The Kiel Institute for Economics (IfW) has revised its economic outlook, projecting a more substantial economic downturn than previously anticipated. Furthermore, the IfW has adjusted its 2024 forecast downward. While the research institute still anticipates the end of the recession next year, they have lowered their growth projection by half a percentage point to 1.3 percent.

“That Simply Doesn’t Make Sense”: Lead Author of Cochrane Mask Review Responds to Fauci’s Dismissal of Evidence

Authored by Maryanne Demasi via Substack

Former chief medical advisor to the US President Anthony Fauci was questioned over the weekend by CNN reporter Michael Smerconish, about face masks being able to curb the spread of covid-19.

“There’s no doubt that masks work,” said Fauci.

“Different studies give different percentages of advantage of wearing it, but there’s no doubt that the weight of the studies … indicate the benefit of wearing masks,” he added.

Smerconish brought up the 2023 Cochrane review which found no evidence that physical interventions like face masks could stop viral transmission in the community and cited my interview with lead author of the study Tom Jefferson who confirmed, “There is just no evidence that they [masks] make any difference. Full stop.”

Explosion Destroys Oneida Home After Stolen Vehicle Crashes Into It

ONEIDA — A house in Madison County was destroyed by a gas explosion early Saturday after a vehicle crashed into it, breaking off the gas meter at the house.

There is almost nothing left standing of the home on West Elm Street in Oneida. No one was injured.

Pieces of the house were blown into yards on either side of the home and across the street. Some debris landed on the roof of a house across the street.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, a stolen small SUV crashed into the home between North Willow and Fitch streets, fire and police officials said.

Oneida Fire Chief Scott Jones said the broken gas line could not be turned off due to where the break happened so National Grid crews were called. The first crew that arrived couldn’t turn off the gas so a second crew was dispatched.

At about 6 a.m., something sparked the gas that had gathered in the home setting off the massive explosion, Jones said.

No one was injured because the home and six others had been evacuated shortly after 3 a.m. when fire officials determined they couldn’t immediately turn off the gas.

Seven households have been displaced, Jones said.

Ottawa Removing Graphic Jaywalking Ad Due to ‘Jaywalking Terminology’, Staff Say

The city of Ottawa has pulled jaywalking advertisements from its test ads for an upcoming road safety campaign this fall, after councillors and the public criticized the graphic nature of the ad and its messaging.

One of the ads featured an image of a bloodied pedestrian lying on the ground, with the caption, “You jaywalked to save time. But you lost it. Forever. Cross only where it is safe.”

Several councillors called on the city of Ottawa to remove the ad immediately, with Coun. Sean Devine expressing concern with “the ad and the messaging it conveys.”

Coun. Ariel Troster also asked staff to pull “this terrible ad” immediately.

“Road violence is caused by driver negligence or bad street design. Blaming pedestrians for crossing the street wrong is offensive,” Troster said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.”

On Sunday, the head of Ottawa’s Public Works Department said the test ads focusing on pedestrians have been pulled, “given the concerns with the use of the ‘jaywalking terminology.”

Russia Claims Vladimir Putin’s Party Wins Votes in Annexed Ukraine Regions

Russia claimed that the United Russia party, which staunchly backs President Vladimir Putin, had won local ballots in four Ukrainian regions occupied by Russia.

The Kremlin claimed to have annexed the eastern and southern territories last year despite not having full military control over them. The elections have been dismissed by Ukraine and its allies as a sham.

Data published by Moscow and proxy officials showed voters in the war-battered territories, where Ukraine is clawing back ground, had backed United Russia with more than 70 per cent of the ballot in each territory, state-run news agencies reported on Sunday.

The polls also being held across Russia came ahead of presidential elections next year expected to prolong Putin’s rule until at least 2030.

Russia General Says Ukraine Just ‘Stepping Stone’ to Invade Europe: ‘Won’t Stop’

A key Russian general who Russian president Vladimir Putin promoted this week said that Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine is a mere “stepping stone” to further conflict with Europe. Vladimir Putin promoted lieutenant general Andrey Mordvichev to the rank of colonel-general after he had already been serving in the role of commanding the central military district and Russian central grouping of forces in Ukraine.

In an interview with Moscow’s state-run Russia-1, Andrey Mordvichev said that he believes Vladimir Putin’s war will last quite a long time and expand in the future.

“I think there’s still plenty of time to spend. It is pointless to talk about a specified period. If we are talking about Eastern Europe, which we will have to, of course then it will be longer,” the general said.

“Ukraine is only a stepping stone?” the interviewer then asked.

“Yes, absolutely. It is only the beginning,” he responded adding that the war “will not stop here.”

Earlier, some of Vladimir Putin’s allies have floated the possibility of expanding the Kremlin’s invasion into NATO countries, including Poland and several other Eastern European nations.

This comes as Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky again rejected a suggestion that Ukraine would need to cede territory to Russia to end the war. “Did you see any compromises from Putin in other issues?” the Ukrainian leader told CNN as Russia wrapped up elections in the four Ukrainian regions — Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson — that Moscow annexed a year ago.

Biden’s Very Bizarre Vietnam Press Conference: President Whispers, Walks About Stage and Calls Climate Change Deniers ‘Lying Dog Faced Pony Soldiers’ During a Story About John Wayne and ‘Indians’ Taking Questions From Set List of Reporters

President Joe Biden whispered, he walked about the stage and he used that now-famous phrase ‘lying dog faced pony soldier’ while taking questions Sunday night in Hanoi, Vietnam from a set list of reporters.

After spending two days in India for the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Biden jetted to Vietnam Sunday to upgrade the countries’ diplomatic ties and ended the day with a press conference.

In what was supposed to be a show of stamina — Biden is circumnavigating the globe in five days — the 80-year-old commander-in-chief joked about not knowing if it was morning or night and ended the 26-minute event by saying, ‘I’m going to go to bed.’

He regaled reporters with a story he says is from a John Wayne movie and features the ‘Indians’ — not the ones he just met with — who don’t buy it when a Union soldier says ‘everything will be good’ if they go back to the reservation.

‘And the Indian looks at John Wayne and points to the Union soldier and says, ‘He’s a lying dog faced pony soldier.’ Well, there’s a lot of lying dog faced pony soldiers out there about global warming. But not anymore,’ Biden said. ‘All of the sudden, they’re all realizing it’s a problem,’ the president said, whispering into the mic.

    • More Islamic supremacism. Observant Jews don’t care what gentiles eat; kosher rules (from which halal may be derived, or perhaps it’s the coincidence of living in a hot climate withno refrigeration) apply only to themselves.

      • kosher and halal are not the same

Observant Jews stun the animal before they slit their throats.

Muslims slit their throats. Muslims have no conscience at all.

  1. A murderer and two accomplices who killed 36-year-old Alexine in Upey, Belgium, smothered her with a pillow.

Remember when doctors and nurses had to swear by the Hippocratic Oath?

    – that you will do everything you can to save a persons life..

Without the oath, the “medic” is nothing but a trained killer.
And a political assassin at that too.

Preying on the weak, elderly and the young.
These are the traits and behaviours of the so called “medical establishment” in 2023.

If they had one gram of self reflection, or dignity, they would see the abomination they have become, and the disservice they have made upon the once noble and honourable industry of the medic.

Until then, may karma catch up with them, sooner than later.
    It, thankfully, always does….

    • To be fair, the patient requested it.

Not that I disagree with any of your other statements.

However I think karma, divine retribution, threats of hell, etc., are too slow, unreliable, and unlikely to occur for me. A length of rope and a lamppost or Smith & Wesson are far speedier, reliable and certain.

      • I’m a firm believer in setting up the meeting as justice is far too slow and as you said, unreliable.

  2. Smothering a terminal cancer patient with a pillow.

I suppose the pillows can be reused, thus saving money on disposables. No need to wash the pillow case before the next use.

    • why cant the “hospital” let them simply starve to death in the basement ? wouldnt this more economically viable than using pills or pillows to kill patiences ?

  3. The Belgian government wants only those pure in health, indoctrinated, and supine to survive.

how Daewinian of them. Let’s see who is standing in 5 years.
