Rand Paul on Spending Bill: “It is About Damn Time to Pay for Something Around Here”

Senator Rand Paul slammed Mitch McConnell Tuesday, noting that the Senate Minority leader is supporting Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer by adopting a “kitchen sink” approach to spending, instead of stripping funding from Biden’s bloated Inflation Reduction Act.

Appearing on Fox Business, Paul expressed support for the new House Speaker Mike Johnson’s move to pass a standalone bill for $14.5 billion in aid to Israel funded entirely by stripping provisions that would beef up the IRS.

Bill Gates About to ‘Unleash Mass Casualty Event,’ Experts Warn

Leading experts are warning the public that Bill Gates’s latest scheme to vaccinate tens of millions of young people will have devastating consequences.

Gates is funding a campaign to inject over 80 million young girls with the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

The scheme is being funded by two of the Microsoft co-founder’s organizations — the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

While announcing more than $600 million in investment in the campaign, Gavi said the initiative will avert “over 1.4 million future deaths.”

Gavi claims that the $600M from Gates’s organizations will help to reach its goal of vaccinating 86 million girls in “low— and middle-income countries” by 2025.

As we’ve seen before from Gates-funded projects, targeting people in “low— and middle-income countries” usually refers to the impoverished citizens of third-world nations being used as guinea pigs ahead of a global rollout of the plan.

The Gates Foundation co-founded Gavi and is one of its four permanent board members.

UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund), the World Bank, and the World Health Organization (WHO) — whose second-largest donor is Gates — hold the other permanent seats.

Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Clinton Health Access Initiative also sits on the board.

James Lyons-Weiler, Ph.D., a critic of the global HPV vaccine campaign, suggested mass vaccination will cause a devastating number of serious side effects among young girls.

California’s Governor Newsom Introduces “Cradle to Career” System That Tracks One Billion Data Points on Citizens

For anyone who’s paid even a little attention to the political goings-on (and fiascos of varied kinds) in California’s political landscape these last years — the mere fact that the state’s governor is still one Gavin Newsom is a story worth telling, all in and of itself.

But, since Newsom is still there, he seems to be determined to make “the best” of his controversial, to say the least, time in office. And this thing is quite something — apparently inspired by a trip to China, and, apparently, focused on bringing some version of the feared and loathed (among freedom-lovers) “social credit system” to his, otherwise, Golden State.

Effort to Ban Trump From Minnesota Primary Ballot Shot Down by State’s Supreme Court

The Minnesota Supreme Court announced Wednesday that it has dismissed a lawsuit and will allow former President Donald Trump to stay on the primary ballot.

The court dismissed the lawsuit which it stated was seeking an end to Trump’s candidacy under a rarely-used constitutional provision that forbids those who “engaged in insurrection” from holding office.

With this ruling, the Minnesota Supreme Court has refused to become the first in history to use Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to prevent someone from running for the presidency.

Officers Prevented ‘Potential Mass Shooting’ in Downtown Boone, Chief Says

BOONE, N.C. — The chief of the Boone Police Department is thanking his officers for “preventing a potential mass shooting” in downtown Boone.

Around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, someone called 911 to report that a man was flashing a gun outside of Boone Saloon on West King Street. It’s right across from the campus of Appalachian State University.

When officers arrived, they found a man who was wearing a tactical vest and carrying a shotgun, police said.

Police were able to take him into custody.

Through an investigation, police discovered the suspect, 59-year-old Peter Modiene Gabaree of Lenoir, had been inside Boone Saloon earlier and had been asked to leave. Once he got outside, police believe he went to his car to put on the vest. They said he also grabbed a shotgun, a handgun, and ammo for both guns.

People passing by at the time were the ones who called 911, investigators said.

“I would like to commend our officers for their quick actions and preventing a potential mass shooting here in Boone,” Boone Police Chief Andy Le Beau said. “This was obviously a dangerous situation. We are grateful to the citizen who saw this suspicious activity and called us. Our officers interrupted a man who had put on a ballistic vest and was loading weapons in his car. I am thankful to Sergeant Scott Mackler and his patrol shift for their courage in confronting and taking into custody this armed individual to safeguard our community.”

Bulgaria Enforces Punitive Transit Fees on All Natural Gas Unless it’s Proven Not to Come From Russia

Bulgaria is enforcing a punitive transit fee, known as its “energy contribution fee,” on all natural gas transfers from Russia in a move likely to hit Central and Eastern European countries the hardest, Hungarian business newspaper Vilaggazdasag reported on Tuesday.

Sofia has begun collecting the charge of 20 leva (€10) for every megawatt-hour of Russian natural gas passing through its territory. The extra charge is a quarter of the price of the gas itself and hits Hungary hard: most of the gas from Russia enters Hungary via Bulgaria.

In the case of gas destined for the Hungarian market, the extra bill is paid by Gazprom because the Russian company bears the costs until the gas reaches Kiskundorozsma.

Dutch Elections: Support for Right-Wing Coalition High Among Voters

A near-majority of Dutch voters would prefer a conservative coalition government that includes Geert Wilders’ eurosceptic PVV, according to a survey of 25,000 voters by EenVandaag.

The survey comes as the nation, faced with several crises (among which mass migration, housing, the cost of living, and the nitrogen reduction crisis) is gearing up for snap parliamentary elections on November 22nd, which predict—if current polling trends are to be believed—a shaking up for the Dutch political landscape.

German Police Resort to Giving Civilians Tips on How to Handle Knife Attacks

Authorities in Germany have published guidelines for how civilians should respond should they come face to face with an attacker armed with a knife.

Suggestions on how to act were issued by a police spokesperson to the German newspaper, Schwäbische Zeitung, after a recent incident where a woman and her child were confronted by a man wielding a blade in the town of Bad Waldsee, Baden-Württemberg.

The mother bravely kicked her attacker in the shin and fled carrying her child; both escaped harm. However, police were asked whether this was the right approach, and if not, what civilians should do in such a situation.

Hungary Pours Cold Water on ‘Absurd’ Ukraine EU Accession Talks After Brussels Gives Green Light

The European Commission’s announcement that it is prepared to move forward with accession talks for Ukraine is “absurd” and the EU’s enlargement policy should “serve to expand peace and not to bring war” into the bloc, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjartó has said.

Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told a press conference on Wednesday that Kyiv had completed “well over 90 percent of the necessary steps” required for preparatory membership talks to begin and recommended these discussions begin immediately after a summit of EU leaders in Brussels on Dec. 14.

Responding to the announcement, Szijjartó insisted Hungary was adamant that until there is peace in Ukraine the country should not be eligible for EU membership.

More Pro-Palestinian Protests Took Place in Germany Than in Support of Israel

The number of pro-Palestinian demonstrations over the past month in Germany has exceeded the number of actions in support of Israel, Bild writes.

German Interior Minister Nancy Feather reported that since October 7, when the terrorist group Hamas invaded Israel, 450 public actions in support of Palestine have taken place in Germany. At the same time, there have been fewer pro-Israel rallies — 413.

Some rallies in support of Palestine that took place in the German capital ended in clashes between protesters and police.

Many German politicians sharply criticized the demonstrations in Berlin, whose participants cheered the attack of Hamas militants on Israel. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, for his part, announced a ban on supporting the activities of the Hamas terrorist organization.

Pro-Censorship EU Chief Tells TikTok to “Spare No Effort” in Censoring “Disinformation”

Monday saw the European Union take a firm stance towards the dissemination of alleged “disinformation” on TikTok, with one senior official taking to the media to make a pointed demand. Thierry Breton, member of the European Commission, specifically ordered Kevin Mayer, TikTok’s new Chief Executive Officer, to “spare no effort” in combating misleading content. The statement opens up an important conversation about larger societal issues, namely censorship and the freedom of speech.

Any call for censorship, even in the quest of tackling disinformation, is an affront to the ideas of free speech, with politicians increasingly wanting to be the arbiter of truth.

UK: King’s Speech Confirms the Tories Are Still Greens

The King’s Speech was not nearly as groundbreaking as many are suggesting—especially with regards to ‘net zero.’

This ceremonial address saw the monarch, dressed in full regalia, read a speech written by the government, setting out its main objectives over the next parliamentary term. Much like his Tory conference speech, Rishi Sunak used the speech to characterise his as the administration of change.

Many newspaper headlines in recent months have bolstered this impression, particularly on the issue of crime. There has been much talk about the Tory pledge to be more “tough” on lawbreaking, which was further—albeit briefly—alluded to in today’s speech, but little on ongoing actions which point in the opposite direction.

UK: Researchers Try Doomsday Images to Scare Meat Eaters

Following the example of cigarette packs, a new study by British researchers argues that graphic warning labels on meat products could successfully nudge meat-lovers towards reconsidering their dietary choices. With apocalyptic images reminiscent of war zones or forest fires, the researchers claim, Brits could be convinced to cut their meat consumption to the levels desired by climate change activist groups and instead get their protein from other, more so called ‘sustainable’ sources, among which, one suspects, insects.

“As warning labels have already been shown to reduce smoking as well as drinking of sugary drinks and alcohol, using a warning label on meat-containing products could help us achieve this if introduced as national policy,” said Jack Hughes, lead author of the study, which suggests this “could improve public health and reduce the UK’s carbon footprint,” revealing its ideological signature.

The conclusion of the report, which (rather ironically) appeared in the academic journal Appetite, was based on an experiment, conducted by a Durham University team, in which 1,001 meat-eating adults participated.

The New Government of Serbia Has Blocked the Delivery of Another Package of Military Aid to Ukraine

The new government of Slovakia has blocked the delivery of another package of military aid to Ukraine worth 40.3 million euros, according to Aktuality.sk.

The previous government had planned to send the fourteenth package of military aid, which would have included ammunition, 140 rockets, mines and mortars. The military assistance was supposed to consist of four million rounds of 7.62mm caliber ammunition, 5172 rounds of large-caliber ammunition for 125mm caliber guns, 140 rockets for the “Kub” air defense system, eight mortars and 1200 mines. However, the new government led by Prime Minister Fico has blocked this proposal.

Israel Says ‘No Limitations’ to Length of Gaza Offensive

Israel’s military offensive in Gaza has no time limits to achieve the objective of destroying Hamas, according to a top member of the country’s war cabinet.

“There are no limitations,” Benny Gantz, a former general and opposition leader who joined an emergency government in the wake of the deadly assault on Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, told reporters Wednesday. “The war here is for our existence and for Zionism, and so I can’t provide an estimate of the length of each stage in the war.”

Israeli troops have entered the heart of Gaza’s main city as they battle to dislodge Hamas, which is holed up in a secret network of tunnels in the Mediterranean enclave. The campaign has come under escalating international criticism due to the extent of civilian fatalities, with more than 10,000 Palestinians killed so far in the Israeli bombardment, according to the Hamas-run health authority. Humanitarian conditions inside Gaza are dire and getting worse.

Palestinian President Reportedly Survives Assassination Attempt After Receiving 24-Hour Ultimatum for ‘Full Confrontation’ With Israel

The Palestinian Authority claims that the President was in the presence of gunfire by coincidence

A shooting in the West Bank was initially reported Tuesday as an assassination attempt against Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas before being blamed on an unrelated gunfight.

A group called the “Children of Abu Jandel” claimed responsibility for a purported attack on Abbas’ convoy after giving him a 24-hour ultimatum to take action against Israel, Turkey’s Hurriyet newspaper said.

The demand reportedly came after Abbas met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Sunday to discuss the plight of Palestinians in Gaza amid Israel’s refusal to pause military strikes there following the Oct. 7 surprise attacks by the Hamas terror group.

In its statement, the group told Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, “to produce a clear position, announcing full confrontation with the occupation, using all means, and to denounce statements made by the criminal Blinken,” according to the Irish Sun.

One person was killed during the West Bank shooting, Hurriyet said, adding that the victim was believed to be an Abbas bodyguard.

The Influx of Refugees Into Greece Has Slowed by 42%

According to the Greek government, the number of migrants arriving in the country in October 2023 decreased by 42.06% compared to the previous month. A total of 6,581 migrants arrived in Greece in October, which is 4,889 fewer than in September, as reported by InfoMigrants.

This decline was partly reflected in the number of residents living in closed refugee camps. Thus, the number of residents of a closed, managed reception center in the Karatepe region of Lesbos fell from 5,000 people at the end of September to 4,100 people at the beginning of November.

Canadian Nurse Forced to Testify Under Cross Examination That Women Don’t Have Penises

On Monday Amy Hamm, the BC nurse, women’s rights advocate, and mother of two, entered Day 19 of her disciplinary hearing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) over her acknowledgment that only two genders exist.

“I’ve testified under oath, in Canada, in 2023, that women don’t have penises; lesbians also do not have penises; males are never lesbians despite their gender identity claims—they are heterosexual men; that human sex is immutable and never ‘assigned’ at birth. It just is. You’re a male or a female,” Hamm told The Post Millennial.

Glamour Ignites Controversy by Naming Transgender Model One of Its ‘Women of the Year’

Glamour Magazine ignited controversy after naming transgender model Geena Rocero one of its “Women of the Year” last week, naming the model among a group of those meant to “honor [their] favorite feminist heroes and game-changers in their field.”

“Say hello to @GeenaRocero, one of Glamour’s 2023 Women of the Year. Model, activist, producer, and author, Rocero is a force to be reckoned with— and she’s just getting started,” the magazine wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, last Wednesday, and included a photo of the model with the post.

Critics on the platform were quick to lambast the decision, with one branding it as “regressive” and many characterizing it as a way of diminishing womanhood to an outward appearance.

Leader of the Polish Left Party Admits That Abortion Law Won’t Change

The leader of Poland’s Left party has told commercial radio RMF FM that his party will have to have greater representation in the Polish parliament for progress to be made on the liberalization of abortion legislation.

Wlodzimierz Czarzasty revealed that abortion reform will not be a part of the coalition agreement between the parties that now have a majority in parliament because the centrist Poland 2050 and the Polish People’s Party (PSL) have refused to back any such changes.

Czarzasty said that his party supported abortion on demand until the 12th week of pregnancy, but it was clear that not all members of the new ruling coalition would endorse such a proposal. “For a majority to be secured in parliament, the Left will have to increase its representation at the next election,” Czarzasty concluded.

Pro-Life Activist Mark Houck Files Lawsuit Against Biden DOJ Over Arrest

A Catholic activist is suing the Justice Department after federal authorities arrested him in his home over a previous altercation outside a Planned Parenthood.

Pro-life activist Mark Houck filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department on Wednesday, seeking restitution for what it called “a faulty investigation” and “excessive force” after a SWAT team of around 25 people arrested him in front of his children.

“These government agents intentionally sought to assault Mr. Houck and deprive him of his Fourth Amendment rights by using excessive force to arrest him on non-violent charges when he had not threatened law enforcement, did not own a gun, and had offered to turn himself into authorities if indicted,” the lawsuit, filed by law firm Graves Garrett LLC, read.

World War III is Here and We’re Losing It

by Daniel Greenfield

World War III is everywhere and nowhere. Politicians and pundits predict it and warn about it as they’ve been doing for 70 years. And for all of that time we’ve been fighting World War III.

Is WWIII in Iran or Ukraine? Yes in its own way. Is it in the confrontations in the South China Sea, the Hamas attack on Israel or in the riots in the streets of our own cities? Also all yes. Not to mention cartels smuggling drugs and foreign influence operations being run in D.C.

And it’s in a thousand other incidents and crises, some that make the news and some that don’t, but that are all around us and others which have long become part of our history. It’s all WWIII.

“I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones,” Einstein was quoted as saying. But Albert was as good at physics as he was bad at politics and he had it the wrong way around. It’s WWIII that’s fought with stones…

  1. The way to deal with a knife attack is to pull out your .44 magnum and send all of the f#####s neurons to hel

  2. If anyone here is using Telegram… there is a picture in this message I can’t share by direct link:

    https://t.me/neuesausrussland/16858?single

The message is in German, translated from Russian. It shows the title image of a magazine from 1981 with a caricature of Israel and Ukraine (anthropomorphized) together pulling a carriage with an ice figure riding on it cracking the whip on them, and “cold war” written on it. The author of this is claimed to be none other than Vladimir Zelensky.

I can read basic Russian but can’t detect this on the image. There is also a video attached with a talk, unfortunately it’s beyond my capabilities to understand without a transcript. But I wonder how meaningful this detail might be if it could be verified.

    • Do you know what’s the funniest thing?
This magazine is not in Russian, but in Ukrainian.
In the USSR, the satirical magazine “Crocodile” was published in Russian, and “Pepper” was published in Ukrainian.
The cartoon depicts a resident of Western Ukraine, which the Soviets annexed in 1939. In the USSR they were called “Bandera”. After the collapse of the USSR, it was this category that, having made its way into power, broke the mentality of the Ukrainians, who lived peacefully with the Russians for centuries.

The cart has “Cold War” and “anti-Sovietism” written on it in Ukrainian.
The antennas say “Voice of America” and “Radio Liberty”.
Signature under the cartoon “In one harness” and some kind of satirical poem.

In fact, the cartoonist’s name is Valery Zelensky. Hm. And he seems to be of the same origin as the current president of Ukraine.
      https://art.lib.kherson.ua/ru-svoboda-smihu-do-90-richchya-ukrainskogo-karikaturista-valeriya-zelinskogo.htm

  3. I looked carefully. The cartoonist’s surname is Zelinsky. One letter differs from Zelensky.
In the previous letter, I posted the link without looking, and now, having read the text, I want to note one funny point.
Cartoonist Zelinsky ridiculed Bandera nationalists from Western Ukraine. And in the text of 2020 – in the city of Kherson, in which the Russian and Russian-speaking population predominantly lives, the text writes that the birthplace of caricatures is Western Ukraine, where caricatures were drawn in the traditions of European satire.

    • Interesting, thank you very much for the information. How frequent is the surname “Zelensky”? If it’s a rather common name, then it’s probably easy to mix up. The Telegram channel where I found this is very good for information from inside the Donbass, but is inevitably biased and might be prone to believing things too easily which are outside of their realm, but would be satisfying if true. Actually they should be capable of detecting the difference you mentioned, “Valery” instead of the other one. Also, I don’t know how old Zelensky is now but assume 1981 would have been a bit too early in his life to achieve such a publication. Although his former role as actor, clown and humorist might make it plausible otherwise. So the story seems rather doubtful. Would you agree?

      • Of course, the story looks far-fetched.
I have no idea how common the surname Zelensky or Zelinsky is in Ukraine. Perhaps we should look at their telephone directories.

But if you look at the register of private entrepreneurs in Russia, the surname Zelensky appears quite often. And this is not the Russian ending for the surname. Therefore, I conclude that this surname is very common in Ukraine.
