Bar Shooting Suspect Identified as Former Cop Whose Wife Filed for Divorce

John Snowling, a retired California police officer who was also killed in the shooting, was involved in a lengthy divorce with his wife.

The man who opened fire inside a famed Orange County biker bar, leaving four dead, was a retired police officer locked in lengthy divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, whom he wounded in the shooting.

The bloodshed unfolded Wednesday night at Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon, about 50 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, officials said.

The suspected gunman, identified as 59-year-old John Snowling, was one of the four people killed.

Snowling was a sergeant with the Ventura Police Department and worked there until his retirement in 2014, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said.

The Ventura Police Department confirmed that Snowling worked in the oceanside town from July of 1986 through February of 2014.

A friend of Snowling’s wife, who was with her at the bar on Wednesday night, said the spouse had filed for divorce against the shooter.

As Wagner Fighters Threaten New ‘March on Moscow’, Putin Says Prigozhin Was “Talented” Man Who Made “Mistakes”

Wagner supporters inside Russia have set up makeshift memorials as they mourn the loss of their leader Yevegny Prigozhin, even as speculation continues that he could still be alive.

More importantly, some are threatening a new ‘march of Moscow’ to express rage at ruling powers in Moscow and commanders in the defense ministry. August 24, it should be noted, is precisely two months since the Wagner uprising of June 23, which resulted in several deaths of regular Russian troops.

The 15th annual BRICS Summit kicked off on Tuesday evening in Johannesburg, followed by a public session on Wednesday, as the leaders representing nearly half of the world’s population discussed economic partnerships, sustainable development, and finding third-world-friendly alternatives to the Western-dominated global financial system.

Yet it wasn’t economics but the war in Ukraine that took the spotlight, as Putin—the only leader not physically present—used his screentime to rally the “global majority” to his cause and attempt to justify the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Pictures: Biden, France Suggest Prigozhin Jet Crash May Not Have Been Accident

While Moscow has been content to refer to the alleged death of Putin ally turned insurgent leader Yevgeny Prigozhin as a “crash” and “incident”, Western governments have treated the event with cynicism, treating the view that the crash was deliberate with some consideration.

The bodies of all ten bodies of those onboard the Embraer jet that crashed north of MoscowWednesday have now been recovered, and a Federal investigation has been launched, Russian media reports. The latest report out of Russia on the claimed death of Prigozhin and nine fellow passengers and crew aboard the private jet is that it acted erratically in its final seconds of flight, rapidly changing altitude and speed.

Prigozhin Plane Crash Latest: Russia to Interrogate Pilot Over ‘Bomb on Wagner Jet’

One of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s pilots will be interrogated as authorities investigate a possible bomb on his private jet, according to Russian security sources.

The theory that a bomb may have been planted on the plane carrying Prigozihn runs counter to Western intelligence conclusions that it was shot down by Russian air defence systems on the orders of Vladimir Putin.

The Kremlin has remained silent on the killing. But Telegram channels with links to the Russian security services, report that Artyom Stepanov is being sought and may have had access to the plane before its final flight. Investigators apparently believe a bomb may have exploded near the plane’s bathroom.

The West believes Vladimir Putin is likely responsible for the reported deaths of Yevgeny Prigozhin and key Wagner lieutenants. US president Joe Biden said yesterday: “There’s not much that happens in Russia that Putin’s not behind.”

The bomb theory and release of Mr Stepanov’s name appears to suit claims raised by Russian propagandists that Prigozhin was killed by a Ukrainian terror attack.

US Intelligence Assessment Determines Intentionally Caused Explosion Killed Wagner Chief Prigozhin

A preliminary U.S. intelligence assessment has found that the plane crash presumed to have killed Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was intentionally caused by an explosion, according to U.S. and Western officials.

One of the officials, who were not authorized to comment and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that the explosion fell in line with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “long history of trying to silence his critics.”

The officials did not offer any details of what caused the explosion that was believed to have killed Prigozhin and several of his lieutenants to avenge a mutiny that challenged the Russian leader’s authority.

Details of the U.S. assessment surfaced as Putin on Thursday expressed his condolences to the families of those who were reported to be aboard the jet and referred to “serious mistakes.”

The move to fast-track naturalization for foreign workers is an attempt by the German government to counter the decline in attractiveness for migrant workers in recent years and boost the country’s competitiveness for skilled workers, the government said.

German Government Approves Controversial Gender Law

Germany’s left-liberal government has approved a controversial law allowing anyone to legally change their name and gender with a simple application.

According to the so-called self-determination act—which has been in the works for over a year—adults would be able to change their first name and legal gender at registry offices without further formalities. Children 14 years and older would need their parents’ approval, and if parents do not agree, teenagers could ask a family court to overrule them. In the case of children under 14, parents or guardians would have to make applications on their behalf. The new law would make it possible for someone to make such changes every twelve months.

The governing Socialists already plan to hand out 12 million passports to illegal entrants forever linking Western Europe with Arabia and Africa, who will retain their original citizenship too.

Rape in Munich: Prime Minister of Poland dismantles German migration policy

Outrage in Warsaw: After the rape of a young Pole by an Afghan in Munich, the Polish Prime Minister calls for Polish public prosecutors to be involved in the investigation. He clearly sees the act as a consequence of the policy of open borders. Obviously there are still governments concerned about the security of the citizens – this is not the case in Germany.

The German government does not even comment any more, so common are these violent attacks, rapes, gang rapes and murders.

    • It’s all a circus for idiots. Noise in the media because of the shorts and silence about the molestation and rape of children by migrants.
This is a distraction against the backdrop of the death of Prigozhin and the internal problems of the state.
At the same time, in violation of all the laws of the Russian Federation, the Russian guy was sent to Chechnya for reprisal for burning the Koran. Where in prison he is personally beaten by Kadyrov’s son.

    • The Russian Mafia who runs those prisons will make short work of that3rd worlder. He will suffer greatly for his trouble.

  5. When we asked for reduced immigration/invasion back in the 90’s.
The French relished in calling us racists.

Goes to show, it only hurts when your so called allies spit in your eye.
You would expect as much from your enemies, but not your allies.

Every year, muslim rape gangs destroy white genetics.
Every year black riots, destroy our trust in each other without fail.
And every year, our political class tuck their tails between their legs like cowards, and feed the common man to the war machine they have made.

I doubt things can change at this point.
The French are out numbered in their own country.

    Words won’t work now..
It is not the 90’s anymore.
At this point, it is too little, too late.

  6. “Polish president Duda warns yaddayadda” — As if his opinion mattered to anyone involved in the actual conflict. A little man is feeling big, probably hoping for NATO to give him a page in the history books. Which none of us should hope for, because only others ever get to pay the bills.

    • Well ole Duda does stick up for his citizens, unlike you Germans who are being sacrificed to the WEF and marxist. Why aren’t you making your block safe?

    • The signs are all there. Now that Sweden has submitted to sharia law and the de-facto rule by the Saracens, little Denmark seems to be next on the menu. It was inevitable, really, just a matter of time and the small distance between the two nations.

The Danes are going to get squeezed from both directions, since they share a land border (via Jutland) with Germany, another nation with extensive “cultural enrichment” by the shahids or ‘true believers’ of Islam.

There seems to be something buried in the Scandinavian genetic code – some Achilles’ Heel they possess – which blinds them to the danger they are courting by displaying tolerance and compassion to the new arrivals from the Middle East and Africa.

Compassion in its proper time and place is a wonderful thing, but taken to the kind of extremes seen in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, it is very hazardous indeed.

Sir Karl Popper spoke almost eighty years ago about the paradox of tolerance,

“Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.”

It seems that the Danes, like the Swedes and Norwegians before them, are poised to learn that lesson the hardest way possible.

  7. Re: “Polish President Andrzej Duda said that one non-negotiable condition for any peace agreement in the Ukraine war is that Crimea must be returned to Ukraine. Meanwhile, Norway joined the Netherlands and Denmark in sending F-16s to Ukraine.”

Duda is making a big mistake, for the Russian Federation has historical claims to the Crimea going back to the days of the Czars, so unless he is deliberately trying to escalate matters – the Polish PM is acting very rashly indeed. Maybe his masters in Brussels put him up to it.

I am fully aware of the historic and other grievances held by the Polish people against Russia, and the suffering inflicted upon them thereby. However, the Crimea isn’t Poland and the Polish government are meddling where they ought not to be.

The appetite for blood of the neocon/neolib war-mongers in Washington, London and Brussels is apparently insatiable, for now that they have fought to the last Ukrainian (or very nearly so), they are starting in on the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway. Have the leaders of these nations gone insane? Apparently so – for they are poking a”bear” who just happens to have 2,000 nuclear warheads in its arsenal.

Whether one loves the Russians, hates them or somewhere in-between, such rash and reckless conduct is literally suicidal. No matter what one thinks of them, the fact that they possess a massive nuclear deterrent must be respected.

    • The fact that Europe and the US no longer have the capacity to fight a war is being missed as well, by the time the US and Europe gear up that capacity, the Russians will be in the Capitols of Europe and the US and it’s economy would be in tatters. It is because of that war spending in the US that is keeping our economy afloat, that is why the war continues, for once the spending stops, the economy will tank.
