Baltimore Business Sues Dali Owners for Negligence in Key Bridge Collapse

A Baltimore publisher is suing the companies behind the massive cargo ship that collapsed the Francis Scott Key Bridge last month, saying they were negligent for allowing an allegedly unseaworthy ship to sail ahead of the catastrophic crash that killed six people.

American Publishing LLC, based in Essex, filed the proposed class action lawsuit Thursday on behalf of other businesses in the Baltimore area impacted by the bridge collapse. Local enterprises dramatically cut back on placing advertisements in American Publishing’s publications since the bridge collapse, impacting its bottom line, the complaint says.

The complaint targets Grace Ocean Private Ltd. And Synergy Marine Pte Ltd., the Singaporean companies that own and manage the ship that brought down the Key Bridge. Citing a federal law from 1851, the companies asked to be cleared of liability from the bridge collapse or to limit damages to the cost of the ship and the money it stood to make from its cargo.

Biden is the Least Popular President in 70 Years — Below Even Nixon and Carter, Scathing Poll Finds

It’s a low blow for Joe.

Joe Biden is the least popular commander in chief at this point of his presidency in the last 70 years, below even Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter, according to a blistering new poll — imperiling his chances of re-election.

Biden, 81, notched a dismal 38.7% job approval rating for the first quarter of 2024, the venerable Gallup Poll found in a survey released Friday, three points lower than that of the one-term George H.W. Bush at the same point in his presidency.

“With about six months remaining before Election Day, Biden stands in a weaker position than any prior incumbent,” the pollsters concluded.

Campus Arrests Spread as Students Press on With Pro-Palestinian Protests

Authorities detained or arrested about 200 people on Saturday at pro-Palestinian protests on campuses nationwide, as student groups resisted orders to break down encampments while some universities pointed to antisemitic acts on their campuses.

In Boston, the Northeastern University Police Department cleared an encampment Saturday morning after the school claimed that it had been “infiltrated by professional organizers with no affiliation to Northeastern,” according to a school spokesperson. “Kill the Jews” was shouted at the demonstration, though there were conflicting reports about who the remark came from.

“Last night, the use of virulent antisemitic slurs, including ‘Kill the Jews,’ crossed the line,” Renata Nyul, Northeastern’s vice president for communications, said in a statement Saturday morning. “We cannot tolerate this kind of hate on our campus.”

The heated scene was just the latest clash between students, police and university leadership since campus protests erupted this month. At least 900 people have been arrested on campuses, according to a tally by The Washington Post.

From Boston to California, student groups are demanding schools cut any financial ties to Israel, calling for a cease-fire in Gaza and defying pressure from administrators to disperse. The turmoil has prompted schools to dispense with graduation ceremonies and cancel in-person classes. Zoomed out, it has put a sharp focus on American college campuses as the war in Gaza intensifies.

Tesla Attorneys Target Shareholder Trying to Stop Moving Musk’s Pay Fight to Texas

Richard Tornetta, who was at the center of Tesla shareholders’ claim that Elon Musk was taking an excessive pay package, is now at the center of claims that Tesla should not be reincorporating to Texas to approve Musk’s voided pay plan.

But Tesla is firing back at Tornetta. John Reed, one of Tesla’s attorneys, said in a Delaware Chancery Court filing this week that Tornetta “is raising false alarms”, according to Bloomberg.

Musk has considered relocating Tesla’s headquarters from Delaware to Texas after a judge revoked his substantial pay package due to conflicts among directors and inadequate disclosure of plan details.

In response, Tornetta is urging the judge to prevent Musk from addressing the pay dispute outside of Delaware. Despite this, no legal actions are currently threatened or pending in Texas, and Musk has not obstructed the issuance of a final judgment in the case, according to Reed’s letter to the judge.

McCormick’s decision on retaining the dispute in Delaware remains uncertain and could affect the case’s outcome. If Tesla relocates to Texas and adjusts Musk’s compensation there, it might trigger a new legal battle under Texas law.

Unveiling the Shadow Alliance: Soros, Arabella, and Biden’s Secret Policy Influence

The secret alliance between the Soros philanthropic network, Arabella Advisors, and the Biden administration was uncovered in mid-2022 after extensive efforts to conceal it. The findings of the investigation suggest potential influence of these organizations on the shaping of US policy and legislation, writes The American Mind.

In early 2022, the Capital Research Center brought Fox News’ attention to the existence of a secret 501(c)(3) organization called Governing for Impact, operating under the guise of “charitable activity.” This organization, along with its affiliate (c)(4) group, the Governing for Impact Action Fund, was established to research, advocate for, and defend new federal regulations for implementation by the Biden administration. These groups, linked to Arabella’s New Venture Fund and the Sixteen Thirty Fund, and funded by Soros grant-makers to the tune of $17.4 million between 2019 and 2021, deliberately operated in obscurity since their inception in 2019. It is noteworthy that their website was strategically hidden from search engines, accessible only to those familiar with its URL, such as Biden administration officials.

Swedish Defense Committee Calls for Near $4.8 Billion Defense Spending Jump

BELFAST — Key Swedish lawmakers are calling for national defense spending to rise to 2.6 percent GDP by the end of the decade, based on new proposed investment of SEK 52.8 billion ($4.8 billion).

Swedish annual defense spending already jumped 28 percent this year and currently sits at around SEK 120 billion ($10.8 billion). Hamas is Reviewing an Israeli Proposal for a Cease-Fire in Gaza, as a Planned Rafah Offensive Looms

CAIRO — Hamas said Saturday that it was reviewing a new Israeli proposal for a cease-fire in Gaza, as Egypt intensified efforts to broker a deal to end the months-long war and stave off a planned Israeli ground offensive into the southern city of Rafah.

Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya gave no details of Israel’s offer, but said it was in response to a proposal from Hamas two weeks ago. Negotiations earlier this month centered on a six-week cease-fire proposal and the release of 40 civilian and sick hostages in exchange for freeing hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Hamas’ statement came hours after a high-level Egyptian delegation wrapped up a visit to Israel where it discussed a “new vision” for a prolonged cease-fire in Gaza, according to an Egyptian official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to freely discuss the developments.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Israel’s new proposal was directly related to Friday’s visit by Egyptian mediators.

Mass Graves Found at Gaza Hospitals Raided by Israel Prompt Demands for Independent Investigation

At mass graves in southern Gaza’s Nasser Hospital, Palestinian authorities say they are uncovering bodies that bear signs of having been shot in the head, their hands bound by zip ties, stripped of their clothes, or buried in hospital gowns with tubes or needles still in their skin. Among the dead are women and children.

The remains found in the mass graves have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding their deaths during the months of intense fighting in and around Nasser Hospital. Israel denies wrongdoing but acknowledges exhuming bodies that had already been buried, then reburying them, in its search for hostages taken captive into Gaza during Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks.

John Kirby, spokesperson for the National Security Council, on Thursday called the reports from Nasser Hospital “deeply disturbing,” adding that “we’d like to see this investigated.” Kirby said the White House was in dialogue with Israeli counterparts.

UK Looking to Deploy British Soldiers to Deliver Aid to Gaza Via Biden’s Floating Pier, BBC Reports

The United Kingdom is considering deploying British troops to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip following the construction of an offshore floating pier by the United States military, the BBC has claimed.

A report from Britain’s public broadcaster, citing unnamed government sources, the UK is making plans to send soldiers to drive aid trucks from the soon-to-be-completed pier to a floating causeway to the shores of Gaza.

While the BBC noted that no final decision had been made, with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak yet to give his approval, the report came after a senior military official from the United States said that there would be no American “boots on the ground” and that a so far unnamed third-party country will supply the manpower to drive the trucks and deliver the aid.

The Honeytrap Resistance: Women Who Lure Putin’s Soldiers to Their Deaths With Promises of Sex. Locals Handing Out Poison Cakes…

— There’s nothing Ukrainians behind enemy lines won’t do to defeat their Russian occupiers

At first glance, Andrii is a typical university student. Aged 21, he has a mop of fair hair, blue eyes and a gentle smile. Unlike most students, however, he has been risking torture and death behind enemy lines, smuggling out secret intelligence to the Ukrainian resistance.

Andrii was born and brought up in Mariupol, the port city that was besieged and then invaded by Russia in the first two months of the war in early 2022.

The brave Ukrainian soldiers who remained in the city’s steelworks for weeks under terrifying bombardment came to embody the nation’s defiance against overwhelming firepower.

A true patriot, Andrii couldn’t sit by while his country collapsed. So, unarmed and with just a smartphone, he began photographing documents, buildings and locations that he felt would be useful for the Ukrainian armed forces.

Two Swedes discuss on an Australian channel
Among other things, the World Peace Index, where Sweden has fallen to 28th place, the upcoming music festival and the situation of the Jews in Malmö and more in a fairly short time. Ingrid Carlquist and the incredibly productive Pelle Taylor. Minute 37:15.

A Dutch channel has this introductory interview with Pelle Taylor (in English) on all sorts of issues, and when I hear it, it’s almost like hearing my own view of the complicated world we live in: Pelle Taylor warns against Swedish NATO membership : ‘Leads to War’. It is about many other things. It is a few months old:

“Germany is a Sweden for adults”
“If the battle for civilization comes down to the goons versus the barbarians, the barbarians will win.”
    Thomas Sowell

Watch the famous Henrik Jönsson’s 29 minutes. THAT is how bad it has gotten when a population is not mature enough to intervene when vandals tear down their land and walk away from them. It’s not that little.

Children and young people believe that the conditions they are born into are eternal and unchanging, but adults must know that the conditions also depend on their sense of responsibility. Were the Swedes ripe for popular rule? “Hardly”, one must say.

They have received hundreds of warnings without taking their hands out of their trouser pockets and now the price is being paid in the form of violence, death and increasing poverty. In the roughly 60 years I’ve been in Sweden, it’s a deroute so steep that nothing like it can be found in recent times.

Why don’t they take action against the vandals now, while many of them are still alive? Why do they still not want to take responsibility for their lives and the lives of their descendants? Are they waiting for Godot, miracle or God? The barbarians win, time is running out.

Academy member Horace Engdahl had a line several years ago that was both funny, clever and scary: “Germany is a Sweden for adults”. Scary because it makes me think of Golding’s Lord of the Flies, where a group of schoolboys are tasked with maintaining civilization, and fail miserably.

Sweden in the past generation is a parallel. What they must see now is whether there will be a new generation that will completely let go of a millennial nation, or that will be a building generation.

That the spirit of the times and Denmark have a close bond is evident from the fact that a cand.mag. on the literature side believes that William Golding’s novel is, among other things, about why “children are so mean to each other”. Ohhh…..say it doesn’t fit! It shows that really good books are like holding up a mirror in front of the reader, they show how much is inside – in him, that is.

“The head on the nail”, by Horace Engdahl. The Swedes are “peace victims” for 200 years of peace and 100 years of welfare. There is no experience in the country that the goods you own can be lost again.

It won’t be easy to survive. Perhaps that is why they have suddenly become so warlike and have joined the war alliance NATO just before closing time. I thought I was seasoned, but this just shook me.

Sweden and DK become barbaric banana states

Politics is nothing but fraud, hypocrisy, ineptitude
    and empty promises.

But the Swedes and Danes are daydreamers and sleepwalkers. The
love their TVs, cars and fix climate and multicultural ideas higher
than their children. And for 35 years in a row, the majority has not been able to see through
that their own politicians have nothing for them but false propaganda,
lie and betrayal, disaster and doom. Next chapter i
our history will be filled with idiocy, state terror and
death. Democracy only exists when many have the WILL to uphold it.
But since 1968, almost no one has wanted to spend time, energy, money and
energy on it. They have let the powers of lies, the fools and the rabid
red and radical prathumanists m/k control everything. Now we stand at the edge
of the abyss, and only miracles can prevent both countries from crashing
in it and disappear in it.

Sweden is being transformed by immigration. Sweden’s rulers want the country to be a “humanitarian superpower”; but it ends up as a multicultural slurry tank.
If the current tsunami of immigration continues, in a few decades the Swedes will become a minority in their own Islamized country.
Currently, only approx. 25% of the asylum seekers and relatives who arrived many years ago, full-time jobs. Foreign-born, 20% of the population, receive almost 60% of the social allowance. The welfare state is and will be under enormous pressure. Swedish social losers are thrown under the bus to give cheap apartments and jobs to the butt-lifting clans.
In 2018, 16% of the Swedish population had a non-Western background, i.e. mostly Muslims.
What are they going to use all these Syrian brain surgeons and nuclear scientists for in Sweden?

    ***

Sweden=Hamas country and DK will probably suffer the same fate

Here in 2024, probably 25% have Arab and African background. And for a long time
before the swedes become a minority they will be violently attacked
in over 100 different brutal and destructive ways. Yes it is
already long ago started, and every month the number of attacks increases and
assault. Malmö, Gothenburg, Uppsala, Stockholm etc. like in the old days
were extremely peaceful cities, are now areas of shootings, stabbings,
starting fires, fraud and threats, destroyed cars and shops, burglary,
vandalism, shootings, stone throwing, rapes and bomb explosions.
(Hodja and Youtube have a lot about what is happening around terror
and rampant madness and criminality) (In DK there is now violence and
assaults in primary schools, with stabbings and corrosive liquids in bottles)

    ***
    4

probably to suffer the same fate
There was once a theory that when the percentage of Muslims in a country exceeded 20, the Muslims would invariably start a civil war, both armed and demographic, which according to the best Islamic tradition will be cruel and to the bitter end. Sweden is now at this border.
