Gates of Vienna News Feed 11/24/2016

Posting has been light today because of Thanksgiving. However, the news feed is full of chunky newsy goodness, thanks to the efforts of our tipsters — some of whom are Americans, and should have been eating turkey and stuffing rather than surfing the intertubes.

Migrants have been rambunctious all over Europe today. In the Italian town of Turin, migrants from the asylum center in the former Olympic village took to the street and rioted. And two people were killed when migrants on the Greek island of Lesbos rioted and burned down their camp. Also, migrants clashed with police in the Harmanli center in Bulgaria two days after the camp was sealed off due to the presence of infectious diseases among the inmates.

In other news, a major wildfire in Haifa did serious damage, prompting the evacuation of thousands of residents and the call-up of reservists to help battle the blaze. The Israeli authorities referred to it as “terror”, implying that the fire may have been deliberately set by Arab Muslims.

James Wesley Rawles: “Double up on Your Prepping, “ They Can’t Hold Back Collapse Much Longer

Now that the Western world has turned in the direction of Trump and Brexit, it may be that the bankster class is prepared to start the next phase.

The pressure that has been building since the 2008 economic crisis is poised to topple the system again. As reputed author James Wesley Rawles of SurvivalBlog.com points out, negative interest rates and big debt governing under Obama have set us up for a fall. Easy money, cheap money and free flowing, unlimited credit to the top of the heap have brought things to a desperate point of no return.

Nassim Taleb made the point that Obama’s most grandiose betrayal against the American people won’t be felt until the coming tide of inflation enlarges the national debt, already at record levels of government spending, even further:

3) Don’t fughet Obama is leaving us a Ponzi scheme, added ~8 trillions in debt with rates at 0. If they rise, costs of deficit explode…

Order Out of Chaos: The Defeat of the Left Comes With a Cost

As I noted in my last article World Suffers From Trump Shellshock — Here’s What Happens Next, there are two primary consequences of a Trump presidency that actually serve globalists and elites in the long run.

The first is the consequence of a perfect scapegoat for the economic crisis which the elites have been gestating since 2008. Trump enters the White House with a clear political mandate, a mandate that supposedly gives conservatives more power than at any other time in U.S. history. This mandate might seem like a miracle, a free hand of power to sovereignty and liberty champions to defeat the collectivist tyranny of cultural Marxists on the Left once and for all. However, it could also backfire, because under this mandate EVERYTHING bad that happens under Trump’s watch can be blamed on Trump and his followers. Conservatives have been given almost absolute influence over government (or apparent influence); by extension, they also inherit absolute responsibility, whether they like it or not.

I examined this first consequence in detail in numerous articles leading up to the 2016 election. In fact, it is the primary reason why I was so certain Trump would be president. He is the perfect scapegoat, or the perfect conduit. Under Trump, the last stage of economic collapse can finally be initiated by the financial elites and most of the world including half the population of the U.S. will immediately and without question blame conservatism, nationalism, sovereignty advocates and Trump for the disaster. They won’t think twice about looking in the direction of global bankers.

60 Law Enforcement Officers Fatally Shot This Year, 20 in Ambushes, Report Says

A total of 60 law enforcement officers have died in firearms-related incidents in 2016, marking a 67 percent increase since 2015, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund reported.

Citing a preliminary report from January 1 through November 23, the organization said that Texas has seen the most fatalities this year with 18. So far, 130 officers have died nationwide.

The worst single attack was in July, when a black military veteran killed five white officers at a protest in Dallas — the deadliest day for American law enforcement since Sept. 11, 2001. Ten days later, a former Marine killed three Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police officers.

Black Lives Matter Plans to Block White-Owned Stores on Black Friday

Black Lives Matter and other groups plan to block white-owned Chicago stores on Black Friday to bring awareness about police shootings, economic issues and alleged racism.

Local churches, Black Lives Matter and the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression will block stores along Michigan Avenue and prevent customers from entering stores for the second year in a row, reports Crain’s Chicago Business.

[Comment: If Black Lives Matter does that, that would violate a few Federal laws, and they should be sued. Sue them up the nose and bankrupt them.]

Clinton May Demand a Recount, Blame the Russians for Election Loss

Hillary Clinton and John Podesta are playing wait-and-see after a group of voting rights experts and computer security buffs claimed the election was hacked in favor of Donald Trump. “Hillary Clinton could have been robbed of the presidency by hackers, a group of experts claims — and now they’re calling for her to demand a recount,” the Daily Mail reports. The group says votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania may have been hacked to lower Clinton’s numbers. The experts believe she may have been robbed of around 30,000 votes.

Couple Planted a Fake Bomb at a School in an Attempt to Lure Police Officers to the Scene and Ambush Them

An Alabama couple planted a fake bomb at a suburban elementary school hoping to shoot officers arriving at the scene or using the confusion to rob a bank.

Zachary Edwards, 35, and Raphel Dilligard, 34, of Birmingham face charges that include making terrorist threats, rendering a false alarm and possessing a hoax destructive device, said police Captain Jeff Bridges of Trussville, Alabama.

A hoax bomb was found outside Magnolia Elementary School on November 16, prompting a response that included agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Authorities said it contained gunpowder, modeling clay and a timer, but no detonator. Experts examined the device and then detonated it at the scene.

Bridges said: ‘It looked real enough that it concerned us.’

Arrested afterward, the couple told investigators what they had planned, according to Bridges…

Did NASA Mars Rover Find a Signature of Past Life?

During its wheeled treks on the Red Planet, NASA’s Spirit rover may have encountered a potential signature of past life on Mars, report scientists at Arizona State University (ASU).

To help make their case, the researchers have contrasted Spirit’s study of “Home Plate” — a plateau of layered rocks that the robot explored during the early part of its third year on Mars — with features found within active hot spring/geyser discharge channels at a site in northern Chile called El Tatio.

The work has resulted in a provocative paper: “Silica deposits on Mars with features resembling hot spring biosignatures at El Tatio in Chile.”

Digital Lock Down: Google and Facebook Take Aim at ‘Fake News’ Websites

“The Establishment Is Scared Sh*tless”

What this year’s Presidential election has proven is that alternative media is a force to be reckoned with, and the establishment is scared shitless.

But they won’t let it happen again.

[… ] Today’s actions by Google and Facebook provide further evidence that the establishment media and Deep State politicians are preparing a digital lock down on any and all information that has not been approved by an as of yet unknown Truth Panel…

The moves by Google and Facebook follow a recent de-monetzation effort at Youtube that has also targeted alternative media. As noted in their “Advertiser Friendly Content Guidelines,” they appear to be targeting exactly the issues often covered by alternative media by directly banning:

Content that is considered “not advertiser-friendly” includes, but is not limited to:

Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown

So basically, anything newsworthy is no longer advertiser friendly, and these organizations will now determine whose news will or won’t be seen based on what is sure to be proprietary algorithms and secretive human curation.

The bottom line is this: the time and energy required to produce the amount of video content and investigative journalism that we saw during the election is astronomical. Thousands of journalists, bloggers and concerned citizens spent countless hours reporting the news the mainstream media wouldn’t. Many of those people depend on advertising revenue to cover their most basic website maintenance costs, as well as their monthly mortgages and the food they put on their dinner tables.

The aim with policies like this, which will no doubt be overseen by establishment hacks, is to quite literally starve independent media. In turn, they will starve the people of the information they so desperately need to understand what is being done to them.

This is only the beginning. The lock down will continue.

It’s Happening: They Are Shutting Down “Fake News” Websites to Punish Alt Media Hillary Opponents

This election proved the power of the Internet, and of the people who used their voices to the fullest.

But now, they will pay for it.

Will it mean the end of free speech?

Clearly, the deep state was not defeated overnight, but a loose network of hackers, researchers, alternative media outlets and long-term constituents of the “vast rightwing conspiracy” did manage to overpower the establishment’s choice of Hillary for president — and managed to embarrass the mainstream media while they were at it.

Even if they won’t get everything they wanted under President-elect Trump, they proved that a number of leading websites, and quite a few underground blogs, aren’t just promoting fringe views, but have become influential and often damning, even to the most high profile players. The Internet, and in particular, the alternative media, counterbalanced the mainstream effectively in 2016, and defeated their narrative.

And now, those who control the corporate-dominated flow of information want to end that competition.

As SHTF just reported:…

Let’s Expand the Electoral College

Use electoral college to veto legislation, executive orders, and Supreme Court rulings!

Far from being outdated and past their time, the ideas behind the electoral college are greatly underutilized.

The electoral college is thought by many to be somehow uniquely American, but this is not the case. Similar mechanisms — sometimes called “double-majority” systems — have been used in many different times and places in political history.

The current confusion about the mechanics of the electoral college appear to be largely a function of the fact that it is now widely forgotten that the United States is intended to be collection of independent states, and not a unitary political unit.

For an illustration of why a system like the electoral college is so essential, we can look to the European Union. Consider, for example, if the European Union were to hold a union-wide election for a single chief executive. (The EU does not hold such an election, however, because the EU is controlled by appointees, and because there is no president in the conventional sense.)

If the EU were to do this, we would immediately notice that a small handful of large and populous member countries could dominate election and policy decisions union-wide. Without some sort of mechanism to even out these disparities, smaller states wold continually be at the mercy of the larger ones.

Man Pushed Toward NYC Subway Tracks for Being White

A man was assaulted on an East Harlem, N.Y. subway platform reportedly because of his race, the New York Post reported. The 28-year-old, who is white and was not further identified, was allegedly standing on the MTA platform at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue when Gary Weeks, 51, shoved him toward the tracks. “I don’t like white people,” police sources say Weeks uttered as he pushed the younger man toward the Bronxbound 4 & 5 trains’ tracks. The man did not fall onto the tracks and was able get away from Weeks with the help of a fellow straphanger, the Post reported. Weeks was combative when the NYPD arrived and allegedly spat in one officer’s face before being hauled off for a psychiatric evaluation. A hate crime charge of attempted murder has been levied against Weeks.

Monsanto Celebrates Approval of New Dicamba Herbicide and Fights Dirty to Silence Cancer Scientists

Permissible glyphosate levels in many foods were raised to 15 to 25 times previous levels

The promise that transgenic crops would lead to “greener” agriculture and less chemicals has not come to pass. Instead, more and more chemicals are being used on our food and the feed we raise our livestock on.

Since the introduction of transgenic crops two decades ago, herbicide-resistant weeds have become a serious problem. At least 35 weed species are now resistant to glyphosate, the primary ingredient in Monsanto’s broad-spectrum herbicide Roundup.1

Studies2 have also linked glyphosate to increases in Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS), a deadly plant disease that causes plants to turn yellow and die — including crops that have never been sprayed with the herbicide but were planted in a field that received an application the previous season.

To stay on top of the resistant weed problem, farmers not only apply more pesticides, they also mix different pesticides together to prevent the weeds from adapting to a single formula. Newer genetically engineered (GE) seeds are also designed to resist even more toxic combinations.

Alarming Levels of Glyphosate Found in Popular Foods

According to independent testing by The Detox Project, glyphosate is present at “alarming levels” in many popular processed foods.

Scientists have found glyphosate can alter gene function in the livers and kidneys of rats at levels as low as 0.05 parts per billion (ppb). Meanwhile, Cheerios was found to contain more than 1,125 ppb of glyphosate, Doritos more than 481 ppb and Ritz crackers more than 270 ppb.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended testing for glyphosate residues in food, citing “disagreement and difficulties with establishing a standard methodology to use,” along with “equipment issues.”5 The agency is “unsure” when testing will resume.

According to FDA spokeswoman Megan McSeveney, preliminary results indicated there were “no violations of legal tolerance levels allowed for glyphosate” in the foods tested.

However, it’s important to remember that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) significantly raised allowable levels of glyphosate in foods back in 2013, and evidence suggests the legal tolerance levels are likely far too high for safety.

Allowable levels in flax, soybean and canola were doubled, from 20 parts per million (ppm) to 40 ppm — just 10 ppm below the level at which Roundup may cause cell death, according to research published in 2011.

Permissible glyphosate levels in many other foods were raised to 15 to 25 times previous levels. Root and tuber vegetables, with the exception of sugar, got one of the largest boosts, with allowable residue limits being raised from 0.2 ppm to 6.0 ppm. The level for sweet potatoes was raised to 3 ppm.

[Comment: Glyphosate is a known carcinogen, there is no safe amount. Part of a “slow kill” depopulation agenda, while making money on the “illnesses” created by the poison. Note the explosion in IBD illness.]

Reddit Bans “Pizzagate” — “We Don’t Want Witchhunts on Our Site”

For those not familiar with the movement, the “Pizzagate” subreddit was started by a group of Trump-supporting internet sleuths who were attempting to use WikiLeaks’ leaked Podesta emails to connect the Clintons and John Podesta to the convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. That said, when the Podesta emails failed to reveal a “smoking gun” linkage, the sleuths instead turned their focus to mulitple “pizza” references in Podesta’s emails which then led to the speculation that those “pizza” references must be code for something far more sinister.

According to the Washington Post, the “Pizzagate” sleuths are convinced that the “secret headquarters of a child sex-trafficking ring run by Hillary Clinton and members of her inner circle” is located in the basement of a Washington D.C. pizza shop called the Comet Ping Pong Pizzeria. The owner of the pizzeria, James Alefantis, says he has received numerous death threats over the past couple of weeks and has been forced to go to the FBI for protection.

German Court Says Islamic ‘Sharia Patrol’ Legal A German court has thrown out a case against a group of extremist Salafist ‘sharia police,’ for the second time, claiming they have not broken the law. Italy’s Constitutional Referendum

Why Italy should vote no in its referendum

The country needs far-reaching reforms, just not the ones on offer

ITALY has long been the biggest threat to the survival of the euro, and the European Union. Its GDP per head is stuck at the level of the late 1990s. Its labour market is sclerotic. Its banks are stuffed with non-performing loans. The state is burdened with the second-highest debt load in the euro zone, at 133% of GDP. If Italy veers towards default, it will be too big to rescue.

That is why so much hope has rested with Matteo Renzi, the young prime minister. He thinks Italy’s biggest underlying problem is institutional paralysis, and has called a referendum for December 4th on constitutional changes that would take back powers from the regions and make the Senate subordinate to parliament’s lower house, the Chamber of Deputies. This, together with a new electoral law that seeks to guarantee the biggest party a majority, will give him the power to pass the reforms Italy desperately needs, or so he claims…

Like it or Not, Your Dog Remembers Everything You Do

Dogs are able to remember much more than you think

Dogs are not only man’s best friend, but they remember almost everything we do, even if we are prone to forget.

In fact, their memory is so complex that researchers did not believe any animal other than humans had such an innate sense of the past. However, it is has been discovered that dogs may be closer to us in cognitive skills than we think.

The new study, published in Current Biology, studied 17 dogs and their owners. According to the research, dogs can both remember and then imitate the same actions their own did over one hour previously.

Humans have always suspected that dogs could relieve memories and events, but this latest research, conducted in Budapest, Hungary, revealed this for the first time scientifically.

Major New Find at Stonehenge

A major new archaeological find of causewayed enclosures and artifacts near Britain’s famous Stonehenge site is about to “rewrite” the history of the area and of northwestern Europe’s early inhabited history. Built 5,650 years ago-more than 1,000 years before Stonehenge-one of the enclosures appears to have been a major ceremonial gathering place.

Paris: Jihadists ‘Aimed to Hit Disneyland on December 1st’

A jihadist terror ring was planning to attack Paris on December 1 and had researched sites including a Christmas market and Disneyland outside the capital as potential targets, a police source said Thursday.

Seven suspects were arrested in police raids last weekend in the eastern city of Strasbourg and Marseille in the south following an eight-month investigation by security services, although two were later released.

The source said investigators found the suspects had made internet searches on sites including the Christmas market on the prestigious Champs-Elysees avenue, the Disneyland Paris theme park, cafe terraces in the northeast of the capital, the Paris criminal police headquarters and a Metro station.

Five of the suspects have had their custody extended under legislation covering investigations into an imminent terror attack.

One of the men is said to have told investigators that attacks were planned and named the police headquarters in central Paris and the DGSI domestic security department in the northwest of the city as targets.

Right Wing Parties Loud in Europe After Trump Victory

BERLIN — As the initial shock of the outcome of the 2016 U.S. elections wears off and the imminent presidency of Donald Trump becomes a reality, right-wing populist parties across Europe are betting their electoral fortunes are on the rise too.

Mr. Trump’s stunning victory, coming on the heels of Britain’s decision to pull out of the European Union, has sent an electric surge through right-wing political parties and figures across the continent, who argue that after years in the political wilderness, their moment has come. Many of Mr. Trump’s populist themes — a hard line on immigration, a distrust of trade deals, a defense of traditional values and a suspicion of international organizations and international elites — are the same ones that are getting new attention on this side of the Atlantic.

Trump Voters — Support Geert Wilders!

By Jim ONeill

Yesterday the Dutch politician Geert Wilders appeared in his country before a board of elitist opponents who wish to strip him of his last tatters of freedom — the freedom of speech — and muzzle him (and the silent multitudes for whom he speaks)…

“I stand here before you. Alone. But I am not alone. My voice is the voice of many. …A worldwide movement is emerging that puts an end to the politically correct doctrines of the elites and the media that are subordinate to them. And I tell you, the battle of the elite against the people will be won by the people. Here, too, you will not be able to stop this, but rather accelerate it. We will win… and it will be remembered well who was on the right side of history. Common sense will prevail over politically correct arrogance.

The voice of freedom cannot be imprisoned; it rings like a bell. Everywhere, ever more people are saying what they think. They do not want to lose their land, they do not want to lose their freedom.” — Geert Wilders 11/23/16 “Final Statement at His ‘Hate Speech’ Trial”

I am reminded of when famed Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci was dying of cancer in NYC and her native country of Italy tried her in absentia for “hate speech” because she dared to raise an alarm about Europe turning into “Eurabia.” The elites are heartless, vindictive, Machiavellian, and ruthless. They must be opposed at every turn or freedom will perish.

8 Soldiers Killed in Suicide Car Bombing in Egypt’s Sinai

Egypt’s military spokesman says Islamic militants have exploded a suicide car bomb at a checkpoint in northern Sinai and clashed with troops, leaving eight dead.

Mohammed Samir said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page that the militants late Thursday also blew up an armored vehicle at the checkpoint near the restive city of el-Arish. At least 12 troops were injured.

Samir said three of the militants were killed and the rest are on the run. He also said the car bomb was laden with a large amount of explosives.

No group claimed responsibility.

The Egyptian military has been battling Islamic extremists in Sinai for years. The Islamic State affiliate has claimed responsibility for the country’s worst attacks.

Wildfire Roars Through Israeli City, Forcing Thousands of Evacuations

HAIFA, Israel — A wildfire roared through parts of Israel’s third-largest city on Thursday, forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate their homes as the country’s leaders raised the possibility that Arab assailants had intentionally set the blaze.

Spreading quickly due to dry, windy weather, the fire raced through Haifa’s northern neighborhoods, sending panicked residents fleeing from the area.

While there were no serious injuries, several dozen people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. In a rare move, Israel called up hundreds of military reservists to join overstretched police and firefighters and was making use of an international fleet of firefighting aircraft sent by a slew of countries.

The Haifa blaze was the most serious in a series of fires that have erupted across the country in recent days. On a visit to the area, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said anyone implicated in setting the fires would be punished severely.

“It’s a crime for all intents and purposes and in our opinion it is terror for all intents and purposes,” he said. He said incitement to arson was also playing a role in spreading the fires…

India Rupee Ban: Ex-PM Manmohan Singh Rubbishes Modi Crackdown

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has rubbished the government’s move to ban two major currency notes, calling it “monumental mismanagement”.

Mr Singh, the architect of economic reforms in the 1990s, said GDP would fall “by about 2%” because of the move.

Earlier this month Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that 500 and 1,000 rupee notes had become illegal as part of a crackdown on corruption.

But scarcity of new notes has brought the economy to a virtual standstill.

Mr Singh, who is credited with opening up India’s economy when he was finance minister in 1992, told MPs the move “can weaken and erode our people’s confidence in the currency system and in the banking system”.

He said it amounted to “legalised plunder”.

Earlier, the rupee fell to almost 69 to the US dollar, a record low.

Myanmar Wants Ethnic Cleansing of Rohingya — UN Official

Myanmar is seeking the ethnic cleansing of the Muslim Rohingya minority from its territory, a senior UN official has told the BBC.

Armed forces have been killing Rohingya in Rakhine state, forcing many to flee to neighbouring Bangladesh, says John McKissick of the UN refugee agency.

The government of Myanmar, also known as Burma, has been conducting counter-insurgency operations since coordinated attacks on border guards in October.

It denies reports of atrocities.

A spokesman said the government was “very, very disappointed” by the comments.

Burmese officials say Rohingya are setting fire to their own houses in northern Rakhine state. The BBC cannot visit the area to verify what is occurring there, as journalists and aid workers have been barred.

France on the Verge of Total Collapse

France is in turmoil. “Migrants” arriving from Africa and the Middle East sow disorder and insecurity in many cities. The huge slum commonly known as the “jungle of Calais” has just been dismantled, but other slums are being created each day. In eastern Paris, streets have been covered with corrugated sheets, oilcloth and disjointed boards. Violence is commonplace. France’s 572 “no-go zones,” officially defined as “sensitive urban areas”, continue to grow, and police officers who approach them often suffer the consequences. Recently, a police car drove into an ambush and was torched while the police were prevented from getting out. If attacked, police officers are told by their superiors to flee rather than retaliate. Many police officers, angry at having to behave like cowards, have organized demonstrations. No terrorist attacks have taken place since the slaughter of a priest in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray on July 26, 2016, but intelligence services see that jihadists have returned from the Middle East and are ready to act, and that riots may break out anywhere, any time, on any pretext.

Migrant Centre Explosions: Violence Between Locals and Migrants Shuts Down Italian City

Violence erupted outside a former Olympic village accommodation where 1,300 migrants are being housed in Italy.

Long-standing tensions between local residents and migrants broke out on Wednesday night when two explosions were set off just outside the migrant centre in Turin.

The powerful explosions were strong enough to shake windows of nearby houses, according to local residents.

In the morning, a group of around 300 migrants blocked the main road outside of the housing block.

They also smashed road signs and parked cars while other shouted at the Italian locals.

Footage from nearby witnesses last night captured the migrants hurling stones and bottles at riot police.

Residents also locked themselves in shops to avoid being hit by missiles.

According to locals, migrants told passerbys they were “Italian racists” as traffic was brought to a standstill outside the accommodation.

Protesters threw stones at riot police, who used water cannon to disperse them.

Some 13,000 migrants are still stranded in Bulgaria, the European Union’s poorest country.

In an attempt to prevent illegal crossings, the country built a fence on its border with Turkey and reinforced its border controls.

New UN Boss Tells Europe Migration Unstoppable, Says Politicians Should Ignore Voters

The incoming Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) told a room of policymakers in Europe on Wednesday that “migration is not the problem but the solution”, and said politicians should ignore voters.

Speaking in Lisbon at the Vision Europe Summit, António Guterres said European nations have no right to control their borders and that they must instead take in floods of the world’s poorest people.

“The idea that management of migration is a matter of national sovereignty is extremely limited. The truth is that in the meantime, the real controllers of international mobility are the smugglers and criminal organisations. It must be recognised that migration is inevitable and will not stop”, the socialist told the crowd of policymakers and researchers.

Regarding priorities for the UN, when he takes over from South Korean Ban Ki-moon as Secretary-General, Guterres said he already has “several items to put on the discussion table to drive positive developments” with regards to the goal of making Europe accept more migrants.

This will take place in the form of “develop[ing] legal migration opportunities as the only way to fight against criminal networks”, he hinted.

Guterres insisted that every European Union (EU) nation must be forced to “share the burden” of mass migration.

10 thoughts on “Gates of Vienna News Feed 11/24/2016

  1. On the Let’s Expand the Electoral College item, the U.S. Senate is a good example of the “ideas behind the electoral college”, particularly when the original method of electing Senators is included–something that looks more attractive with each passing election-cycle.

    • I read some of the WaPo drivel. I believe one of their claims is that the sites listed used Facebook to spread their fakery and as a means of monetizing their sites.

      For the record (again)-

      1.We never used Facebook. Ugh.
2.The volunteer admin (lives in Australia) who offered to take over as admin from the first admin (from NZ) felt it was important that GoV have a “presence” on FaceAche. Life interfered so the 2nd volunteer kinda sorta kept up the page as time allowed. We didn’t care if it was up-to-date or not.
3.We never actually went there to look at it nor were we ever in possession of the username or password.
      4. It was when we read the news about Angela Merkel & Boy Zuckerberg’s decision to use FB as a way to catch “hate speech” in Germany that we decided Enough. I wrote to our volunteer and asked her to close it down permanently. So she did. Though I’ve been told no closure is actually permanent.

I loathe FB. Thus to read that we utilize it to promote our website is simply ludicrous.

I liked it better when we were accused of being tools of the Zionists…used to say, yes, it was true and our “pay” from Mossad was all the gefilte fish we could eat.

WaPo has obviously jumped the shark and is busy swimming is frenzied circles, not noticing the loss of a limb or three. Bezos was/is phenomenal with Amazon. But having enough money to buy his way into WaPo is an example of the Peter Principle in action. Delusion appears to be a top-down problem with these jornolists.

  2. To Gates of Vienna:

I’ve enjoyed and shared your publishings for many years. It was about time I kicked in a little bit for the many thoughts and benefits I’ve taken from your website for several years. So I sent you $25US as a small (I’m retired and somewhat scrimping) token of thanks. All the best to you, and lifelong thanks to you for your work.

I am currently living near Detroit, but am newly retired and have recently bought a resort property in Mexico, along the beaches of Riviera Maya, South of Cancun, near Playa del Carmen in the state of Quintana Roo. If you can make the trip I would be delighted to provide a luxurious lodging for the both of you along sugar white sands, in a zen-like community that you would, I’m sure, see as paradise, as I did when I bought in there. My payoff would be the privilege of getting to know you and sharing my paradise with a kindred spirit. The lodging I would provide you would allow complete privacy and the option to engage with my Australian wife and I or not. The cost to you, except for getting there, is Zero. My gift.

I just want to offer this in appreciation for all you have done. All you have to do is buy a round trip ticket to Cancun (CUN). If you do I will meet you at the airport, take care of the details, and feel good about providing two good people with a fine tropical vacation. If you like the idea, e-mail me as to when you wish to come and how long you would like to stay.

    All the best,

    John Adams
