed to take any action sufficient to prevent Russia, Iran, and Assad’s Syria from obliterating all opposition to the brutal regime in power and failed to do anything to stem a refugee crisis that has carried in its ranks radical Islamists intent on mayhem throughout Europe. He supported the overthrow of Mubarak regime in Egypt, only to give rise to Muslim Brotherhood control of that country and disavowal of support for the United States. And now, in the crowning achievement of his movement to destabilize the Middle East and advance the interests of those dedicated to the destruction of the United States and Israel, he withdrew American objection to UN Resolution 2334 that defines Israeli occupied territories in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem as illegally held.
Through his actions, Obama has advanced the cause of international terrorism, diminished the power of America’s foremost ally in the Middle East, Israel, has precipitated war, and has laid the seeds for new armed conflict in the region. Most importantly, he has fostered instability while enormously contributing to the financing, arming, and deployment of radical Islamic terrorists around the world. He has placed the lives of Americans at home and abroad at risk.

20,000 Dead Sea Creatures Wash Up on Nova Scotia Shore
The carcasses of thousands of sea creatures have mysteriously washed up on the western coast of Nova Scotia.
As many as 20,000 fish, lobsters, starfish, scallops, crabs and other animals have turned up dead at Savory Park, Canadian authorities said. And they have no idea why.

Cannabis Medicine Will Soon be Legally Available in UK
One of the main ingredients in cannabis, cannabidiol (CBD), is to be classed as a medicine in the UK. The decision by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) stems from claims that the drug successfully treats serious diseases.
The new classification means products containing CBD can now be legally distributed across the UK. Gerald Heddel from MHRA told Sky News that the change came about “based on the fact that we noted that people were making some quite stark claims about serious diseases that could be treated with CBD.”

Experts Chilling Theory Behind Sex Attacks
SEX ATTACKERS who openly assaulted scores of women in Germany wanted to give Europeans the message they “cannot protect” women, it has been claimed.

The Interior Ministry has revealed just how busy France’s emergency services were on New Year’s Eve.
New Year’s Eve “went off without any major incident” but “saw some troubles with public order”, the Interior Ministry has said in a statement.
Police arrested 454 people over the night, 301 of whom were taken into custody.
Meanwhile, in something of a tradition for the French, vandals torched a whopping 650 parked cars.

Last week we were surprised to learn that demand for hotel rooms at the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, where the world’s billionaires, CEOs, politicians, celebrities and oligarchs mingle every year (while regaled by their public relations teams known as the “media”, for whom getting an invite to the DJ event du jour is more important than rocking the boat by asking unpleasant questions) was so great, not only are hotel rooms running out, but local employees may be put up in shipping containers in car parks to free up much needed accommodations.
This scramble to attend what has traditionally been perceived as the hangout for those who have benefited the most from “peak globalization” was in some ways surprising: coming after a year in which “populism” emerged as a dominant global force, while sending establishment politics, legacy policies and even globalization reeling, the message — in terms of lessons learned from 2016 — sent to the masses from the world’s 0.1% was hardly enlightened.

Britain will become a “beacon of global free trade” and create nearly 400,000 new jobs if it quits the customs union as part of the Brexit negotiations, it has been suggested.

As the Obama administration shunned Israel last week, we warned that police were calling on Israeli Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to allow them to open a full criminal investigation against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Today, as Channel 2 reports, Israeli police entered Bibi’s home for questioning. The prime minister was quick to react, blasting “don’t celebrate too soon over corruption probe.”

A terrorist reportedly shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ before shooting dead 39 people in an Instanbul nightclub packed with New Year’s Eve partygoers.

Kuwait: Minor Daughter Impregnated by Her Father — Authorities in Dilemma Over Baby Born
An unidentified minor girl reportedly gave birth to a baby at a hospital about a month ago, reports Al-Rai daily. Without going into any details, the daily said the girl was impregnated by her father and the medical staff said the ‘victim’ tried to end her life or kill the baby because these are the two options in front of her, according to sources.
The medical staff at the hospital has until now succeeded in preventing the girl from taking any drastic action. She has been put under special care and psychologists are working to get her out of the dilemma.
Senior government officials including Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi and Justice Minister Faleh al-Azab are making special efforts not to punish the girl to protect her from psychological and social point of view…

Ron Paul: Good News: Washington Frozen Out of Syria Peace Plan
As the US mainstream media obsessed last week about Russia’s supposed “hacking” of the US elections and President Obama’s final round of Russia sanctions in response, something very important was taking place under the media radar. As a result of a meeting between foreign ministers of Russia, Iran, and Turkey last month, a ceasefire in Syria has been worked out and is being implemented. So far it appears to be holding, and after nearly six years of horrible warfare the people of Syria are finally facing the possibility of rebuilding their lives.
What is so important about this particular ceasefire? It was planned, agreed to, and implemented without the participation of the United States Government.
In fact it was frustration with Washington’s refusal to separate its “moderates” from terrorist groups and its continued insistence on regime change for the Syrian government that led the three countries to pursue a solution on their own for Syria. They also included the Syrian government and much of the opposition in the agreement, which the US government has been unwilling to do.
We have been told all along by the neocons and “humanitarian interventionists” that the United States must take a central role in every world crisis or nothing will ever be solved. We are the “indispensable nation,” they say, and without our involvement the world will collapse. Our credibility is on the line, they claim, and if we don’t step up no one will. All this is untrue, as we have seen last week.

In “Mysterious” Bond Sale, Venezuela Issues $5 Billion in Debt to Itself With China as Underwriter
While Venezuela CDS suggest the country’s default odds remain well over 90%, and its currency on the black market continues to plunge into the abyss of hyperinflation, something odd happened today: Venezuela’s government issued $5 billion in dollar debt for the first time in more than five years, selling bonds in an opaque transaction to the state bank Banco de Venezuela SA and the central bank, Reuters and Bloomberg report. What makes this “unorthodox operation” particularly strange, is that the government is effectively selling debt, and raising dollar funds from itself — it owns both the Banco de Venezuela and the central bank; it is also strange in that the transaction, according to Reuters, does not immediately bring in new funds for the cash-strapped OPEC nation.
State-run Banco de Venezuela bought the dollar-denominated notes issued on December 29, which had a 6.5% coupon and mature in 2036, in local currency at a heavily subsidized exchange rate of 10 bolivars per dollar, according to a Reuters source, meaning there was no net increase in hard currency for state coffers. The country’s exchange control system sells dollars at 10 bolivars for preferential goods such as food and medicine and for 672 bolivars for other items. Dollars on the black market currently fetch close to 3,200 bolivars.

423,896 “Threats to National Security”
The seriousness of the Third World invasion of America has been revealed in the latest Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statistics which show that 423,896 “Priority 1” illegal invaders were deported in 2016-individuals classed as “threats to national security, border security, and public safety,” and “the most serious categories of convicted criminals as well as gang members.” In total, enforcement actions were started against 805,071 inadmissible or deportable aliens.

Asylum Seekers Scam German Aid Program for Millions by Applying With ‘Up to 12’ Fake IDs
A special commission in the northern German city of Braunschweig will investigate over 300 cases of fraud committed by asylum applicants, who gamed the welfare system by using multiple IDs to claim benefits — and that may just be the tip of the iceberg.
The estimated total loss of taxpayer money in the state of Lower Saxony alone has been put at three to five million euros ($3.2-5.3 million), Regional German broadcaster NDR reported.

A CROWD of more than 1,000 men shot fireworks at riot police and women were attacked by migrants as New Year’s Eve celebrations spiralled out of control across Germany, despite heightened security due to terror fears.

PRISONS across Germany are struggling to combat the rise of “dirty protests” by migrants who have set ‘traps’ for the guards — smearing their cells with blood and faeces.

New Year’s Eve Sex Attacks in Germany
At least 129 nonwhites posing as refugees were arrested across Germany over New Year’s Eve as a massive German police presence struggled to contain thousands of invaders who converged on the streets of Cologne, Frankfurt, Essen, Dortmund, Hamburg, Hannover, and Düsseldorf. A massive police action prevented further attacks as mobs as big as 4,000 (in Cologne) and 1,900 (in Frankfurt) swarmed into the city centers.

The Islamization of Germany in 2016: “We Are No Longer Safe”

Mass migration from the Muslim world is fast-tracking the Islamization of Germany, as evidenced by the proliferation of no-go zones, Sharia courts, polygamy and child marriages. Mass migration has also been responsible for a host of social disruptions, including jihadist attacks, a migrant rape epidemic, a public health crisis, rising crime and a rush by German citizens to purchase weapons for self-defense — and even to abandon Germany altogether.
Development Minister Gerd Müller warned that the biggest refugee movements to Europe are still to come. He said that only 10% of the migrants from the chaos in Iraq and Syria have reached Europe so far: “Eight to ten million migrants are still on the way.”

The Turkish government has sent 970 clerics — most of whom do not speak German — to lead 900 mosques in Germany that are controlled by the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB), a branch of the Turkish government’s Directorate for Religious Affairs, known in Turkish as Diyanet. Critics accuse Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of using DITIB mosques to prevent Turkish migrants from integrating into German society.
A Cologne police superintendent revealed that he was ordered to remove the term “rape” from an internal police report about the mass sexual assaults in Cologne on New Year’s Eve. He said that an official at the North-Rhine Westphalia Interior Ministry told him in an angry tone: “This is not rape. Remove this term from your report. Submit a new report.”
The German branch of Open Doors, a non-governmental organization supporting persecuted Christians, reported that thousands of Christians in German refugee shelters are being persecuted by Muslims, sometimes even by their security guards.
A 23-year-old Iraqi asylum seeker wearing a T-shirt with the words “I’m Muslim Don’t Panic” was assaulted by fellow refugees for offending Islam. He was beaten so badly that he was hospitalized.
Half of the three million ethnic Turks living in Germany believe it is more important to follow Islamic Sharia law than German law if the two are in conflict, according to a survey.
A document leaked to Der Spiegel revealed that more than 33,000 migrants who are supposed to be deported are still in Germany, being cared for by German taxpayers. Many of the migrants destroyed their passports and are believed to have lied about their countries of origin to make it impossible for them to be deported.
Migrants committed 142,500 crimes during the first six months of 2016, according to a report by the Federal Criminal Police Office. This is equivalent to 780 crimes committed by migrants every day, or 32.5 crimes each hour, an increase of nearly 40% over 2015. The data includes only those crimes in which a migrant suspect has been caught.
Bild, the largest-circulation newspaper in Germany, warned that the country was “capitulating to Islamic law.”
Germany’s Muslim population surpassed six million in 2016 for the first time ever. Germany now vies with France for the highest Muslim population in Western Europe.
The increase in Germany’s Muslim population is being fueled by mass migration. An estimated 300,000 migrants arrived in Germany in 2016, in addition to the more than one million who arrived in 2015. At least 80% (or 800,000 in 2015 and 240,000 in 2016) of the newcomers were Muslim, according to the Central Council of Muslims in Germany.
In addition to the newcomers, the rate of population increase of the Muslim community already living in Germany is around 1.6% per year (or 77,000), according to data extrapolated from a Pew Research Center study on the growth of the Muslim population in Europe.
Based on Pew projections, which were proffered before the current migration crisis, the Muslim population of Germany was to have reached an estimated 5,145,000 by the end of 2015…

Srdja Trifkovic: First of all, we have to remember that, only two days ago, the Polish truck driver who was killed in Berlin three hours before the rampage which killed 15 and injured dozens [was laid to rest] — this has really focused the attention of the Poles on what is widely perceived as the Muslim migrant threat to Europe. President of Poland Andrzej Duda attended the funeral, and it was very high profile occasion. This context provides the wider framework for the anti-migrant and anti-Muslim mood in Poland.
Secondly, in general, it’s the former Soviet bloc countries — the so-called Visegrad Four, which also includes the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary — which have offered stiff resistance to the attempts by the EU to impose migrant quotas on individual member countries, regardless of their Parliaments’ will or of their public opinion. So, it is really in this context that this should be seen as an expression of nativist anger and resistance to what is seen in Central and Eastern Europe as Western Europe’s failed policy of excessive welcoming of the migrants, and unsuccessful attempt to absorb them into the society.
RT: International affairs expert Michael Operskalski said that “there is spectrum within the Polish society that comes from the extreme right and extreme church forces who try to exploit the immigrant question, which is not the question for Poland at the moment.” Do you agree with him?…

We need passable roads, police and fire service. Our roads are a complete mess, we very rarely see a police car but I do have to say our fire service is good. We pay for our library as a separate item and get to vote on it every year, it is first class.
But who uses the library other than far eastern Asians and caucasians? To say that I have never seen any other demographic group in the library en mass would be accurate, even when I lived in SoCal.
