AOC Defends Hunter Biden Amid Impeachment Inquiry Testimony: ‘Abuse of Public Power’

Hunter was called to testify for a closed-door deposition before the House impeachment inquiry into Democrat President Joe Biden on Wednesday.

After the 2016 election, Google CEO Sundar Pichai pledged that investing in artificial intelligence would be a great opportunity for the tech giant to combat “misinformation.”

Hunter Biden Testified He Was ‘High or Drunk’ While Writing ‘Sitting Here With My Father’ $5m China Shakedown Text — But Still Got the Money

A readout of the 54-year-old first son’s closed-door impeachment inquiry deposition was provided to numerous news outlets Wednesday evening citing Hunter’s claim that President Biden had nothing to do with the shakedown of Chinese state-linked CEFC China Energy.

Ignored by ‘Oppenheimer,’ Atomic Test Victims Speak Out

Wesley Burris was fast asleep in bed when the world’s first atomic bomb exploded just 25 miles from his front door.

A blinding light filled the home in the New Mexico desert, before the impossible force of the blast shattered its windows, spraying glass across the four-year-old boy and his brother.

“It was so bright, I couldn’t see,” Burris recalls. “I can remember asking, ‘Dad, what happened? Did the Sun blow up?’“

The events of 5:30 a.m. on July 16, 1945 are now best known to millions from their dramatic re-enactment in the Oscar-tipped movie “Oppenheimer.”

But they loom large in the actual memory of Burris, who is now 83 years old and still living just a few miles from the secret location where scientists and military chiefs gathered on that historic morning.

Because while the film presents the Trinity test site as a vast, empty desert, Burris and his family were among thousands who lived within a 50-mile (80-kilometer) radius.

And like all of their neighbors, the family had no clue what was going on — or why a giant mushroom-shaped cloud was spreading across their horizon.

“We weren’t scared from it. Because it didn’t kill us right there,” he told AFP. “We had no idea what it was.”

Fast-forward eight decades, and Burris knows all too well the true deadliness of that explosion, which sent radioactive material 50,000 feet (15,000 meters) into the air.

The test took place amid thunderstorms, despite scientists’ warnings, in the race to have the bomb ready for a key World War II summit with the Soviets.

Torrential rains brought toxic debris straight back down, where it irradiated the desert dust, the water supplies and the food chain.

Burris has lost his brother to cancer. His sister had it too, as does her daughter.

And he himself has skin cancer, which he tries to treat with traditional Native American medicine.

Despite all this, no New Mexican affected by radiation from the Trinity test has received a dime in compensation.

Media Blackout: 67+ ‘Prominent’ Muslims in Minnesota Arrested in Biggest U.S. Pandemic-Era Fraud Scheme, Many Attempt to Flee to Islamic Countries Amid $250 Million Scandal

Scores of prominent Islamic migrant figures, most with deep ties to the Democratic Party and including donors to Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s reelection campaign, alongside a celebrated left-wing journalist, business owners, and government workers, stand accused of wire fraud, money laundering, bribery, and conspiracy to commit those crimes. They allegedly funneled millions of federal dollars, earmarked for feeding underprivileged children, into personal luxuries, ranging from lavish homes and high-end cars to even a beach resort in Kenya.

The Feeding Our Future fraud scheme, uncovered by federal authorities, represents one of the most egregious examples of pandemic-era fraud, with over $250 million stolen from programs designed to feed needy children in Minnesota. The scheme involved a network of almost exclusively Islamic immigrant defendants who exploited the Federal Child Nutrition Program. This program was intended to provide nutritious food to underserved children, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when regular school meals were disrupted.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office recently announced the indictment of ten additional individuals, bringing the total number of defendants to 70. These latest indictments involve charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering, and bribery, highlighting the complex web of deceit spun by the accused to misappropriate federal funds. About half of the individuals charged in the Feeding Our Future fraud case have also received tens of millions of dollars in state contracts for services like child care and assistance to seniors and people with disabilities. It has been noted that among the 70 defendants, many attempted to flee their home countries, which are predominantly Islamic-controlled, as authorities closed in on them.

Michigan Muslims Take Biden Hostage to Save Hamas

While Israeli commandos rescued a 70-year-old man and 60-year-old man who were being held hostage in Gaza, Hamas supporters in America were taking an 81-year-old man hostage in D.C.

Hamas may be losing in Gaza, but it’s winning in Michigan.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is now the latest Michigan Muslim terror activist to urge Hamas supporters in the state to reject Biden in the primary by casting an “uncommitted” vote.

According to Rep. Tlaib, who became the only member of Congress to refuse to vote to condemn Hamas rapes of Jewish women, her goal is to “create a voting bloc” to stop Israel’s campaign to take down the Islamic terror group.

New York Appeals Court Allows Trump, Sons to Continue Running Business, Denies Request to Delay Payment

Trump and his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump were barred earlier this month from operating their business in New York for a range of two to three years. Now Nowhere in San Francisco is Safe From Crime — We’re the Proof, Say Shop Owners in ‘Quiet’ Areas

San Francisco’s crime spree has taken a new twist: it has exploded out of its shattered downtown into areas residents thought were still safe — despite its mayor claiming the city is beating the criminals.

Mayor Landon Breed touted declining crime numbers in January, saying in a statement that “our work around public safety is making a difference.”

But police statistics analyzed by The Post show that the city’s previously quieter residential areas are instead being hit hard with burglary — and shopkeepers in those areas told The Post they’re living on edge.

‘Our Country is at War’: ‘Blood Money’ Author Peter Schweizer Explains Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans

Soros-Backed Group Unleashes Behind-the-Scenes War on Gas-Powered Lawn Equipment, Trucks

A secretive nonprofit with financial backing from liberal billionaire George Soros and linked to the Biden administration is calling for the federal government to resurrect a 1970s law to crack down on gas-powered lawn equipment.

Governing for Impact (GFI), founded in 2019 to help craft and guide implementation of federal regulations, quietly issued a memo late last month alongside the left-leaning Center for Progressive Reform (CPR) calling for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to revive the 1972 Noise Control Act. Supreme Court Divided Over Federal Ban on Bump Stock Gun Accessory

The Supreme Court offered divided thoughts and a measure of confusion on Wednesday over whether the federal government can ban so-called bump stocks, a device that increases the firepower of automatic weapons.

The case, Garland v. Cargill, presents whether a “bump stock” device is a “machine gun” as defined by federal law because it is designed and intended for use in converting a rifle into a weapon that fires “automatically more than one shot… by a single function of the trigger.”

After a 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas that left 60 people dead and 500 more wounded, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) issued an interpretive rule concluding that “bump stocks” are machine guns.

The Trump administration initiated a ban on the devices — reversing earlier regulations — and President Biden’s Justice Department is now defending it in court.

Meta Launches Real-Time Content Censorship Unit for 2024 Elections

When Facebook (Meta) wants to safeguard its “right to censor,” the company presents itself as basically just another private company out there minding its own business.

Eric Adams Demands New York Walk Back ‘Sanctuary City’ Status So Criminals Can be Deported

During a town hall event on Monday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said that New York’s sanctuary city status does not provide the ability for officials to deport illegal immigrants and asylum seekers who are found guilty of criminal acts. Adams said there should be more options for lawmakers when it came to deporting illegal immigrants who commit crimes.

Under the current santuary system, local laws in the numerous sanctuary cities, counties, and states, including New York City, prevent local officers from working with federal immigration officials for the purpose of deportations. The city essentially protects illegal immigrants from federal authorities who may seek to deport them. This concept was reinforced during the Trump administration, when so many Democrat-led cities and states wanted to push back against his federal curbs to illegal immigration.

Man Stabbed at NYC Migrant Shelter Across the Street From Central Park; Person of Interest in Custody

A man was stabbed Wednesday at a migrant shelter across the street from Central Park in New York City, police said.

The New York Police Department responded to the shelter at 31 Central Park North just after 11:30 a.m. after a caller phoned 911 to report the stabbing.

Responding officers found a 24-year-old man who was stabbed in the back and stomach, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition, the NYPD told Fox News Digital.

A person of interest was taken into police custody. It was unclear what led to the stabbing.

The incident came a day after Mayor Eric Adams said the city would install metal detectors at a migrant shelter on Randall’s Island following multiple stabbings at that location.

Adams has also called on the Biden administration to grant migrants work papers and said he wants to make changes to New York’s sanctuary city law, which prevents local law enforcement from cooperating with immigration authorities.

“I don’t believe people who are violent in our city and commit repeated crimes should have the privilege of being in our city,” Adams said perviously. “You don’t have the right to be in our city and tarnish the overwhelming number who are here following the rules.”

Campos-Duffy said the migrants were “asking for Joe Biden to help us, to help us accomplish our dreams here, so we can get ahead.”

Outrage Over Maine Lavishing $34M on ‘Taj Mahal’ Apartments for Asylum Seekers and Welcoming 75,000 Newcomers This Decade While Leaving Veterans and Homeless Behind

Residents and GOP politicians are slamming Maine officials for lavishing millions of dollars on ‘Taj Mahal’ homes for asylum seekers while the state’s veterans and US-born homeless are struggling.

Republicans say the Democrat-run state has spent $34 million on shelters, hotels, and ‘luxury apartments’ for migrants, even as Maine Veterans’ Homes and other shelters for ex-servicemen face cash shortfalls.

Much of the anger is directed at the 24 one— and two-bedroom apartments in attractive, three-story clapboard blocks that were recently given rent-free to 60 migrant families on the edge of Brunswick.

The Irish Catholic bishops have voiced united opposition to a proposed amendment that would eliminate all references to motherhood in the Constitution.

The proposed amendment “diminishes the unique importance of the relationship between marriage and family in the eyes of Society and State and is likely to lead to a weakening of the incentive for young people to marry,” the bishops said in a February 25 statement.

Three Quarters of Transgender Prisoners Are Sex Offenders or Violent Criminals in Britain

Nearly three-quarters of all transgender prison inmates in Britain were convicted of sexual offences or other violent crimes, which campaigners say demonstrates the dangers of housing biological males in female prisons.

According to Ministry of Justice figures, 74 per cent of British transgender prisoners, or 181 out of 244, were convicted of sex offences including rape and child sexual assaults. The data, reported by The Telegraph, goes on to say that currently 144 biologically male transgender prisoners are being housed in male prisons in Britain compared to five being housed in female jails.

  3. Is a bump stock a machine-gun?

“The Supreme Court offered divided thoughts and a measure of CONFUSION on Wednesday over whether the federal government can ban so-called bump stocks (Garland v. Cargill).”

“Shortly after the Las Vegas mass shooting…Donald Trump…issued a memorandum directing ATF to move expeditiously on the rule making…This time, the agency rule concluded bump stocks fell within the definition of “machineguns.””
    https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/is-a-bump-stock-a-machinegun-the-u.s-supreme-court-takes-up-the-question

Sadly, this whole mess is Trump’s fault as he INSTRUCTED ATF to reclassify bump stocks as “machine guns” (after ATF (TWICE!!) looked and found them NOT to fit the definition of a “machine gun” under the National Firearm Act—”any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, BY A SINGLE FUNCTION OF THE TRIGGER”.
    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/5845

Having listened to the entirety of the Court proceedings, I can say that, as usual, most of the people making (the legislative branch) and testing (the judicial branch) US “gun control” laws know NOTHING about firearms; and I would consider their foundational understanding of existing firearm law as being, at best, upside-down (I’m being kind).

I can usually predict how the Court will rule in these types of cases, but, based on the truly V-A-S-T range of MISINFORMATION contained within the justices’ heads on this subject, I reckon their final decision(s) could go any which way.

    Russian Embassy on Telegram:

“Russia will take countermeasures of a political and military-technical nature”
    PUBLISHED YESTERDAY 0:30

The Russian Embassy reacts to the fact that Sweden is about to join NATO within hours or a few days. Swedish media in turn react to the reaction with strong emotions, as reflected in Aftonbladet and Expressen, among others.

NewsVoice reports what the Russian Embassy actually posted on Telegram.

“Comment by the Russian Embassy in Sweden in connection with the country’s imminent entry into NATO.

The powers-that-be in Stockholm and the Swedish media are not hiding their delight at the Hungarian Parliament’s long-awaited “yes” to Sweden’s application for membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.

Although a number of formalities remain to be completed before the Swedish flag will be raised at NATO headquarters in Brussels, it is clear that Sweden’s entry into NATO as its 32nd member is a fait accompli.

As rational Swedes, we cannot help but regret this development. We perceive as hardly flattering, not to say humiliating for Sweden, certain remarks in the Swedish “independent” mass media that the country, as if it were someone’s prodigal daughter, is “finally coming home” after having rediscovered the benchmark of its foreign and security policy in the form of the values formulated in the North Atlantic Treaty 75 years ago.

It is clear to us that the Swedes, accustomed to a peaceful life, would rather focus on the values of military non-alignment, formulated over 200 years ago by Napoleon’s Marshal Jean Baptiste Bernadotte, who was called to the Swedish throne and later became King Karl XIV Johan.

It should also be noted that the foundations of the European security order of the time were formulated through his close dialog with the Russian Emperor Alexander I.

It is no coincidence that these fundamental values of Swedish politics were zealously defended by such world-famous and respected Swedish statesmen as Per Albin Hansson, Tage Erlander, Olof Palme, Ingvar Carlsson and others.

It is very sad that today’s Swedish leaders who care so much about the image of Sweden abroad have torn down the foundation of the country’s national identity and authority in the international arena.

We believe that the Swedish political elite is in fact unsure whether this idea has the support of the majority of the Swedish population despite the results of the published opinion polls. If this is not the case, why were the Swedish authorities so afraid to give Swedish voters a democratic opportunity to express their views on this vital issue?

What lies behind this – political cowardice or Stockholm’s desire to flatter the “big brothers”, who certainly encourage this kind of sycophancy, and to “tease Russia” at all costs, including at the expense of the security and well-being of its people.

As for Russia’s attitude towards “a further addition to the NATO family”, we have repeatedly published our official position: it is Sweden’s sovereign concern to choose its security policy.

At the same time, the country’s entry into a military alliance hostile to Russia will have negative consequences for stability in Northern Europe and around the Baltic Sea, which remains our common area and will never become a “NATO hinterland” despite whatever Sweden’s future “NATO relatives” say in their self-righteous statements.

Russia will take countermeasures of a political and military-technical nature in order to minimize threats to its national security. Their concrete content will depend on the conditions and extent of Sweden’s integration into NATO including the possible deployment in this country of NATO troops, munitions and weapons.”

    • Come on Fred, nobody is 100% all the time ideological. So give ole Trump a break, I think he learned his lesson where everything weapon is concerned.

  5. I think Coulter’s spot-on here, explaining why Trump so often says such ‘toddler-like (i.e., mindlessly infantile) things (e.g., “I like to take the guns first, due process second”)..

The entire following video is highly recommended viewing, but I’ve queued the salient portion for those who don’t like Coulter..
“He’s [Trump] impulsive. He says things off the top of his head. He bears the impression of, like, a couch, bears the impression of the last person who sat on him. It’s just whoever gave him the last piece of advice, he goes out and says it, which is why it’s kind of important who he surrounds himself with.” —Ann Coulter

Why love of country is faltering in Sweden?

Love for the nation is not unconditional in the same way that love for one’s children is. If the requirements are not met, love will falter.

by Magnus Söderman / Free Sweden
    28 February 2024
    from Swedish by LN

It feels like the love of country is faltering in Sweden. Swedes don’t seem particularly interested in even trying to deal with things. Anti-Swedishness is accepted and the slowly creeping ethnic selfhate is ignored by many. You don’t want children. Abortions, however, are a woman’s right. Love for Sweden and its people has cooled. Why is that?

    Requirements for love of country
A father’s love for his child or children is present from day one and no matter what the children do, that love will remain for the rest of their lives. All other love is conditional, even though it may be strong. Anyone who has been unhappily in love with another person knows how the feeling remains, even if the person the love is directed at has perhaps even hurt you badly. But in the end, the feeling is gone because it is not reciprocated. Love must be reciprocated to stay alive. One-sided love withers and dies sooner or later.

Author Gustav von Schantz writes this about love of country in ancient Greece:

“It was there that one saw a nation of citizens, forming as it were a single family, all animated by an equal love, an equal ardent zeal for a common fatherland, all ready to risk everything, to sacrifice their very lives, for its independence and honour. But there were also powerful laws, justice zealously administered, customs without which no laws would fulfil their purpose, equality of citizens in rights and duties: in a word, there was everything that should attract the interest of the multitude to the State.”

The family – the people – the state, as a unit, as it should be.

    von Schantz writes further:

“Without a just and good government, which connects the interest of the subject with that of the superior, it would be vain to expect from the former a true affection for the latter, or from the latter a sincere determination to promote the aims of the former.”

This leads to the following statement:

“The experience of all ages has witnessed that only a person who feels happy in the country he inhabits, under the government and laws he obeys, can have a true love of country.”

No wonder there is a lack of love of country
With these wise words in mind, we can easily understand why so many people’s love for Sweden is fading. We Swedes serve under unworkable laws and incompetent politicians who obviously do not want us to fall. For decades they have filled Sweden with foreigners who have been put on a pedestal and called “the future of Sweden”. We have heard that they will “save welfare”.

Swedishness has been questioned, and in every place where our national pride could be challenged, it has been. Even the first Swedes were black Africans with blue eyes, according to SVTV. We have hardly been recognised as Sweden as our homeland.
So it is not surprising that Swedes no longer feel any love for their homeland.

    Fatherland or nation state?
I believe, however, that love of country can be awakened because it has no reason to be dead. What can and should be dead is the “love” for the nation-state as it has appeared.

The nation state of today is Sweden Inc., which distributes citizenship and welcomes strangers as “Sweden’s future”. It is the politicians, regime media and values. It is multiculturalism and simplicity. It bows the knee to globalism. But it is not the fatherland Sweden!

This is an important distinction to make. Especially for those of us who talk about a free Sweden. Free Sweden is the fatherland Sweden, the land of the past.

You know, the one we had in the good old days. Free Sweden is not a new invention, if anyone thought so. Free Sweden is the homeland, firmly rooted in the Swedish soil and as eternal as the bedrock on which our country rests.

If we manage to explain this to our people, I believe that love of country will grow strong again.

    • The times of the gentiles are coming to an end because loyalty to the nations will be poitless since the concept of “nations” has been stolen by unelected globalist bureaucrats as a sort of Potemkin Village – a screen that covers that unelected bureaucracy – but not “the people” themselves.

      • The gentiles will be around as long as this world exists. We will be around when you are no longer on this earth.

Nationalism will continue to exist because countries are sick and tired of their demented liberal leaders.

Conservative governments are flourishing all over the world despite the New World Odor.
