Could AI Chatbots Become a Bioweapon?

A recent report has found that large language models (LLMs) can give effective advice on how to conceal the true purpose of the purchase of anthrax, smallpox and plague bacteria.

According to research by a US think tank, the artificial intelligence (AI) models underpinning chatbots could help plan an attack with a biological weapon.

AI’s Role in Biological Attack Planning

On Monday, a report by the Rand Corporation revealed that its findings, achieved by testing several LLMs, demonstrated that LLMs could supply guidance that “could assist in the planning and execution of a biological attack”.

However, the preliminary findings also showed that the LLMs did not generate explicit biological instructions for creating weapons.

Schiff, Porter Urged to Drop Out of California Senate Race Because They’re White in Name of ‘Genuine Equality’

White Democrats must drop out of California’s Senate race, or they aren’t actually committed to diversity, a guest essay in the Washington Post argued.

Democratic Reps. Katie Porter and Adam Schiff have already thrown their hat in the ring in the Senate race to fill the late U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s seat. But author and podcast host Steve Phillips urged them to step aside and allow U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif. a Black woman, to take the lead instead, to prove they “care about diversity.”

“Time and again it has been shown that Black women are the heart and soul of the Democratic Party. Democrats across the country agree that Black women are badly underrepresented in our nation’s leadership. Schiff and Porter are White; Lee is a Black woman. The right course is clear, isn’t it?” he wrote in his opinion column.

Bulgarian Transit Tax Endangers Region’s Energy Security

Central European and Balkan countries, especially Hungary and Serbia, are outraged at a recent Bulgarian decision to introduce an absurdly high transit fee on Russian gas transported through the country, saying that it could have detrimental effects on the region’s energy security, Euractiv reported on Monday, October 16th.

France: An Afternoon With Michel Houellebecq

When we finally met, we spent a solid five hours together on the terrace of Brasserie Le Coche. Half of Germans Support AfD’s Participation in Government

While every party represented in the Bundestag has so far ruled out governing with the AfD—and as some members inside the ‘center-right’ CDU plot to have the right-wing, anti-globalist party banned outright—nearly half of the German population supports the party participating in government, a new opinion poll suggests.

At the same time, 47% were opposed to the idea, while the remaining 6% were indifferent to the prospect of the AfD entering into government.

Poland: Tusk Government Could be Coalition of Chaos

Opposition parties will most likely form a new government in Poland, according to the official election results announced on Tuesday, October 17th. However, the contender for the prime minister’s job, Donald Tusk, will have an extremely difficult time cobbling together and then maintaining the stability of an ideologically diverse government that will consist of more than a dozen parties.

Although the Law and Justice-led (PiS) conservative-nationalist United Right—in government since 2015—is still the strongest political alliance in Poland and won 35.4% of the votes in Sunday’s parliamentary elections, it lost more than forty seats in the 460-member Sejm, the lower house of parliament. With its current batch of 194 seats, it is unable to form a government on its own or gain a majority with its potential coalition partner, the right-wing eurosceptic-libertarian Konfederacja (18 seats). As the PiS-critical daily Rzeczpospolita points out, the party still has huge support, which has not fallen below 30% for the past eight years, “a phenomenon that cannot be underestimated and a result that no other party has achieved since 1989.”

The Horned Iceball: Giant Comet Hurtling Towards Earth

Scientists have reported that a colossal “horned” comet, known as 12P/Pons-Brooks, three times larger than Mount Everest, has exploded and is now hurtling towards Earth. The explosion occurred on October 5th, originating from a cryovolcanic comet. This comet, measuring a monumental 18.6 miles in diameter, is equivalent to the size of a small city. To put it into perspective, Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on Earth, stands at 29,029 feet, or roughly 5.5 miles high.

This recent explosion marks the second eruption of this interstellar ice cube in the past four months, with the previous event occurring in July. The 12P comet caught the attention of the British Astronomical Association when it appeared much brighter due to the reflection of light from its coma — the gas cloud surrounding its core.

According to Richard Miles of the British Astronomical Association, the comet’s “horns” may be a result of the peculiarly-shaped cryovolcanic vent and a blockage causing material to be expelled in a strange flow pattern. These eruptions happen when a significant amount of gas and ice accumulates and combusts, causing cracks in the nucleus crust and the frozen interior to burst out. In this case, the arctic blast caused the formation of “horns” resembling those of an intergalactic Beelzebub or the Millennium Falcon from “Star Wars.”

UK Terror Threat Level ‘Highly Likely’ to be Raised by Israel-Hamas War

Speaking to LBC, Chris Phillips, who also served as a Detective Chief Inspector in the Metropolitan Police, outlined the impact that events in the Middle East, teamed with recent acts of terror in Belgium and France, are likely to have on MI5’s assessment of the likelihood of an attack in the UK.

Phillips explained how the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), which operates within MI5, takes account of these factors when designating the UK’s Terror Threat: “Events such as we’ve seen in Israel and Gaza are a key part of that [analysis], simply because it impacts on people within the UK. Overseas events… can encourage some people, some extreme people to commit acts of terrorism or or certainly get close to it — and that’s what JTAC are looking at.

Grim Questions

by Diana West

The Kibbutzim/Concert Massacres of October 7 are not an October Surprise but an October Shock Wave — a continuous stream of shock waves that have reset the world. Suddenly — but before the body parts of 1,350 innocents slaughtered in Israel by Hamas terrorists could be gathered by ZAKA — our streets and campuses and internet platforms were flooded with rivers of Jew Hatred masquerading as a historical debate over the very existence of the modern state of Israel, now 75 years old. Suddenly, the 1973 Yom Kippur War was back. Suddenly, the Palestinian “nation,” which never was, was back, too. So was “devilry” of “Zionism” — not that it ever went away. Suddenly, no other disaster, no other crime has the same weight, the same right to exist, if you will, anymore. Bravo, controllers behind the curtain. It is as if the people of the world have been reimagined as pulsating ganglia, emitting cries of “Stand with Israel” or “Israelis Are War Criminals”; “Kill Hamas” or “I’ll Never Support Israel Again.” We are all of us nearly completely fried from having Hamas’s video trophies of murder and blood burned into our brains, and are thus unable to see what is really happening. As usual, you might say, only worse.

What I can’t move from is the origin, the trigger of this fresh, paralyzing madness. I am unable to move from the unexamined and unexplained failure of the Israeli government to protect Israeli citizenry from an extremely well-prepared force of 2,000 Hamas terrorists that crossed Israel’s border fence with Gaza and operated freely across 30 square miles of Israeli territory for six, eight, and even twenty hours. I am left with terrible questions about the ultimate responsibility for the lives lost, the lives shattered, and the sanctity and the way of life that these killers from Hamas have destroyed forever.

As I explore this uneasiness, I am even willing to accept, temporarily, for the sake of argument, the ridiculous explanation for Hamas’s complex series of breaches of all Israeli defenses: the so-called “intelligence failure.” Like magic words, the phrase is supposed to make all questions disappear. OK. I’m not buying, but OK. Let’s turn our faculties of curiosity and reason onto the even more shocking unexamined and unexplained failure of the Israeli government to deploy the Israeli military to defend Israeli towns and cities under prolonged assault by a veritable terrorist army…

Hundreds Killed in Explosion at a Crowded Gaza Hospital

Palestinian health officials say hundreds of people have been killed in an explosion at a crowded Gaza hospital. The cause of the explosion has not yet been confirmed, with Palestinian authorities accusing Israel and Israel saying a Palestinian militant group was responsible.

It comes as Israel and Hamas trade airstrikes and rocket fire and mediators press for an agreement to allow aid to enter the Gaza Strip and refugees with foreign passports out of the enclave.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the organization “strongly condemns the attack on Al Ahili Arab Hospital in north Gaza. Early reports indicate hundreds of deaths and injuries. We call for the immediate protection of civilians and health care, and for the evacuation orders to be reversed.”

Hundreds Killed in Blast at Gaza Strip Hospital; Israel Says Islamic Jihad’s ‘Failed Rocket Launch’ to Blame

When asked earlier in the day, the IDF said it was investigating the source of the explosion, noting that the hospital is a “highly sensitive building” and is “not an IDF target.”

India: 13-Year-Old ‘Raped’ for Several Months in Bihar’s Saharsa, Finger at Madrasa Teacher

Making the incident more abominable, a panchayat called by the accused tried to stop the victim and her family from approaching police by offering Rs 10,000 as hush money.

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped for several months by a teacher in a madrasa (school) in Saharsa town of Bihar and she had to undergo an abortion.

The police have arrested the main accused Muhammad Imtiyaz and were in the process of forwarding him to jail on Tuesday.

The girl stays with her maternal grandparents while her parents work as domestic help and labourers in Delhi.

“The teacher was doing bad things with me for the last three months. He threatened to kill me if I told anything to anyone. I started having a stomach ache and my nani (maternal grandmother) took me to a hospital,” the girl told reporters.

At the hospital in Saharsa, the doctors found that she had become pregnant, but the foetus had died leading to complications. They operated her to surgically remove it.

The girl’s mother came from Delhi after getting to know about her condition and decided to approach the police, but the accused teacher called a panchayat and offered Rs 10,000 to the family to keep quiet.

However, on October 8, the family registered an FIR against the teacher and seven others who were present in the panchayat. The victim is still in the hospital.

Germany: Spending on Migrants in Hamburg to Exceed €1 Billion This Year as Costs Spiral

Germany is spending a fortune every single day to cope with its massive and growing immigrant population, and in individual cities like Hamburg, those costs are becoming unbearable.

This hardly covers all the costs for migrants either, with schooling, daycare centers, and healthcare all not factored into that €1 billion figure. The state alleges that the amount being spent on schooling cannot be calculated either.

If the European Union cannot control its external border and deport those not eligible to remain then the principle of free movement of people must be scrapped, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said on Tuesday.

Responding to the murder of two Swedish nationals who were shot dead in an Islamist terror attack in central Brussels on Monday evening, Kristersson expressed his anger that the perpetrator had been free to roam Europe when he was known to have been radicalized.

“It was not okay that the perpetrator was at large even though they knew he had been radicalized,” told a press conference in Stockholm.

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) has called on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to begin deporting foreign nationals who express support for Hamas and the terrorist group’s attacks on Israel.

On Monday, Cotton sent a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, calling for deportations of pro-Hamas individuals, including those in the country on student visas.

Cotton is demanding that the department takes immediate action to remove the pro-Hamas foreign nationals who have “no place” in America.

WEF’s ‘Carbon Passports’ Restrict Public Travel to Fight ‘Global Warming’

A new push is emerging from the World Economic Forum (WEF) that seeks to fight “global warming” by placing travel restrictions on the public.

Climate alarmists are pushing a new technology in the form of digital “carbon passports.”

Much like the digital IDs pushed by unelected globalist organizations such as the WEF, “carbon passports” will track individuals’ movements and use the information to set limits on their travel.

  1. Harvard will just get foreign money to replace domestic and potentially be worse. Not in foreign government influenced donors to instill commonsense and patriotism in the west.

  2. A police officer was raped in Paris
How is it possible this women to be police and know nothing about karate
The fight with the knife and have some protection for Christ sake
For me this is beyond belief
    [redacted]

    • She is British so presumably off duty, but again, why alone at midnight in the city? Do these people not even read the media? Or maybe just the msm…

  3. Having looked at pictures of the scene in the hospital car park, where it looks as if a few cars burnt out, I would doubt that anyone was killed there. Perhaps a few at most.

The idea that 500 people died is ludicrous. A bomb never kills that many people. If it had, there would have been bodies and body parts everywhere, but we are meant to believe Hamas had cleaned everything up the next morning, with not a drop of blood to be seen? Total BS.

In 1940 the Luftwaffe bombed Coventry all night and virtually destroyed the city. They killed about 600 people. One bomb kills 500? I don’t think so. Hamas would not be shy about showing us the bodies, if there were any.

  4. If the female officer was carrying off duty it could be a different story. When a much larger stronger man armed with a knife attacks an unarmed women if she uses karate it could just insure she will get killed. If anyone gets caught by surprise by a knife attack the odds of you getting mortal wound are high. Life is not the movies very few people have the very high level of training to battle a knife wheeling manic if they are “unarmed” ,and even with great training the odds greatly favor the guy with the knife. There are cases when someone with a knife is within three feet attacks armed police still stabs them many times before the police can even get his gun out of his holster. The knife wheeling idiot is shot and killed the bullet proof vest saves the officers life.

  5. Since 9/11, many of us non-hyphenated “white supremacists” have been warning our ‘toddler rulers against permitting ANY of this [excrement] into our respective (and previously clean, sane and safe) nations. Few listened; and most not only permitted, but eagerly encouraged more and more and more [excrement] with promises of safety and (taxpayers’) money.

I wonder what happens when our collectivist mommies force us to take bad medicine, for bad reasons, from bad people and then lie to us as the [excrement] brew begins to take its toll?

  6. Sorry, Baron, but that report was untrue. The explosion was a Palestinian missle that went awry and hit the parking lot of the hospital.

There were no people killed not even five.

    • Yes, I know. I mentioned what the IDF said (“the result of a rocket fired by Palestinian Islamic Jihad that went astray”), which by the next day was confirmed by multiple forms of evidence.

      • What multiple forms of evidence? So far, I’ve only seen reports of Israeli officials claiming such, plus some murky video cited by same of missile tracks in the night sky proving nothing relevant.

        • I am also still waiting for the definite footage that shows what is true. However, the other side claiming it was an Israeli airstrike has zero evidence at all. The only thing they’ve got is the usual spontaneous outrage. At this point I am half expecting that within days we will see two versions of satellite imagery, both looking credible. It just takes a little time to fabricate even with the latest AI tools.

          • There were some burnt out cars in the hospital car park. There was a crater a few inches deep. This was not hit by an Israeli bomb, which would have left a huge crater and tossed the cars hundreds of yards.

I have no doubt at all this damage was caused by burning fuel from a malfunctioning rocket, and the idea that it killed 500 people is absolute fantasy.

          • People say “there was no big crater” or “there was only a small crater” etc. but for the life of me, I can’t see anything from the available photographs clearly enough to be so goshdarned certain. And it’s amusing how many Experts crawl out of the woodwork on social media who know everything about military maneuvers, military munitions, battle zones, weapons — and a thousand other details. When the Pelosis’ house was famously broken into last year, all these Experts popped up who know with Absolute Certitude that “glass doesn’t shatter that way when you hit it from the outside” etc. I only wish I had such amazing knowledge about everything.

  7. Dear Baron , it has since been totally debunked that there was an Israeli Joliet on a hospital in Gaza. Israelis do not do that for one, they have modern laxer guided missiles to take out terrorists.
    This has been proven to be an Islamic jihad missile fired from Gaza to Israel that fell short and onto the car park of said hospital. The residual fuel burned the cars. There is no crater nothing and the fragments are not from Israeli missiles. Here a German guy debunks this Big Lie;
