Euro-Zone Bounces Back From Economic Stagnation But Core Inflation Remains ‘Sticky’

As expected, euro-zone economic growth returned to growth in Q2 with GDP rising 0.3% QoQ (better than the 0.2% rise expected) after shrinking and stagnating in the prior two periods.

While the euro zone’s GDP number looks encouraging, it was buoyed by a bumper three months from Ireland, which expanded by 3.3%. Additionally, Q2 GDP growth was weaker than consensus expectations in Germany and Italy, in line with expectations in Spain and above expectations in France.

Italy: Inflation Drops Further, Down to 6% in July — ISTAT

(ANSA) — ROME, JUL 31 — Italy’s annual inflation rate stayed on a downward trend this month, falling to 6%, down from 6.4% in June, according to provisional data released by Istat on Monday.

The drop took the inflation rate back down to the same level as April 2022.

The national statistics agency said its consumer price index was up by 0.1% in July 2023 in month-on-month terms. Driven by soaring energy prices after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, inflation peaked at 11.8% in October and November 2022.

Istat said its “trolley” index of goods such as food and personal and household products came in at 10.4% in year-on-year terms in July, down from 10.5% in June.

The company is still shopping a small 3PL unit, which may delay a filing. However, it laid off most of its nonunion workforce last week and told union employees on Sunday afternoon not to show up.

California Parents Sue Over Law Preventing Religious Schools From Using State Funds for Special Ed Students

Jewish parents are fighting over a California law they say explicitly prevents students with disabilities from receiving equal access to education funding and benefits at religious schools in the state.

Oral arguments were heard in Loffman v. California Department of Education earlier this month at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California over the case brought by a group of orthodox Jewish parents and schools fighting what they believe is a discriminatory law that hurts the educational goals of their children with special needs.

The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, with the support of the Orthodox Union, the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, are fighting on behalf of the parents’ religious liberty, which they believe is protected under the federal law, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), which ensures funding for children with disabilities so they are able to receive an education that meets their unique needs.

Corporate Media Downplays Hillary Clinton’s Emails: Mostly ‘Cooking Recipes and Appointments’

Corporate media hacks are trying to downplay Hillary Clinton’s email scandal while attempting to hype up reports on the politically motivated classified documents case against President Donald Trump.

The media is flooded with reports about the Biden Justice Department’s case against Trump, the Democrat president’s main rival in the 2024 presidential election.

However, the same media outlets are completely ignoring the mounting scandal regarding allegations of bribery, influence peddling, and other criminal corruption against Biden and his family.

Many have also highlighted the double standard in dealing with Hillary’s infamous email scandal compared to the DOJ’s targeting of Trump.

However, according to MSNBC host and Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart, there is “no similarity” between Clinton’s email scandal and Trump’s case.

Hazardous Chemical Found in Water After Dow Plant Explosion

(lailluminator.com) — Water sampling after the recent explosion and fire at the Dow Chemical facility in Plaquemine found elevated levels of the hazardous compound ethylene oxide. But when the same sample was tested at a separate lab, it showed virtually no contamination, according to a preliminary incident report from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.

The LDEQ report said the July 14 fire involved five “bullet tanks,” which are large, elongated storage containers typically used to hold fuels or other volatile chemicals. Dow’s emergency crews were working to isolate the tanks they believed were fueling the fire, the report stated.

Deluge systems to extinguish the fire flowed over a containment area and into a canal that leads to the Dow facility’s Mississippi River outfall.

LDEQ inspector Miranda Brengartner noted in the report that water sampling a day after the fire showed ethylene oxide levels at 39 parts per million (ppm) and then 0.1 ppm when retested at a different on-site laboratory.

Ethylene oxide is used to make a broad range of consumer and industrial products, including detergents and disinfectants. It is usually refrigerated when transported because it is volatile and flammable at room temperature. It is also a proven carcinogen in humans who are exposed to excessive amounts.

The maximum safe concentration of ethylene oxide in water is 41 ppm, according to the American Chemistry Council.

Brengartner didn’t specify in the LDEQ report where the water samples were taken from at the Dow facility and provided no explanation for the discrepancy between results from the two labs. Dow is supposed to provide LDEQ with the water sample data and have a third party conduct further testing, according to the report.

Long Island Dad Arrested for Stabbing Wife and 2-Year-Old Daughter to Death: Police

A father was arrested after stabbing his wife and their 2-year-old daughter to death inside their Long Island home, according to police.

Suffolk County police said officers responded to a home on Jefferson Avenue in the town of Brentwood around 4:30 p.m. after 31-year-old Zanoor Jaffari allegedly stabbed his wife, Misbah Batool, and their 2-year-old daughter Iazia Jaffari. Police believe it was Jaffari’s mother who lives with them who called 911 about the incident.

Prosecutors Monday said Jaffari was standing in the middle of the room, covered in blood when police arrived at the family’s home.

The mother and daughter each suffered several stab wounds and were rushed to South Shore University Hospital, where both were pronounced dead.

Jaffari was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital for medical evaluation and was later discharged. He faces two counts of second-degree murder, police said. Police believe he may have been having a medical episode, possibly from an overdose, at the time of the attack.

“Too Much Too Fast”: EU Diplomats Worry Biden Administration Dictating China Policy

Nervous ambassadors from EU member states have voiced their dissatisfaction that the Biden administration holds too much sway over setting European strategic policy towards China. Officials speaking to the South China Morning Post voiced their complaints amid internal EU concern over potential economic decoupling from Beijing.

Despite moderate opposition from France and Hungary over the past year, Brussels has moved towards reducing its economic dependence on China through various legislative measures designed to safeguard European control of green technology and the supply of raw materials in what Commission officials have called a “de-risking” strategy.

China to Crash EV Market and Paralyse Motorists in UK

Only two decades have passed since China’s car industry began out-producing that of the UK. Now, British officials are fearful of Beijing’s dominance bringing British roads to a standstill.

Concerns relate specifically to electric vehicles. These are 40% cheaper to manufacture in China than in Europe. It is expected that Chinese models will flood the market in the coming years given the Conservative government’s plan to ban the sale of all new petrol and diesel cars by 2030.

A new report warns of a major impending security risk in handing Beijing the power to immobilise thousands of cars owned by Britons—and many others across Europe. Professor Jim Saker of the Institute of the Motor Industry, quoted in The Times, said “the threat of connected electric vehicles flooding the country could be the most effective Trojan horse that the Chinese establishment has.” There would, he added, be no way to prevent Chinese state-owned manufacturers from including technology in cars set to be exported which could bring them all to a halt.

Germans Have ‘Moral Obligation’ to Give Up Living Standards and Wealth, Claims Green Party MP

Germans are facing an increasing range of economic problems, including recession, inflation, falling real wages, and even the beginnings of deindustrialization, but Green Party MP Green Party Johannes Wagner is claiming that Germans have a “moral duty” to give up their wealth.

Wagner took to Twitter to express his outrage that Germans do not want to give away their wealth.

“It’s such a shame that so many people don’t see (or don’t want to?) what incredible prosperity we have in Germany. We are one of the richest countries on Earth. We can still give so much. And also have a moral obligation to do so,” he wrote.

The scientists highlight that eight specific reactors in Germany have the greatest potential for restarting. However, they presuppose that the ongoing dismantling of the power plants is stopped immediately and the relevant laws are changed in the Bundestag, Die Weltwoche reported.

Polish Lawmakers Pass Watered-Down Russian Influence Law

It now only requires Duda’s signature on the dotted line. While the previous law is currently in effect, the commission members have not yet been elected.

Quran Burned at 3rd Small Sweden Protest After Warning That Desecrating Islam’s Holy Book Brings Terror Risk

Two protesters burned pages torn from a Quran outside Sweden’s parliament in Stockholm Monday, the third such demonstration in recent weeks and the first since the country’s prime minister warned that demonstrations involving the desecration of Islam’s holy book were making Sweden a bigger target for terrorism.

On Monday, two men — Salwan Momika and Salwan Najem — kicked and stomped on a Quran before setting some pages from the book alight, French news agency AFP reported. Momika, a Christian Iraqi refugee, and Najem previously burned a copy of the Quran in June while standing outside Stockholm’s Grand Mosque on the day of Eid-ul-Adha, the most important religious festival on the Muslim calendar.

Momika, who sought political asylum in Sweden a few years ago, also staged another protest in July at which he stomped on a Quran and used the Iraqi flag to wipe his shoes outside Iraq’s embassy in the Swedish capital.

UK: Sunak Approves Oil and Gas Licences Amid Fears of Electoral Defeat

Discovering significant policy differences between the UK Tory and Labour parties is no easy job. But with the prospect of a humiliating electoral defeat looming in the sights of Rishi Sunak’s government, the prime minister is working to create the impression of a gulf on green policies.

In Israel, a Law Has Been Passed That Toughens the Punishment for Extortion

In recent years, Israeli small businesses, farmers, and even major developers have been facing extortion and constant intimidation throughout the country. In response to this the government before heading for summer vacation, has passed a bill that increases the penalties for demanding money through threats and blackmail, as reported by the Israeli government website.

According to the bill, convicting an extortionist is now easier since it is sufficient to prove the receipt of money without providing corresponding services, which simplifies the work of law enforcement and the court. Previously, it was necessary to prove direct income extortion. The minimum criminal sentence for extortion is 3 years, and the maximum is up to 9 years.

Furthermore, the new bill approved by the government, also allows for the seizure of extorted money without the need for approval from a criminal court, under an administrative procedure.

Russia Has Won the Oil War

Moscow’s leadership may not have been cheering loudly, but they probably still celebrated quietly within the walls of the Kremlin. After all, Russia has won the oil war. The news has been widely reported among economists and even in Western press, but it cannot be said to have come as a surprise shock. Those involved in the global oil business knew that they could not win such a war against Russia.

The United States and the European Commission’s measures to reduce Russian energy exports aimed to produce problems for the Russian treasury by reducing its revenues. However, it seems that the punitive measures introduced without any impact assessment have been seriously misguided, especially on the part of the EU. Rather, the EU has punished itself by foregoing cheap Russian gas and being forced to buy expensive U.S. natural gas.

The Demographic Crisis in Ukraine is Worsening: Birth Rates Have Decreased by 28%

In the first six months of 2023, there were 96,755 births in Ukraine, which is 28% less compared to the corresponding pre-war period in 2021 (when 135,079 babies were born). This is the lowest record in all years of independence, as reported by Opendatabot.

Overall, the birth rate in the country has been declining since 2013, by approximately 7% annually. However, the full-scale invasion has led to the most significant crisis. The previous anti-record was also related to the war — in 2015, the birth rate dropped by 12% in one year.

India: Jihadi People Brutally Attacked a Hindu Student With Weapons and Sticks in Uttrakhand

So-called ‘frightened’ Muslim community people attacked a Hindu student with weapons and sticks, tension in the area. Four arrested.

ISIS Claims Responsibility for the Bombing That Killed 54 at a Pro-Taliban Election Rally in Pakistan

KHAR, Pakistan (AP) — An Afghan branch of Islamic State on Monday claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in Pakistan that killed at least 54 people at a pro-Taliban party’s election rally, in one of the region’s worst attacks in recent years.

Islamic State in Khorasan Province made the claim in a statement posted on its Amaq website. It said the attacker detonated an explosive vest, and that the bombing in the northwestern town of Bajur was part of the group’s continuing war against forms of democracy it deems to be against Islam.

Hours earlier, hundreds of mourners in Bajur carried caskets draped in colorful cloths to burial sites following the previous day’s attack at the election rally for the Jamiat Ulema Islam party. Officials said Sunday’s bombing killed 54 people, including at least five children, and wounded nearly 200.

The attack appeared to reflect divisions between Islamist groups, which have a strong presence in the district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that borders Afghanistan. The Jamiat Ulema Islam party has ties to the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban.

Australia’s Draconian “Misinformation” Bill Threatens to Usher in Unprecedented Era of Illiberal Double Standards, Warns Victorian Bar

The Australian Government’s tyrannical Communications Legislation Amendment (Combating Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023 is facing formidable resistance from the Victorian Bar, as it sounds the alarm over a grave assault on freedom of speech and expression.

This Orwellian legislation, pushed by the communications minister since January, seeks to arm the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) with oppressive powers to tackle online “misinformation and disinformation.” Its draconian provisions include a mandate for the ACMA to hawkishly monitor progress in stifling online “misinformation” on various digital platforms, and enforce industry standards designed to muffle free speech under the guise of fighting disinformation.

The Victorian Bar has courageously voiced “serious objections” to this bill in a recent deposition to the Law Council of Australia.

He said users should be sure to charge the devices uncovered and on hard surfaces that would dissipate any build up of heat.

Niger Suspends Uranium & Gold Exports Amid Rumors of Imminent French Military Intervention

Last week’s coup in Niger is already fast becoming an internationalized conflict situation, as the West African nation’s former colonial ruler France has denounced and condemned the junta—while urging that ousted President Mohamed Bazoum be immediately reinstated. Coup supporters are now attacking diplomatic locations and French interests, including the French embassy in the capital of Niamey.

Bazoum is reportedly in good health following the harrowing events days ago when he was taken captive by his own presidential guard. Interestingly, the very rationale of those who overthrew his democratically elected government (merely two years in) centers on geopolitical matters: growing jihadi violence has become a major issue and he’s been severely criticized for failing to secure the nation and the safety of the population. But others say that’s just a pretext for what was an internal power struggle and military machinations. Currently, there are emerging reports in Mideast-Africa regional sources that Niger (under the junta) has suspended all exports of uranium and gold to France.

Population in EU Has Increased for the First Time in Two Years, Including Due to Ukrainian Refugees

In 2022, the population of the European Union (EU) increased for the first time in two years after experiencing a decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, the population of the EU reached 448.4 million people in 2022 compared to 446.7 million in the previous year. The natural decline in population was offset by immigration.

The intensification of migration flows after the end of the pandemic, as well as a significant influx of displaced persons from Ukraine, contributed significantly to the population growth.

In the two previous years, there was negative population growth, with a decrease of approximately 500,000 people in 2020 and nearly 300,000 people in 2021.

Jobs Denied! Social Worker Penalized for Dylan Mulvaney Comments

Radke has never shied away from expressing his viewpoint, even amidst backlash, bringing his personal battle for free speech into the public eye yet again.

Radke, known for his sharp and forthright commentary, made headlines by openly discussing his perspective on the ongoing discourse around the rights of biological women and trans issues.

Over a series of X posts, he rebutted accusations of bigotry, womanizing, and abuse hurled at him, emphasizing that those who branded him such were conversely endorsing the notion that trans individuals can experience menstruation.

Trump Vows to Sign Executive Order ‘On Day One’ to Cut Funding for Schools Pushing ‘Transgender Insanity’

President Donald Trump has vowed to sign an executive order “on Day One” of his second term in the White House that cracks down on schools pushing radical leftist ideologies.

During the Iowa Republican dinner in Des Moines on Friday, Trump revealed his plans for tackling the issue of public schools indoctrinating children.

Trump promised that he will sign an executive order to cut federal funding for any school pushing “transgender insanity.”

He said he also plans to block taxpayers’ funds from going to schools that push Marxism-based Critical Race Theory (CRT).

UK: ‘Safe Spaces’: Wokery Recruitment at NHS

In the midst of what is nothing short of a historic crisis for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), its staff are ‘advised’ to adopt a speech code, which would ask them—under possible threat of ostracization—to mention their preferred pronouns in every patient interaction.

The new protocol, included in a new training module titled ‘LGBTQIA + Awareness’, is meant to cater to sensitivities presumably held by all transgender and non-binary patients—a whopping 0.5% of Great Britain’s population.

The advice, which comes from Health Education England, a so-called ‘quango’ (quasi autonomous NGO) reads: “The easiest thing to do is to start by introducing yourself with your own pronoun. In doing so,” the organization claims, “you are creating a safe space for trans, non-binary, intersex and gender non-conforming people who may not feel comfortable to go first in introducing themselves with pronouns.”

New Climate Chief: Climate Alarmists Make Matters Worse

The new head of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has issued a stark warning for climate alarmists “not to fall into a state of shock,” stating that the world will not come to an end if global temperatures happen to increase by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.

British scientist Jim Skea, Professor of Sustainable Energy at Imperial College in London, was elected last week as the head of the IPCC, the UN body responsible for assessing the science related to climate change and providing governments with information that they can use to develop climate policies.

  1. The USA is criminal.
    And Europe is degenerate.

The new arrivals will feast upon them, like meat, around the already simmering fire.

And everybody else in the civilised world, will breath a sigh of relief, when it is all over.

Who need enemies, when you have allies like that.

IS THERE A MORE STUPID COUNTRY, BESIDES THE MUSLIM ONES, ON THIS PLANET?

The armed forces have built “indestructible” pride flag from armored steel

    Published August 1, 2023

Ahead of the Pride Festival, the Swedish Armed Forces have produced an “indestructible” rainbow flag from armored steel. This “to symbolize the importance of a strong defense for our human rights”.

The flag, created from a piece of armored PLATE painted in the colors of the Pride flag, will be visible outside Pride Park in Stockholm throughout Pride Week.

“A defense with a will of steel”, reads the message on the armored flag.

During Pride Week, the flag will be seen not only as an outdoor unit, but also in print and digital units, writes the Swedish Armed Forces in a press release.

    – It is more important than ever that we clearly take a stand for human rights and do everything to defend them.

We think that the flag, made of armor plate – a durable and protective material – conveys a strong message not only to the LGBTQI+ community but to everyone in Sweden about where the Armed Forces stand when undemocratic winds sweep across the world. Our mission is to defend everyone’s equal rights, and we want to convey that not least during Pride, says Johan Landeström, marketing manager at the Swedish Armed Forces.

    • FreeSweden: Add armored rainbow flags to the list of important military hardware made by Sweden’s world-renowned defense industry, which gave us the Gripen fighter jet, the Karl Gustav recoiless rifle and Bofors anti-aircraft guns.

      • Painted pervert flags are no proof against flammenwerfer.

Of course it’s a perfect metaphor for everything wrong with the West today; a mindless celebration of a perversion of sexuality, symbolism over substance, and a misplacement of priorities and fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of and function of a military. And all this because of a society that has been allowed to be dominated by its females and infested with their emotionalism, and ruined by their lack of rational and critical thought.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have another winner!
As some of us’ve been suggesting for years: Repeal the 19th (and similar legislation throughout the UK and EU) and the nightmare ends.

    BURN, BURN KORANS EN MASSE…

“Maybe it’s time to pack up – we’re not accepted here”

    Published 1 August 2023 at 07.11

Swedish State TV, SVT Nyheter, has spoken to Muslims in Rinkeby who say they are in despair that Koran burnings are allowed. Some even claim that they are considering leaving Sweden.

    – Even though we were born in Sweden, we are Swedish citizens, maybe it’s time to pack. We are not accepted here, says Abdillahi Osman to SVT.

Salma Asad says she is worried that the Koran burnings send a negative signal to younger Muslims.

    – I think it is a dangerous development when children grow up and feel that the legal society does not protect them, she says.

Abdalla, who “lectures about Islam for young people in Rinkeby”, says that “Sweden’s image has been tarnished” by the events.

    – This is more than just a book, this is my life, on the other hand, Mohamed from Pakistan explains to SVT Nyheter.

    • These orcs in Sweden will never be Swedes, for a dog born in a barn doesn’t make it a horse. They will always be orcs.

  4. True ,a mad dog in a barn is a danger to the horses, cows, and other livestock in the barn ,and would be removed and shoot by any sane good farmer. The west is being run by stupid mad farmers with no interest in running safe ,good farms ( countries) ,no national pride ,no love of a country cultural ,or history .They are beholding to the unelected elites who want you gone, want you dead ,it is simple as that.
