Gates of Vienna News Feed 12/4/2016

Italian voters rejected the government’s proposed constitutional changes in today’s referendum, forcing the resignation of Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and leaving the way open for Beppe Grillo and the Five Star Movement to form a possible government, depending on the shifting sands of coalitions.

Meanwhile, Norbert Hofer, the presidential candidate for the FPÖ in Austria, went down to defeat, with the Green candidate Alexander Van der Bellen gaining a resounding victory in today’s election.

In other news, the Spanish coast guard rescued 92 migrants yesterday in five different boats and brought them safely to Spain.

President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday that he’ll slap a 35 percent tax on U.S. companies that move jobs or operations to other countries — days after announcing a controversial deal with Carrier to keep roughly 1,100 manufacturing jobs in the United States.

Trump, a prolific tweeter with about 15 million followers, needed six posts, each limited to 140 characters, to get out his message.

D.C. Police Detain Suspect With an Assault Rifle at Comet Ping Pong Restaurant

D.C. Police responding Sunday to a report of a gunman at a popular pizza restaurant in Northwest Washington detained a man armed with an assault rifle, according to a police spokeswoman .

Police Chief Peter Newsham said a lone suspect in his late-20s walked into the front door of Comet Ping Pong with an assault rifle. Newsham said it appeared as if the suspect may have fired one or multiple shots into the ground after the employees and patrons had left. The man, who police say was from Salisbury, North Carolina, has not yet been identified and his motives were not clear.

“We do have employees and guests of the restaurant who, of course, were extremely frightened by this incident,” Newsham said. “At this point we do not believe that it was terrorist related. And it’s unclear right now what the motive is.”

But Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant on Connecticut Avenue with ping-pong tables that is popular with families, has been caught up in a wave of conspiracy theories and fake-news stories that spread during the presidential campaign that have prompted death threats to the restaurant and nearby businesses.

“We’re aware of that and right now we have nothing to tie it into those concerns that have been raised on social media,” Newsham said.

Startled patrons rushed out of the restaurant onto Connecticut Avenue, taking shelter in nearby businesses and remaining locked down for more than an hour…

Fake News Sites Continue False Claim About the Iran Nuke Deal

The media are obviously aware that this is not a signed deal, yet they keep calling it one as if that is an insignificant detail.

The mainstream media and President Obama have made a considerable issue out of the dissemination of fake news leading up to the election, even going so far as to hint that Donald Trump’s victory might have been owed in part to the work of the fakers. On cue, The Washington Post recently published a story citing anonymous sources that claimed the fake news was the product of Russian propaganda. Yet Fortune magazine concluded that the Post’s “analysis was fairly weak,” and “Much of [the evidence] seems flimsy at best.” That didn’t stop the Post from blaming Russian propaganda, based on biased evidence and anonymous sources.

As AIM’s Cliff Kincaid recently explained, Facebook and Google are looking to create an algorithm that eliminates fake news on their websites. To do so is to risk disproportionate discrimination against information from outside the mainstream, including conservative and left-wing blogs, points out The Hill. “Critics also charge that the ‘fake news’ trope obscures the fact that the mainstream media have their own problem with false or misleading stories,” writes Cathy Young in The Hill. Kincaid also cites something called the First Draft Coalition, a sort of Ministry of Truth comprised of media organizations that we are supposed to trust to produce content free of fake news.

In fact, many of these so-called reputable news organizations are responsible for what is perhaps the fake news story of the decade. The story involves one of President Obama’s major foreign policy legacies, the Iran nuclear “deal.”

For about a year now, we have been pointing out that the Iranian nuclear deal between the P5+1 and Iran, is in fact, not a deal at all. There is an English language version, which the American public has seen (except for the side deals that were kept hidden from Congress and the American public). Also, there is an Iranian version passed in their Majlis, or parliament, which is considerably different…

The media are obviously aware that this is not a signed deal, yet they keep calling it one as if that is an insignificant detail. Why? I believe it’s because they see their role as trying to help President Obama secure his legacy as the Nobel Peace Prize winner who was able to finally tame the Iranian theocracy, and save the world from nuclear destruction. But propping up a sham deal is more likely to have the opposite effect, long after Obama is gone from the White House.

Huuuge Nevada Voter Fraud Uncovered? Worse Than ACORN

Today, Megan Barth interviewed Republican Assembly Candidate for District 15, Stan Vaughan, with actual proof of massive voter fraud in his Clark County district. Vaughan brought into the NEWSMAXTV Las Vegas studio and laid it out for all to see, US postal service certified returned mail from 9,200 voters in District 15. Many of the people who were listed as deceased are still on the active voter rolls today. Many of the returned mail came back with 5 people living in a vacant lot with no mail receptacle.

Edward Snowden, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and dozens of movie stars were registered to vote in District 15 according to Mr. Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan tested a sample of 200 people of the 9,200 return mail and found that 185 of those had indeed voted.

Mr. Vaughan and many others have testified that they went to the polls to vote only to be told they had voted already. They were given a provisional ballots which would only be counted if the total vote count was within 1% according to poll supervisors.

According to Mr. Vaughan, there were other serious voting system irregularities he documented, including early voting numbers flipping day to day. A total number of 17,086 votes were cast in District 15 for both Republican and Democrat candidates. 9,200 voters on the voter rolls who, by law, should not be on the voter rolls is a huuge discrepancy. Vaughan reported the certified returned mail issue to Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske, who according to Vaughan, sent the issue back to Clark County to investigate itself.

President Donald Trump lost by only 27,000 votes statewide in Nevada. So 9,200 fraudulent voters in one small Assembly district equals 1/3 almost of the total margin. 9,200 votes was the margin by which Question 1 passed.

In Tweetstorm, Trump Threatens “Retribution” For Companies That Leave the US

President-elect Donald Trump fired off Sunday morning with a Tweetstorm (after again complaining about the “totally biased, not funny” Saturday Night Live), and in a series of six tweets threatened heavy taxes as “retribution” for U.S. companies that move their business operations overseas, fire US workers and still try to sell their product to Americans. Trump vowed he would slap a 35% tax on products sold inside the U.S. by any business that fired American workers and built a new factory or plant in another country.

The president-elect tweeted that his administration will “substantially reduce taxes and regulations on businesses. But any business that leaves our country for another country,” he added, “fires its employees, builds a new factory or plant in the other country, and then thinks it will sell its product back into the U.S. …without retribution or consequence, is WRONG!”

Trump said there will be a 35 percent tax on the country’s “soon to be strong border” for companies that leave and then want to sell their products back to U.S. consumers. “This tax will make leaving financially difficult, but…these companies are able to move between all 50 states, with no tax or tariff being charged,” the president-elect tweeted.

Stop Obsessing Over the Meaningless Popular Vote!

I am quite fascinated with the obsession the Left currently has with the popular vote for President. As usual this is a matter of expediency, desperation to get their own way given the results of the election, and the usual public deception for how our system actually works. There certainly isn’t a shred of principle involved. So let’s investigate this a bit.

We are a Republic, thank God, not a Democracy, so the popular vote is irrelevant to presidential elections. It simply doesn’t matter, it is meaningless, so talking about it is just an obsession with nothing. We elect by Electoral College, a brilliant system that involves the whole country in the election, and not just a few big, urban cities full of government dependent Democrats. The system is designed to make the best decision for President, and in this case it worked perfectly.

Just for fun, let’s look at the popular vote in detail. Here is the key. *** NO CANDIDATE WON THE POPULAR VOTE!!!” To win the popular vote you have to get over 50%, that is what a majority is. What Hillary Clinton won was a PLURALITY. She got 48.2% of the vote. Donald Trump got 46.5 % of the vote. Not a big difference. Now here is where it gets interesting. Bill Clinton in 1992 only got 42.9% of the popular vote… Which means, Donald Trump won more of the popular vote than Bill Clinton, and no one on the Left said a word about Bill Clinton not being a legitimate President. Bill Clinton won a plurality, just like many presidents before him. It happens all the time. There is nothing unusual about this election. Hillary won a plurality, nothing more, but lost the election. That’s the way it is.

Trump Vows 35% Tax for US Firms That Move Jobs Overseas

US President-elect Donald Trump says he will impose punitive taxes on US firms that move manufacturing overseas.

Firms should be “forewarned prior to making a very expensive mistake”, he said.

Mr Trump has promised to help blue-collar workers, as well as reduce taxes and regulations on businesses.

Trump Expands Secretary of State Search; More Interviews This Week

President-elect Donald Trump has widened his search for secretary of state beyond his short-list of Mitt Romney and three others, senior transition team adviser Kellyanne Conway said Sunday.

“It is true that [Trump] has broadened the search,” she told reporters at Trump Tower in New York City. “He continues to talk to different people. I think you’ve all seen the list before that already existed. I think there’ll be additional interviews with other candidates.”

The transition team on Thursday officially confirmed Trump had narrowed the list to four. Then sources told Fox News the names were Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee; former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani; Tennessee GOP Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and retired Gen. David Petraeus, also a former CIA director.

However, other names have surfaced, including John Bolton, a former U.S ambassador to the United Nations; Rex Tillerson, Exxon’s chief executive officer; and most recently John Huntsman, a former U.S. ambassador to China and Utah GOP governor whose daughter Abby is a Fox News general assignment reporter.

While You Were Distracted by the US Election, The Senate Outlawed GMO Labeling Nationwide

GMOs have been shown to cause gastrointestinal problems, increase cancer risk, and even silence human genes

While attention was diverted to the US election for much of this year, the Senate quietly made null and void state laws that require that GMO foods be labeled.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are a concern for a number of reasons. When consumed, GMOs have been shown to cause gastrointestinal problems, increase cancer risk, and even silence human genes, not to mention their harmful effects on the environment and endangered species such as bees. Within the US, there is also a dearth of safety testing as most tests that show that GMOs are “safe” are short-term studies, lasting only a matter of months. Longer-term studies, even those conducted for just a few months longer than industry-funded studies, have found that the consumption of GMOs causes serious problems, such as an increase in tumor risk. For those US consumers who are rightly concerned about the presence of GMOs in their food, mandatory GMO labeling is one solution that gives consumers the right to know what is in their food while not affecting the GMO food purchases of those who support biotechnology. A handful of US states have successfully passed GMO labeling laws such as Connecticut, Maine, and Vermont. Similar initiatives in other states, like California, only failed due to the massive amounts of money funneled to the opposition by Industrial Agriculture and Food companies as well as the corporations who create GMO seeds and associated agrochemicals, such as Monsanto.

Not to be stopped by Congressional interference, the agriculture and food corporations soon sought other means to undermine state labeling laws once and for all. While most Americans were distracted by the constant upheavals during the most recent US election as well as geopolitical events such as Brexit, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry quietly “struck a deal” known as the “bipartisan agriculture biotechnology compromise solution.” Beyond its newspeak title, the text of the legislation makes it clear that this “compromise” effectively bans all GMO labeling laws passed by states. However, it goes even farther. This bill declares that no foods shall be labeled as containing GMOs for two years.

[Comment: Google the research — it is not as “safe” as mainstream media and coporations pretend. Consumers should begin reducing the amount of money spent on processed foods until assured the processed food is GMO free. Ina sense, it is biological warfare on the public.]

FPÖ Concedes Defeat as Van Der Bellen Clear Winner

Austria’s Freedom Party conceded defeat Sunday in its bid to elect Europe’s first far-right president, as projections showed its candidate Norbert Hofer lagging behind in a bitterly fought election re-run.

Greens-backed independent Alexander Van der Bellen, 72, swept 53.6 percent of the votes, while his rival of the anti-immigration Freedom Party (FPOe) received 46.4 percent, projections showed.

The head of Austria’s far-right Freedom Party (FPOe) on Sunday ruled out launching a legal challenge against the defeat of the party’s candidate Norbert Hofer in the presidential election.

“This time clearly there are no complaints… Today we can be sure that citizens’ votes were properly handled,” Heinz-Christian Strache said on public television. In May the FPOe successfully challenged Hofer’s defeat and secured a re-run.

Germany Arrests Marxist Militant ‘Leader’

A radical Marxist suspected of belonging to a left-wing extremist group accused of terrorism by Turkey has been arrested in Germany, judicial sources said on Saturday.

The 55-year-old citizen of the Netherlands, whose name was given as Musa A., was arrested in Hamburg, Germany’s federal prosecutor said.

The man is thought to be a “leader” of the Revolutionary People’sLiberation Party /Front (DHKP-C) — a radical Marxist group outlawed by Ankara after allegedly staging several attacks and assassinations against police, the security services and US interests in Turkey.

The prosecutor said he was carrying out several roles in Europe, principally fundraising for the European arm of the DHKP-C.

German authorities believe that such fundraising could be used to finance terrorist activity and the acquisition of weapons.

Italy Referendum: PM Matteo Renzi Resigns After Clear Referendum Defeat

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has resigned after suffering a heavy defeat in a referendum over his plan to reform the constitution.

In a late-night news conference, he said he took responsibility for the outcome. He said the No camp must now make clear proposals.

An exit poll for state broadcaster RAI suggests 42-46% voted to back reform, compared with 54-58% voting No.

The first projections based on the official count point to a wider defeat.

Early indications have the Yes vote at 39-43% and the No at 57-61%.

“Good luck to us all,” Mr Renzi told reporters. He said he would tell a Cabinet meeting on Monday afternoon that he is resigning, and then tender his resignation to the Italian president after two-and-a-half years in office.

Mr Renzi said the reforms would have cut Italy’s bureaucracy and made the country more competitive.

UK: MPs Rebel Against £4billion Commons Revamp: Tory Ministers Urge Plans to be Scrapped Over Fears it Will Trigger a Backlash From the Public

Plans for MPs to move out of Parliament for six years as part of a £4 billion restoration could be scrapped, it emerged last night.

A group of Tory Ministers and senior MPs intend to vote against the proposal for fear it will trigger an ‘extravagant politicians’ backlash similar to the 2009 expenses scandal — and undermine Britain when it is leaving the EU.

They say Parliament should be kept open, with the building works carried out over decades to cut the short-term bill and maintain the UK’s image overseas. The plan for MPs and peers to decamp from the main Grade I listed Palace of Westminster in 2022 and move to temporary accommodation was expected to be rubber-stamped in a New Year vote.

Former Conservative Minister Shailesh Vara, who has studied the ‘decant’ plans, said: ‘We are sleepwalking to disaster over this. It seems to be regarded as a fait accompli yet a growing number of Ministers and MPs agree with me it would be a major political, public relations and financial error and totally unnecessary.

‘It would be much better to carry out these repairs bit by bit when we can afford it and put up with the inconvenience of scaffolding and builders around us, just like ordinary families who do up their homes.’

Villiers Talks About Fillon

The video clip above is part of an hour-long conversation from 2015 between Philippe de Villiers and the host of TV Libertés, Martial Bild. The topic here is the agenda of Brussels, and the Bilderberg Group to which François Fillon belongs.

Villiers: What I saw in Brussels, apparently is normal. There are three thousand policy managers, and thirty thousand lobbyists… Europe is an entity of the abyss, what it fears is light… It’s a gray zone, no one knows who is buying whom… In truth, the commissioners are future lobbyists and the lobbyists are future commissioners, so there’s a mixing of genres that leads to the illegal seizure of interests.

The EU for its part regards dissenters as conspirators, just as Hillary Clinton once spoke paranoiacally of a “vast right-wing conspiracy”. And Jean-Claude Juncker, president of the European Commission, regards dissenters as beings “from another planet.”

Congress Authorizes Trump to Arm Syrian Rebels With Anti-Aircraft Missiles

The House voted for the first time today to explicitly authorize the incoming Donald Trump administration to arm vetted Syrian rebels with anti-aircraft missiles.

While the language in the annual defense bill also creates restrictions on the provision of the controversial weapons, it represents a win for Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain, R-Ariz., a fervent advocate of helping the rebels resist President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian and Iranian allies. The Senate is expected to pass the bill next week.

Until now, the transfer of man-portable air-defense systems, or MANPADs, had been implicitly authorized in the absence of an outright ban. Critics, however, view the new provision as tantamount to a policy recommendation for the president-elect.

[Comment: If Trump is smart, he’ll tell these bankster run puppet politicians where to go. Trump should pull all CIA involvement and money from these “rebels”. Let Russia and Syria mop them up. Finally, make sure none “escape” to Europe.]

Erdogan Wants Trade With Russia, China in Local Currencies

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country was moving towards allowing trade with Russia, China and Iran to be conducted in local currencies, as he continues his efforts to strengthen the falling lira.

Erdogan — who previously said discussions were underway with Moscow, Beijing and Tehran on the issue — added that instructions related to this proposal had been given to the central bank.

Erdogan repeated a call for Turks to convert the euros, dollars and other foreign currency “under their pillows” into Turkish lira during a speech in the central city of Kayseri.

“Our Turkish lira is blessed,” he told a cheering, flag-waving crowd after opening a museum in the city named after his predecessor and long-time friend Abdullah Gul.

Ankara hopes such demands will help the lira win back the losses it has suffered over the past few months since a failed coup in July when a rogue military faction tried to oust Erdogan from power.

German Air Force Scouting Alternatives to Turkey Base

Military officials plan to travel to Amman on Saturday

(ANSA-AP) — BERLIN — Amid frosty relations with Ankara, Germany is considering moving military planes involved in the international mission against the Islamic State group from Turkey to Jordan, Kuwait or Cyprus.

The Defense Ministry says it’s scouting alternative locations to the Incirlik Air Base in Turkey at the request of Parliament.

German lawmakers have repeatedly been prevented from visiting the base after passing a resolution that labeled killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks a century ago as genocide.

German daily Bild, which first reported the move Friday, says military officials plan to travel to Amman on Saturday.

The German air force planes aren’t currently flying combat missions.

Online Activist Will Spend 10 Years in Jail for “Spreading False News”

A Kuwaiti online activist will spend 10 years in jail, an appeals court has ruled, for posting messages on Twitter that “insulted the emir” and “spreading false news” that endangered the country.

The court on Thursday confirmed the jail term against Waleed Fares handed down by a lower court in May, AFP reported.

Fares was arrested in September 2015 for comments under the name “Gibrit Seyassi” about Kuwait’s emir and ruler, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al Sabah, “offending the judiciary” and “accusing the attorney general and public prosecution of being biased”.

Fares said at his trial he had been beaten and threatened into a confession, according to a statement by the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI).

UN Report Warns Arab Countries Could Face Further Uprisings

A UN report has highlighted the challenges faced by youth in the Arab world. The report has forecasted that another Arab Spring could be on the horizon, due to high levels of joblessness and frustration.

The memo, titled “Arab Human Development Report 2016: Youth and the Prospects for Human Development in a Changing Reality,” claimed that unemployment and lack of opportunity has led to hopelessness among youth in the Arab region. It also highlighted how crisis in the Arab region has caused upheaval in the lives of young people.

“Youth unemployment is hugely costly to the region’s societies and requires a major turnaround in policy thinking about jobs. The region needs to create more than 60 million new jobs in the next decade,” stated the report.

Individuals under 30 make up over two-thirds of the population in Arab countries. This huge, well-educated and well-connected demographic could play a significant role in bringing economic growth to the Middle East.

Fake US Embassy in Ghana Shut Down After 10 Years Issuing Visas

Authorities in Ghana have busted a fake US embassy in the capital Accra run by a criminal network that for a decade issued illegally obtained authentic visas, the US State Department has said.

Until it was shut down, the sham embassy was housed in a rundown, pink two-storey building with a corrugated iron roof and flew an American flag outside. Inside hung a portrait of the US president, Barack Obama.

Turkish citizens who spoke English and Dutch posed as consular officers and staffed the operation. Investigations also uncovered a fake Dutch embassy, the State Department said.

The crime ring issued fraudulently obtained but legitimate US visas and false identification documents, including birth certificates at a cost of $6,000 (£4,700) each, the statement said.

During raids that led to a number of arrests, authorities also seized authentic and counterfeit Indian, South African and Schengen zone visas and 150 passports from 10 different countries along with a laptop and smartphones.

Fidel Castro and His MSM Sycophants

Forbes estimated Fidel Castro’s wealth at $900 million while the country he ruled with an iron fist, 11.39 million people, lived in poverty and dignified squalor under his boot. The deceased “El Comandante” Castro left behind a huge fortune, a private island called Caya Piedra, mansions, a marina with his private yacht called Aquarama, bank accounts, an alleged gold mine, and thousands of worthless Marxist speeches.

Celebrity guests who have enjoyed Castro’s lavish hospitality on the island of Caya Piedra included the Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the French underwater explorer, Jacques Cousteau. Nothing but the best for western elitist visitors, they were never taken to the slums where Cubans were forced to live, playing dominoes and making beautiful music to soothe their trapped bodies and souls.

Why God would keep such an evil man alive to the ripe old age of 90 is a mystery. The longer he lived, the more people he tortured and kept chained to his utopian idea of how God’s free people should live.

Castro enslaved and oppressed his people for 59 years while giving them speeches about the wonders of Marxism and the evils of capitalism. He tortured and killed an estimated 15,000 of his own citizens who dared to object to his proletariat hell.

Raul Castro: Cuba Will Ban Naming of Monuments After Fidel

Cuban President Raul Castro said Saturday that his government will prohibit the naming of streets or public monuments after his brother Fidel in keeping with the former leader’s desire to avoid the development of a personality cult.

The younger Castro told a crowd gathered to pay homage to Fidel Castro in the eastern city of Santiago that the country’s National Assembly would pass in its next session a law fulfilling his brother’s desire that, “once dead, his name and likeness would never be used on institutions, streets, parks or other public sites, and that busts statutes or other forms of tribute would never be erected.”

UN Apologizes for Haiti’s Cholera Epidemic Without Noting it Brought the Disease

United Nations Secretary Ban Ki-moon has ended—sort of — six years of UN stonewalling over Haiti’s mammoth cholera epidemic with a weak apology that the world organization “simply did not do enough” about the epidemic, without mentioning that UN peacekeepers brought the deadly disease to the hemisphere’s poorest country in the first place.

Ban’s statement Thursday to the UN General Assembly declared that “we are profoundly sorry for our role,” without going into the specifics of what that role actually was.

It was nonetheless touted by other UN officials as “an important day for the UN,” that also is supposed to mark the start of a new approach to the cholera catastrophe that would include “material assistance and support for those Haitians most directly affected by cholera”—as soon as U.N. member states come up with the money for it.

Venezuela to Introduce Bigger Bills Amid Soaring Inflation

Venezuela’s central bank has said it will issue higher-denominated currency notes mid-December. The South American country is facing an acute economic crisis as its inflation is expected to surpass four digits next year.

Venezuela will introduce six new bills ranging from 500 to 20,000 bolivars, the OPEC nation’s central bank said in a statement on Sunday.

Currently, the largest-denominated Venezuelan note is 100 bolivars (9.4 euros), which is worth just around two US cents on the black market. A two-liter soft drink bottle can cost 25 times that amount.

The socialist-run economy is on the verge of collapse as its currency has lost 67 percent of its value on the black market, falling to 4,587 bolivars per US dollar, according to Dollar Today, a tracking agency.

Inflation is already in triple digits — the world’s highest — and is likely to surpass four digits next year, according to the International Monetary Fund. The country’s ATMs are almost without cash and its credit card payment system froze up for several hours on Friday.

President Nicolas Maduro blamed the “mafias” in neighboring Colombia for the crisis, saying they are trying to carry out an “economic coup” against his country. He also said the country’s opposition has triggered the crisis with the help from Washington.

Mexico Helping Unvetted African Migrants to U.S. Border, Many From Al-Shabaab Terror Hotbed

Hundreds of African asylum seekers have flooded Mexican border cities with the U.S. in an effort to get to California and Texas to obtain U.S. asylum — many of the unvetted migrants are from the terror hotbed of Somalia. Rather than having to hide along the way, the African migrants have been getting a special permit from Mexico that gives them a free pass to the U.S. border.

The influx of asylum seekers from African countries who entered Mexico illegally has been building for several weeks as hundreds of individuals continue to arrive primarily to Mexicali to cross into Calexico, California, in order to seek asylum. Mexican immigration authorities have been spotted ferrying the asylum seekers from shelters and plazas to international bridges with the U.S.

Mexican immigration authorities have largely kept quiet about the wave of African migrants who have been entering Mexico through that country’s southern border and then making their way to the U.S. border to seek asylum. Some of the cities they seek include Calexico and San Ysidro, California, and El Paso, Texas.

According to Mexico’s El Universal African migrants have been entering Mexico and almost immediately turning themselves in to agents with the National Immigration Institute (INM).

Something Strange is Taking Place in the Mediterranean

For two months, using marinetraffic.com, we have been monitoring the movements of ships owned by a couple of NGOs, and, using data from data.unhcr.org. We have kept track of the daily arrivals of African immigrants in Italy. It turned out we were witness of a big scam and an illegal human traffic operation.

NGOs, smugglers, the mafia in cahoots with the European Union have shipped thousands of illegals into Europe under the pretext of rescuing people, assisted by the Italian coast guard which coordinated their activities.

Human traffickers contact the Italian coast guard in advance to receive support and to pick up their dubious cargo. NGO ships are directed to the “rescue spot” even as those to be rescued are still in Libya. The 15 ships that we observed are owned or leased by NGOs have regularly been seen to leave their Italian ports, head south, stop short of reaching the Libyan coast, pick up their human cargo, and take course back 260 miles to Italy even though the port of Zarzis in Tunis is just 60 mile away from the rescue spot.

The organizations in question are: MOAS, Jugend Rettet, Stichting Bootvluchting, Médecins Sans Frontières, Save the Children, Proactiva Open Arms, Sea-Watch.org, Sea-Eye and Life Boat.

The real intention of the people behind the NGOs is not clear. Their motive can be money, we would not be surprised if it turned out to be so. They may also be politically driven; the activities of the Malta-based organisation, MOAS, by trafficking people to Italy is the best guarantee that migrants will not show up on the Maltese shore. MOAS is managed by an Maltese Marine officer well known in Malta for his maltreatment of refugees 1). It is also possible that these organisations are managed by naive “do-gooders” who do not understand that offering their services they are acting like a magnet to the people from Africa and thus they are willy-nilly causing more fatalities, not to mention that their actions are destabilizing Europe.

How high-minded the intentions of these organisations might be, their actions are criminal as most of these migrants are not eligible for being granted asylum and will end up on the streets of Rome or Paris and undermine Europe stability raising racially motivated social tensions.

Brussels has created particular legislature to protect people traffickers against prosecution. In a dedicated section of an EU resolution entitled On Search and Rescue, the text states that “private ship masters and non-governmental organisations who assist in sea rescues in the Mediterranean Sea should not risk punishment for providing such assistance.”

During the two months of our observation, we have monitored at least 39,000 Africans illegally smuggled into Italy, which was done with the full consent of the Italian and European authorities.

Spain Rescues 92 Migrants Off Southern Coast

Spanish authorities said 92 migrants travelling in five makeshift boats were rescued off Spain’s coast on Saturday, as an increasing number of migrants seek to reach Europe via the country.

Among those rescued were 63 people from sub-Saharan Africa, officials saidwithout specifying their nationalities, and 29 Algerians.

Most of the migrants were taken to the port of Malaga in southern Spain, following a “complicated” rescue operation in rough seas around 49 nautical miles from the coast, a maritime rescue official told AFP.

Also on Saturday, Spanish authorities stopped 22 migrants hiding in a lorrywho were trying to enter Melilla, a Spanish enclave in north Africa which, along with another enclave called Ceuta, are the only land borders between Africa and the EU.

American Experts: PropOrNot is Propaganda

We asked a former top NSA official and computer expert — Thomas Drake — to look at the diagram and PropOrNot’s website.

Drake is a decorated Air Force and Navy veteran, who has been awarded numerous medals including:

  • Meritorious Service Medal
  • Air Medal
  • Air Force Commendation Medal

Drake was a member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service.

With a strong technical background in surveillance and computers, Drake was one of the top NSA executives, and was Senior Change Leader within the NSA.

Drake was also one America’s top government experts on Stasi Germany … so he knows a thing or two about propaganda.

To get a sense of who Drake is, watch this PBS interview.

When asked to analyze PropOrNot and its diagram, Drake told Washington’s Blog:

My take?

It’s a prop for a disinfo op in order to serve a manufactured narrative.

Remember what Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda under the Nazi regime, said about propaganda (among a number of things):

The propaganda “must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans” and the propaganda must also “specify targets for hatred.”

All part of the ‘rules’ of propaganda.

The diagram is far too artificially symmetrical and overly simplistic. It’s unidimensional manufactured evidence to create a certain narrative by positing faux scientific methodology that makes it appear legit, yet is really fake.

I’m Fighting the Left’s Culture War One Bagel at a Time

At first I dismissed the Democrats’ subsidized street riots and vandalism, moronic election recount demands, and perfervid attacks on Trump and his supporters in the press as a demonstration of their juvenile, narcissistic refusal to accept defeat. Then I read the brilliant essay by Angelo Codevilla

It’s a bit long and I know your Sundays are busy but if you can’t read it all at once, I’ll summarize what I think are the most significant points in the hope that if the topic is of interest you’ll read it all. He traces the notion of political correctness from the 1930 Communist movement through Antonio Gramsci’s “cultural hegemony” configuration to the modern Democratic Party and finds in them a familiar strain:

[A]ll progressives, Communists included, claim to be about creating new human realities, they are perpetually at war against nature’s laws and limits. But since reality does not yield, progressives end up pretending that they themselves embody those new realities. Hence, any progressive movement’s nominal goal eventually ends up being subordinated to the urgent, all-important question of the movement’s own power. Because that power is insecure as long as others are able to question the truth of what the progressives say about themselves and the world, progressive movements end up struggling not so much to create the promised new realities as to force people to speak and act as if these were real: as if what is correct politically — i.e., what thoughts serve the party’s interest — were correct factually.

Communist states furnish only the most prominent examples of such attempted groupthink. Progressive parties everywhere have sought to monopolize educational and cultural institutions in order to force those under their thumbs to sing their tunes or to shut up. But having brought about the opposite of the prosperity, health, wisdom, or happiness that their ideology advertised, they have been unable to force folks to ignore the gap between political correctness and reality.

He argues that this effort is bound to fail and progressives everywhere have had the same reaction “to this failure by becoming their own reason for being.” Their movements are never about what they say they are. They are about gaining power for themselves and destroying any who stand in their way. Those who refuse to comply with their ever-changing and ever more ridiculously unreal versions of nature and humanity must be the objects of never-ending warfare.

The Rise of Political Correctness

By Angelo M. Codevilla

The notion of political correctness came into use among Communists in the 1930s as a semi-humorous reminder that the Party’s interest is to be treated as a reality that ranks above reality itself. Because all progressives, Communists included, claim to be about creating new human realities, they are perpetually at war against nature’s laws and limits.

Especially since the Soviet Empire’s implosion, leftists have argued that Communism failed to create utopia not because of any shortage of military or economic power but rather because it could not overcome this gap. Is the lesson for today’s progressives, therefore, to push P.C. even harder, to place even harsher penalties on dissenters? Many of today’s more discerning European and American progressives, in possession of government’s and society’s commanding heights, knowing that they cannot wield Soviet-style repression and yet intent on beating down increasing popular resistance to their projects, look for another approach to crushing cultural resistance.

First Study on Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated Children Pulled From Web

The results of the first ever study comparing the health of vaccinated children vs. unvaccinated children is out, and they are already causing controversy. For many — hundreds of thousands of families that have already been injured by vaccines — the results won’t be surprising, but to many others, the findings might be a little shocking. This is possibly why the scientific journal which originally published the results withdrew the study from publication.

The abstract of the study was published online in Frontiers in Public Health after being accepted November 2. The study compared children’s health via surveys of mothers who home-schooled their children aged 6-12 years. Nearly 40 percent of the children had never been vaccinated, so the control group was adequate to do a good comparison against children who had been vaccinated.

After heavy criticism from the public and scientific community due to the results of the study, though, it was retracted. Why? Those that were vaccinated were three times more likely to be diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.

The abstract specifically stated,

  1. “The news comes amid growing Government concern about possible radicalisation of other prisoners by the likes of Adebolajo and hate preacher Anjem Choudary.”

The Brits sooner or later will have no option but to ship dangerous Islamic terrorists and hate preachers off shore to protect civilian prisoners from these recruiters. They need to re-establish a prison facility in their far flung remote territories, such as remote islands in the Atlantic or Indian ocean. Convicted jihadists and their mentors should be deported there, or if citizens, exiled to these island prisons with no prospect of return to Britain. The liberals will howl of course, but mainstream public will see the common sense of it. The homeland prisons can not be allowed to become Jihadist Academies, which they currently are becoming.

    • Martha’s Vineyard could be made quite inhospitable. The elites loved the <Kelo decision and it’s only fitting that it be used there.

Also, Alcatraz was unwisely shut down. There’s an “infrastructure” project we can all get behind. One French gentleman wants to revive Devil’s Island for the same purpose.

      I like how you think.

    • And governments need to stop accepting that islam is a religion, and instead name it as the treasonous, theocratic, misogynist, homophobic and violent ideology it is. Presumably they wouldn’t let fascists run ‘religious’ classes in prisons!

      • We have several senators in Oz who are pushing for a Royal Commission into Islam and whether Islam can be termed a ‘religion’ as we in the West understand religion to mean.

    • As Thoralf Alfsson said at the end of his short commentary: “Like (similar) children play best. (together)”
And the barbarian ‘children’ are totally unlike….

  2. “After heavy criticism from the public and scientific community due to the results of the study, though, it was retracted. Why? Those that were vaccinated were three times more likely to be diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.”

    Was that the only reason?
And what was the incidence of Measles, Hooping Cough, and Polio in those who were not vaccinated in the national population, compared to vaccinated kids? I also would question whether you can compare an isolated “home school” population (who may not interact with many kids outside their family) with a population of children who are mixing in public school situation. Maybe the study was removed simply as a piece of bad scientific methodology. The fact is in modern times in Western countries, we haven’t seen the scourge of these childhood diseases precisely because of these national vaccination programs. But since people “who know better than doctors”, have stopped vaccinating their kids, these diseases are making a comeback. My mother told me what it was like to see a baby with Hooping Cough, you wouldn’t wish it on any kid.
As for the Autism claim, you may as well say it’s the Fluoride in the toothpaste. It’s a wild unproven claim.

    • And the people who don’t vaccinate their children are glad that everyone else does: less chance of their darlings catching polio etc. One Dr published a book telling parents to not vaccinate their kids but keep quiet about it to let the ‘ignorant masses’ keep vaccinating for their benefit.

    • Maybe the influx of the third world from countries that have vaccination programs are the culprit?

There is evidence for that claim.

I have read up on some articles regarding child vaccinations – there is also some evidence to suggest what is now being openly stated about government controlled (do you trust your government that much?) medicinal interventions, especially when one considers how government has become controlled by outside forces.

    • Let`s face it, it was already a close call during the other votings.

Many of the nonvoters choose to go for VdB this time.
Out of only one reason – to keep a candidate from the FPÖ out of the office.
All political parties unified in this, the state media did, the privat media did, proponents of the economy sector did and so on.
Taking all this into consideration, then Hofer actually had a very good and respectable result.

I mean, in Austria Trump would`ve also lost.
      Because it`s a direct ballot.
But in the comming parlamentary vote, the FPÖ will stil be able to maintain their relative majority of voters, while the other voters will dispers again (voting for different political parties, or getting back to the attitude of being nonvoters).
But like I said before, Italy was important this Sunday, not Austria!

  3. Ah… what a good news from Italy!
The voting for the Austrian presidency in contrast was really not that important.
And certainly has no impact on a European level, regardeless of the outcome.
